Cache is under a rock, just below the road bed, nestled by the ‘axle’ at the bottom of the girder. Thanks skindo!
Found towards the end of an epic geotrip with BFG. Thanks for placing this all these years ago Skindo!
I am regretfully archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in the last reviewer note.
Sadly another DNF. References previously talk about replaced somewhere else. Not sure where. Mystery
It is Saturday and I have teamed up with Scoria a spot of caching for the day when we left the weather wasn't looking to good it like it was going to rain heavy but as we headed south it clear up so the rain coats were not needed
As noted below Scoria needed collect 17 for this month so hopefully to will finish that goal off me on the other hand I'm just out to get some caches that a further afield than what it is realist for me to get just one caches to fill in a missing dot on my calendar matrix
No problems in NOT finding this caches
Thanks for the cache

I'm on a mission to pad out each of my monthly find statistics to a minimum of 100 this year in order to claim a series of challenges. Only needed 17 more for June so I teamed up with D6NZ and we headed out toward Pahiatua. Our planned route was slightly revised with an earlier route being cut short. Rather than cleaning up Pahiatua we elected to move more out toward the coast and tackle a loop road.
Had no luck spotting this one and noted the previous logged entry was also a DNF so we moved on.

No luck with this one. One of the few DNF's today. I looked around above and below the end of the bridge. Nothing obviously magnetic attached there. The most recent log suggested it had lost its magnetic nature and had been placed somewhere better. The best place to hide it would have been in my hands. Not sure where it was hidden as I poked my hands into all sorts of places on and below the structure. Suspect if its still there its moved a bit. Another time it seems.
On a Monday afternoon roady to get a few North Wairarapa caches Cache has Lost its magnetic ?? Left in a better place.

Yay! Been here before in 2015 with no luck. But dillydallying around the Wairarapa picking up puzzles and traditionals. Not well planned and realise we will have to revisit many roads to get puzzles we had not solved. However this traditional helps keep us happy. A quick and easy find today. TFTC
No luck with this one. Three of us searched and just couldn't see anything!
I was sent to Wellington for work on Friday and as it was Friday decided to take the weekend to drive home to Auckland.
This took quite a while to spot, anf got quite a few strange looks from the locals, but none of them stopped to question me, eventually spotted it, but couldnt reach it from above, so scrambled down the bank and got hold of it another way, unfortunatley the log was too wet to sign.

came here years ago pleased to find it this time nice and easy cache quite wet cleaned it out and attempted to dry it
I had driven over this impressive structure a few minutes earlier without realising there was a cache there. After spending a few minutes searching for a cache in terms of the hint, I noticed a different type of hide. Reading through the previous logs has enabled me to understand the history of this cache. Nice work by the Seagnoid.
Wbond1116 and Wbond-Jnr went on another day trip to Wairarapa to try to get 100 caches. It rained most of the day
The great news is that we got 101 !!!
Many of these were care of GeocahersInNZ infamous 60 between Eketahuna and Pahiatua. Thanks for this series - we are each giving a Favourite for the first and last in the series to say thanks! Long may this series continue. A number of the logs had become paper mache, so we replaced these for you.
Several others care of Skindo, Wascox and Yeetrees - thanks also for the caches you place out for our enjoyment.
Some of the caches we logged with both our names, however to save your logs we simply placed "Wbond x 2" on many. We trust this is ok.

Out on a day caching trip to the Wairarapa doing a cache trail along a back-road between Eketahuna and Pahiatua. The wind blew and the rain fell in sudden near-horizontal downpours, not exactly the weather we were hoping for.
Hadn't read the logs so was a bit of a surprise to find a container that didn't match the description or the hint. Thankfully it was an easy find. TFTC skindo.

Finding caches on way to catch ferry sometime this week. Found most of them between or in showers.TFTC
Not what we were expecting. Could nt reach from top. No magnetic container. .. just a plastic one - guessing the original fell in the river? Tftc I think we crossed the bridge about 4 times on our travels today as there was no cell coverage do we got a bit mixed up.
A really enjoyable day with a few finds bewteen Palmerston North and Piahatua to get to the start line of the power trail to Eketahuna. Mannaged to find them all, ticking off 89 caches in about 5 hours. Thanks for the placements, certainly bigger caches than on many power trails I've seen.
Completed a "100 in 24hours" mission on the various road between Pahiatua and Eketahuna with Tommygun9 and Stardust 718. TFTC
So happy to get exactly 100 in February that, along with AtomsNZ and Stardust 718, I went out to get exactly 100 in just one day! 100% find rate too!
Great drive around the Wairarapa on a beautiful day.
Cool bridge!

7 of 100 for today around the back of Pahiatua and Eketahuna. I set off early with tommygun9 and AtomsNZ to achieve our record number of finds in a day (previous records were in the 20's) and start to make a small dent in all the Wairarapa caches. So pleased to find every single cache we looked for. We found the cache to not be magnetic as per the hint and was in fact a 200ml sistema.
Found while out for a late afternoon raid on the Wairarappa with the Mangaone Valley power trail as my primary objective. Not the best of days to be out weather-wise but it was nice to check out a few more of the back roads.
Thankfully a quick find as it had just started raining again.

Caching around the back roads of Pahiatua, Eketahuna nd Mangatainoka.
Into skindo and GeocachingNZ territory myself and nightowl19 went and 107 was the final score

#7164. By far the best blackberries of our Manawatu / Wairarapa long weekend. Interesting bridge; good to have a cache here. TFTC.
It is a cool bridge and deserving a cache. StreetWalker's mind was not on task and he was busy scoffing the blackberries, leaving me to search, but I was too incompetent so he had to do it himself in the end.
I think the hint is only relevant for geo-orangutans. TFTC.

Headed out on the first flight to Wellington Saturday morning with FMZ and Lostcourse. Relocating a vehicle back to Auckland meant we had a big caching road trip ahead of us...! We headed back through the Wairarapa towards Napier, clocking up the numbers through skindo land. Sorry for the copy/paste log as its now all abit of a blur having cached for 36 hours with only a few short naps in between. Enjoyed the drive through these rough and winding gravel roads and saw alot of interesting sights.
36 hours, 1,200km, & 315 finds made for an epic adventure! Many thanks for the cache and the perfect excuse to make a weekend of it!

Headed down to Wellington for a fly-down-drive-back-caching weekend with mike-miss and Lostcourse - basically a caching binge drive back to Auckland, caching under the moniker "Team F.M.L." We headed out of Wellington as quickly as possible to get some serious caching done in the Wairarapa and Hawkes Bay before heading back to Auckland. Apologies for the copy/paste log, but we found >310 caches in 36 hours and for many it's hard to remember specific details. We headed through a bunch of interesting winding back roads and saw a lot of beautiful sights and historic spots. We shared the driving and stopped for about an hour to catch some shut eye in Pongaroa before continuing, caching all the way. Saturday was my biggest caching day ever, and this Feb, after just the first 36 hours, is already my biggest month ever. TFTC!!!
Took the first flight down to Wellington on Saturday for a fly-down-drive-back-caching weekend with mike-miss and FMZ - basically a caching raid across the North Island.Team FML! for the win! We headed out of Wellington making a beeline for the Wairarapa and Hawkes Bay before venturing back to Auckland. We headed through a bunch of interesting winding back roads and saw a lot of beautiful sights and historic spots that only geocaching could have bought us too. We shared the duties around and took a few micro naps when ever prudent. Saturday was my biggest caching day ever, and this February, is easily my biggest month ever. The hint was a bit misleading here, I think the hide may have changed. Spotted something so climbed down for a closer look...got it! Cheers for the cache placement!
Day 2 of our weekend out caching. First time ive been down in the wairarapa area, got around 100 over 2 days, thanks Skindo.
Cleaned out a very wet container, placed all soggy logs in one bag and added a new log and bag so maintenance completed TFTC.
Looking, as you do, for the invisible forces, we were disappointed. We couldn't detect the silent pull once we had done much praying, prying, prizing and prioritising. Finally it came to hand….
Cache in order, but wet, wet as; log signed, but wet, cache safely re-hidden, just as found.
TFTC found with team cacher Sweet P too
The Turtle strikes again!

A MEGA Adventure
Both Nova Lightning and myself had set ourselves caching targets that we were hoping to meet in time for the NZMEGA in a few weeks. So with a plan in progress and fuel in the tank away we set.
Departed home at 6pm Friday, returned home 3.30pm Monday, 7 hours sleep approx 470 caches and a great adventure.
Thanks to all those that have placed caches especially Skindo as I think we gave his caches a bit of a nudge
Thanks for a great weekend of Caching and Bull.

Mega Weekend
It all started about a month ago when Cats&Dragons brought up the idea of heading down the line to collect 350+ caches. We both had targets that we wanted to meet before attending the NZ Mega. Plans and locations were drawn up and puzzles were begun to be solved. It took me a while to get my head around a few of the puzzles and with the help of a cacher I was soon on a roll.
The weekend finally came and we departed Hamilton at 6pm on a Friday night. 3days, 2,000km, & 11hrs sleep, later 472 caches collected. Thanks to all those who's caches I found especially Skindo with a huge number laid.

An interesting Bridge, unfortunately the logbook is sodden, tipped some water out of the container and dried it as best we could, signed our name on the original & replacement log left by a previous cacher, TFTC.

10.50: On the way from Dannevirke to Castlepoint. Really nice bridge and a rarely visited cache. Unfortunately the cache is in bad condition. We couldn't write a log as all of the paper was soaking wet. We add a photo of all content as an evidence of our find.
Weather: fine but windy, 18°C;
Wheelchair: on road and bridge;
State: completely wet, new sheet of paper added.
Thank you for the cache and for showing the bridge!

After finding GC3M6JJ - Mangatainoka @ Halls Road (Wairarapa) it was time to go over SH1 and make my way to the next cache that I had on my list of unfound caches, decided to read the cache page and check this cache out before I made my way there. I soon realised that this was one of the caches that I have being to before and tried to find before but I must have being a bit blind (well that's my excuse)[xx(].
Decided that I would go back there again today and see if I could find it today, firstly the GPS was bouncing around a bit, so I decided that I would think this one and then rethought the hint and then thought why don't I try looking at this spot, bugger there it was the only spot that I didnt check last time I was here.
After finding and signng the cache, I decided that I had better put it back where I found it even though I was tempted to put it somewhere else but thought better of it. This is definitely a very nice little structure and was definitely worth a visit. Thanks for placing this cache here and for bringing me to this spot again, TFTC TNLNSL (4866)

A quick find on a day's expedition with Yeetrees to clean up unfound caches in the area.. Found the "new" container, as others have noted the logbook was soaked but fortunately I had a pen that would still write on it. Signed log, TFTC!
Found the "new" container. It was full of water, & the log book was soaked. Tried to sign it, but it's not all that readable.
I see there was already a pet rock in there (a cat), although clearly cats don't like swimming in water!. Left a dog to keep it company. TFTC

Actually a DNF. Sort of. Looks the the bridge has had a fresh coat of pain above and anti-rust grease below, and the cache was gone. But the next visit was Kaitawa hall, where I found a skindo cache and an older 200mm systema container almost buried in the dirt. Log book and all. Rattll stone. swaps. The works. So I brought it back here. Hidden in the same coords, but different position as the new container is not magnetic. Easy to find. Also it's log is very wet - if you are coming out in summer please leave it out to dry for a bit. Now that there is a cache there... I stamped it (Found it!) and moved on...
lots of work happening to the bridge think it may have been removed by contractors
An interesting old bridge structure. We were expecting a bit of a hunt here, but it didn't really take too long. Thanks.

Took a bit of searching for this one. After nearly giving up had one more look and found it straight away - I'm sure I looked there before! Obviously not. TFTC
What a cool ole bridge. saw some ducks down below in the river. My poor knees!
GPS led us to the wrong side of the bridge but once we realised a quick find TFTC
I seem to remember that it was hosing down the last time I was out this way, and it was only marginally better today. Didn't have any joy to start with but widened the search zone and found it on the right side of the bridge, or is that the wrong side of the bridge. SL TFTC
Easy find at a cool spot on a warm afternoon. The GPS initially sent me to the wrong side but once it settled an easy find. TFTC
I don't know whether I was blind or NOT, had a good search at GZ but could find no sign of the cache. It may need checking as it hasn't being found for a while.
#1896. This looks like to be the only road access to Kaitawa. Nice bridge. TNLNSL. TFTC.
Found today with my Son on a caching trip East of Palmerston North. 13th of 14 finds. Found after a few minutes searching, nice bridge. Signed log then replaced. TFTC
A neat old bridge and a good hide. Not too much traffic about which is a good thing.

lived in Pahiatua for years but never got out to Kaitawa but now I have.. lovely one way bridge..almost a viaduct! the level of the river in flood is amazing..some 20 or so metres higher than it was today!.
FTF at 9.15pm with nzcoozer and edvern.
A fun wee cache to find in the dark. A bit too dark to admire the bridge properly.
