The spiky plany has been chopped right down - it is growing back - but all around the pole is clearly visible and several of us are reporting finding nothing here?
Looked behind all the poles around the fence - nothing to find. Maybe it needs to be checked
Couldn't find this one either. Lots of the plant has been cleared away

Up to compete in the HCMC Rallysprint at Paparoa and thought I'd nab this drive-by on the way through. Unfortunately, it appears that the spiky plants have been completely cleared from around the power pole, and no sign of the cache.
With the bad weather forecast in place and with some long working days behind me I decided spontaneous for a “Tapetenwechsel ” taking my car out for a ride up north. On my way I selected some lonely geocaches to avoid spending too much time in the rain . Quick find.TFTC
Nice and easy! A great one for the kids as long as there is an adult to bear the prickles
368 The defender of the cache got me a couple of times while trying to retrieve.
Thanks for the hint. Still had to be very careful putting my hand in there. A slow motion find!
Many thanks

Had a huge day planned today to gather at least 50 caches which were at least 1km apart from the last, for part of the geo-licence series. We started out earlier with the first cache found just after sun rise, and the last log being signed about 15 hours and near 500kms later.
We had an epic time on this trip and saw some great places along the way, through an area we had both travelled through many a time but never stopped. Thanks for everyone who had placed a cache along our route so we could finally stop and see the sights.
#8. Got stuck into all the blackberries nearby, then wandered over to find the cache.

Despite the hint, I still got stabbed! Lots of muggles but photography is a great cover. Geocoin is missing sadly. TFTC! NINO.
Did search but gave up due to vicious guardian plant. Not sure what the attraction of this location was.
We were hoping to find the geocoin in the tube but as usual there was none. Sure do wish that the folks who take them would log them and keep them active.
Just managed to avoid the spikes.

My first rural cache thanks for making this a game you can play everywhere, so exciting to look for caches when we go out of town!
Found as part of my Post Mega northen road trip. Really enjoyed a part of the country I hadn't seen before. Thanks to all those who have placed cacahes to encourage us southerners to come your way!
Avoided the spikes.
Found as part of flippers NZ Mega conquest tour of 2013.

(559) Quick find while in the area. Muggle keep looking out the window, so stealth was required to collect. TFTC
The tube is cracked and the lid is broken. Might be time for a new container
During our inspection of the prickly prospect, an unseen muggle from the factory across the road yelled out the cache location!!! TFTC!

Wouldn't it be great to take train rides up this far. Lid has imploded - tweezers are useful. T4TC - M@
Found the cache during a nice drive throw the amazing landscape. Thank you very much.
TFTC. Quick find but log sheet disintergrated while I was pulling it out. Put a temp sheet in in it's own bag. Lid was worn- might be worth replacing?
"Housie"
Yip, I have to agree with you all, that plant is a a prickly one all right!!
Took the cache back to the car and had a devil of a time trying to get the lid off. I must be getting weak in my old age!! It appears to have gone hard and brittle, with age I am guessing.
I added my housie number 'Dancing Queen 17'. TFTC, the seek and find made a pleasurable start to my day. I went on to seek out another on Brynderwyn but didn't have quite the same success unfortunately. However I will try again next Wednesday.

Found at 3:09:00 PM while travelling the long way from Paihia back to Auckland. A friendly Muggle or maybe a fellow geocacher shouted a hint from across the road.
Thanks nodo

This was a quick stop on our way north to stretch our legs and find another cache. The logbook was a bit damp. TFTC
Found at 6:20am on the way north to complete the Golden Circle series in the Hokianga. Nice quick find in the dark, not too many people about at this time of the day. TFTC!!!
TFTC a good quick one to find just what we need to get out of the house before tea.
I like my hiking pole for plants like these, and flax, and cutty grass,....
Nice to see old buildings being recycled.
Cheers for the cache.

Have actually caught a train here! Found with 'Kev & Chris', The Italian Job was here....!
Drove straight past, so had to turn around to collect this one. Nice prickly bush but made it in and out with no scratches. TFTC
We are out here from Australia on Chippyroo's Middle Earth Caching Quest. Mr C braved the plant and was spiked for his troubles but he found the cache none-the-less! TFTC
There was a van parked right beside GZ but luckily no one inside. So a nice quick grab. TFTC #2735
have stopped here on the train once or twice when the train last ran a long time ago.
Braved men on diggers and a spiky plant but successful find. Found with ClanMcPherson.
i found it with my 8year old little Granddaughter. Was so fun and an easy find!Ye ha!!!
In the area doing some of the A-Z series - did have to watch for the prickly plant - TFTC

In the area polishing off the last of the A-Z series of caches, just time enough for a couple more before joining the motorway southbound, found at about 7pm in the dark, thanks.

GPS pointed me straight to GZ and I quickly but gingerly extracted the cache, avoiding all pricklypoints- there are some sneaky ones hiding in the grass! TFTC
Had muggles across road leaning out the window for a while so waited for them to dissapear.Always good to work in pairs so someone keeps a look out.Found easily and had no issues with flora.TFTC.
Was very careful with the hands when looking for the cache but not so careful with the knees when I knelt down to retrieve it......OUCH!!!!!
TFTC - I think

Rocked up to the cache site and had a laugh when I saw the hiding spot. It really is a prickly 'little' plant! TFTC
Hard to avoid getting a little scratched. We picked a day no-one would be about to make the task easier.
A quick easy find despite the prickly plant. The occupants of a cattle truck trailer parked nearby made their presence known. TFTC
Headed North with TF to complete the Driving A-Z series. Definitely not a flax plant. Managed to avoid getting hurt. TFTC
Quick in and out.
No problems for me near GZ.
Must have been a busy place at some stage.
