Found It!A nice little walk in here to an interesting spot I've never been to before. Didn't take me too long to find the cache despite the excellent camo work!TFTC
A fabulous track from the Incinerator A brilliant cache SL, Replaced as found,TFTC fimbulisen
Had some time to spare between departing Crows Nest at 2:30pm and being at Hornsby at 4pm. So a bit of time for some caching then. Checked the map for anything interesting, and the fav points caught my eye, so here I came! And it was worth it. I saw 3 yellow-tailed black cockatoos, a large lizard, and some cool old building remains. I loved the (somewhat more modern) indication that the building may have been part of a piggery. The cache was indeed a decent size, and hidden in very plain sight. Signed the notebook on a random page. There were a few travel bugs but I didn't pick them up this time. Thanks for the cache and the cool hidden location!
Note for access from West St: You can get to the open area below street level by heading towards the southern end of the street. In the reserve you'll see an area used for a community vegetable garden, and a couple of rope swings hanging from the tree. The path down to the open clearing is behind the swings and gardens. The cache is only 5 mins down the trail.
TFTC Thank you for hiding this cache. You have shown us a new place and have helped make geocaching an enjoyable activity.
Found after a long search. Nice, big box and a great camo. Thank you for bringing me here.
Definitely a location we wouldn't have found without geocaching. An interesting bit of history and an excellent cache. Thanks to caches like this we're really enjoying our geocaching tour of Sydney. TFTC fimbulisen, FP!
TFTC. Great hidden gem. Log is a bit damp and almost full, will need replacing soon.
Wow, what a cache, our with batapus and stumbled upon this hidden gem. Even though batapus spotted it, I was still speechless with this cache. We logged it then replaced as found, great job on the camo. TFTC, #191
i see why this cache has so many likes. very cool location and a fun hiding spot!! TFTC
Not ever been here before, but man what a wild ride.Sincerely signed,Two Frat Boys and their Son
Tftc. Would go better off with a clue though. Other than that cache was really cool.!!! #love it!
Visiting this cache after 5 years! Log needs maintenance unfortunately as some slurs have been written on the cover - very funny reading the all the messages in the logbook though! Leaving a trackable here that’s come from Mongolia.
Out for a morning cycle north collecting a few unfound on route. I’ve been past on West St many times but until today never ventured in. Stashed the cycle at the trail head and in I went. Wow what a fantastic site! And a very clever hide. Log book is wonderful. Thanks for placing this cache fimbulisen, definitely worth a fav! #1854
72 favourite points…. I’ll bite. I actually parked closest to this one but had trouble finding the beginning of the path so I actually came out of the gully near here at the end of my caching. I saw a black kitty named liquorice on the street who meowed and flopped over on the grass for pats. He was a very soft kitty. At GZ I was impressed, had a distinct Indiana jones feel to it lol! Have another FP for NOT hiding a mint tin! TFTC
My first cache of the day!
Noticed this was located at some sort of abandoned spot, which is a theme I love and adore with geocaching! Also a good number of fav’s so worth checking out!
Impressive little location and hide! Absolutely insane that this hasn’t gone missing! The muggles in your part of Sydney must be extremely kind! The amount of muggle entries in the logbook probably outweighs the amount of geocachers who have actually signed it! Some very very interesting things that have been written in their too, definitely needs a new logbook as the current one is “full” despite a few skipped pages here and there.
Thanks for the fun! Favourite point from me, because I did like the unique camouflage and the location highlight

Meme28 and I C Nothing are heading off on another geocaching adventure leaving the West and heading into Sydney to explore unfound territory.
Our aim is to find some older caches we wouldn’t be able to find in WA and then anything else that takes our fancy. Today we found your cache and happy to report it was in good condition.

On a geo tour of Sydney with ICNothing. I was chuffed finding this one as we passed a bush turkey foraging. I then nearly fell backwards with a scream as a huge spider came out fro underneath. Cool cache though. FP
Grouink ! The first time I went there I was with my older daughter, then 3 years old ... we came across our first green tree snake and did not know what to think of it... the place has been well cleanned... and I really like the reinforcing rods with piggy ends!
This Dawson's farm has been inspiring the locals as the nearby playground on Dawson Street displays some nice wooden hogs that delighted my daughters when we lived nearby.

Brilliant, thank you. Have been along the creek many times but never knew this was here.
No luck today. The camo must be really good as previous logs say, or it was well hidden in the 1m to high pile of palm fronds! Searched for about 15 minutes and after counting 47 mozzie bites it was time to evacuate the area!
25,401. Found with minniek during a two day visit up to Sydney.
The draw of two Community Celebration Events in two days made us plan a route to attend them both plus knock off our remaining Sydney Local Government Areas for our quest to finish off New South Wales soon. An early afternoon start from Goulburn yesterday and we attended that neat event. After a night in a nearby hotel we hit the streets today ticking off the LGAs. This was a nice quick find in a wonderful location. Signed the log, replaced the cache as found, then headed off to the next one.
Thanks fimbulisen !!

Fitzy_1965 and I decided to head up to Sydney for the night due to a couple of Community Celebration Events on offer.
This morning we headed off into the heat that has been lacking for the past month. I'm sure it must have been 25 by 9.00am and just got hotter as the day went on. Today's aim was to pick up the last few counties we had left to collect in the Inner Sydney region and then end up at the CCE in the afternoon before heading home.
Once we found a suitable parking spot, we headed off from the West St trailhead and soon made our way down to GZ. Lots of rustling in the brush belied several brush turkeys but thankfully no other creepy crawlers made themselves known.
Was a nice quick find at GZ when I just happened to lean on the cache camo. Thanks for bringing us here fimbulisen.

Found it exposed upside down. I have put it in a spot where I think it may have been originally
Think this cache may have gone missing. I found previously, but on a walk this morning, noticed it is gone.
Ist cache in 2 months. I starting to worry that I had lost my caching mojo after the last two I couldn’t find. Very clever cache on a beautiful winters day.
Awesome camo job for this cache. Sort of found by accident as I didn't expect it to be where it was. Favourite point given for this very well camo'd cache. TFTH TFTC TNLN SL Replaced as found ready for the next geo-adventurers. Very well done to the CO for this cache and for bringing me to this location, rich in history.

After completing our weekly swim, this time at Willoughby Leisure Centre, Eagle Eyed Monkey Girl and I walked toward Flatrock Gully for the few caches scattered around, even one over 60 Favo's.
It was an interesting walk and we never realised the depth of this gulley nestled amongst the houses. An according to the documentation it once used to be a tip!
Interesting ruins, and the story behind it. It was not before long that I noticed the excellent camo and the box hiding within.

Love how much thought & effort went into designing the casing for this cache!
Replaced a few surrounding rocks so it's not as exposed - but still very accessible & easy to see once you know where it is!
Careful of jumping bull-ants & spikes on dead Cabbage Tree palm fronds in this area

Such a great Geocache! I couldn’t find it first round but this time I wanted to kick myself for not seeing it earlier!
I loved this cache!!
Unfortunately no trackable in it though.
Loved the camo, tricked me for a second!

This was an amazing spot (found last week). Not only was there history and cool camo, but I saw an echidna! TFTC!
Walking the trail with geodog Zelda today. First one for the day. Took awhile to spot the excellent camo. So obvious yet so hidden. Have a FP. TFTC
An unexpected stop on my way north. Loved the little warm up walk in this reserve! Love a camp like this!

What a cache... hiding in plain sight! Look for something that doesn’t look quite right. Tftc
Camotastic! This cache is a true labour of love. Thank you for all the work that you put into. In addition thanks for bringing me here after 28 years in Sydney!
Went out for a hunt in this park today and weren't as lucky as we hoped so this last one saved our day. And what a nice historical site!
Outstanding location and camo!
Definitely one of our favorites.

Beautiful spot! Finding abandoned ruins is a pet hobby of mine so I was amazed to see one so close. "Fatty" Dawson lived in a pretty secluded place. Very impressed with the camo.
My first geocache find - exciting! To be honest though, my friend found it first, then gave me some clues and only then I found it. Well done!
This is one of the highlights of the day. Really enjoyed the walk and the nature so close to the city. This one was really well camoed. Both Anominous Sign and I missed it at the beginning. Thanks for the cache!
Loved the trails, loved the history and loved the Camo. Took us a while to spot until taking a step back and having another look. TFTC!
A very good hide. No snakes today. We have orienteered past here but never stopped to find out its history. Thanks for bringing us down to this spot and explaining what the ruins were. Why here?
Well damn! Just as a find the cache and remove the camo there's a green snake lying on top of the box and not a fake one either! :O :O :O Basically almost backflipped away from the cache!
Snakey slithered off into the undergrowth and I was free to log the cache with a heart rate of about 200 hahaa.

DNF due to time pressure and unease at this sign! But what a stunning cache! Have lived in the area a decade and never knew this was here.
Found with Poppy John. Great hide. SL Took TB and key ring. Left toy key. TFTC

Feeling bored today and up for a bit of a walk, we chose some short medium terrain walks in completely new areas weve never been, and were pleasantly surprised by the scenery and finds.
As my luck would have it, phone goes dead about 200m from cache....
Found the ruins without any trouble, stood back with clue in memory and BINGO

This is why we go geocaching. The start of a very enjoyable walk. Thanks for the history. When a young family passed by amazed at the ruins I managed pass the knowledge I had just read in the cache description with out the need to look at my phone. They were impressed!
Brilliant camo. Fav. Point from us.

What a great cache! It's been a while since we've been on the caching trail and this was a perfect one to re-ignite our enthusiasm. "Sen-sational", I believe was the immediate response upon discovery. TFTC
Found with TOMBI! and grandson doing s dsytrip to Sydney to get some extra favorite pionts to boost our standing on the leaderboard and get a souvenir. We managed to find 14 caches for the day. Nice cache deserving another FP. TFTC fimbulisen

Found with BillHill531 and my youngest son on a trip to Sydney for some points to reach 500 for the last souvenir. We were aiming for 25-50 point caches and achieved our goal just in time before dark, then found two extras. We also stopped for an hour at the new official Lego store in Bondi. A great day with 14 caches found and no DNFs.
Our third stop. Very thankful of the trailhead waypoint. Nice walk in. Cool area and hide. Favourite point for the complete package.
