14-Oct-14
This cache hasn't been found since March 14 even though 5 people have looked for it. Might be time for the owner to have a look and make sure it is still there.

Had a good look but was disheartened by all the previous DNFs. We now join the list

Not sure if my coordinates were off or not, or if the new fence was the problem. This one might need a check over to see if the council has affected it.

09-Aug-14
Worked out the co-ordinates, went for a drive, but when i got there, the sand dunes were bare. I, like Kevvy, am frustrated! This is my 5th DNF for the morning. Not a good caching day for me Sad

Didn't Find It!! Sad
I thought the hard work was maybe done by solving the puzzle, but then you have to find a camoed micro stuffed in a piece of scrub while hanging around the sand dunes looking like a potential peeping tom.
I couldn't find this and getting a little frustrated looking for this type of cache.
Any chance of a clue from CO?

With only a few days left of our visit to Perth, we decided to head north for the day.
Geo-wife solved this puzzle a few months ago, and wanted a smiley for her effort.
A short stroll, and a quick find. Signed and replaced.
Many thanks for the hunt today, The Machman.

Firat for the day tft,

Worked out the puzzle a few weeks ago and decided today was the day to go collect, pulled out the trusty but rusty geo bike and navigate a course with a few additional way points on me way. Arrived at gz just as the temp was pushing 32. Quickly found the rusty but trusty cache and signed the log.

What to do next a nice cooling swim the ocean before the long ride home.

Bring on the summer

Lots of sand, sea and surfers. First attempt and will be back.

08-Oct-13
Have been in these northern reaches for a few days, but heading home today with long ago solved puzzle finding being the priority.

This was another nice walk along the coastal streches, with doing a loop walk along the beach back to the car. Quickly found the unusual cammo. The bag is not sealing properly but it seems to be holding its own. Log ok, other than a little stained, but quite dry.

Thanks for the fun puzzle and the cache The Machman.

TFTF. A cache in the dune that doesn't encourage people to wreck the dunes in attempts to find. Well done.

Didn't take too long to locate.

Would suggest some maintenance, maybe a water tight bottle would be in order. The bag will not seal properly and moisture is getting into the mint tin and as a result the log book was a little damp.

Nice easy find on a day like today, poor weather meant no muggles.

Being surrounded by POMS at work, this brought back many childhood memories for the imports that now call Australia home.

Only had to turn to Encyclopaedia Googletanica the once to get one phrase that caused commotion amongst those with childhood memories.

At the GZ, the GPS lead us right to the spot, but some very cursory searches and sights of the kite surfers near by lead most of the searchers off onto the beach proper. The cache was well hidden and if not for the feel of plastic, would never have been found by sight alone. A great hide from the Machman again.

Solved months ago. Was in the area chasing munzee eggs so dropped in for a search. Gave up after 10 min. Plenty of saltbush and sand, but no cache could I see

Stopped for a quick ride through this area before driving further north. Plenty of caches disabled and others presumed missing. Great to be able to make a quick find here. Thanks The Machman.

In my infinite wisdom I decided to go and clean up some of the mystery caches located up this way that I had previously solved. This was the last one on my list and with 1 DNF and 2 archived caches I was getting a little tetchy(shame I didn't find out until they were archived until I was nearly at their respective GZs). The last thing I really needed to deal with was a tricky Machman hide.

The caching gods must have finally taken pity on me as this one was a nice and easy find. You get a favourite point for making it a straight forward find (for once Smile

Shame. We will try again another day. Starting to have too many early morning muggles

We have struggled with machman cachs before, but not this tim. Good puzzle, easy find. You are our nemesis no more machman.

26-Dec-11
This was a return visit to locate the cache as when we last visited several months ago it had either been muggled or dislodged in the sand. Easy find today though.

Solved the puzzle ages ago. Stopped by on the way home from an orienteering event up north. SL TFTC

We LOVE Captain Pugwash and loved this cache TFTH

02-Aug-11
After a couple of DNF's I popped by to check up on it, think it's blown away in the wind.

I have replaced it with a new cache today, of a more traditional nature.

Still within arms reach of the path.

Another puzzle that we had solved some time ago and was on our 'to do list'. One of several we attempted today but this was the only one where we weren't rewarded. We were even with a previous finder who noted the cache wasn't where they had found it.

23-Jun-11
No trouble working out the co-ords but couldn't find the right 'angle' to see the cache clearly. Had to phone a friend, thanks FelixII. SL TFTC Machman.

Thanks, Robmc.

Rob and I came up empty handed here though I now believe I know what we were looking for here.

What a beautiful day it was at the beach late this afternoon. So peaceful. We searched and almost gave up before checking the hint and logs. Went straight back and found it.NB it is reachable without crossing the fence or wrecking the place! I think this is our first Machman, but will be back to try some more. Love Captain P.We give it a favourite because the place is so nice and such a clever cache.

Quick find for the day before Mrs Felix had to go to nightshift. Pretty glad R0gue found this a few weeks ago to make it easier for us to find. Good timing. We decided to go out chasing down some GCA gnomes and moveable caches too. Think we learnt something todayabout The Machman Hmm.!

I almost gave up on this one!

I had solved the puzzle a long time ago, and was looking forward to coming out here and finding the cache. I searched for a while in the area, then went back and read the hint. This gave me a good idea of what I thought I was looking for, but after scouring the search area again, I still didn't find the cache. So I went back and read all the logs, and decided that it was something different to what I had thought, so re-thought my strategy, and searched everywhere, at all levels, and looking for any object at all. But still nothing eventuated.

I was about to phone a friend, but my phone was having trouble getting a signal to send the message, and it was while I was doing this that I spotted a very small piece of the cache, which was well covered in sand since the last finder. So, I was very very happy to finally find the cache and head back. Luckily it was a quiet afternoon at the beach, and I only saw one other person while I was searching.

Thanks for the puzzle and the cache Machman!

It was a blistering day when I was there. The sand was hot and so were the barnacles! Clear skies and thanx for the puzzle and fun from TeamAstro.

Loved the little puzzle. Reminded me of my childhood and watching ol' Cap'n Pugwash when I was a wee nipper!!!
Took a bit of a search until I started to think more of the natural surroundings. A clever hide indeed!
Thanks to Machman for the puzzle and the cache.

I had no trouble solving this when it first got published but had to wait until today to actually get it. I nearly gave up looking as there were too many bees on the small flowers but as I was about to do so saw the cache and managed to not annoy the bees recovering the cache.

Log soon signed. Thanks for the cache.
