A great little cache in a nice place, had a double take from a muggle that surprised us but our pure acting skills kicked in and we became bird watchers for a moment,I think they bought it! TFTC
1043 16 Jul 14. Tin is showing a bit of character, but still watertight. The log is choc-a-bloc and needs replacing. SLTFTC.
The log is chockers. Needs replacing, otherwise, seems to be in good condition. TFTC oldwinebottle.
Found with GeoLoch! Nice & easy, actually walk right past it to get some liquid refreshment!
Nice area!!

I remember staying in buildings like these during my airforce days..... nice clever hide TFTC
Found! A quick one for me today. I parked with only one other car in carpark but no muggles about. Cache was in its hidey spot but very visable. I removed someone's else rubbish from the container, someones joke of a swap I think. CO will need to look at log book. It is now full.

The Adventure:
Well, this was a surprise little one for me to find.
I was asked to give a little talk the Venturer unit about Geocaching, so while I was waiting, I opened my app to see which was the closest cache so as to give them an idea of just how close a cache could be. And low and behold this cache showed up. It was perfectly placed.
I hope that some of the young adult in that were there take up geocaching as I have enjoyed it and hope they do to.

I headed out for the Werribee area early this morning to find some caches before the Rogaining event at 10AM with BernieH and DrJim07 which was part of my training for Oxfam Trailwalker in May
A nice walk along the river and a surprisingly quick find once at GZ. Nice hiding spot.

Awesome location. Great hide. My family is in the werribee guides so close to home!
Visiting Dad with my family so took him and step Mum for a walk to find a few Caches. This was our first. Geoson ran off ahead and found it first, then put it back. When Dad and I arrived, I gave Dad the GPS and watched him find it. He found it no worries. Log signed and put back in place. Kids played on the playground for a few mins then on to the next one. TFTC.
With the nice playground here it could be a nice area if only people took their bottles and rubbish home with then. Easy find TFTC
The good old GPS took me miles away so I enjoyed the walk around to the old market gardens.
No muggles in sight until after I had done my duty so I retraced my tracks.
Thanks for the exercise oldwinebottle.

had a bit of a wait... lots of muggles around... lucky geodog was with us... so loitering was ok

A quick find today after the hairdresser cancelled out on me and I had some time to spare. What better way to spend some time than to grab a couple of caches.

At first I thought the cache was going to be closer to the creek, then the GPS resolved itself to point in another direction & the cache was easily found.
Thanks

When we arrive there was a large group of boys right near the cache location. I wondered whether we were going to have to leave it. But then they just walked away, so we strolled over for an easy find. Thanks
Got to the cache to sign our log only to discover it had been signed 7 minutes before we arrived there! Cachers we know your out there, we had to have passed you at some stage, was great to receive feedback of intelligent caching life out there, somewhere. Thanks oldwinebottle for the cache!
It is amazing how scouts still attract adventure and this one ws good one for the bananas after a large detour. Well done oldwinebottle for some more adventure.
Theres time to find one last cache before the train comes if I am quick enough... I raced up the path on my bike, but stopped just short of GZ when I spied a water fountain. In todays heat, this is a neccessity. Refreshed, I wandered to GZ and the cache was found quickly. I signed and replaced the log with 5 minutes to get to the station still. Win!
Thanks for the cache oldwinebottle, and fulfilling my need for "just one more".

Had to come to Werribee this morning so it was a good chance to pick up some more in the area. Thanks oldwinebottle.
Another Demolition Crew caching day / night with the usual crew being Quasar3671, TrailRunning and Rebel Acts. A fantastic run, with some great caches found and logged. We had bikes and kayaks this time, which was very entertaining, as were my pathetic kayaking skills..... Thankfully my bike riding is great. A few milestones for the night, TrailRunning's 4000th find and another 5/5 DT cache. A fantastic, fun night as always. Thanks to all the CO's their hides, without their efforts, we would have had nothing to find.
Nice quick find here with 4 of us searching. TFTC.

This was, cache # 41 of 46 Found in the company of Trailrunning, Blacklegend and Quasar3671 on a big all nighter caching in the Werribee area, Yaking and biking, with a 5/5 thrown into the mix. A nice quick find here. My thanks to oldwinebottle for the cache.
This cache was found as part of a cache run with my fellow TDC members Quasar3671, Blacklegend & Rebel Acts. I think I might have done this one before and not logged it. Oh well, back here again tonight to collect this one. Thanks.
Run Summary
----------------------
I had been waiting for some nice weather on a Monday evening to tackle the Werribee River caches by kayak and to clear out the area with The Demolition Crew. When I suggested that this Monday night was the one, plans were made late last week to arrive here with 2 kayak and four bikes. The run, as usual started by meeting at the first cache and from there we moved through Melbourne to the Werribee area. The highlight of the night was certainly the 10km+ kayak trip down the Werribee River to it's mouth. I recommend this to anyone with a spirit of adventure as the view from the river are fantastic. Soon after the Bluestone Ford cache we encountered a number of large fallen trees that required the caches to be portages over, under and through the obstacles. That was fun in itself and well worth the experience. But tonight was a personal highlight for two reasons; reaching 4,000 finds, and collecting my second 5/5 D/T cache. Thanks to all the CO's for a memorable night.

Found after a bit of a wait for the path to clear - popular track on a beautiful day! TFTC
Found today whilst walking geo-dog.
I don't think it needs maintenance. Nice and dry, plenty of spots left in the log.
Signed log, and replaced to where I found it.

Finally got going on the bikes along the Werribee River and hadn't pedalled too far before reaching this cache at 14:10. We were relieved that there were no mini muggles in the nearby playground. TFTC
2/12/12 3:03 PM Find #1619 It seems a bit odd when you get to a cache, park the car and then see you're not the only one here. At least I know what I'm here for but who knows why the others are just parked here and sitting in their cars. I like the old Scout buildings. The cache was found quite quickly with good co-ords. Thanks oldwinebottle.
Fun to find at night, good laugh haha.. Just a little creepy while its so dark lol.. Found with geo friend Jezka =) .. T4TC!
Well, third time lucky - no muggles around at lunchtime today and we soon had the cache in hand - can't work out how we did not get it on our other visits - perhaps the strong chilly wind woke us up today!! TFTC oldwinebottle and for the challenges we had in finding with your well concealed cache.
Found with spookyclams in what felt like a slightly dodgy area. Quick find and quicker replace. TFTC.
After visiting my daughter for the afternoon I grabbed a few local caches.

An interesing out of the way location. Thanks for the history of the Scout Group, H-P was a Group Leader at Eaglehawk until a year or so ago and back in the 1970's P-P was an Assistant Area Commissioner for Hoadly Area. No one around today so a quick find.
TNLN . . SL . . Thanks for the hunt oldwinebottle.

Found at second attempt - first try we got muggled out by teenagers loitering on the playground climbing frame. Quick and easy find eventually.

Not a scout to be seen today, nor anyone playing on the swings - perfect conditions for a quick find.
Thanks, Robmc.

# 724. Getting to the end of our caching run this afternoon. Everything was quiet when we arrived at this one and with accurate coordinates it was a quick find. Hard to release from its spot however. TNLN, thanks for the cache.
This was my second attempt at finding the cache. I went last night but the scouts were out and about and I couldn't do much searching without being suspicious. In the light of day, and with a new thought process, I found this one pretty quickly.
Great hiding spot, can't see how this one is likely to get muggled.

Well, sorry to say we had to cut our search off when we had only been a GZ for a short while due to muggles bringing their children to play at the playground!! - Bad timing - will try another day! TFT history of the area oldwinebottle
