Coords out a fair bit, got yelled at by a farmer, saw some great swallows nests.
Great day out grabbing some caches with DSD.
Felt like we had the universe to ourselves and banged around some great forestry roads.
A number of caches had accrued some moisture and a few seem to have suffered from road works. Everything else was super duper

Cake or pie? I can tell a lot about you by which one you pick. It may seem silly, but cake people and pie people are really different. I know which one I hope you are, but that's not for me to decide. So, what is it? Cake or pie?
He walked down the steps from the train station in a bit of a hurry knowing the secrets in the briefcase must be secured as quickly as possible. Bounding down the steps, he heard something behind him and quickly turned in a panic. There was nobody there but a pair of old worn-out shoes were placed neatly on the steps he had just come down. Had he past them without seeing them? It didn't seem possible. He was about to turn and be on his way when a deep chill filled his body.
Turning away from the ledge, he started slowly down the mountain, deciding that he would, that very night, satisfy his curiosity about the man-house. In the meantime, he would go down into the canyon and get a cool drink, after which he would visit some berry patches just over the ridge, and explore among the foothills a bit before his nap-time, which always came just after the sun had walked past the middle of the sky. At that period of the day the sun’s warm rays seemed to cast a sleepy spell over the silent mountainside, so all of the animals, with one accord, had decided it should be the hour for their mid-day sleep.
Sleep deprivation causes all sorts of challenges and problems. When one doesn’t get enough sleep one’s mind doesn’t work clearly. Studies have shown that after staying awake for 24 hours one’s ability to do simple math is greatly impaired. Driving tired has been shown to be as bad as driving drunk. Moods change, depression, anxiety, and mania can be induced by lack of sleep. As much as people try to do without enough sleep it is a wonder more crazy things don’t happen in this world.
Spotted quickly but my knees were complaining when I crawled in to sign the log. TFTC.
Found with Joolay on a roadtrip to Forbes. What a beautiful day to be out caching. Thanks for hiding this cache wbfoto (adopted by Throsbyonchurch)
Well that was energetic. GPS bounced all over the place putting me down when I needed to be up. But got there in the end.
On a mini tour heading west with Kittykatch. Wonderful weather to be outside enjoying.

The things I will do for a cache.... that was unpleasant for me as I faced some fears. I was determined to get this one, and I was triumphant! Wouldn't have found it without the hint. Thanks for a challenge!

Good fun!! We found it easily, GeoSon (6yo) was a bit worried about the drop off, it sure is a long way down. We were able to get to GZ safely though. Thanks!
Found this after looking in all the wrong places, doh! Thanks for this cache! : )
We are on our way home to Melbourne after visiting family in QLD over the Christmas period. Stayed at caravan park in Forbes for an overnight rest stop and now we are on the road again enroute to visit friends in Goulburn.
Whilst the rest of the OSHFAM clan stayed in the car and caravan, geo mum goes to find this one alone. It’s stinking hot outside a cool 39 deg.
I make my way over to the GZ, sliding down the embankment. I’m on alert for snakes here as we have already encountered a brown snake on the side of the road yesterday.
The way into GZ is dangerous. I would not recommended this for children. With the slope and not much steady space for your feet, one wrong move or loss of balance, and you could find yourself 7 metres below.
The creek/river bed was bone dry.
I startled 2 sheep that were having a rest below in the shade. They ran off into the dry hot paddock.
I make the find here, crawling on my hands and knees to the cache.
Cache and logbook in good condition with plenty of blank space left for others to sign for a very long time.
I carefully make my way back to the car, scrambling back up the embankment, sliding back down a few times before getting some grip on the grass.
Nearing the car, the sheep are still feeling startled and get out of the paddock onto the road but luckily safely making their way into a paddock across the road.

Found quickly. SL and returned cache to its hide'y hole. I stood on the bridge wondering how we were going to get to this cache. I had an idea, but I'm glad I didn't follow through with it. Crossing to the otherside I saw a better avenue. *Little Kitten* and I went to the bridges edge *Little Kitten* went for the retrieve. It is not much fun getting older, the height from up here wasn't scary but was giving me heart pulpitations and adrenalin rushes especially when *Little Kitten* was walking along the bricks. Its hard to imagine this river in flood as it was bone dry today, no water to be seen, not even a drop. But as well all know, floods happen.
**The Day**
OCW *Mr ToC*, *Little Kitten* and *DustyJapserJet* for a quick weekend caching and cache maintenance, and WOW, what a weekend it was - Absolutely AMAZING !!! We had a fantasic time. A bit sunburnt [:o)] on the drivers side arm, tired, exercised and very happy from a journying through some amazing countryside. We found a bunny among bricks beside a cache , sheep running loose outside fencelines, fortunely No snakes . A hot day but a nice breeze is blowing.

It's the weekend and the weather is fine, so Touchstone7 and I decided a trip outside Canberra was in order. Today we headed back, but were determined to take the scenic route and collect a few caches along the way.
Found in good condition with Genghicat on the way home to Canberra after exploring Cowra and it's surrounds. Genghicat sat on the bank, knuckles showing white with fear. Heights is not his thing, so in I crawled and just to freak him out climbed down the concrete blocks to the stream below. ...well part of that is true but I'm not saying which part. Lol pretty little spot. Nice to stop by the stream. Tftc
The wife and I just love going to rodeos, we have been to quite a few, including out at Birdsville.
Cache 2523 on 6/5/17
SpecimenX and I headed out on a geocaching mission to Cowra today. We planned to get to Grenfell and Young as well, but caching took longer than we thought - the GPS was also slow to point the right direction, maybe because of the clouds. Around 35 finds and 8 DNFs for the day (a few too many DNFs sadly). Thanks to SpecimenX for a fun day and a few exciting memories to keep! We signed with Penn (pen) or Teller (stamp) depending if the log was big enough.
16th cache for the day, as we hit the dirt roads on our way to Cowra. It is a steep drop-off to get under the bridge but manageable. Very glad to get 17 months of unlove on this one! TFTC

After a bit of a geo hiatus, it was great to get out of the Can and set off for a geomission to Cowra with AngelG27. We had a great day collecting the caches as we went. A bit of a downer was the high number of DNF's due to missing containers, but the highlight of the day was seeing a Wedge-tailed eagle flying just over our car-awesome sight!
Onto the cache...
We were wondering if the cache was still going to be here given the length of time it hasn't been found so we thought we'd try our luck. We wandered down and then I carefully made my way under and there it was-high and dry! Signed log and left a TB before heading off for more.
Thanks for the hide, wbfoto

After being couped up at home for over a week due to an ugly illness, cabin fever was setting in and I needed out for the day.
I decided to hit the country roads and head north for a while before coming back south. I had a very enjoyable day out along the dirt roads exploring the country side. Lots of nice areas and caches to make things even better
I was a bit weiry about doing this one as I was caching on my own. However I put my big girls shoes on and off I went. Started at the wrong level before correcting myself. Soon had cache in hand nice and quickly, very happy to get a smiley here
Thanks wbfoto for placing these caches, lovely area especially on a day like today.

All looks new and no loose rocks around. Last find was nearly a year ago, disappointing not to find but very nice spot. Also not sure about climbing over other peoples fences.......
Miss Stormcatcher and Mrs M did the work on this one. Started off at wrong level but soon worked out where we needed to be. Avoided all the insect hazards and soon had the cache. Wouldn't want to fall off here now. TFTC
Found on a day out with the Stormcatchers. The male members stood back and watched the female members do all the hard work in locating the cache. TFTC
Out on special caching run with LPUD to make my 150th and a special pick up.
Spied GZ and found where the cache would be however the whole area has numerous wasp nests, we were not game to risk the stinging

Well, we did find it after jumping the guard rail.
However, the cache has guardions and lots of them.
There were dozens of mud wasp hives
Didn't fancy getting multiple stings way out here.

Great spot if your a mud wasp. Gazillion nests. One more cache on the georide. Took a key ring. Left a soldier. TFTC
The first time around this morning I didn't come up with the goods. We came back an hour later (after refuelling with breakfast) and I sent Spock1967 in to do the hard yards. He didn't come out empty handed (must have been the breaky). TFTC
As we had no signal on iPads this was impossible so we retreated to find some signal and write down some coords for the gps
With coords in hand we fired again and bingo cache was in hand even after cracking my head, being tall isn't always a good thing
Thanks didn't mind this one at all but if you don't have gps you will find this area a bit tricky

My turn to scramble around for this one. Too hard on the way in with the camper trailer attached. Pretty spot, would be nice to chill out by the river for a while. Watch the geokiddies on this one.
Left this one to geohubby who is sure footed, very soon heard the call, found it! Tftc
Found on a run out this way with Sol de lune. This one had us stumped for a while. We went to the wrong spot of the bridge at start, but then we realised where it actually was. Then we went back up to that spot, where Sol went and got the cache. Good hide, just be careful. Aparently this river was flooded really high once when Sol was here. Took TB. TFTC wbfoto!
Ok....we went too far under to start with, but while looking around, we notice the other area. So it was back up.....along....and under. The hint then came to the fore and the cache was soon spotted and claimed. And yep, just watch those backward steps......one too many and things could end in tears........Grabbed a TB to move on.
Thanks wbfofo....another one for the day

Last time we were out this way was 12 months ago and the bridge was out. It is good to see that they have finally reopened the bridge.
A nice sunny autumn day for a drive from Cowra to grab this one. Nice easy find once GZ was accessed.

1894.Found by baby&Mrs gopher at 1215.We love our Rodeo 4x4 as well.It has taken us to caches in every state and some of the nearby islands as well.Had a bit of difficulty with finding this one as the body just doesn't lend itself to these confined spots. Had lunch as well at the end of the runway.SL visited CacheMover coin Tnx wbfoto
We both got under to look for this but no joy. Perhaps we were looking too far south? Anyway, will be back up here later in the year so will try again. Thanks.
Its good to see the road open again and not have to use the detour they had in place anymore.
Nice easy find in the end but be careful getting in and out of GZ.

The bridge is now open. they are still poking around underneath fixing fences and doing bits n peaces so wont replace cache just yet but it wont be long before I do.
Getting close now one side of the bridge actually has a road connected to it. its only been a year???
Well it may seem hard to believe but this bridge is still out. they are working on it but I would have to say its not even half way yet. I have a new Rodeo themed cache ready to go as soon as it is finished.
the bridge that this cache is under is still out of action. they have started on it but it has been slow going. GZ is a construction site at the moment. this cache will be replaced as soon as it is safe to do so.
flood waters got this one.. will have to wait till the bridge is rebuilt before I can make active again.
2995 - Continued on a run north-ish of Yass today...
Stopped and climbed down to GZ - a quick search revealed the cache in a nice little hidey hole - thanks wbfoto !!

Found on Albida's group cache run. Others had done it before so just me to find, with some guidance from Albida. Thanks.
Another of today's bridge caches. Not too hard to find this one, if you stand in the right spot, there is no way of not seeing it. Thanks.

Third in the series. This time blackbunny didnt have a trouble showing where gz was. I heard about the story of him falling down the bank and can say geez lucky he didnt really hurt himself. Found quickly by a lovely flowing stream, getting dark by now so lucky I got this one before dark. Cache is very well stocked well done and TFTC
Great trad spot for a cache ! if it ever gets wet there will be major downstream problems ! Audrey and Pop hopped out of the car but Mr Router went down for the find the cache left travel bug, a boomerang , thanx for this great series of caches.
With Black Bunny pointing the way I made the grab at GZ for the find. SL TFTC
Rated: for Overall Experience
Speaking from first hand experience, this one should not be attempted at night.
The GPS wasn't in a good mood, apparently, so Mr Bunny spent some time crawling over a very interesting pile of wired rocks with no result, apart from a few scratches, and wet knees. We widened the search, and found what looked like a most suitable area for a cache, reaching there without major mishap.
Mr Bunny opted for the low, whilst Mrs Bunny did her famous mountain climbing impression.
After quite a bit of hunting, peering, torch shining, and feeling around, Mrs Bunny spotted the cache. Then Mr Bunny signed the log and took the FTF package (thanks WPFOTO!), whilst Mrs Bunny just 'hung' around, waiting - but not falling. When all was put back neatly, we negoiated the steep bank again - the short way this time! - and returned to the car.
Thank you for the lovely presents! We left a couple of pathtags, and an antique bread token. I'm sorry we didn't think to bring a travel bug or two, but we'll remember this spot for the next time we're passing this way.
Mr Bunny will load a photograph as soon as he gets it off his phone.
This was a real adventure at night, and, whilst chilly, it was a lot of fun. We recommend this cache to others - but try it in daylight, and keep the kids on a leash.
