Logs

Some severe pruning by Council makes it necessary to archive this cache. At Waypoint 1 every branch within reach has been lopped off. Waypoint 2 has only 30cm of the trunk left.

No luck. The clues lead me to tree. There has been a lot of limb chopping. I hope the start point is still in tact but I couldn't find it. I'll watch this one for a while I think.

18-Apr-12
My little cousin found this one for us. TFTC KellickGuider.

18-Apr-12
A pleasant stroll back and forth between points. 4 year-old geo grandchild eventually came with the goods at the final location.

Not difficult but very good practice for using GPS. TFC

Gone missing this time but now replaced and ready to go.

We had fun with this one in the rain today. I introduced my nephew's three children to geocaching and this is not far from their home.
Had no trouble locating the waypoints but had no luck with the actual cache.
Met a lady who lived nearby but unfortunately she was unable to offer any assistance.
TFTC - will try again some time.

I enjoyed the ramble by bicycle Smile
Waypoint one took me ages to find and I almost gave up there [:o]
I couldn't see if fir looking Wink
Waypoint two was much easier Razz
But that cache was not going to reveal itself [:o]
Fortunately there didn't seem to be anyone home next door, but it was still a nervous search.
Nothing turned up though !!

We may just have to revisit this one. We sorted out the WPs easy enough, or so we thought, but we were unable to locate the booty. Even with Mr Router riding shotgun today and checking where he remembered finding the cache we were unable to locate the goods. We enjoyed chatting with the resident about her garden but she barely knew what we were talking about when we mentioned to her what we were doing. Thanks for the walk though Smile

This one has been a real work in progress over the last few months. Found WP1 and WP2 easy but each time I visited GZ there were muggles about. The last time The resident was mowing the lawn out the front and on speaking with her briefly we got the impression she had no idea what we were talking about when we told her what we were looking for so we just moved on without any searching. It is a very nice garden at GZ
Tonight under the cover of darkness I made the short walk to GZ and had the cache in hand quickly and log signed.

Grabed the coin to move on.

Big Grin The cache was placed with permission. Please remember that the cache is wheelchair accessible so you can reach the cache without setting foot on private property.

12-Nov-10
this seems a lot lie private property, on our may attempted visit to gz it looks like private, today they were gardening gz, please let us know if the muggles know the cache is there

11-Nov-10
The cache was placed with the property owner's permission. She knows all about geocaching (now).

Found this one a while ago but forgot to log it. Might have had something to do with feeling abit stressed about not having any goodies when the goulies came a knocking for trick or treat. Felt rather awkward about getting last part of cache. Anne had been out gardening on several occasions on the way past!

03-Oct-10
This was our second attempt at this one (didn't log the first as we gave up more due to the cold than frustration) and was easy as! Took the geohounds on a stroll in the slight drizzle and came up with the goods - nice hide.

27-Sep-10
Almost stopped to go back to the car because of the rain!

27-Sep-10

Thanks for rescuing the waypoint,Lagup. We have placed a more secure container in the same location that should be more windproof.

11-Aug-10
My first multicache - fun to find.

10-Jun-10
Checked... Log is still there! I didn't accidentally take it home with me.

10-Jun-10
A great little multi to do after work with the kids. My 12 year old son sometimes cannot see the forest for the trees. At gz and he is saying no dad not here. Said what about that and he just gives me one of those young boy looks. I was probably the same at his age.

Well some times my stupidity is astounding. As mentioned to the cache owner last night 870 finds but with this one the lights were on and no one was home.

Fixed my error and signed the right log. still shaking my head.

Had a good look around, albeit in the dark... Tried lots of ideas, but none panned out!
I'm obviously missing something...
Ran out of wheelchair accessible places to search!

Success!
With doubting Thomas left at home, and my first FTF at stake, I went for a second midnight stroll tonight, and this time stopped for a really good LOOK! Eventually, all was revealed and off I went on an interesting moonlit adventure.
TFTC! And for the FTF prize Smile
