Hi all
I've been hopeless in maintaining this cache (apologies for that). And I'm not likely to get to it any time soon, so I've decided to archive it. The cache will still be there for a while for anyone who is in the area. Thanks.

Number of dnfs in a row now and last find almost 5 months ago time for a CO check please.
Not quite sure where it could be. Came with a decent sized group still could find it. I think the magnet has finally given way!
Despite some very explicit instructions from a recent log, had a good look everywhere and couldn't find it today.
We were camped at the nearby caravan park at Lane Cove, doing the Great North Walk and this just happened to be enroute. Needed that little extra clue to find - "it is a small Eclipse magnetised container. Walk onto the jetty, take a left and then look under the walkway from the land."
Cache looks a bit tired and could do with a new magnet. Still hanging in there though!
In closing, we have walked half way to Newcastle from Sydney.
Thanks for the cache.

Set out on my bike for a day of caching around Woolwich - it was glorious sunshine when I iffy but the downpour and gets storm hit just as I arrived here !
I got soaked but found the cache then sheltered in the nearby bus stop for half an hour
Would have been an awesome view from here if the sky was clear

Thanks for the cache. The magnet does not exist on the cache currently and is in need of some help by a local cacher if the CO is not able to maintain the cache as the container is rusted through and needs a new writing implement. Otherwise I hope this cache is around for a lot longer than others expectations so those who's are waiting for a ferry can amuse them self. Thanks for the cache. PIPPAESP
Nice easy find, I had to hang about till the herd of muggle boarded there ferry. I am please to report that the cach is still there but as reported the magnet is not as strong as it could, but this doesn't seem to be problem when I left cach was tucked way secure ready for the next cacher.

I have not had a chance to check on this cache for some time. It seems as though it is still there, but the magnet might be on the way out. I will keep this cache up and running until someone tells me that the magnet is broken or there is a run of DNFs. I will then archive this one.
Great location, but left hide a little concerned for its securedness... Pencil needs a sharpen. Thanks.
As I approached GZ a couple followed close behind. Damn. Why would they be here in the middle of the day (a Friday no less)? I thought this was going to be hard, but fortunately that sat between the timetable, which was perfect for me as I spied the cache from one side, and grabbed it from the other. Nice kelp down below.
Found at 5:29pm. Timed this well, approaching GZ a murder of muggles swarmed off the ferry. I was quick to get in there and get searching. A couple of fishermuggles were busy handling their rods when I laid eyes on the cache. CO - I was unable to get a good grip back on the location after trying very hard to do so, replacing the magnets and perhaps the container might be a good idea. SL TFTC
We have been watching this geocache since January 2012 when we spent a long time searching but just couldn't find it. Today it took under a minute. How can that be?! Actually it was probably pushed back more when we first came and we were probably not diligent enough. All that said, we are very happy to change the listing on this one. The magnets are in excellent shape. It's just that they are attracting the rust filings from around them! SL TFTC Cheers... Gaztek
Found after an off-site day with work at the Boatshed nearby. Actually, it was my muggle boss who found it in the dark as we were waiting for the ferry - a convert! Quickly SL&R.
Pencil could do with a sharpen; log is in good nick but the cache magnet is rusted and cracked...on its last legs.
TFTC, s_mon!

Finally found it after a few times because i am a local kid around here so ive come a few times and i got it! its a good hide, tftc
This was very satisfying. There were plenty of muggles, but I carefully surveyed the scene and the GPS indicated a spot that looked highly likely and permitted a retrieve without any particularly outlandish behaviour. Incredibly, the very first place I felt for, there was the cache. I felt very smug! SL. TFTC.
26/05/13. 6:51 AM. Cache #635. Current streak: 259 days. First of 10 for the morning. This one needs an early start, to get here when there are no muggles about (although I guess I was lucky there weren't any fishing at that hour). Being alone, I could make the necessary limbo moves to get in place for a find. Great to get this out of the way as it is close to my work radar, if not by road. TFTC }:)
I was in the area to pick up a puzzle cache I’d been working on so I decided to also attempt a few nearby traditionals. I found #1 in this series whilst in the city yesterday and, in March, picked up #5.
I had a pretty good idea where this one was hidden, but due to the potential muggle factor at this location I checked the logs first which confirmed my hunch. Fortunately, GZ was deserted apart from one muggle who was waiting for a lift. Once she departed the coast was clear and I had CIH.
Thanks s_mon, great location.

CJ and I finally managed to find the time to get over across the water to find this one. There were muggles at the wharf fishing but completely oblivious to us looking for the cache. Made the find and had the cache quickly in hand. It is still there and in good condition. Thanks Smon. A nice hide. TFTC
AM and I found this at dusk. There were people around at the wharf, but they seemed to pay no heed to what we were doing. Great to tick this one off the nearby list. TFTC!
GZ was almost deserted except for a couple sitting on a bench and waiting for next ferry. We started to chat and amazingly we found out that our paths had crossed years ago in a little town in Italy where we both lived for some time and both were associated with a same institution.
Back to caching, we explained what we were doing and our new friend even tried to help to find the cache. However it was geowife who made a rather quick find based on previous logs.
Thanks s_mon, a great area for a cache!

Got it!!!!
Must have been those celebratory drinks last time that clouded my vision so I couldn't see it. Definitely looked in that direction, oh well, its a nice spot to revisit.
Cleaned the rust off the container, all good.

Based on the recent find, it seems that the cache is still there. Based on the number of DNFs, I have increased the difficulty rating.
Good luck.
Good luck.
It's still there, exactly where you said it would be. It's still in good shape, just a bit of rust but not bad. It's a very sneaky hide. SL TFTC
Went to Woolwich today for lunch with colleagues from a previous work life. I had left this one for such an occasion as we often go to the Pier Hotel, good food and a great view, but after reading the logs I did not expect any luck. I followed your directions and was able to have a really good look/feel around as the area was completely deserted. So I can report that the cache is definitely not there. Perhaps it has fallen in the water somehow.
So now you know and can replace it.

I will temporarily archive this one until I can get out there to check it. In the meantime, if anyone wants to try and find it for me, it is a small Eclipse magnetised container. Walk onto the jetty, take a left and then look under the walkway from the land. Let me know if any luck.
Had a look whilst waiting for the ferry to the film festival. I was quite early, so had a muggle free period to have a good scratch about - but couldn't see it.
Searched high and low.. with no luck. Our first DNF on a 2-star cache We'll be back soon.
Thanks for the challenging cache s_mon!

only had about 5min since we came on the ferry and skipped the stop to garden island. having coords that were off in an overcast day didn't help much either. will come back.
Not coming out from hiding for us today so off to the engagement party. Will come back when we have more time. Cheers... Gaztek
On an outing to Cockatoo Island with a few visitors and noticed this would be on the way. Although there were a few muggles about, it is quite easy to just sit quietly and see what comes to hand. Fortunately, luck was with me and the first place I sat was the right place. TFTC
It was a miserable evening so I thought of the Valencia St wharf where last time it was inundated with muggles. No one would be crazy enough to go fishing tonight. I was right. Only a crazy geocacher here tonight. But it took me ages - persistence paid off however. Someone wrote that they saw it from one angle and retrieved from another - this is what helped me. TFTC
GeoDaughter and GrandFather went out looking for this one today while in the area for a fish! Had previously read the logs on this one so gave them a hint on which end to look on. This was a quick grab while council workers were having a chat in there car. Just still wondering why there isn't more caches around this historical suburb. TFTC SL.
Reperio at 1655. This was the second GNW cache visited today, but unfortunately didn't walk the distance between the two. Parked at the ferry car park, and whilst there were a couple of muggles floating around, I was able to sit down next to the cache and retrieve it without them seeing me. I wouldn't imagine there would be many times during the day that this area is muggle free, so I was pretty fortunate.

A nice little drive to this out of the way area. Past a pub I remember visiting for a going away party, ahh....I was close. Parked in the 5 minute parking...What? I was only going to be 5 minutes! Well maybe 10 I started my search with a muggle couple walking around as well. Checked a few places back and forth, reread the desciption, logs and then the no hint!
Decided for PAF to make sure I was in the right place. Yup, remembers sea sickness, yup, definately somewhere over there in a roundabout sort of way. OK, so while we chatted about some other caches, I continued my searching. Sure enough, another check and that looks like it. Checked and BAM CIH!! SL and replaced without being seen. Thanx TC and thanx s_mon for the nice scenery and hide. A great sunny winters day to be around here. TFTC.

Hooray. At last, my caching nemesis is found. I've lost count of the number of times I've been down here, but with a little help from s_mon, the cache was soon found this time round (and in the dark too). TFTC
Another one that's been on my list for a while, sadly that's where it will stay as no luck for me today !!
I am going to blame seasickness for missing this one as it was in the second place I looked!?!
But I needed a PAF to actually find it!?!

I've been down here a few times to look for this one, but this time, I didn't have too much in the way of muggle interference. Didn't seem to help me - I just can't seem to find this one. I must be having total Cache Blindness.
Pretty quick find after waiting for the ferry to do the round trip to Cockatoo Island and back, the search was unimpeded thereafter and CIH within 10min. TFTC
No luck for us today. Although we had just walked ~13 kms so the effort was a little light on. Thanks anyway, it is certainly a nice spot regardless!
I hung around for about 3 periods of time inbetween the ferry pick-up / set-downs, when the muggles were less of a bother. GPS consistently put me in the middle of the foot-bridge, and after a decent investigation of the ferry platform and the shoreline I couldn't find anything =( I was certainly not in the mood to climb down and clamber over the rocks under the foot-bridge XD If anyone could provide some pointers for this one it would be much appreciated!!
Tried this one a few eeks ago but the place was full of muggles which made searching difficult. Was in the are today enjoying lunch nearby and decided to have another go at this before heading home.
Searched for a while but again the muggles were making life difficult. Did a PAF to get an idea which end I should be searching and then after a quick search grabbed it. Took GC.

Bummer here. Hopped off the ferry and could only search on half of the wharf due to several fishermen on one side...assuming it is on the wharf....The closest I could get was within 10' and that put me in the middle of the bridge....On the return from the other cache in the area I searched a bit more as the fishermen had left... still to no avail....Ah well. This is not the first time I have failed when most others were successful. Regards, tv
Found it...took some time to lay our hands on it...fishermen all had puzzled looks on their faces lol
A quick find before boarding the ferry on our way to Cockatoo Island. This would be a tricky one when the platform is full of muggles, but we were lucky and had the place to ourselves.

Luckily didnt have to wait too long before the ferry whisked the muggles away this afternoon. From then it took around 10mins of hunting but eventually I spied it, approached from a different angle and made the grab. Glad to knock off these 'high muggle' caches with some ease, they often turn into banes! Cheers!

Arrived at the wharf to find lots of people waiting. Checked the sign and there should have been a ferry 2 minutes before. There it is over at Cockatoo Island. So after waiting a few minutes for it to come over and collect the waiting horde it was off to search.
Now on most of the Sydney Ferries wharves you will see a diamond shaped antenna on top. I helped install a number of them though not this particular one, but I am reasonably familiar with the wharves and possible hiding spots. So it didn't take long to spot the thing, though it shouldn't be too hard anyway. Signed the log then back to the car. Thanks s_mon.

320 - Exhibited some super sneakiness on this one... While there was no ferry in sight a bloke was fishing nearby - I picked the moment when he stopped to rebait his hook and dived in for the cache, signed and at another strategic rebaiting back it went.... Lovely spot! TFTC
Finally I had a chance to get back to this one again and have another go. I don't how Ruffasgust4x4 and I missed this one last time, both of us checked this place at least twice. I could have sworn the last time I look I was checking for a Nano, perhaps that what screwed us. This time found it first time I rechecked that area (not the first spot I went to though). If you are doing this one it pays to check the ferry timetable if you want to have an undisturbed hunt.

I don't know how we missed this one the other night, we were definately looking at the right spots, just an extra special camo job I guess, Nice work Thanks for bringing me here
Nothing quite like swooping in and picking up the scraps
Went down this morning and started a little search until the ferry turned up. With ferry gone, search almost restarted until another Geocaching Team in the name of Abel Squad asked me if I was a Geocacher. So we joined up and started looking and the better looking of the Abel Squad pair (sorry mate) came up trumps.
Nice one. TFTC

Saw this one pop up last night and figured we'd hit it once we woke up, knowing the FTF would probably have already been claimed. However, at 10am saw there were two DNF's and the prize was still on offer. Being located just across the river, we rocked up to the GZ fairly casually, but were inundated by muggles waiting for a ride into town. After a five minute rest in the geomobile, we noticed once the ferry had pulled up, there was a suspicious gentleman looking in the right spots, and knew immediately we had some company. So after our introduction, we were quite in awe to be in the presence of georoyalty (Geomatica). After our intial search before the muggle arrivals, we went back to our propsed area and found it quite quickly, and came up trumps and were glad to have come up with a joint FTF with the man himself! GPS was off, but also, the presence of cameras may cause some future problems for the cache. All together a great hunt and a pleasure to meet Geomatica. TFTC
We spent longer at GZ on this one than the other three in the series put together but still could not locate it, we virtually had the place tro ourselves but night time did not help... that's a FTF that just went begging oh well you can't get them all. GZ was in the middle of the boardwalk for us as it is on Google, guess we should've read the description more before we left
What can I say? We had the place to ourselves and spent a fair bit of time on this one. In a rush I didn't fully read the description, I knew what we were after but not where and now having reread the description I've a better idea of where to hunt. Reluctantly we let the FTF slip from our hands, but I guess we had to leave at least one for the early morning Cacher. I had GZ exactly were Google Earth had it as well.
