Searched all around the structure, but no luck as per previous DNFs, think it needs checking
Please could you check this cache and inform us if that cache is still in place! Otherwise can it be archived please! Thanks
More than 5 years later with better caching eyes we finally found this one after a bit of searching.

As Konie and I were passing by today, we stopped off to make a quick find. Log signed, everything returned as found, then we were on our way again. TFTC
TFTC Found with AmazingGracieGrace & MissCharlieBear. MCB found this one, a real team effort on GZ!! Awesome hide but a little exposed. Not sure if that’s meant to be. SL & RAF.
Found the sneaky cache .Not many places where it can be hidden now. Not tied just resting between.

Well hidden but standing still and just looking helped, along with the clue and reading past logs. Tftc
A quick find with frmen1. No lid seen, but being RITR paper, should be okay. Interesting structure. TFTC
Had a good look but no joy this time. Will simply need to come back another day.
Cheers,

Arrived from Townsville today and setup the caravan at the Big4. Decided to get the bikes down and have a ride around and see what we could get.
This one was a little tricky, going round and round and finally spotted it.
Thanks Cragged for the caches.

Total Cache Finds 12963,
Visiting the area helping out BenM70 with a job. Someone has to do the heavy lifting it seems. In between breaks in the teeming rain, i was able to run out of the car, spot this little lidless wonder, extract it with my technical extracting tool, signed and replaced. Certainly a bit damp out
We found cache laying on the ground..we signed log. Placed it on the support where we think it needed to be.. not hard to find if you follow the hint..
We had a beautiful walk around this very Green Park this morning. It is great to be finally visiting charters towers and to be able to have a look around the town and find out a little more about the history of this area.
GZ was quirky, historic and very cute.
Thanks Cragged for bringing us this way.

We decided to start caching a little bit earlier than usual - best decision ever as it started showering later in the morning and then it just rained all afternoon.
We completed the tribe series as well as many other interesting caches north of Charters Towers.
Thanks to the CO's for placing these caches.

Glad to be celebrating this milestone with stephyy and she was the one to spot it first I thought she was going to knock me to the ground when she spotted this one. Tftc Cragged ????

The only traditional cache for Ghostgums and I as we visited Charters Towers today. We had plenty of others on the list but this one was close enough to snare while walking around the park, so it deserved our attention. [^]
Over to GZ, a quick scan of the area revealed the container very quickly and our names were added to the log.
Cheers Cragged.

Found as part of the Qld Cache mega event weekend in Townsville over Easter 2022. Joined forces with Gunnie69 after flying up from Brisbane to tackle a variety of caches around the Townsville area including three GeoArt series, other puzzles and a few labs! I would like to thank all the cache owners who are making this an enjoyable weekend!
Today we trekked out along the Flinders Highway to the historical town of Charters Towers. Enjoyed some of the sights, old buildings, occasional wildlife and of course lunch at a local pub!

Townsville Mega Day Four.
Having negotiated the Maze, I’m off to Charters Towers for the day.
Sometimes you just get lucky. I’ve arrived at this one and there is almost no light left at all, but I put my hand out and even though I couldn’t see it, I felt something cachey. BAM!!

Day 3 of our Townsville Mega event weekend. Out early with hevwalker for a walk along the river doing an adlab and a couple of caches before going to GZ to the official opening and a quick run through the Maze. Then we headed of to Charters Towers to do touristy stuff and find a few caches. Was expecting a bit of a search here but was an easy and quick find. TFTC
Day 7 of our trek to the Townsville Mega and back with fitzy_1965 and two of my geo-kids Death_killer & my_name_jeff_1.
The long awaited day we drive into Townsville! We did a bit of caching around Charters Towers before leaving. Definitely some great caching there and some good Adventure Labs worth doing. A simple drive to Townsville: we are all happy to finally be here. The kids were very glad to have a quick dip in the pool at the Motel before some rest before all things Mega kicking off tomorrow.
All caches were found quickly and easily unless otherwise mentioned.

27,564. Found with minniek during our Grand Townsville Trek up to CacheQLD's Townsville Mega Event over Easter.
Day 7 of our Townsville Trek, and we cached our way around Charters Towers again during the morning, before doing the short journey to Townsville for the main event (literally !). A couple of neat Adventure Labs were completed, as well as their bonus caches (one a real doozy) plus some other must do caches along the way. This cache was a nice simple Trad which we enjoyed doing. A quick find at GZ. Signed the log, replaced the cache, then continued along to the next cache on our list.

It’s Mega time once again!! Woo hoo!! Love these epic road trips. This time the plan is Canberra to Narromine to Cunnamulla to Blackall, a detour via Winton and then swinging back to Charters Towers before the main event in Townsville. Will see if the April rains and flooding detour us! Thanks to everyone who placed and maintained all these caches that enabled us to have a wonderful holiday! Thanks for the cache.
I do love spending time in Charters Towers. I have family connections and have visited many times over the years. I now know it is also a fabulous place to go caching. We stayed over night and managed to get a few hours of caching in today before heading to Townsville. We certainly found some very entertaining caches but left plenty for next time. Thanks for the fun day.
#13911 - 10:34:00 AM; Day eight of the Townsville Mega adventure with Sol de lune. Made it through to Townsville last night and headed out to Charters Towers to try our hand at the variety of cache types in the area today. Managed 30 finds for the day on the way to and from and around the town in Charters Towers, with one DNF. Cache types we found included Adventure Labs, Letterbox Hybrids, Trads, Multis, Unknown (Puzzle), Wherigos, a virtual and an earthcache. All caches were found in good order unless noted in the log and where required each has been signed L.L10n & Sdl or vice versa. Apologies for the largely generic logs [:o)] TFTC Cragged
Day 8 of the road trip to Townsville to with LuckyL10n and today it was a drive from Townsville out to Charters Towers.
A quieter day than others on the trip, but that was due to the different types. Puzzles, WIG's and Multi's were the order of the day. A couple of trads of course as went right past them....and we couldn't leave them could we?
Left CT around 2.30 and head for Cardwell to help fill in a few counties up towards Carins and the Tablelands. All up, another great day.
Thanks to all the CO's for the caches....they all help to make the trip a good time.

This is day four of the big Townsville trip and today Fangsoki, Crew 153, 1MinnieMoo, Pprime and I are heading out on a big western loop of the itinerary. It's exciting to head south-west this far and see some parts of Queensland I've not seen before! And we're now in Charters Towers which I've seen photos of, and excited to see myself.
Being in the backseat, I got to just follow along with whatever was next, and for the others, that was an AdLab in this park. I wasn't interested, so wandered off to look at the various installations of the park, and I noticed this geocache was within grasp. And looked a bit different.
I meandered my way, separate from the others and began my hunt of the area, having read the listing. I poked about a little when Fang and Crew arrived. Just in time too as I'd paused to peruse some logs, then looked up and found it quickly - I was staring right at it.
Getting the logbook out was a micro-mission, but some diddling had it in hand. It was just after 14:00 as I signed the logbook and placed the geocache back as found. I'm glad I wandered over to look for this, now to explore Lissner Park a bit more. Thanks for this geocache, Cragged

I was invited on an early morning drive with Sheridan (from Jacs Team) and Vic (from Waz and Vic) for some caches in the Charters Towers area. We had no set plans, just a few on a wish list and a few we both had solved. It was again another fun day with these two ladies. I like caching with these two, the simplicity in our caching day, the stories, the banter and the laughs were just all day; nothing is a problem, thank you.
We collected some nice caches and a very different adventure lab on the way in from Townsville, we even left a fun little multi for our return home. The day saw us collecting a whereigo, some trads, a couple of old caches, some nice D/T caches. There was a virtual and a couple of puzzles, some more adventure labs, a bite to eat and a stop off to collect some Shinny little disc thingies. An absolute great day. All logs were signed with the three names and all caches replaced as found.
Thanks to all the CO’s for the hides.

Container in poor shape, but log still dry. Reckon we looked for this one on a previous visit with no luck, but good fortune this time.
Our first full day in Charters Towers, and we decided to head out reasonably early as it is forecast to be quite warm. We targeted a variety of cache types including Adventure Lab, puzzle, traditional multi and Wherigo. All successful with no DNFs. Even managed to pick up one we think we looked for but could not find last time we were here.
What a lovely old town Charters Towers is. We particularly like seeing the range of old buildings on offer.
Thank you to the local COs for developing and maintaining the caches for us to find. It is much appreciated.

TFTC had lunch in the park and then thought we’d look for this geocache. container is missing its lid but log is dry
Found what is left of this hide: the damaged container minus lid, and a little pulp that would have been a logsheet once. Added a small slip of paper as a temporary solution, bearing our name and date.
Inevitably on a long trip when many geocaches are being found, some get missed. Unfortunately, at the time, this was one of them. So, although out of chronological order, I am logging them today for simplicity. So my apologies for the generic log and the out of date sequence.
Our trip commenced on Friday November 28th and concluded on Tuesday December 22nd. During that time, we visited caches in Maryborough, Childers, Rockhampton, Yeppoon, Sarina, Mackay, Bowen, Townsville and Cairns, with other places in between like Proserpine, Home Hill, Ayr, Ingham to name just a few, with many wonderful single stop caches along the way.
Our party consisted of myself, hatzofff, grannysmith1947, and on occasion, youngoldfella.

Day 18 of my trip north from Adelaide.
Today was spent caching and sightseeing around Charters Towers. I had picked out the multis, puzzles, wherigos and traditional caches that I was keen to do and picked up a few other opportunistic traditional caches along the way. I also completed the new Lab caches in town.
All in all it was as a very pleasant day, with a cool morning and a relatively mild day, which made things much easier and more enjoyable. In all I managed to find 7 puzzles, 9 multis, 3 wherigos, 13 traditionals and an earthcache for a total of 33 caches for the day (plus the Lab caches). I only had one DNF.
Nice hide.
Thanks Cragged for the cache.
