Out and about again, a wet morning in Albany, headed out to complete the power trail. Found all but 3. Then got some other nearby hides.

Found a variety of hides and in different areas which made for a nice day. Generally quick finds today.

Thanks to all the CO’s for the hides I found.

We've decided our GPS is a Libran - very indecisive! '6 metres right... No.. 3 metres forward... No hang on, 12 metres back where you came from...um... Just look yourself human!' After zigzagging all around, Geoman wisely asked "Is there a hint?". Once that was read, we made a quick find! Cool little spot! TFTH!

15-Apr-16
Tried to find late in the afternoon and had no luck. Had a number of children with us who were very disappointed. Hope to try again another day.

I found this delightful spot on me way from somewhere I did not know existed, to somewhere I had no intention of going to !! Red Face

Isn't geocaching fun ? Big Grin

And down in the gorge I parked the geomobile and went for a stroll.
Where I found this cache snuggled in its nest Smile

I didn't want to hang around too long as heavy showers and storms were rolling across the land today.
And where the geomobile was parked didn't look like it would be safe if the river came down off the hills [:o]

TFTC !!

14-Nov-15
This is the first the Kalgan caches we have found! Interesting to see how far it goes! We couldn't believe this hasn't been hit since just under a year ago! Cache was found easily and still in good condition! TFTC and the series!

29-Nov-14
Interesting trees and where they can grow out off and thrive. Very Happy

22-Nov-14
Been meaning to do this cache for a long time and had contemplated putting one here long ago, as we used to cross this creek frequently even before there was a bridge Smile
Always loved this quiet little spot amongst all the farms. Took a few minutes to locate the cache, but all was good and log signed before too long.
TFTC Albany Nomads!

Our second in the Kalgan series today. A spectacular drive to get to this site. The fields are green, the canola is blooming, lambs are bouncing around the paddocks and the ranges are majestic in their beauty. A really lovely part of Western Australia. TFTC

09-Aug-14
Another great spot. Found the cache before allinaday could get the gps sorted. In good condition, although slightly damp. TFTC

19-Apr-14
Traveled down to Albany and the Stirling ranges area with a mate at Easter, did this cache as part of a whole heap. Great way to see the fantastic areas on show. Good to see some really interesting areas hidden away.

Unfortunately couldn't locate this one despite maximum effort.

Thanks

19-Apr-14
Headed south for a relaxing road trip with the Western Patrol Club and a mate. We stayed at Cheynes Beach before heading across to West Cape Howe and then into the Stirling Ranges for our last few nights. Beautiful coast line, awesome hills, great fishing, and some good 4wding. Gotta love this state of ours.
Couldn't find this one, even with three of us looking.

29-Jan-14
I live on the Kalgan at Upper Kalgan and it was nice to see this part of our beautiful river. TFTC.

21-Oct-13
Given some of the earlier logs, we expected quite a challenge, and didn't have our hopes too high on finding the cache, but Lady Canuck made the find in less than 5 minutes. Loved the trees growing in the rocks in this area. The river is beautiful too, very picturesque to watch it flowing by here. We would never have ventured out this way if it hadn't been geocaching, so thanks for bringing us here!

17-Oct-13
cool

04-Mar-13
Found it after going the long way about it.
Nice drive but.

10-Feb-13
A lot harder to find than we expected Smile

23-Dec-12
I might have had a bad caching day, but it seems difficult to find for a 1.5 rated cache. So no luck for me Sad

02-Sep-12
It took 4 time with help on our last trip but we got it.

25-Aug-12
The second one for the day. Love this Kalgan series. Never been here before. Nice and peaceful spot. Only took about 5 minutes to find this one. Found by geo-wife. Great hide. TFTC

28-Jul-12
We set our for an afternoon drive and decided to follow the caches along the Kalgan. Didn't have my hopes up too high and when we arrived at GZ we enjoyed the flow of the river and the surrounding area. I looked at my watch and thought, because of the many DNF's let's not spend too much time here. 5 min later - Eureka - we found the elusive cache.
I can report that the cache is in good condition. TFTC and yes it was a great drive out there.

19-May-12
A pretty little spot but unable to locate any cache. Checked all the possible spots matching the clue but they were empty.

06-May-12
Three of us spent 30 mins looking for it. Either it's REALLY well hidden (more than the posted 1.5 stars), or it has been disturbed. Sad

06-May-12
We all looked for ages and didn't find it.

11-Mar-12
Spent 20 min looking but no luck.
will have to have a go later.

01-Dec-11
Didn't find this one. We only had ten minutes search time allocated as we were heading north and Brookton was our goal for camping tonight. Might have been easier if we understood the clue.

07-Oct-11
It took me a very long time to locate this one. The top camouflage cover on top of the cache, hid the cache very well. TFTC

04-Jun-11
Found at 10:58.

Took a break from the Albany 100 to come over and do this cache. Took a little while to find the cache as the GPS was out a bit and the hint wasn't something I knew. Was quite pleasant and it was the first time I had been to this part of the Kalgan.

04-Jun-11
Tftc. Lovely spot found again by geobuddy.

31-May-11
Visited the site yesterday but had a little difficulty finding the blighter. Disturbed probably one of the biggest roo's I have ever seen while walking up to the tree. Had a quick look and as time was getting on got back on the road to continue a few more of the neighboring Albany 100 series. Made it the first stop in on my way back to the series this morning and after reading where I was supposed to be looking made a quick find. Checked out the crossing and the water looked nice. Will have to do the remaining one in this series now.

Found this whilst doing the Albany 100. Cool In Albany for the 10th Anniversary Birthday Bash. TFTC There was no TB in cache. Magnificent spot for lunch during the 100. The only really scenic spot during the day. No TB in this cache.

Reperio at 1320. Took in a little detour to grab this one while doing the Albany 100 run as we were reasonably close to it. Got to GZ, searched around for a couple of minutes, and made the find just as a couple of trucks came by. Was surprised to see a few cars out this way as well.

Gratias.

05-Dec-10
Found on my second attempt. I don't know why we couldn't find it the first time.

23-Oct-10
Out for a busy caching day with Geo Smurfs, having conquered some challenging ones, this one was nice and easy. TFTC

23-Oct-10
Another nice easy one out the back. TFTH TNLN

03-Oct-10
We went out on a late afternoon Sunday drive to do this cache. Judging by the height of the debris washed up in the nearby trees, the cache may be at risk if we ever have another real Albany winter?
Thanks Nomads

12-Sep-10
Beautiful spot, cache hidden very well, thanks for the adventure.
Mum had us up and down the crossing Ha Ha Ha

10-Sep-10
Having had no luck at Porongrup Peril, it was nice to have an easy find here. Was more by accident that we scored this one, as it wasnt on my list. I recognised the crossing from a previous look online and the co-ords were still in the GPS. TN. Left ABC bangle. TFTC

29-Aug-10
Found previously as one of the “Rainbow Coasters”.

29-Aug-10
After a fantastic walk around Mt Martin on the previous day, the Coasters headed out along the Kalgan trail to follow to complete the series. There are some magic places out in the farmlands that stay hidden until you have a reason to go exploring and this crossing is one of them. GZ was a few metres out, so if you don’t know the hint, keep looking and you will find it.

Highly recommended for a day out chasing the Kalgan and taking in some fantastic farmland views and different perspectives of the Porongurup and the Stirling Ranges. Just happened to catch up with the “Nomads” late in the day, great to be able to say thanks for this very enjoyable KALGAN series.

07-Aug-10
We went for a drive to check on cache ..and its still there..the co-ordinates were within.002 seconds which is only a few paces .
Cache is within 1 meter of base of a SIMILAR Porongrups National Park tourist attraction....Kind regards Albany Nomads

24-Jul-10
we spent about 50 minutes looking, think we checked every rock and hard place there was, gave up in the end. DOH. nice little river crossing anyway. thanks for taking us there, just would have enjoyed a find as well, maybe next time

18-Jul-10
I smell a muggling. The clue took us to the obvious spot, but despite a half hour search by two of us there was no cache found. We did find a small slightly scattered pile of rocks and sticks. The owner may need to have a look

11-Jul-10
Just the thing for a lazy Sunday afternoon. A drive through the gorgeous countryside. This turned out to be a busy crossing point with 3 cars going past whilst we were there!!!! Found after a short search. Nice spot. Onto number 3.

20-Jun-10
Couldn't believe this cache had been out for a week and the first page was blank!!! Great to have a FTF after so many months of being pipped to the post. A family was enjoying a picnic lunch by the rive, however, some handy shrubs hid the cache from view. A great spot for the dogs to stretch their legs. TFTC
