Ordinary weather saw the park far less populated which made life easier. At GZ we circled round for quite a while until the beautifully crafted hide was finally located. After our quick trip home we arrived back in Bendigo last night, looking forward to a bit more relaxed time with a mixture of caching and sightseeing. It was raining overnight but fine this morning so we took the opportunity to get out after fixing the HWS. Mainly a mixture of multis and puzzles.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache Tassydevil.**SKI Pair****
Well Cooinda Park was very popular today. Finding a park was somewhat difficult as well.
I'm heading across to Ballarat today but decided to grab a few solved mysteries before starting my journey.
I walked down the track and arrived at GZ, then I circled around a few times before finally spotting what I was looking for.
Thanks to Romax for placing this cache and to TassyDevil for keeping it going.

Oh my goodness have I been on a journey. This puzzle drove me crazy for three days. I had friends working on it, I was feeling up random trees in the wrong location, I was asking strangers if they had seen bees. We were entirely mislead by a red herring which lead us to the wrong spot. Let me just say - ignore the code word, to this day I still have no idea what it was. Just focus on the word puzzle. When you solve a tricky one like this, it leads to so much satisfaction. When we found out where to go, the rest was very straight forward with a clever hide.
I tried to figure out this word puzzle for three hours. It just has me absolutely stumped and no bees to guide my way either. I’ll have to try again another day
I have had this one on my to do list for quite awhile
Glad to see a smiley now at last
Bees still active near GZ
Signed log and replaced where found TFTC

It is not very often that I say this, "cache found and log signed by myself", but I was here on my own as I had the Hilux in at Bendigo Toyota for it's scheduled service, and my man was back in Tatura working .
Have had these few "luxury" Romax/tassydevil mysterie's on my list to find and sign for a while now, and today was the opportune time to find them.
Some I had a hand in solving, some slightly, but I found them all on my own today .
My partner mentioned seeing Bees at gz when he visited this cache, and blow me down they are still in situ.
After dropping the car off, getting into the loan car which happened to be another Hilux, and heading straight to Eaglehawk Bakery for a coffee and some delicious Hot Cross Buns.
I was targeting caches that my partner dalerious has signed prior to us becoming a partnership .

I had been thinking about a trip to Bendigo for over a month so that I could find My centroid cache and with an event in town this weekend plans were made to do a few days caching with My good mate Omegaman1971.There are always plenty of laughs while we are turning caches into smiles.
This is one of the caches found today. Nice to finally turn this one into a smile, My last attempt I was chased off by bees, today we came back just on dusk when the bees are going to bed and soon had the cache in hand.
Thanks Tassydevil for the cache

Back in Bendigo with Rebel Acts for a few days of caching fun, It's great to see so many new caches around town.
The weather wasn't the kindest ,sun was absolutely baking but still had a great day of caching.
Cheers for the cache.

I haven’t spent much time caching in Bendigo, so with a couple of events on for the weekend I decided to team up with OzHockeyChick for some caching adventures.
This puzzle confused me initially, mainly after reading all the details about the code word and numbers etc etc. I managed to solve it without that and eventually worked my way backwards to understand the code word clue. I’m not sure I would have landed the code word and how to use it the other way around, but fortunately as the CO mentions there were other ways to get there.
The cache was found today during our trip after a short search by multiple eyes.
Thanks Tassydevil for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to find.

I looked at the cache and went to the other side. RH looked at the cache and picked it up. Oh well, at least one of us found it. Thanks for the cache.
I don't think that I would have located this as quickly as RH did. I noticed that some logs refer to bees but I really think, if they haven't gone, that the weather was too cold for them today. A long time since I have smelled these berries crushed. Thanks for the cache.
A weekend road trip camping adventure with RoamingHowie, exploring the Bendigo area as well as attending a couple of events and a cito, teaming up with Papi4506 & Geoturtle37 along the way.
A couple of weeks ago, knowing we'd soon be spending the weekend in Bendigo, I set about solving some puzzles in the area.
I liked this one. Nice to now have a smiley in its place.
Thanks for bringing us here today by placing this cache, Tassydevil

A fabulous caching day with Posums in and around the outskirts of Bendigo. Cache found and bees avoided. Many thanks for the cache.
Staying up at Castlemaine for the weekend and I mentioned to GemmaSistema that I would be staying up this way, so Gemma made a trip up to here and we met up in the morning and then spent a fantastic day around the outer suburbs of Bendigo.
Plenty of laughs, Bush tracks, a couple of Lab caches thrown in and of course lots of other caches found along the way, ending with a couple of pizzas for tea in the Castlemaine Botanical Gardens
A great day out was had.
Thanks for the help in solving this one as I had no idea.
Read a couple of previous logs and we soon spotted the bees and their home.
So we we made a bee line to the cache (I had to say that) without upsetting them and we added our names to the log.
Thanks Romax & Tassydevil TFTC.

A tricky puzzle that I couldn’t get to work out perfectly. Thankfully a bit of brute force got me a tick in the checker. Today I had the opportunity to turn this one into a smiley. Found the beehive and a few minutes later the cache was located. Very good camo.

During the Covid lockdown a group of puzzle enthusiasts met weekly on Zoom meetings and spent our time solving puzzles for when we could once again go forth into the shrubbery to find caches.
This was one of the puzzles solved during that time as, being a Romax puzzle, it took combined brain power to work it out.
Having read previous logs though, and being allergic to bees, I sent dalerious ahead to locate the clever cache.
Thanks for both the entertainment you provided during lockdown Romax, and the cleverly constructed cache container.

Two trips to Bendigo in two days.
Whodathunkit? [:o]
This time I was here with Cybergran V which was just as well cos she had done the hard yards to solve the puzzle.
Sneaky hide. We didn't disturb the bees and the bees didn't disturb us.
TFTC Romax and thanks for watching over it Tassydevil.

This puzzle had been solved a while ago however we were now in the area. At the GZ I was struggling...I was on the verge of pulling the pin due to the nearby bees however Mrs frilk pointed out a possible location...yup, there it was. TFTC.
Another yIPPEEE and bingo bango experience - here I am at GZ and enjoying the time out exploring Bendigo on the trusty MTB. Always something new and plenty of colourful wild flowers out making this a nice time of year to ride. Like a lot of these testy puzzles, a wee cluey nudge from my geo buddies help make the final solve. I did leave wondering what a future archeologist might make of the lingering trash that seems to draw the eye. Anyway, good find all up. TFTC AND THE FUN.
Mr Riddell has been hot to trot today: second Romax original he has spotted within minutes of arrival to GZ
Thanks to Tassydevil for keeping this ingenious little hide alive. It is so well disguised and so natural looking.

Day 9 of our epic trek to the St Arnaud Mega via Geelong and return via wherever the caches are.
The constant was my travel companion for the entire trip, - Anymules but we were joined by other cachers in our travels.
With the Mega event finished we continued caching around Bendigo where we were based for a few days. The GPS died yesterday so let's try some phone caching.
Another solved before coming over. Went for a walk to get the steps up only to find very active bees coming and going from trees near GZ. A check of logs and they are mentioned but it did stop finding the cache. A slow and cautious search and I put my hand on something not quite right. The very well camouflaged cache. A FP for this one too.
Thanks for the cache.

Found it. After searching around avoiding both the bee trees (yes, there are now two of them) we started looking for something more tricky than first thought. Ahh. There’s something calls out Brisal5, and soon afterwards we had our names in the log. FP added for the hide.

We teamed up with Rapidlywild and headed down from Canberra for another Geocaching Victoria Mega. We arrived at our accommodation in Bendigo on Friday afternoon / evening and checked out a few caches in the area before retiring for the evening. On Saturday morning, we had a pleasant drive across to St Arnaud, arriving at the event as the opening ceremony was wrapping up, and the lab caches were released, so we joined the frenzy with the masses solving the cleverly constructed lab caches.
Monday, day three of our mega weekend and after checking out of our accommodation we cached around Bendigo picking a few solved puzzles, an EC, virtual and some challenge caches and random ones alone the way while heading on our long trek home. One of the team had to work the next day so didn’t want a late one.
Took a bit before finally coming up with the goods at this one.

It's that time of the year again, Victorian Mega time, so its off to St Arnaud for myself and the ladies of FurfacesLL. A long road trip ahead, heading off Friday morning and getting home late Monday night and a fun filled weekend. We found many caches of all kinds of variety.. Trads, Multis, Puzzles, EC's, Virtuals, Letterboxes, Wherigos, Events, Cito's and of course, the Mega itself. We enjoyed the weekend and there sure are some unique caches here in St Arnaud, we still have plenty left to collect, so may need to coordinate another trip this way some time.
Home day today, but we had to get some caches before hand of course After checking out of our accommodation, we picked up a few caches in Bendigo, some challenge caches north of Bendigo, a some random caches along the way home. We had to restrict our caching otherwise we would have never made it back to Canberra.
Took a few attempts to work this one out, but got there in the end. Overlooked the cache a couple of times before spotting the well como'ed cache.
Thanks for the hide Tassydevil And thanks to the FFLL ladies for another amazing trip away

Happy to say the are still enjoying inhabiting their tree even after many years.
Sad to say the trackable that is listed is not there️
Happy to report the cache is in good condition
Happy to find today after searching at dusk/night last night and not finding after heading wrong way for ages after looking at maps that were not north up (DOH!) and not looking at maps again after a long walk in wrong direction, geodog Luna did enjoy the looong walk though.

Another we solved ages ago and collected today. Bit of a hairy retrieval as the tree was swarmed with bees . Sean. 75 braves it and his sweet butt wasn’t bitten Tftc
Out on a road trip to clear up a few mysteries that I've had solved. After dodging the bees and reassuring them that I wasn't after their honey the cache was found. Excellent hide, Fp for construction. Cigc. Tftc
Muggle with dog surprised me just as I found the well hidden cache. Thanks Tassydevil for providing some direction for the puzzle. Thanks Tasydevil and Romax for the well constructed cache. Bees were quiet on this chilly day.
Found with Dippa46 on a beautiful Autumn day while holidaying in Bendigo. Nicely done. TFTC
After finding the locals we knew we were on the wrong side, change of plan and we soon had the very clever cache in hand. FP from me. tftc
Found with Kenbryl and Kenare on our Bendigo cache run after much puzzle solving. Thanks for the tricky cache. Love the cache construction fave added. The bees were very active today but we managed to avoid conflict
Up this way with wozzle68 and kenbryl enjoying the sunshine and the caches. A FP from me for the clever hide. Tftc
*In town for my Grandson's 1st Birthday*.
Out early with Happy Feet grabbing one or two on what is to be a 40°+ day.
This was found fairly quickly with no muggles about at this time of morning. Having this one solved some time ago, it was just a case of stopping off to grab it.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment Romax... Appreciate your efforts...

In town for a few days. Up early to try and grab a few before it reaches 40+ day with Snap Happy. Wandering in and found a hive of bees near GZ. Pleased that I also made the quick discovery of a nice camoed container, so we didn't have to hang around for too long.

It's been way too long since Square Pegs and I cached Bendigo so today we put a fix to that with a list of solved mystery caches to turn into smiley faces. The weather today was fantastic, hot and ultimately quite physically draining.
This cache was number 9 on our itinerary. A nicely done puzzle that brought us to a conundrum ... just where is the cache? This was tough and we spent more time than usual. We were about to DNF it when SP noticed something
Thanks Romax I really like where you've placed this clever hide. The camo is brilliant.

This was an enjoyable puzzle to work through and today with abl973, we set off to GZ. A pleasant location, and after some looking and being mindful of some bees, the cleverly hidden container was discovered. It is a really fine example.

At first the puzzle has us quite perplexed but we finally found the first step and from there it was plain sailing for us pirates. WOW, what a fantastic constructed hide, well done.
We did place a TB in this cache but unfortunately I logged it into a different cache, I have asked the owner if they are able to move it for me as I no longer have the tracking code. These are the caches that make you wish that you could give more than one favourite point. SL TFTC

Found this morning after having solved this before we left home. A well camoed hide in a spot that is appropriate. Thank heavens we didn't need to go to close to the bees. Thanks Roma for another great puzzle and hide.
Found on my second visit. The first time I was with my 3yo when the weather turned foul just as I started to search, so we had to return to the car and move on. I didn't log a DNF because I didn't have time for a proper search. Today I was alone with perfect weather. The bees weren't a problem either. I noticed some in the vicinity, but I managed to spot the nicely camouflaged container, retrieve it and sign the log without disturbing them. Loved this one - another favourite from me! TFTC!
Firstly, apologies for the delayed logs.
Headed to Bendigo for the day with Sorceysal and Tessie the geodog for some quality caching.
We took more time trying to find a suitable parking point not too far from the cache than in the actual search. Knowing the CO's coords are as accurate as they come, another clever hide was spotted.
Thanks again Roamx

Out and about caching with Bogonghazy and geodog Tess on our way to Bendigo. We found some really great caches on this very enjoyable sunny day.
Made the short walk to GZ and I had a bit of trepidation as I had been chased by bees at another cache in Geelong and was stung several times. Thankfully BH made a quick find of this very cleverly concealed cache. Another fave of course. Thanks Romaz

Found in the company of The Tritonz during a huge day of caching in the Bendigo area, targeting mainly mysteries, this one was a tricky find made harder by the presence of a lot of bees, some of which were unhappy about us being in there area, at one point I was chased out of the search but on a second visit the container was spotted

ST37E and ourselves actually gave this one 2 shots as the first time the boys were chased by the tree residents and thought better of it, but then after having second thoughts decided to give it another shot.

Another great little puzzle, which kept us entertained for some time.
Had to search GZ methodically, before finding the well hidden cache container.
Many thanks for placing this cache, Romax, for us and others to find.

[Red]I arrived at ground zero to find bees coming and going from several points and decided to back slowly away when I was stung on the face , my instinctive reaction was to squash the stinger which I did and then found several more swarming on me at which point I freaked and bolted at full speed swiping at the few remaining bees on me and all I could hear behind me was the buzz of bee wings. This is one place I won't be returning to in a hurry[/Red]

We solved this puzzle in preparation for our trip to Bendigo. We made our way to GZ and found a hive of bees had moved in. Luckily we spied the very well camoed cache, signed the log and replaced carefully. Thanks for the hide Romax, a favourite from us.
Great puzzle we solved prior to our Bendigo trip. As we approached GZ one of the kids spotted the beehive guarding the cache, so we approached with care. Signed and replaced the log. Thanks for the hide Romax.
Thanks to McLookers and Glanville Girls for solving this puzzle , Thanks Romax for the cache.
Glad it was a cool day, as the hive of bees were docile. Much care was taken while signing and replacing the cache. Thanks Romax, a good hide.
Thanks to McLookers and Glanville Girls for solving this puzzle, was 'buzzing' with activity when we found it, clever camo....
Sorry Romax.
I had the wrong cache. I deleted the log and will add it to the correct one. This one was all good. I solved the puzzle but still couldn't work out the keyword. It didn't matter though. Evince was happy.
I had to work with paper, pen, scissors, paste and texta - you can name any aid that you can think of and I used it to solve this puzzle.
Searching at ground Zero took some time. Eventually looking from a different direction I noticed something and that made me happy.
Nice to have this one filed away after staring up at me for so long in my 'to be solved' pile.
Alphabet soup and Bird Haven Revisited are now added to the next trip.

After catching up at the recent event at the kick off point for this cache, a clue was given to assist Mrs Whit to solve the puzzle. With puzzle solved we returned today to grab and sign this cache. As soon as Mrs Whit spied it, she knew she had it!! SL TNLN TFTC (and "clue" to help solve the puzzle!)
No luck on this one, I should have rang Max for a quick hint so i could grab and run, I used to keep bees but developed a severere alergic reaction after a couple of hundred stings, so when they started poring out of the tree I made a quick retreat, did not want to spend the rest of the day in Hospital, I will come prepared next time.

Headed over to Bendigo for the day to complete the Smiley Face - FUF009 came with us. We left home at 6.40am and hit the first cache at 8.33am and then with the great walk through the Wellsford Forest, we finished the face at 11.52am. Some tricky hides, with a variety of cache containers, made it really interesting to do.
We then decided to fill the day in with a few more finds around Bendigo, and this was one of them. Luckily FUF009 had already done the puzzle for this find.
Took Black Tribe Man. Left Horse.

Decided to head over to Bendigo with Tyred n Cranky to complete the smilie face. After the bush walk we went into Bendigo for some Lunch and to get a couple of more caches.
I have had the co-ords for this cache GZ for some time and giving it was on our way, I talked Tyred n Cranky in going to get this one.

Friday was spent trying to keep dry but not succeeding very well while increasing suscoe’s and Bushfire’s numbers and found some great hides and this was one of them.
This is the type of hide where you can see that a lot of thought has gone into it and that is what I like.
As for suscoe and the bee's what a wimp, they were more than happy to stay in their dry hole than come out and get wet.
Thanks for an interesting cache.

Suscoe and Bushfire were out enjoying getting wet in the rain.
We started the trip to GZ in the rain, searched in the rain and the w all back was the same!
At GZ we initially were a little puzzled, Suscoe enjoyed the warm feeling of a bee hive, hand quickly removed!
After a bit of searching, Bushfire called out with a smile on his face!
We checked out the cleverly hidden cache.
Signed and returned with a certain satisfaction.
Thanks to Romax for a great hide!
A favourite from us!

After receiving a clue for this one some time ago I finally got around to hunting this one down. Great day for a walk so off I went and after a couple of circles this one was in hand. Another great container from ROMAX.
The original Play Money was actually one of my first few to find so the picture did bring back memories of it.
TNLN Thanks ROMAX for another cleaver hide.

5546. [font=Century Gothic][green]I decided that finding an uncovered cache for his first look at caching wasn't a good showcase so I decided to do one more not remembering that it was a Romax cache. Got to GZ and he walked straight past it and really had no idea where it could be. I missed it the first sweep but on the second time around there it was. Not disappointed at all and got to showcase a cache from a master. He was suitably impressed.[/green][font=Verdana]
[blue]Thanks for the cache Romax and the fact I actually found one when required![/blue]

Rated: for Overall Experience
This puzzle had me stumped for quite some time. I had an idea of how to solve it but my procedure did not work even though I was probably on the right track. In the end I solved the puzzle in one of the number of ways that are possible but not the intended way. I loved the cache container. Thanks so much Romax for a rewarding experience.
Thought it was a good time whilst convalescing at home, to complete the puzzle caches around Bendigo. This was the second one we completed today along Bendigo Creek. The puzzle has had me stumped for days, and even the clue of the keyword didnt help. Some logical thinking and rearranging at last revealed the answer. I fortunately approached the cache from the correct angle and there it was staring me in the face , certainly didnt want to get any closer to the bee hive. TFTC
8538 Nice puzzle… soon spotted the cool camoed container. Our friend Glyn back in Auckland speaks highly of your work.
Many thanks for the puzzle and cache Romax
Greetings from New Zealand, Cheers YuGeo4.

Found by Mary & David at 1645. A devious puzzle, for which we needed a hint from the Master before we could understand all its intricacies. At GZ we found another excellent example of a Romax cache with virtually undetectable camo. We continue to learn. Our thanks indeed to Romax.

A minor milestone for us - our 100th Puzzle Cache find.
The logs suggested to be wary of errant bees. In fact we should have been wary of errant numbers. After rechecking the balance and then rectifying our second numbers mistake for the day, we were able to bank Play Money as our 100th puzzle cache.
TNLN . . SL . . Thanks for the hunt Romax

Our thanx to Romax yet again for a neat puzzle.
The frog was trying to be famous on 891KHz. He failed. Too many lucky players at the Adelaide Royal Show.
GZ was nearly thwarted again by some bees. What is it with your GZ's today!! Lovely stuff.
Clear skies from TeamAstro.

I was trying to win a prize on a radio quiz in Adelaide while doing this cache. In the end someone else won the prize before I could provide the answer to The Toughest Quiz in Town.
The remaining Romax puzzles have sat taunting me for some time now. With an almighty shove towards solving it from a former finder last weekend today was a good day to pop out and complete the job. A classic Romax camo job - they still feel good to find. TFTC
We had solved nearlly all the Bendigo puzzles for the Flash mob weekend, however too much socialising and not enough caching - so we returned for a quick overnite trip to collect a few.
We had attempted this last night - but for some reason the updated co-ords didn't work on the Garmin - so yep - we were searching the starting co-ords for a good 15mins!
Realised our mistake and returned to the correct GZ this morning- we knew we were at the right spot as the nasty Bee that attacked the Skullracing team was sure out for us also!
After a quick dodge of the bee hole Mrs H had the cache in hand! A nicely camo'ed container & a good challenge for the puzzle!
Many thanks Romax!

#1174 @ 6.45pm. Well it seems that we cannot conduct a caching trip these days without Dad being bitten by a stinging insect - today it was bees! We arrived at GZ to find bees very busy here and although Dad came up with the cache he also came out with 2 bee-stings for his trouble . Nevertheless we really enjoyed the puzzle & GZ. TNLNSL TFTC Romax - thanks for another enjoyable challenge [^]
Our first find fro the day. Enjoyed this puzzle that fell into place easily for us then enjoyed the cache as well, very nicely done.

Easily my favourite cache of the event weekend. The puzzle was easy enough - which is how I like them! Then the fun started.
There was a beehive right at GZ which limited the search a tad, but not too much. After wandering around for a several minutes something caught my eye, and it turned out to be the cache. Another gem from the master craftsman!
Thank you Romax for the pleasure of the find.

We always enjoy a Romax cache and his one was no exception, it took us a little while to sort out the puzzle and this weekend was our first opportunity to look for the cache. Again we were pleasantly surprised by the clever hide, you always seem to come up with new ideas to impress
Thanks for the cache

WOW! The things you think of Max. A very tricky puzzle indeed and we believe we solved it the way you intended because once we had the formula in place it all came together perfectly. TFTHeadace

One find of 60 for the day with my good mate Marty (Quasar3671) and a couple of my kids, Jasmine and James on our second "Big Bendigo Cache Bash...." In town for the events as well of course.
Visited this with C@H and Spladem who we met up with on our travels. They already had it solved, so with 4 sets of eyes at GZ, the find came up in due time. Cheers and thanks Romax for another great puzzle.

Up in Bendigo today for the Flash Mob and Marong meet and greet events. Met up with my mate Blacklegend (Marshy) and cached together for the day; which was rather warm and got progressively humid as well. Met up with C@H and Spladem who had also done the puzzle. Many sets of eyes made light work and the cache was soon found. Thanks for the puzzle and hide.
Grabbed while up from Melbourne for the 2 local events. Spladem and I had a great time doing all these great local caches. TFTC
Found with Blacklegend Quasar3671 and Covert whilst on a puzzle blitzing tour of Bendigo, Thanks Romax for a great cache, and cleaver hide.. dipped GPS TB
3rd find of the day, and 2654th total find at 14:13.
What a cunning cache. We wouldn't have expected anything less from cache master Max!!
Take care though, GZ has a nest of native bees that are really active.
Took: Nothing
Left: Screwdriver
Thanks Romax for the cache
