Don't know why I couldn't find this one, the clues were pretty specific and there is obviously only a limited amount of space to hide out here. I will be back.
Found today while out finding some Te Atatu caches that have been on the to do list too long. Neeeds new log did not have any waterproof paper so used plain paper and plastic bag, perhaps next finder could bring a waterproof log. Looks like a popular fixhing spot. Geodog had a swim to clean off mud from previous cache.
Another on for mig,,,, And were racing the incoming tide. The guard crabs need more training
At last-think it is third attempt-had given up once again & was reluctantly leaving when something caught my eye-def a fav point-always a great place to visit-tftc
What a cunning hide. Well spotted by Mrs Bernica, I doubt I would have looked there. TFTC.
The tide was out which allowed us to venture where the cache was, however we didn't find it but will be back after reading the clues properly. The boys had fun exploring the rocks Thank you for bringing us here
Catching up on long overdue logging.
Dad enjoys walks and coming caching with me, often finding them. So for Farthers Day we set out for a walk around part of Te Atatu peninsula. We had taken 2 cars and left one at far end so that we could make our walk longer.
Although I had walked around here before, Dad hadn't, and there were a few caches along the way that wither hadn't been here or had been disabled on my previous visits.
After a bit of a search it was Mum who came up trumps. Even so, she only pulled on what she thought was a bit of rubbish, until I said "Well done". TFTC

An interesting location for the cache. Tide was out luckily so decided to go for this one. Thanks
I was so glad it was low tide when I went looking for this one while on my morning walk. It was lying out in the open right where it was suppose to be. I left it slightly less obvious but still in the same place.
Yaay found it this time nice camo log very wet and full allthough most logs have faded away thru being wet tide in today but managed to keep feet dry tftc
Full tide. Wet feet. Finally found it. Damp to the point of being soggy. Although not long to find, the tide had moved quickly and I had a dry path back. TFTC.
My first visit was at night a few nights ago, and I spent 30mins trying in vain to find it! Today I found it, it was spot on with the co-ordinates, well done.
Hmmmm . Not a good day hunting ... will try again though once owner says its back.
Found originally as part of rebel98 team, now created own account, re-logging as rustynz
See rebel98 log. Low tide, and got visit areas not visited before. It took a little while, hey it has been made by a master! Thanks again for the hide.

Picked one of the sunniest days to do this, it was so hot walking up to GZ. But the view is fabulous! Earlier today on checking the tides, I knew today was the day for finding treasure in the mangroves. Picked up niece who is still on holiday before returning to school, to share in the adventure. Got a bit side tracked by the clue and previous finders comments. After awhile, I let the GPS settle and ignored the colour of the rocks, and found what I was looking for: yeah! clever camo and hide. Thank you for bringing us here, and the adventure
Last find of the day just as the tide was coming in. Lovely little walk out into the water though the hint threw us off as the rock has lichen not seaweed on it. Log completely sodden so we dried it off but the writing is indecipherable. TFTC
Log wet but well intact. Lucky its a waterproof log as cache isnt. Wrapped piggy in the blanket again. Tftc
Clever cache. Good spot. Wet log so couldn't write on it. Found with kakariki.
Found with lauratrothegigantor. Log wet, name not added to local list. Great spot. Seaweed should read lichen. TFTC!
Superb hide in a tranquil spot. However, the last place on a wet and very windy day you would expect to find what must have been the ONLY fisherman out on the entire harbour....right where I wanted to be...gggrrr...manage to find hide but had to what while he went back to his shelter before I managed to retrieve and sign log. I have decide I must be a Muggle Magnet....in the most out of the way spots, they turn up right where I want to be...fishermen, trampers, sales reps writing out orders, road gangs, runners, cyclists.......I could get a complex .....perhaps Mugglenoia even....still, it will be better tomorrow....YEAH RIGHT
Another day out with the kids for a school holiday cache hunt. After reading the previous log entries i thought this one was going to take a lot longer to locate than it actually did. Nice camo work on the cache. Log was wet but we were still able to sign it.
Didn't notice the DNF's before looking for this one! It was exactly like it describes in the hint, but I didn't see any seaweed. Quite camouflaged, so super happy to find this one!
Thanks for bringing me to this spot - not been here before.

Didn't really look hard after all the DNFs. Shame though as would have been awesome place for a cache..
Didn't expect to find this one after all the other DNF; but the boys gave it a good shot.
Mum and 1YO watched and waited from the track.
The boys had a moment for excitement when they found a Kinder Surprise inner - after inspecting, the team did a CITO on the rubbish and had to take a DNF for the cache.

I had to be very quick here as the tide was nearly in and I couldn't do a proper search. Consequently I didn't find it.
Me and my mate got out there and had a good look for around 15 minutes. We turned over every rock we saw and still nothing. Oh well better luck next time.
Similar to the last finders...found the location, knew sort of where to look, but must have turned over every rock before we saw something that made us think twice! Was a bit of other stuff here too, sad that the local fishermen cant be bothered removing carcasses or plastic bags. Anyway, neat spot...wanted a photo but had just drained camera battery. Next time! Thanks Glyn.
This was the cache that caused us the most difficulty for the day.
Found the location easily but the actual cache itself eluded us for a good 15 minutes! Thankfully, perseverance won out and we maintained our perfect record to that stage of no DNFs!

Great walk around walkway. Good spot for cache. Only had to move a couple of rocks b4 spoting cache. Guess I was lucky as there were many rocks to choose from. TFTC
This one wasn't a quick find due to some crafty camo that had us moving rocks for far too long. Was nearing giving up when we spotted it as plain as day just sitting there! Love your work glyn
Visiting NZ from UK walking round peninsular like the idea it gets submerged twice a day TFTC Fav
Awesome spot - took a while (and had to pretend to be really interested in crabs as a lady watched us from her deck). Just as we were about to give up I looked back and found it - seemed obvious once I did! tftc
Took a while searching untill we finally clued on. Met up with one of the locals that was well aware of what we were up to. Nice hide. TFTC
Luckily the tide conditions favourable today - and the weather [hat and sunblock needed today!]
Took a short while to find, Well placed out of sight of houses and walkway - tftc

Wow ...I'll never forget this one !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nearly gave up ! Out there scrabbling around for ages ! Friendly local even came over for a chat about GCing !
Wonderful feeling to finally get it ! ...really terrific camo ! Def a favourite ...worth the frustration ....

Spent the morning busy as, but then had about 2 hours to kill before the gym, so decided to wipe out as much of Te Atatu Peninsula as I could that was still on my unfound list. Well, what better way to spend an arvo?!
Fifth one of the day.
I remember biking down here about a year and a half ago, trying to find this cache with absolutely no luck. I just couldn't see how anything could be hidden here at all!!
Well, like 18ish months, and like 1200 finds later, (About what, 100 from this CO?), I managed to walk over here, and pick up the cache straight away! It just was so obvious this time! Wow. Very neatly fitted in with the other stuff of this sort near here though!!
And that mud is decievingly soft!! It looked like I could cut over, and just walk on over, but nope. I sunk... so jumped back onto solid ground to not destroy my shoes!
TFTC!!

The Future Finder is always keen to explore a new beach, especially if there are rocks to climb over. So, when we found ourselves nearby during low tide we made this cache a priority. Super quick find thanks to a crystal clear hint. Thanks for that, it could have been a nightmare otherwise. Nice spot and good utilisation of geo-space. Cheers for the cache placement!
Spent a sunny afternoon finding a few caches on the Te Atatu Peninsula. Although the tide was out, it was a really nice place to be and a most enjoyable walk to GZ. I knew this was a Glyn hide as soon as I lifted the rock, thought 'nothing there' then realised I was looking at the camo. Nice camo (as always), nice hide and a favourite point from me. TFTC.
Quick find with four pairs of eyes to search. Amazing to think this hide has survived as long as it has despite the weather and environment!
#831, Found cache out in the open, but was still well hidden, replaced back under the rock where I believe it should have been, placed rock on top to secure it down. Son loved the crabs at this location. TFTC
Out this morning enjoying a few caches along this coast line at low tide. Great views and interesting gz. Had to sit and re read clue, But then the penny dropped. Another wee peak and Bingo! Cache in hand. Great camo here Glen. Thankyou for sharing this beautiful place. Fav point here.
Previously this cache had eluded us but with Mr Alligator at work I decided to check this one out by myself and also to take my new pretty blue sneakers for a road/beach test.
So GPS on the right setting - check, spare batteries - check, cache bag - check, colour co-ordinated to match my sneakers - check..... off I went.
Was going to the wrong groyne until I figured out how to get the compass setting on the GPs, so luckily with the tide being out was able to dirty up the new sneakers and get to the correct spot. Trying again to look inconspicuous (while a muggle in lovely tie dyed clothing was having what looked to be a meditation/knitting session on the bank nearby) by sitting and contemplating the view. After disturbing many a small crab hiding under the rocks that I turned over, and a broken finger nail later, was able to finally spot it - Eureka!!! The log paper a smidge on the damp side but still able to write on.
Replaced carefully and smugly walked back to the car being careful not to get my shoes more dirty and not disturb the knitting/meditating muggle .....

A little blowey to spend too long hunting around but couldn't find the correct rock before the dogs told me they had enough of the wind
this one was a goody very well disguised took me a while could of done with another pair of eyes got there in the end log nice an dry tftc
That the tide was out was just by chance as I had just come for a walk. A good cache on an object that I was wondering their purpose. Appreciate your effort in keeping it there.
Interesting place and nice views! It was low tide so we had no problems reaching the place. First we found only small crabs but after reading the description carefully we found also the cache. There was some moisture inside the cache container.
It is a good idea to tell in a description if cache owner would like to or would like not hear feedback about his/her cache. One local cache owner took it bit seriously when we told that we did not not like everything about his cache.
Thanks for the micro-cache!

Approached with some trepidation as the map showed it in the sea, and at 5:00 pm it was nearly high tide. Got my toes wet on the arm of the groyne but the cache itself was still exposed and perfectly dry inside and out. Log sheet was full and I signed on top of a previous but faded entry. Then I remembered I had a strip of waterproof paper in my pocket so inserted it into the cache - a tight fit.
This cache is a very smart concept and so well executed, so one of my favourites. Coordinates had me standing right on top the cache.

Spent ages searching for this, determined not to give up! eventually got it with the help of the hint. fantastic camouflage, amazing hide and great place to come for a walk on anzac day. tftc
Lsat time we considered looking for this one the tide was in and it was dark. Tonight we are doing night caching in Te Atatu. We have no idea of the tide times (what little we can see the tide is not full) and it is very dark. But this time we are determined to do it. We check the best access on Google Earth, and tiptoe past the houses (it is midnight). No tidal issues tonight, and we find ourselves at GZ surprisingly fast. After a bit of a scout around eliminating most possibilities one of us spots something interesting - a nicely camoflaged cache. A little damp inside but the waterproof log is fine, the writing just a bit blurry. Thanks for another night-time adventure.

The suggestion that this was below the water line was a bit of an exaggeration, but after a bit of hunting we found it. Good camo! TFTC
Very clever hide...but didn't take too long to find. We loved the walk this cache took us on...TFTC
Walked up here through the beach. Spent a little time looking for it. DC gave up and sat down on one of the rocks as he watched me turning rocks and putting my hands where I can until I found something interesting. Nice hide and awesome camo job applied to this one. Very pleased to get this one after all the searches. Felt silly not looking there the first time....haha

We almost didn't even try this one because we thought we'd have to walk through mud, but the tide was low and there was a way to the cache. Very cool place!
Third of four finds this afternoon whilst out walking with WelshGirl77 and SquishyD.
Although the coord were spot-on, it still took me a while to locate the cache, mainly thanks to it's camo.
