I was out for a wander in the Tottnes CP, and gathered the remaining ones in this section I had not found. Thanks CP for the cache, great to see one of yours up here in the hills. The cache tood a moment to spot, it was doing a good job at hiding. Found and signed and returned as found. The cache is in great condition, not a worry inside or out.

Find #8298 at 5.15pm. Nice views across the valley.

Owl was invited by CPWanderer to go on a walk and find a couple of caches in Totness. Owl agreed, provided she could also achieve her 12,000th cache. With goals in place they set out. The countdown (and the puffing) continued until Owl was able to reach this point and achieve her goal. So nice to have the CO with her (though she confesses to being too puffed to enjoy the view). Thanks for making a memorable milestone.

Find 10 of 33 on a busy caching day - out to Mount Barker for a bush walk, Hanhdorf for lunch and an Ad Lab, then e-scooting all over town for the afternoon and finally out to Port Adelaide for a FTF.

It's a special place. Great cache.

TFTC CPwanderer!

A nice walk around the area, after a short search the cache was easily found and is all good

Today we headed up in the hills to head to beerenberg for some lunch /afternoon tea so decided to do a few caches along the way followed by a nice walk in the bush to finish off the area before heading back down into the city.

Thanks for the cache

Out exploring the Adelaide Hills to get away from the rat race and to enjoy the fresh country air.

There are lots of great caches in this little patch of wilderness.

This one was a tricky find for me. I had to endure light drizzle and a fair bit of wind at GZ. A long search but I eventually found the cache.

Thanks for the cache CPwanderer.

I absolutely love all of the caches in this park!

Originally drove here not sure how to get into it. Eventually went through Paechtown and turned out to be the best way in, which I was very thankful for in the end.

This was the first find of my haul this afternoon. A walk around the area made sure the cache was in hand quickly, and the size of it was worth the find too.

TFTC! A quick sign and replace to enjoy the lookout. Feels great to have something like this so close to home.

After a few burgers and pizza at the Prancing Pony (as well as a cleansing ale), the Famous IV decided to head to the Totness Recreation Park for a walk and a few caches. The weather was brilliant - although too cool to use the rope swings into the dam - and the park was looking its best. Kids enjoyed the tunnel. As someone who usually caches in Adelaide it was refreshing to see a collection of caches that were nicely sized, creative and worth seeking out. Even the ubiquitous Eclipse tin was encased in well constructed camo. A great afternoon's caching - 10 finds and 0 DNFs as well as spying something concealed that looked like a cache (off chance of jetskiing a puzzle) but turned out to be a bong. TFTC JeffJulie, hevwalker, sir_spectre (and mini maker), CPwanderer, Bushwalker53 and Bilbo baggins, Team Bounty26 and J_&_J (apologies for the generic log) for collectively putting out a great group of caches.

Decided to stop in at Totness Recreation Park for a couple of 'quick' caches after a day in Hahndorf. Two hours later, two caches in hand, we'd had a wonderful walk and an exhilarating run through the tunnel, twice! Young geokid was not keen but braved it out. TFTC CPwanderer.

After a moving funeral in Mount Barker this morning we had lunch at my in-laws. It was a wet and dreary day, but the clouds cleared and the sun came out in the afternoon, so I headed out on my own geocaching in nearby Totness Recreation Park. I disturbed three deer and later a kangaroo, but I also found several caches.

This was a quick find on the walk back to the car, after I bypassed it on the walk through the park earlier. Stamped the log. Took nothing, but left the BlueRoo trackable for the next finder to move along. After spotting a roo on the walk here, I thought it was an appropriate place to leave this trackable. TFTC

Quick find while out with Mattycat and Perfect Di as we headed down to Totness Recreation Park, this one has been on our list for so long it was quite satisfying to finally sign our names in the book, some nice views between the trees with Mrs frog trying to photograph a few of the skinks enjoying the sunshine, as we hiked back to the car we saw a few deer that has also taken residence in the park. We ended up bush bashing up the hill to collect this cache from the bottom of the hill. We found it

Find # 2066 @ 1608 H

Over in Mount Barker with Tyred n Cranky for our annual holidays to follow the TDU.

Well today being a rest day for the race, it was my turn to push the peddles. Having a MTB I was able to tackle the gravel roads and boy was I glad I have low gearing, the hills are steep as.

I came to this cache form Gnome Village - 3 Hobbit Hole so I didn't see any tunnel, and not being from the area it usually just follow the icons then follow the track home. but after grabbing this one I ventured down to the cache "Number 2" and here is where I found the tunnel. after grabbing this cache close I sized up the bike and headed off no lights and stooped over I was just wishing that it stayed the same size all the way through.

even though I came at this one from the wrong direction I still managed to enjoy the adventure and this is well worth the walk/ride and getting a fave.
If it was not for the caching I would not have ventured into the darkness.

After grabbing the other cache close by we thought we would go ahead and grab this one, half way there the head lamp starts flashing indicating the batteries are just about dead, luckily i had a hand held torch, once at GZ we made a quick find and then found a trail that took us back to the car. TFTC

22-Apr-14
We grabbed this one from the other end after visiting the gnomes nearby. TFTC. Smile

14-Mar-14
We came at this cache from the opposite end so we missed out on the tunnel adventure. We thought about going further down the hill just to have a look at said tunnel but decided that the hike back up to the car might be prove a bit too much. A favourite point for this one because it's in a fantastic area and somewhere we'd like to explore a bit more in future. TFTC & cheers from ajtmb.

Caching expedition with D1sc0v3ry, Schnail, Foxbane, Geosisters and Geomum. We headed out very early to beat the heat of the day. We had a goal and managed to get some extras. Great day was had by all who came, there were some very good calibre of caches out there.

This was a cache that gave us heaps of grass seeds in our shoes and socks, but it was a great cache, glad geopooch stayed home today. TFTC

The trip through the park was short and the look of the tunnel had the younger members apprehensive but on we marched.
The cache was a quick find at the peak. Signed the log and returned through the tunnel and out of the park. TFTC.

Should have paid a little more attention to the details of this one. It wasn't until I started to read after we set off, that there was a tunnel to go through. Of course, this was once I had put the hiking rig on to tote the Geotoddler in. Miss Eight thought it was so exciting to encounter a tunnel to go through.

So here I was, crouched over, trying to carry the Geotoddler. The thighs were burning and I was cursing myself for not reading closer. But there was no turning back, so we kept going. The only problem with making it to the other side was the knowledge, I'd have to endure the same thing on the way back.

We made our way up the hill and quickly found GZ. The view was great. Left a spare pencil as there were no writing implements. Considered dropping off Miss Eight's TB, but looked at the logs. Doesn't seem SA cachers like to walk very much.

We turned around and lugged Geotoddler back through the tunnel and headed back to the car.

Thanks CPwanderer. We loved this little adventure, burning thighs and all!

Easy to find!!!!!

This was a great spot for a leisurely walk in the bush. Just a bit worried about snakes though. Got as close as I could on the track then it was across the rough. Found fairly quickly and easily. Number 3 of 11 for the day. Took Police Car, left Space Army Dude. Cheers.

20-Dec-12
Thought I would give this one another go on a milder day when I was in the area.
Took the summer track through Paechtown. Found the familiar track and soon realised that I followed the wrong path last time and this one veered right. A kangaroo taking a nap gave me a startling fright, disturbed a few more, but could hear them as much as they could hear me crashing through the bush. With four metres to go I found the cache very quickly. Funny enough, I ended up fifty metres further down coming out on a different path.
Thanks for the cache on a great day, now have the Hahndorf/Verdun/ Woodside area finished.Smile

02-Dec-12
We walked our way around from the Redfin hide. We took the tunnel. We had divided opinions on the comfort levels of doing the tunnel... something to do with relative height. We hiked up the track and then cross country. I was really impressed with the native veg on this side of the tunnel. It's another one to watch where you walk and tread gently. We picked a great time to visit. GZ was surrounded by a sea of yellow and white flowers. Brilliant! We came across stumpy lizard on the way out. Definitely a one for a return visit. This gets a favourite for sure. Thanks so much CPWanderer. We would never have known this was here.

Mr Tardis was home sick today, fighting off a cold/flu. However needed to get some supplies from the shops, so made a short detour here to grab a cache.

Came in from the southern entrance and followed a walking trail or roo trail (I'm not sure which) to the cache.

Thanks for placing a cache here, I really must return and explore the southern end of this park some more. And maybe take a journey through "the tunnel".

"Dropping off" a trackable which I discovered in the cache which the previous finder must have forgotten to log.

Signed the log. Thanks for the cache CPwanderer.

06-Apr-12
Out for an afternoon of caching with the rogue. I am getting too old for this. I was doubled over for this pipe. 5 feet....noooo. And I'm only 6"0". the rogue to 6'4" so I think he might have been tripled over! having conquered the pipe we did the cachers folly of going straight to GZ via the side of the mountain, over logs through spider webs. Got there, got the cache and then saw the fire track that goes within about 50 metres of GZ. Thanks CP. It was an experience and gets a favourite..because I will never foget it. Or do it again either. It was easier going downhill back to car!

18-Mar-12
Quick & easy find today....nice day to be out enjoying the sun!
