We, like previous cachers here didn't have any luck coming up with the goods. I must admit it was a bit of a half hearted attempt though because of the previous DNF's by some experienced cachers.
Thanks anyway corikra[^]

I would say this is no longer here. 4 of us looked up, down, in, out but nothing. Great area.
No one around when I turned up so I had time to have a good look and feel around, lying down, climbing up, contorted around.... checked stuff away from the wheel but no luck for me.
This one defeated us although we had plenty of time to explore without interruption. I'd prefer to say we have missed it rather than conclude it wasn't there at this stage. All the best to the next hopeful finders.
Drive up the gorge on a rainy day. Too late in the day to catch the rafts but we did enjoy the scenery. Found it with *Filip*
Thanks for the hide

Surprisingly this is our first visit to this area, a very good day exploring, I think there’ll be return trip. Easy find by Geoson, the keen eye’s of youth. TNLN, TFTC.
ahhhh, how i hate micro magnetic caches lol
few muggles but easy to pretend that we were looking at the Pelton wheel

Huge place. Sad that they destroyed the waterfall because of 7 Megawatt...

[blue]dazzpete's[/blue] Mission [red]Humid[/red]: [u]Day Two[/u]
We had needed to get out of town for some time, both to get away from work and to extend our geocCaching Streak, and a couple of weeks of good weather had tempted us to book a site and head North to Mission Beach.
End of the road and even out here we had to contend with muggles! We searched everywhere and then found it in the last place it could be!

Spent a while looking all over this object for the cache and we were about to give up when Mrs H spotted another likely hiding place. Bingo!

Well this nearly was a DNF but after much searching & scratching of head – the other half spotted an odd unit over the fence – couldn’t reach so went back to car for bush walking extending stick to retrieve unit – once turned over we realized it was cache – grabbed & signed log & placed it where I would expect to find the cache - TFTC / SL
This is the 2nd last find for the day. After a bit of searching Bear came up trumps with the cache. Thanks for this cache it was a great drive to the end of the road. Cache is all good .
# 690 The Monkeys and Champs have never been Campers, but with boss lady working up to Christmas and a severe lack of caches to find in the immediate area, it was decided to go for the first of what will likely become a regular C+2M CampCaching Expedition. With tent and three bikes in the back, we travel when and where we like and find food (or McSubstitute) where we can.
Day 1/4 Cache 10/47
Lots of work going on here with hardhat muggles everywhere. Spent a lot of time staring at the info boards waiting for an opportunity to grab the cache.

Found this one in a crafty spot,
though it easy enough to find,
once I read the clue.
The cache is in perfect condition.
Watch out for the small wasp's nest near the cache.

Thanks for the cache.
After a pleasant, early morning drive to the GZ the cache was located.
It was reassuring to read "braelair's" comment, because we did spend an amount of time searching for cache before it was discovered.
Plenty of March Flies at present, so come armed with some repellant or suffer the consequences.
Thanks corikra for the cache. TNLN.

After some correspondence with the cache owner I had another look today, narrowing my search. After another 30 minutes of 'very' detailed searching ..... BINGO, chalk up another find with the cache intact and ready to return to action.
Using the bracketing method, cache replaced in a slightly more 'accessible' spot, still right at GZ. After this, Corikra will not have to make a maintenance trip after all. Sadly the raft spotting cache couldn't be located .....

There are not too many spots on that turbine wheel where you could hide a cache. I know that braelair is pretty experienced and very persistent when he tries to find a cache . If he didn't succeed I'm pretty sure it's gone. Will check as soon as possible.
Same result as lelebebbel . Had a long look for this one to no avail. Will send some photos of the likely sites to Corikra for me to recheck next week.
The only find after 3 other DNFs on the way there. Nice hunk of metal, shame it has killed the waterfall
TNLN (really?)
Thanks

First to attempt this one in a while..
I looked around for half an hour around the turbine wheel and the fences but no luck!

Hi all,
This one was found by Dan and Val of Danielc group. Arrived at site and got out of the car with clip-board in hand to be accosted by a car load of tourists wanting to know how to get to the cable-car. When I explained that it was for the power company only they were very disappointed and considered that they had driven all the way for nothing. They then wanted to know the reason for the clip-board so I explained the sport to them. They seemed very impressed with the idea especially when I pointed out that geocaching often led to sites of considerable interest that would otherwise be missed. I think most would have liked to stay ;and take part in the hunt, but the driver was impatient and so they left. We then found the cache after a fair search. Signed the log. No swaps. Thanks for the cache
Cheers, and Good Hunting!

This was also the last find for us today but saw some wonderful large butterflies just inside the power station fence. Thanks for bringing us to the end of the road.
Last find for the day. Doh!! We were pipped at the post for FTF[:p] That's alright it was still good to get up to the top of Tully Gorge again. Bumblebee found the cache and signed the log while Ballbag kept watch for wasps.
