We are staying in Marysville for a few days and the weather is really warm. We decided to drive up to the lookout so we could benefit from the car air-conditioning lol On the way up we saw a few firies who were monitoring the area as it had been part of a planned burn earlier in the week, no longer alight (I am sure the smoke still freaked Marysville residents and visitors out despite many electronic signs advising it was a planned burn - it certainly made us a bit wary) The view from up here is lovely, GMelb went off to find the cache whilst JMelb took photos. Signed log and left 2 TB tags which are linked together on 1 chain but minus their original attachments. We didnt stay out of the car long ... off to Buxton etc now. After spending the at Anderson's Saw Mill camp we drove up to check out the lookout. A delightful view of the town and the mountains, very glad we made the drive here. Cache was found on the way back from the platform without too much effort. All good here.TFTC
Awesome cache, awesome spot. TYFTC! There was also a trackable that I’ve taken and will regime somewhere special.
What a beautiful spot, even on silvery cloudy winter mornings. Thankyou for brining us here!
What a stunning lookout! Thankful to iamapom for leading us to a spot we have never been before.
Cache was not covered up previously - very lucky it was not muggled as it was extremely exposed.

Decided on way home to do some local exploring. Thank goodness we did. The view is spectacular! TFTC
TwoEms enjoyed watching the plumes of dust puff up behind our car as we made our way up the dirt road to the lookout. We came to find some treasure, but we easily got distracted by the view. Thank you for the cache.
A beautiful day for an adventure and to teach a caching newbie how it’s done! TFTC
Enjoying a Christmas break away with AlexiKatty and decided to collect a few smiles while we are at it. TFTC
Having a well deserved Xmas/new years break with ThaKraken. Wouldn't be fun without some caching! Tftc and all the best for 2023!!! AlexiKatty
A trip to Marysville for a conference had me somewhat at a loose end so a little caching was decided upon. I have a few too mant active and live travellers with me so time to move them on out. Thanks for the trip up here today. I almost walked but found the drive far more palatable! Enjoy!
Mrs B and I had been up to this lookout on a prior occasion when we were exploring the area with the 4WD club but at that time we decided not to seek out the cache as no one else was "into caching"! This time we were accompanied by our caching mates who were keen to look for it as were we. Mrs B can lay claim to finding this first as the rest of us were taking in the (clouded) views from the lookout. There's plenty to see and do around Marysville so we'll no doubt be back in the future.

I’m having this week off as others at work had the Easter break off so it was my turn and another trip up North to Mildura was planned.
I left Melbourne nice and early on Friday to get a few caches in on the way up to Culgoa.
My main aim of the weekend at Mildura was to finish the Turtle series and to start the Paddle Steamer series so all good on those 2.
So after a great 3 days in Mildura then an over night stop in Boort and then Euroa time to head to Marysville for the weekend to catch up with friends.
I was not taking the most direct route as I wanted to drive through some old towns that are now only dots on the map and I want to take the back roads as well.
7 hours to do what is a 312 kms direct trip then 6 hours to do 211km direct trip I really must be taking the round about way.
Yesterday was another 6hr trip which if you go by a direct route should be110kms
After a nice feed at the Duck Inn last night a day af exploring while waiting for my friends to arrive.
After visiting the Lake Mountain Resort earlier this morning I was recommended by the local bus driver to do this lookout at some stage.
So after the walk around the old Cambarville Cumberland area I headed up to here.
You can still remnants of the devastation of 2009.
A quick find at GZ then I had a look over Marysville from the viewing platform and as I went back to the car there was a guy just sitting down for a snack as he had just walked up from Marysville.
Thanks iamapom & Blatherskite TFTC.

What an absolutely beautiful place you have bought me to…. Found your cache safe and sound right next to the unbelievably beautiful Keppel Lookout.
A strenuous hike up here and you prize was my reward.
Thank you!

We took the very steep walking trail to get up here but easily accessible from nearby road. Amazing view over Marysville and a beautiful day to be here. Cache is huge and a relatively quick find. Thanks Iamapom and blatherskite!
A nice place, thanks for showing!
They are still renewing the walking tracks, so the path up to here from the Steavenson waterfall was closed (signs at both the ends). They were felling trees while we were there, so we had a small picnik (there is a table next to the viewing platform) and waited for them to finish while trying to guess where the cache could be. Once the workers were finished and left, I checked out the places not yet searched and found the cache right away. Before that while searching on the other side, we also found a skin of a brown-snake - be careful - to find the cache there is no need to risk stepping on a snake.

I have a little set of draft logs that are not huge in number (22) but date back eight months. I can't remember what I was doing eight days ago let alone eight months, so am going to be efficient or pragmatic or lazy or something and do generic logs. Sorry about that. I do appreciate the efforts of all COs though and can definitely say a big TFTC
Lovely outlook, a nice spot to take in the views and maybe a short walk. Thanks for this one iamapom & Blatherskite
No other takers to go to the lookout tonight, so I went up on my own. We’d only just arrived in Marysville this arvo, so everyone else is happy to relax after a long day of Christmasing yesterday. Not me though. I make the most of every minute of holidays. I’m not so much the relaxing kind.
I went up about an hour before sunset in the hope of having the place to myself to search for this cache. And I did have it to myself, but there wasn’t much “searching” needed. The cache was clearly visible on approach, which was great for me, but not so good for cache longevity. I signed the log and did my best to completely cover it with logs and rocks, although now there is a highly suspicious pile of “stuff” instead.
Spent the next hour playing with a long exposure app to try and catch the movement in the clouds (pic attached) and freezing my tits off!!!

Was having a quiet day at work so popped up to enjoy the view, then figured that there must be a cache here! Such a beautiful spot, thanks for the cache.
The last person closed the cache with the hinge inside so we had to force it open but don’t worry we fixed it. Lots of good swag, signed and replaced TFTC. Look at this great view
Up in this region for a few days doing some day hikes and thought I nab this one on the way through. Challenging doing the Keppel Lookout Track and the Steavensons Falls, and was very eerie with the very low cloud cover along with a light drizzle. Thanks for the cache and the walk.
Here for the day sight seeing but not too many sights as the fog was thick!!! Awesome size cache all in good order tftc
Kids loved this army style one. I didn't love my navigation system going wild
Found while on a group hike... we stopped for lunch, and picked this one up as we started the walk back down to the falls. TFTC
This was the second last touristy task up here before taking the long way home today. After completely filthifying the car to get to the lookout, I figured that this was too close to pass up if I could find it. With the views duly admired, I started following the arrow but that nearly caused me to have an unwanted meeting with one of our slithery pals .
The more conventional route to GZ though had me signing the log at 12:35 *sans* any further reptilian concerns.
Loved the views, loved the big cache, loved giving you a fave point.
TNLNSL. Thanks iamapom & Blatherskite.

Find 1 of 5 for the day and #2240 in total.
Found by Spice! (Echo 0 - Spice 1)
Great view, definitely worth a cache.
We got here with no one else in sight but found the table covered in bags and could hear a lot of voices so we knew we didn’t have much time.
After a bit of searching we cracked the hint which made us think we were looking in the right area but that was it so we expanded our search area and after more searching we found it. Unfortunately it was at the same time the voices appeared from below the viewing platform...
So while they were on the other side of the trees we went into stealth mode and got the container open, log signed and everything returned.
(“\(0o0)/“) Thanks iamapom for the caching fun!

Great walk up from Marysville and a quick find when all the muggles disappeared.
Easy find from a lovely scenic spot. Also a great drive up. Don't go here if you are looking for a place to see the sunset.

Stuffitletsgoaroundaustralia staying in marysville and exploring this top area of Vic. Thanks for the hide
Found on a long circular walk from Marysville via Stevenson Falls. Beautiful views and sunset made it worth it.
A little hazy up here but the view was still awesome. Thank you for bringing us here and for the cache.
Although there is still evidence of the bushfires, it was great to see that it is regenerating so well. Thanks for bringing us here and showing us the view.

Another relatively easy find here as we explore the area. Great views!

I took a day off work and did the Keppel Lookout circuit. As it had been quite wet the day before, I thought I'd do the steep part up from Falls Rd to the lookout first. The first section in particular smelled glorious, with the damp earth and the trees and flowers around. I wish I could bottle that scent.
The steep part was a bit of work, and though the weather was cool, there was a lot of humidity, so I ended up quite warm.
The cache itself was found easily after a quick look out at the lookout. You could easily see Cathedral Ranges - I was glad the smoke haze had let up significantly.
The rest of the circuit made for a good hike, and some of the lookouts further along had slightly even better views than this one, I felt. Thanks for the cache.

Melbourne Cup Day escape from the horses! Beautiful spot, walking the Keppel Lookout Track T4TC
On a hike with a group of friends. Such a beautiful view from the look out. Wanted to get a cache while I was on the hike. Perfect place to pick up a one, TFTC
Found on a 4wd outing. Unfortunately we couldn’t see much from the lookout due to the smoke haze but thanks for bringing me here all the same. 943
An overcast morning but a nice deive and an awesome view. Favourite for me. Thanks to iamapom & Blatherskite for placing this cache.
We came up for the 2018 Marysville Jazz & Blues Festival as Mr A's band was playing a set at the Vibe Bar & Grill as part of the Saturday lineup. Had a really enjoyable time here over the last few days and loved the chilled atmosphere of this cute resort town away from the busy city. The cache was easily located and we dropped a couple of trackable for the next finder. TFTC
Found it! The Walkabouters were out and about today! In Marysville to be exact with a mission to visit Steavenson Falls and Keppel Lookout! And we made it! There was a lot happening at GZ. Two guys were flying a drone with lots of onlookers. Muggle Michael and I searched for the cache and a young Spiderman investigated under the platform. A few people were interested in geocaching so we gave them some information. It was the largest cache some had seen. Signed the log and replaced it out of sight. Thanks for the cache. It was great to visit here with the Walkabouters who last visited as a group in 1999! TFTC SL
What a beautiful day to be out in this lovely part of the state. After visiting Steavenson Falls we came around to the look out and found this cache. Plenty of wildlife about. TFTC.
First visit to Keppel Lookout and what a fantastic view it is. I thought I spotted the cache from the platform and we just had to wait out a group of tourists. And wait we did which seemed like they would never leave. When the group started walking down the slope, this was our chance to discretely go to the location I saw. Turned out to be rubbish so out came the gps. On the right track now and cache found in fine condition. Thank you iamapom & Blatherskite for bringing us to this spectacular area.
Woohoo! GPS was sending us all sorts of ways!
Finally got my son back in the caching groove. We've taken a trackable and left a cute hand knitted worm bookmark.
Photo isn't a hint... just proof we were here!
HINT: turn left before the lookout

Not only did we get to enjoy that great view, plus find a cache, what more is there, i ask, but we also managed to get a demonstration on how all these drones we have seen this weekend work. They are quite impressive i must say, although i am not sure if they are for me. I still like a good old fashioned camera, one that's not mounted on a stick and that you can still look through an eye glass and not at a little screen.

Found 16/4. Was with our Probus group who were mainly out playing golf or bowls in Marysville. Not for us though! Despite rain and fog we ascended with hope of finding a nice view and a cache. Found the cache in good order but was confronted with thick fog, but this did not deter us to return with Dicksontwo a couple of days later to make their find and finally be able to enjoy the wonderful view. We are visiting lovely Marysville with a group. We and Rogdel are the only geocachers in the group and we took some time out to hunt for few. This was our sixth and last today at 2.45 pm. Fantastic view from up there, iamapom (haven't come across you for a while!) &Blatherskite, very many thanks for placing the cache as a bonus. TNLNSL. A Fav from us because, hopefully, it will draw cachers who might not experience the place otherwise.
On our way to the annual Buller Getaway with wozzle68, we decided to add an extra day and spend a night in Marysville so we could all explore the area in a bit more detail than our last respective visits. After checking in at the Caravan Park, we went for a drive up to this lookout. The scale of the devastation of Black Saturday really hits home when travelling in this area. After admiring the views and playing with happy snaps, the cache was a quick find. It was interesting to note that the logbook gets signed by many non-cachers - and they seem to regard it like a visitors book for the area, as everything is in good order with the cache. TFTC iamapom and Blatherskite.
Found with Chooknchunk while staying in Marysville overnight before heading up to the buller getaway 2018. We really loved the views from the lookout and it was nice to an ammo can.
Another readily accessible cache that seems to be found surprisingly infrequently. At least by geocachers; the last note in the log corresponded to a serendipitous discovery, as far as buhfuhguh and I could tell. It was quickly found in good condition after copping any eyeful of the tremendous view at the titular lookout. Thanks iamapom & Blatherskite!
Note: access by 2WD was quite unproblematic on this mid-summer day.

Thanks for putting one up the top there, found it on a 15km circuit walk of the area with 7 other friends. Just as planned, all 7 of them walked right past the cache without noticing it - mission success! I stayed behind to search and found it after about 2 minutes of looking.
Another great view around Marysville What a great size cache for the Aussie bush! TFTC took TB
Up here camping and stopped by this one on the way home. Cache found easily and in good condition. Dropped off a TB. Great view, thanks for placing this cache
