Found my first cache find in Tassie. Heading back home after spending 5 days in Hobart & surrounds. Had some time on the way to the airport.Dropped a trackable in the container. There was a beautiful painted rock inside. TFTC
Stage 2 of our trip was a few days in Tasmania. We headed over to Bruny Island to stay at a friends cabin before spending a day in Hobart. I dont think I have eaten as many delicious oysters in my life as I have over the last few days! Thanks to all the COs for placing and maintaining caches for us to find. I dropped off 3 and picked up 1 TB.
Very nice cache, found after lunch nearby at Frogmore Creek. Dropped TB no others in situ. TFTC
Had a bit of extra time before my flight so popped by to grab this one. Nice quick find and well constructed. Tftc
Just checking to see if there were any bugs that wanted to come back to Canada with me. Not today I guess. Visiting Australia in Tasmania. We are aiming for all the cool caches nearby as well as many different types. We have found the cachers around here super friendly and helpful. Thanks for the smile
In Tassie for the next few months. So many great places to visit and so many different caches to find. We've had alovely few day down here in Hobart and along the inlets. Now to start heading back north to our grand children. Picked this up while passing by, which was a quick find at GZ. Picked up a TB to continue it's journey. Thanks DnA! for placing the cache and doing the maintenance needed, so we can find this cache.
One last cache before we return the rental car and head back to New Zealand. Thanks to all the geocachers who've placed caches and Adventure Labs in Tasmania, We've had a great time during our nine days here and been tempted to some out of the way places in order to find caches. TFTC
TFTC! A nice quick find, thanks to the hint. Decided to walk back to the car through the cemetery, rather than on the road.
Goldy and Jimmy are holidaying in Tasmania for a few days. A quick trip away from our regular life to see sights and find caches.I'm aiming to continue my daily streak and fill some Jasmer grid spots. As well as find some challenge caches and as many virtuals as I can.Our flight to Hobart landed at about 8PM, after picking up our rental car, we went to find this cache before heading to our accommodation. It was a quick find once on the correct side of the tree. A nice camo here. Good work.We signed the log and were on our way.Funnily enough, I have a trackable in my possession, which looks exactly like the cache camo here.My first find in Tasmania! Woohoo!I loved reading the history in the description. A favourite point for you! Thanks DnA! for this traditional cache, which brings Goldy's total find count to 3762 on the 9th of November 2023.CITO's are a brilliant way to help keep our community area's clean. The Earth is our playing field and we need to protect it! Always be sure to cache the "leave no trace" way!**South Australia is the place be for GCA1DNA - February 29th, 2024 in Adelaide! Hope to see you at The Great Leap Forward!**
Found on a trip to Tasmania with pineapplegoldy! Some caches have been signed as "Goldy and Jimmy". Goldy has sent answers and uploaded photos where applicable. TFTC
Visiting TBs to make sure they get the full distance on them before dropping off.
Taking some time off to explore more of the apple isle with RoamingHowie. Day Five: Finish TTSS & SSF, Richmond, New Norfolk and various caches & AdLabs along the way.
This was last on our list before heading to the airport. Retrieved a lovely geocoin to take back to the mainland. I hope it doesn’t push my carry-on luggage weight over the edge!
Thanks for bringing us here by placing this cache, DnA!

It was time for a return trip to Tassie to explore the southern part of the state. I paired up with OzHockeyChick for a 5 day caching blitz with some sightseeing in between. It was sadly the final day and we were mopping up the end of the TTSS and SSF series while making our way from Orford to Hobart via a whole heap of other caches.
Final stop before our flight. Checked in on the guests at the hotel. Got a little poked and prodded by the surrounds but got there in the end.
Thanks DnA! for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy.

Adelaide to Hobart Road Trip.
Day Six: New Norfolk to Hobart Airport and a flight home.
Weather: Chilly morning, sunny day.
I spotted this cache randomly after targeting two challenge caches nearby. This seemed like the ideal last cache of the road trip, although a twist occurred after I reached the airport.
I had two friends that worked in the Golden Wings lounges, one in Adelaide, one in Sydney. They both referred to the patrons as Golden Whingers. Airline Lounges seemed completely unobtainable to me back then, but later I started FIFO locuming and got to be Platinum with Qantas. I would have loved to seen what lounges were like back in the Golden Wings day, with no mobile phones and no miners. A different world.
I picked up a cache from the banks of the Franklin River where there was no phone reception, and only realised later that it’s mission is to visit World Heritage Areas. So I’ve swapped it for one of the other TBs here. Nice camouflage here!
Thanks for the cache DnA! A favourite.
It’s officially a mega.

Well that was cute. Found on the way to Launceston to our new accommodation for the next 4 nights. We had a gander through the cemetery. Love thinking about what life would be like for these early pioneers. Took travel bug. Thanks DnA.
Nice camo - found quickly but definitely stealth required as road very busy today.
tftc DnA! and thanks for giving back to our game.

When I first visited Oz, Ansett was still flying, too bad I didn't catch them back then. Now it's off to the airport for us, flying Virgin, after a fantastic time in Tassie. Taking a few TBs with us and leaving a few here in TAS. TFTC. TB in & out.
Came to drop some travel bugs..please note, there was no pathtag, and no geocoins/travel bugs, despite a lengthy list of them on the cache description. Left 3 tbs
I know that the taxi driver now thinks I’m crazy, but I arrived late into Hobart and took a taxi to the cache. It was a little difficult to find with my iPhone flashlight, but eventually I did. First cache in Tasmania! Thanks!
Left a Ms. Pac-Man pathtag. Took a travel bug and will take it to New Zealand as requested.

Found with The X-Trailers as they wanted to put some trackable in. Loved the church and cemetery closeby. TFTC
Finally got around to dropping by here on the way to the airport. Cache safe inside hidey hole while everything else is so wet around. Thanks
Had two TBs to drop off, thought they might want to stay in Tasmania. This was the perfect cache to do so.
Nice hide.

Ive been eyeing this one for weeks, planning to drop a TB here before I head off to the mainland. This cache was SO SNEAKY. Hidden in plain sight!!! I was wondering where on earth you could hide a 1.5L container without it being muggled. Got pricked all over and cursed the difficulty rating until i realised that it was, in fact, right in front of me. Good riddance! So this is what a good, sneaky cache is!
Dropped off a TB. Have a FP!

Now that’s what I call a log! No TB’s might check it out later in the year when we jet home to NZ for a break
Came out to grab this one today and to check out the trackables. Unfortunately there weren’t any in there at the moment. Great hide though.
TFTC.

Came out this way just for the trackables, and no way did it disappoint, favourite for you!
Have been carrying around two travel bugs for the past couple if weeks, having brought them back from Victoria. Time for them to be moved on elsewhere so dropped them into the departure lounge. TFTC.
On the trip from Hobart to Eaglehawk neck, nice little stop over on the way. Logbook nice and dry
A nice quick find as I was dropping off the hire car.
Dropped a couple of TB's we'd picked up whilst in Tasmania that should travel around this beautiful place for a little while longer.
Thanks!!

27,036. Found with minniek during Day 2 of our Southern Australian meander.
After a fun day in Adelaide yesterday, we flew to Hobart this morning with an aim to do a short loop filling in some Local Government Areas. After picking up our hire car we started caching through our list. I was a member of the Golden Wing member, and spent many long hours waiting for flights in there. This was a nice quick find in an appropriate place for a defunct airline. Signed/Stamped the log, replaced the cache as found, then headed off to the next cache on the list.
Thanks DnA !!

Fitzy_1965 and I decided to do a bit of a whirlwind holiday visiting family and caching along the way. We did three states in four days. Tiring but so worth it. We are just waiting for Western Australia to open up and then we will be there too!
Day 2 saw us getting up early again to catch a flight to Hobart. Grateful for my Uncle being chauffeur and getting us to the airport on time. It was a fantastic day of caching which included collecting a number of LGA’s but turned wet and blustery as we headed up Mt Wellington. We ended the day with dinner at the Drunken Admiral on Hunter St….a fantastic experience.
All caches were found quickly and easily unless otherwise stated. Thanks so much to all CO’s for your hides.

Quick stop here today, a nicely made cache that is still in great shape.
Off to Hobart for an overnight trip and to also pick up the other half on her flight from Adelaide. I decided to do all the caches that were new along the Highway plus pick up a few targets in Hobart.
Thanks for the cache
