This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. This cache has been a lot of fun for me and many others. It is in a lovely spot.

Unfortunately finders let the placement drift, and then it gets reported missing when it has just drifted.

Sadly I am unable to maintain this cache now.

DNF for this one

The GPS kept jumping about - only got to within a few metres and there were so many possible hiding spots! Tried hard but to no avail! Thanks for bring me here.

A quick find here by the Moose. Cords were spot on, the GPS saying 0m. What a great spot, looking at the satellite map on the app was cool, with the shadows of the Catalinas on the ground. Thanks for the hide and bringing us here.

Spent about 15mins looking, but no luck. Nice quiet area, but after looking for that long I felt conspicuous (and the people I was with were getting annoyed) so I had to leave this as a DNF. Hope the next finder has better luck, I'm sure we would have found it given enough time.

Kids had load of fun

Nice hiding spot! This took us a little while to spot as it’s well hidden. Found BFE style on the occasion of our first wedding anniversary. Took swag left swag. TFTC

We put it back exactly where we found it.

In Bowen for a few days. This is the first geocache of our visit. Great display.

A little tricky thanks

Aussie Day Trek in Bowen. Love the hide and it took us a while to locate. Interesting history about these flying boats and their use during and after the war. TFTC.

Ahh, catalina!!! this GZ has some hides! Don't know why we thought to look where we did but eureka! the cache was there. Some great history here, the USS Lexington must be an amazing piece of work. TFTC HDSpringer.

Cache is still safe after cyclone Debbie try to come here earlier but the helicopters were taking off near so the rods were closed.

Today saabfahrer and me visited Catalina and enjoyed the view of tje beach and sea. Tftc

Eremitgth and me were in Catalina today and it was really nice. We found this Cache of course. Thank you for hiding it!

Tftc woohoo this was the last cache we needed to complete Bowen ( well the walk to ones... Not boat ones). It has been our nemesis on 2 or 3 northern holidays. Happy smiles for us.

An interesting place. Our father flew flying boats during WWII. He would have enjoyed it.
Our first impression was oh no, so man options but then we got lucky and spotted a small piece of it.

Our first cache in Bowen - it took awhile but finally located what we were looking for... T4TC:)

A bit of looking and reading the plaques and things, had to think where would I hide a small and not a nano. Bingo got it. What a great view and piece of history, thanks for the cache.
