As this cache has been out of action for too long, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

I noticed that this cache has been in need of owner attention for a period of time well in excess of the period of "a few weeks" as contemplated by the cache guidelines published on Geocaching.com. While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for you and block other caches from entering the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time, we can't do so forever. Please either repair/replace this cache, or archive it (using the archive listing link in the upper right) so that someone else can place a cache in the area, and geocachers can once again enjoy visiting this location.
If you plan on repairing this cache, please log a note to the cache (not email) within the next 30 days so I don't archive the listing for non-communication.

Thought we'd try find some caches in the area as we hardly ever come out this way. This was probably our most unsuccessful day caching since we began! We looked around and around, but I think we must've forgotten our geocaching glasses today because we just couldn't find it.
Gps had me standing in the middle of the car park not knowing what direction to go [?]
Spent ages walking around trying to find it... I swear we are missing something ugh
Today hoped to find enough caches to reach 3300 finds. Falling short of goal today as we were beaten by the rain, dark and the number of repairs we have done.
5.55pm - A couple of dodgy looking shellfish collectors at location, had to move when they eren't looking. Found container out in open with no log sheet, replaced with new sheet and placed back. SLTFTC

Gap (of Fap and Gap) and I are a long way from home... We are pushing into Franklin District today and looking for caches to put towards some Geocaching Challenges... We also hope to reach some personal milestones too...
The day turned out to be more of a rescue mission. So many caches we visited required maintenance or total replacement. The state of some caches and the frequency in which maintenance was carried out by us was quite alarming. Luckily, we came prepared.
We had to wait for several muggles to leave. One couple decided to hang around their car and make our search difficult. We narrowed down ground zone and Gap grabbed the cache while the guarded couple had their backs turned. The cache was minus a log, so we replaced it. TFTC.

First find here after a couple of DNF's today, hopefully our luck is turning! TFTC.
Yay! Here with FoxMel, first of hopefully several caches today. Thanks! A lovely misty morning.
No one here today, must be because the weather isn't that great. Nice hide, if you weren't looking for something I don't think you would see this cache.
Had to be quick as a muggle with dog approached, she wasn't interested in us though, thanks
Cool Cache - neat hide
We decided to visit this area whilst on a the month holiday in NZ an we are so pleased that we did as we adored the area
Many thanks for the cache. We have signed the log as HJJ & BDI's Sir & Lady Harveyjj & B.D.I.s and dipped our trackables

Found today with Sir & Lady Harveyjj.
Please forgive the generic log as I'm logging as & when I have access to wifi so details of individual caches have become hazy, however that does in no way detract from the time and effort you as CO have put into your hide - that's very much appreciated.
We're in New Zealand on an extended holiday and have loved every minute of it.
We're very grateful to you for placing caches which have led us to some of the most beautiful places on the planet.
The logs have been signed either in our individual caching names or as T2 (being Sir & Lady Harveyjj plus B.D.I's)
Cache returned safely from whence it was found.
Thank you and greetings from the UK

The tide was out and there were very few people about to worry us while searching. Found quickly and as a special bonus we came upon a seal in the rocks nearby. It's been a good 20 years since we last visited this beach. TFTC

Few muggles around who were too preoccupied by the beach to pay attention to what we were doing. Quick find made by my 7 year old brother. TFTC
Tänään nähtiin monta kaunista paikkaa ja kivoja kätköjä. TFTC Greetings from Finland.
Today we saw many wonderful places and we also found many good cache.
Nice beach.

Chocochunk was stumped as GZ looked to be in the middle of nowhere -- while I headed to where I though ti might be and grabbed it.
When is a hint not a hint? But looking in one of the obvious places turned up trumps. TFTC.
Enjoyed a quiet evening on the beach. Kids only found bottle tops with the metal detector but gz was easier
New Zealand 2103 trip for the Auckland Mega at Albany. Day 3. I had to visit here twice as the first time it was quite busy. A little odd given how quiet places around the point where. On my second visit I had the park to myself and put my hand straight on the cache. Thanks.

Don't you just hate it when you know that you are being watched through the trees. Cool spot tho.
Easy found, Area was nice n quite today, Log book is almost full and distroid, TFTC.
Mrs ToT found this in short order while Mr ToT was sidetracked by the building close by. TRTC!!!
Clever hide as is quite visible once you know it's there. May need a new log as the existing one is in pieces. Beautiful day out at Clarkes Beach. TFTC.
The GPS coordinates seemed to be off but after inspecting the last logical place in the area I easily had the cache found. Thanks!
Found orginally as part of phasevisitor team, now created own account, re-logging as yorkshirekiwi83.
We were down this way to spend the evening at Spookers and decided to come down a couple of hours early to pick up the caches around Clarks Beach first. The container was lying on the ground when we arrived, so after signing the log we replaced where we thought it should be - so hopefully its OK! Thanks for the cache!

Nice quick find here amongst the campers ignoring the no camping signs. Nice hide. Cheers for the smiley!
A nice and easy find on our tour to Clarks Beach.

secure hide still. Had to wait for the woman mowing the grass to look out to sea..... saw a tiny person at the edge of the water...low tide, must have been over a km out.
4.00pm. Felt a bit overlooked but nobody caused concern. A bit of a bleak day to be out and about. No difficulty with this one.

Found the cache cleverly hidden. This cache is in a beach access and carpark called Halls Access (to Clark Beach.)
This beach access is named after my great grandfather Harry Hall. He leased a beach front section when they first became available in 1925. It was a holiday home until he retired and sold his farm (in Halls Road, Te Kauwhata) and moved here. My mum is now retired here.

gps lead me straight to this one after the dog from the beach stopped barking at me
Have come to Clarks Beach for a bit of caching in a different area today. Very quiet around here today, with the blustery wind and full tide. Quick find. SL. TFTC.
A digestive walk on the beach. Nobody, sunny, few caches : it' great no ? Well, the only thing : holidays come to an end ! Bye, bye New Zeland and see you soon ! Thank you for the cache / Merci pour la cache. Greetings from France !
Went for a refresher with our doggies. No mugglers with this weather. Our dogs loved it, they met some new doggie friends . Cache was in a nice spot. In the open...but not so obvious too
Awesome afternoon to be down at the beach. Quick sneaky grab while no one was looking. TFTC
Took a bit longer to find than it should have...great cache, lots of muggles around. TFTC
Another nice spot found on my walk from the camping ground. Some muggles were picnicing along a bit but I was just out of sight enough to make the easy find. Thanks very much Kiwifamily
No sea views as the tide was sooooooooo far out there was no sea! Enjoying the location and the caches....thanks.
Perfect place for a park, grab a cache spotted with my eagle eye and then I headed east along the beach to grab a few more caches.
Many swimmers here today as well as a resident from a house above hanging out clothes. Was very quick retrieving / replacing cache and im sure no one saw me!!
Thanks for cache and an awesome Manukau Hbr view!

An interesting view of AK's skytower which must be quite some distance away. A lovely little beach.

Just been to have a look to see if cache is still there and sorry it's gone.
I will replace this within the next couple of days. Possibly move somewhat as well in order to hopefully not have it muggled in the future.

Very frustrating this one, been back 3 times and have spent more then an hour and a half in total looking in various locations. Its hard to know if its gone or is simply very hard to find! Can someone confirm its still there and then we'll try again?
TOO MANY MUGGLES HAD PICNIC IN SPOT WAITING FOR THEM ALL TO LEAVE UNFORTUNATELY WE HAD TO LEAVE BEFORE THEM TO FIND SOME OTHER CACHES.
Almost missed this one until I decided to go back and check again, more carefully. No trackables.
For some reason this took an age to find. I knew where it had to be and yes the coords are good but could I put my hand on it? Relieved to get it in the end. TFTC, Biggles.
First visit for me to Clarks beach area that I can remember. Another nice spot. Cheers
