Out for a nice family walk today with a few families. Introduced some of the kids to hunting for caches. TFTC
Out for a long hike around Andy, and trying to find a few geocaches along the way.Ive been by here a number of times over the past few months, and looked for this container pretty much every time. Today I decided to replace the likely missing container. You are looking for a soft black sunglass container, and inside is some orange survey tape. A permanent marker or a sharpie will work best, though pens also work. Ive loaded a photo which should help you find it.If the owner is not keen on the replacement, I will delete my find.
Was in the area, so stopped by again. Looked at some of the same spots and looked at some new spots. But the result was the same. Found nothing.
No luck for us tonight! We had a good poke around for 15 minutes with no success. We'll have another look at a later date to see if we're more successful.
Out with Weredunn4 finding dem caches.
Nice hide, great location.

No luck for us today on this one, a case of cache blindness, the satelitte gods sending us askew or perhaps we need more practice untik till next visit TFTC
Fire has long been gone. But easy enough to spot. Container is damaged at one end and paper is not writable.
Today, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I finished up work for the year, so we decided to take our mountain bikes to Anstey Hill Recreation Park for a ride. Strangely enough, we had lost power at home too, which also nudged us towards the outdoors. We concentrated on the western side of the park, riding a few trails and past the ruins of Newmans Nursery (which were interesting), and largely following Newmans Track loop. A nice sunny afternoon and good fitness session.
Whilst riding the trail nearby, we made a stop, and I descended the slope to GZ, where I made the quick find. The cache container was in good shape, although it was wet inside. The logbook seemed ok, but wasn't a proper logbook, so that may need a replacement soon. Thanks matt&jo-starr for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.
Note that this geocache was logged with the *Team Warren* Davidwazza/jesswrigley stamp.

A nice day for the 1st day of Spring saw me up in the Picturesque ADL Hills to snaffle some solved Puzzles and grab the odd Trad and Multi as well [^]
This one took me about 15 minutes to find with all the sour sob weeds amongst the burnt and charred remains of bushes and trees that 'did' burn
Once the GPS finally settled in this area, i made my way back to the spot i originally checked to no avail... all but that one small spot i overlooked, there the cache was [:o)] of course it was ha ha.
It was in the open but sort of hidden as well in the Sour Sob weeds.
Added my own piece of hardy paper to the cache coz the existing log had the consistency of dried out paper mache lol. I left the old log but added my own so other Cachers can also SL upon discovery [^]
SL at 11:00 on the 1st day of Spring 2020 [^]

I note that this cache is ten years old; yet another fire has gone through recently and still the cache prevails!
I thought the text next to the nearby (up the hill a little) kurrajong tree was interesting, and having survived Ash Wednesday, it’s another non burning bush.

Out for an afternoon walk thought I would see what caches I hadn't found in Ansteys, nice quick find. This section of Ansteys had a burn off recently and the hiding spot is still unburnt! TFTC
found it with goat girl44 and Geo kids while in lock down and on a walk through the Bush
Found in the soursobs. Have placed it where we think it should be according to the cache details. Tftc.
Today's plan was to go out and finish off my D/T grid. Since I had 4 bob puzzles solved within the area and 2 of them would make this mission successful I decided I would make a nice and lengthy walk out of the and collect some other caches along the way.

Today was another day full of caching and being social with a few events up around Anstey Hill, and with a potential FTF on offer Laighside Legands and myself headed off early in search of it. Arriving at gz, there was no one in sight and the cache was soon spotted and in hand not long later and our luck was with us as an empty log book was extracted. With the log signed and some time still to kill before the first event started we decided to head of for a few nearby finds, which proved no problem at all. After enjoying some delicious pie at the first event Laighside and myself set off to start caching in Anstey hill, specifically looking at a few of the puzzle finals that we had there. It was a great day for caching, the sun was out and shining and there were plenty of caches to be found. After a few hours it was finally time to head down the hill to the next event, and thankfully there was a cache nearby too. It was this cache that Mr Tardis happened to find in the first place he looked, that place happened to be my hands as I had found it a few seconds before he arrived. After more socialising we headed on our way again to keep finding caches, though as the day wore on the steep slopes of some of the tracks started to take its toll and my legs started to tire. I pushed on however, as the hours passed it was time to finally head back across Adelaide for the final event for the evening. By this time of the evening I was rather hungry and in need of a beer, which was quickly ordered. It was a relaxed end to what was a very enjoyable caching weekend and a good time was had by all.

Easy to find on our first Geocaching walk through this lovely ark. So much history
A pleasant day caching meeting up with others in the field as we passed on the tracks.
Thank you matt&jo-starr for placing this cache.

After a lovely time wandering around this area, a quick find here on the way back to the car. Some subtle pointing from a previous finder also helped. TFTC mat&jo-starr!
Quick find on the way to the geocaching event.
Took longer to get the log out. Signed & replaced, now off to eat lunch.

A day in Anstey hill and surrounds with a Rat, Owl and Starfish. An easy find however the though of returning up that hill was daunting. cache was found sitting on the ground so replaced it a little higher up where a previous finder had indicated it should have been. TFTC and the walk.
Owl was out with Blackadders, SA Sewer Rats and Brisal5 for a day of BFEing, SFEing and caching in general. But if you are collecting BFEs, then you have to get the other ones in the same area, even if your legs want to kill you afterwards! Fortunately Owl was able to deploy her geotool ( a Snake) to get the cache.
Seven years after a DNF here,
I was back
This time on pushbike !!
A fun ride up the Lower North East Road got me to the start of Newmans Trail.
From there it was all downhill to reach GZ
And a cache was found in the first place I looked [^]

Today is a very special day for S.A. Sewer Rats. So today I promised to pick her up and take her to some of the BFE puzzles she has solved but nobody was willing to take her to. Hevwalker was off also and I picked her up from her abode as I had also promised her a long day of caching. But first up we attended at Banana Benders Hookup for breakfast where we me met up with RoddyC. We collected SA Sewer Rats and headed to the hills where we joined by RoddyC
It is very much green among the green six years later. A scramble up the smippery slope and the cache was easily spotted. But it needed a new log book. So RoddyC obliged. Thanks matt&jo-starr

I was picked up this morning for a day of caching with Brisal5 and Hevwalker.
I have had this worked out for so long'
What does one do for their birthday, they caching and BFE hunting.
We arranged to up with RoddyC at the appropriate parking spot.
Stopped on our way back for doing a few other caches in the park.
The log was a wet pulpy mess.
Replaced the log and stamped our names.
Then replaced the hide.

After our Event in town, we headed into the hills with Brisal5, SA Sewer Rats, and Hevwalker. As the afternoon grew on, it became quite warm on the track, especially in the uphill parts
This was one we passed on the way down, but we didn't repeat that mistake on the way back up. Quick find, but it needed a new log book.
Log signed and cache replaced. Found at 2.10pm on 25th November 2016. TFTC.

Wandering back up the track from the gully with brisal5, SA Sewer Rats & RoddyC...this was a quick stop & grab...kind of...TFTC matt&jo-starr
Perfect walk, a mob of kangaroos and 2 koalas plus bagged a cache, log soaked though so just took a picture.
Nice hike up the hill. Log is saturated but managed to put my mark on it. TFTC
Went for a lovely 6km walk in Ansteys Hill area - walked up the Water Gully track, then up to the Ridge Top Walk, with lovely views over the city as the sun set. Saw heaps of Kangaroos, a cuddly Koala in a tree near the ruins and a barn owl trying to catch mice.
Found after a bit of a hunt around - signed log

Veni. Vidi. Vici. Scripsi. Working at home today and needed a cache or two to fill the calendar. Had to duck to the hardware shop and on the way home detoured to make a quick find after a 600m hike to reach GZ. Log damp but signable. Lovely location. No fitness fanatics. Gratis pro cache.
Off on a walk with Sebastbat and Chloe the geopup,
passed many crazy fitness nuts, a couple of walkers,
and only three small eastern brown snakes.
Nice weather for hills caches
Nup this bush didn't burn cache a bit damp but intact.

The new logsheet is already wet, really needs some tlc or a better cache container

We walked by this cache today and to our surprise we still haven't made a find on it even though we have been this way often enough in the past. The container was located easily but as previous finders have already pointed out, the contents are unusable. We left a small slip of paper (our replacement logs are too large for the cache) and a pencil for the next few finders to sign with, and also cleared the contents (just mouldy pulp inside). We are not sure that container was found in the right location, either, so unfortunately this cache needs owner intervention to get it back to top condition again. TNLNSL TFTC
It was a beautiful day and I thought it was about time I had a wander around Anstey Hill Rec Park. I quickly wandered up to this one after finding Newmans... This cache container needs some love I think. This contents were slightly wet, I didn't have anything with me to replace. TFTC.
I had a couple of hours to spare this morning so headed up the hill for a small geo-tour. Quick find. Thanks for the cache.

Felt adventurous, went for a night cache on a full moon. Could not sign the log, as it was water logged. Still managed to find a koala in the dark ;c) TFTC!!
Found on a walk with the kids. Lots of complaining about sore legs, but they found this cache easily enough. Looks like this cache could do with some waterproofing. TFTC!
Made a quick find while on a hike with the Greenwith and Hillcrest Joey Mobs. Have put a new piece of paper for logging in the cache as the log and other piece of paper in there were waterlogged.
Passed this on the way out from the World CITO Event so stopped and put our name in the log.
Found with the help of the CO who turned up as I waited for the GPS to settle. TFTC
Nice easy find with tree_trunks. Such a nice Good Friday day to go for a walk.
Went in the hills a month ago to knock over a few more and was going back over the map and saw I never loved this. Was a great walk with the days on this day a lot of wildlife. Tftc
We searched first a similar tree and then found the right one after backtracking! Thanks to previous geocachers there was room to write on new paper, but it was damp. The container I think needs repair/ replacing as it is no longer water tight.
Thanks for the adventure!
Thanks for the adventure!
Quick find on my way around Anstey Hill Park. Log in poor condition added an extra sheet of paper.
If the day was any hotter, I think it would have been burning! I wish I'd bought a fresh scroll of paper with me.
Clear skies to matt&jo-starr from TeamAstro.

A unique tree indeed and an easy cache to start the day. The cache is still in tatters though.
Was in the area and decided to see if this cache was still around, It sure was but not where I think it lives. and the log if beyond repair..
Thanks for the cache Matt&jo-starr
This one will need some love

Found this cache on a lovely morning walk through Ansteys hill.
All up we walked about 10 kms today and although we were buggered by the end, it was an enjoyable day
This cache was soaked and the log was non writable so desperately needs some attention
Thanks matt&jo-starr

Great hide but it needs maintenance; inside is all wet and some paper is mushed down the bottom.
