It would seem that this cache has certainly washed away.
I hope the HAVOC campers did enjoy the stroll in the wilderness.

Just adding mine to the list of DNFs in the group. A nice spot to visit even without the cache.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Add us to the list of DNF's.
A great area - we look forward to returning when (if) the cache is replaced.

I think mat and shell were trying to say this cache was done en masse, meaning a group effort. The Don discovered it was missing. We were all disappointed, especially as it was a Darth Trader cache. The area is probably beautiful when water is flowing through it, not this time.
We couldn't find it either. We approached the falls from the top and found The Don and his crowd (previous finders) declaring that it had vanished. We looked down stream in case it had been washed out of its hiding spot, but maybe it has been really muggled by someone curious.
Thanks anyway darth trader and Afinidus for showing us this spot.
ps: I don't think a terrain of 4.5 is correct on this one - unless there is a torrent of water flowing over the falls.

Surprise Suprise, we didn't find it. A great hunt though with a big group of Havoc cachers. Shell (and Molly) and Mrs Burners were given some inside information, so we arrived at GZ before the masses - then the masses arrived on the next level up. We had a good look around, but were informed by a reliable source that the cache was goooooonnnnneeee. What a shame. Thanks anyway Darth, we had fun despite the empty hands.
Followed a conga line of geocachers down to the waterfall, to no avail. You should have seen all of the disappointed faces! (Hey Big Matt, we're not all odd - some of us are just a little special!!!) Nice little walk anyway. TFTC

We had a crack at this one with about 30 odd people. Shell got down to the GZ and had a bit of a search until one of the previous finders confirmed that it was missing.
Nice spot though with a fair few leaches!
Thanks anyway darth trader.

This was about the 3rd on our list of 5 for the day we wanted to find, when we came to this one, with no map of the watagans and basically just driving by a compass on the GPS in th dash of the 4WD we came to the camping area, We set out on foot (only half of our crew were here this day , 2 geokids and myself) we wernt real prepared and hadn't realy read or understood the instuctions realy well. anyway we set out with a hand held GPS and a Galaxy phone and headed off along the creek. with vertually no GPS signal. This particular day was very overcast and had been raining on and off and we had had alot of rain over the last few moths in the Hunter (in fact the whole eastern half of Australia). we came to the top of a rather large waterfall and wern't sure if this was the first or second water fall from the description. as theirs was also two other waterfallish type areas we had seen but were small in comparrison to where we were (so my question was what constitutes a water fall???) Anyhow, we were at the best i could get on the GPS a elevation of 447m.. the cache is at 407m their for i had to climb down a 40m waterfall???. we already were covered in leaches and with the water flowing and everything being slippery and very wet and the jungle being sooo dense from all the good rain over the last few months and expecting to see a dinosaure wander out any minute... (not to mention the lantana), i made an executive decision to abandone this one till another day when i was a bit better prepared. (the geokids were more than happy to leave this one for now as they wernt very impressesd with how frendly the leaches were)... We will be back..
Found this on a day out caching with TheWobblys.
This was quiet an adventure and very enjoyable.
We parked at the WP provided and checked out darth traders lovely little campsite. I must say I love what you have done with the place.
We passed the first waterfall which only had a slight trickle running over it today.
Then we followed the nice little creek down to the next falls. We followed darth traders instructions and went down the right side.
King Wobbly scouted out the cache and told us we could all make it down. We took our time and slowly made our way down to the falls.
There is not a lot of room once we got down there considering there was six of us. Five year old Mini Cash Man made it down to the falls without any difficulty. If you use common sense and take your time kids can easily get down to the falls.
While at GZ we did the logging and took in the sights which has another waterfall below but we did not go down there. After being at GZ for half and hour and taking photos I was careful to make sure the kids didn't get to close to the edge and slip. After returning the cache and all the crew started to make their way back to the top I was the one that slipped and landed in a pool of ice cold water. The only saving grace was that the hike back to the car was a short one.
As we got back near the car we took the opportunity to check out the other waterfall mentioned and took photographs. We then got back to the car and I noticed that I had picked up a hitchhiker on my shoe and showed the kids. A quick inspection revealed a quite a few leeches on the kids and I. The salt was used and all the leeches removed.
However at this time we discovered one of the kids has a phobia about leeches and all hell broke loose. Ironically it was the one with no leeches that reacted the worst.
This put a damper on proceedings and all play was stopped for the day.
This was another good cache by darth trader. I hope plenty can get out and enjoy the area. Thanks mate

Headed up into the Watagans today with The Cash-Man and the Geo-Kids to do a bit of caching.
Did Freeze Frame first before we moved onto this cache
Parked at the camp site and headed for ground zero
Had to make a few little detours, but ended up finding GZ without too much of a problem
Had to be careful with Geo-Kids not to drop off the edge
Signed the log, took photos, returned the cache to its hide and just as we left GZ the Cash-Man decided to step in ankle deep water (i think it was icy cold)
Made our way back to the car and thats when all hell broke loose for the Wobbly kids
LEECHES, LEECHES, LEECHES, LEECHES.
thanks for the Adventure.
