Out having an afternoon drive in the sun and ended up in this wee beautiful village. After having a spot of afternoon tea we had a look to see if there were any caches nearby and saw this one! Nearly went past the wee lane but saw it just in time. A nice find! TFTC
Out for a drive with Geo wife. Had afternoon tea at Cassandra's whilst stopped. Tftc
First cache of the day whilst out with JPitt5 walking the Writer’s Way. A lovely little hide down a nice little path. Just be careful of dog poo bags at head height when you bend down to retrieve the cache. Thanks for the cache.
Marshall’s Geelong found this cache today,

We came to the village on a mission to visit Jane Austins house but would you believe it, it was closed early due to high winds and power cuts! A short walk down a very muddy path for a quick find. TFTC.
Nice hiding during a not very nice wet day. Love Jane Austen and love Chawton...took a TB hoping to continue it's journey very soon!
Nice quick find after a visit to the Jane Austen House and some lovely scones at Cassandra’s Cup with Grumpy Geo-Sis who does not approve of Geocaching.
Coordinates were a bit out according to my phone but the hint was good so it was an easy find. Thanks for the cache
Visiting Jane Austen's house on her birthday, so had to pick up some local caches. Nice hide, everything dry inside despite the mud everywhere. TFTC
A quick find here with much interest from the nearby residents.

What a horrible day for caching, but as I was here to visit Chawton House it was a must to find at least one. Took a short walk in the rain, searched to no avail and believed it had gone, but taking one more look there it was - nicely hidden. Managed to sign the log despite the rain, although not the clearest entry. Thanks
Stopped off on way home from working in Alton.
Nice quick find thanks to hint.
Cheers for the cache
