Had a good look round high and low and on the ground - but no avail! Maybe needs a check
The area around GZ had been cleaned up and we were wondering if the cache had been misplaced. Took a little time to look around and found the container on the ground all intact. Replaced were we thought it should be
We left home Friday night headed to Wanganui to visit our daughter then Saturday morning headed to wards Rotorua and grabbing a cache or two along the way. Today we got up early and decided on the route we were going to take starting at 8.05am, no sleep in for me today. Found the cache signed the log and placed it back exactly where we found it. such a nice area to visit thank you for placing a cache here made us visit the area and enjoy the sits and the stunning scenory. TFTC this was a prickly situation lovely blackberries ya need full body armour for this one, I got a few war wounds now, but got the cache thats all that matters.
Found while out with Nzflossy and Philip.perry doing the new series of caches good to find an old one cache is in good order well protected by the gorse that surrounds the Pylon.

Another Road Trip this time with Davidson Clan and NZFlossy - Todays target is Nerweeds Murupara/Galatea trail but of course I'll try to stop at everything I can Cache found quickly and in good condition thanks to a good hint and a straight forward placement. Granted the D rating will have to increase as the gorse grows. Cheers Ruruwha, TFTC
Not a fun cache to try in a singlet, shorts and jandals thanks to all the gorse here, but I had come all this way so would've been rude not to. Not too much blood lost and no prickly plants were harmed in the logging of this cache.
So after a 3.30am start and an all day caching mission with Kiwis69 and 11HPG11 to find 10 different cache types in one day and 750kms already travelled why not team up with 11HPG11 again, Cats&Dragons and MCC for another mission, 10mins after the last one had finished.
This second mission turned the day into a massive 27 hour caching trip with well over 1200kms travelled. (Hamilton, Auckland, Hamilton, Tauranga, Rotorua, Taupo, Hamilton, Rotorua, Kawerau, Murupara, Rotorua, Summit of Mt. Ngongotaha, and back to Hamilton).
The plan was to head down to Kawerau then on the Murupara and back to Rotorua to find the new trail in that has been laid and then head up Mt. Ngongotaha to attend the Time Warp event. This second trip was a bit of a struggle but we got there in the end, and even found every cache on the trail, and the walk up the hill was much needed. A big thanks to the CO's for the placements.

Heading over to do a little circuit in the company of HKCB, 11HPG11 & McCutchen Cacahe Clan following a big day by the first two of completing 10 types in a day ( while some of us had to do the around the house work that the Good Lady of the House insisted on). Caches were signed collectively as "HOAC" to save space on the logs
So here we are and leaving an event early (yes I know, hard to beleive) to do a little ciruict across the top of the lake to Ngongataha (via Kawerau and Murupara) for the "Time Warp" event. Yes I know but there were caches that needed finding. Not a bad evenings tally with about 35 finds before heading back to Hamilton for some much needed sleep. Thanks to all the cache owners for their plaecments.
Well this was the thirteenth on the list as we headed across collecting the odd random placement here and there. Heading south once again and maanged to collect this one without too much trouble. Made HKCB gt the prick on this one as it seemed only right
Thanks for the placement and the cache

A mission that has been a long time in the making. Today our goal was to collect 10 different cache types in a day. For Kiwis69 and myself this would have been fairly easy and a short day, but because we were tagging along with HKCB, this meant a few more kms and a wider caching area. We started the day at 3.30am and due to deciding to continue back to another event in Rotorua I got to bed at 5.30am the following day. Sleep is for the weak right?! A memorable day, spent in some great company and superb weather just to make the day even better. All up we did Hamilton - Auckland - Hamilton - Tauranga - Rotorua - Taupo - Hamilton - Rotorua - Hamilton. Travelling all those kms and still ended up in Hamilton
So our 10 types in a day mission had been completed at 6pm and after that huge day the sensible thing would be to go home and rest. Nah where is the fun in that. HKCB and myself decided to team up with C&D and MCC and collect a few caches plus attend an event in Rotorua at 1.59am. Totally normal behaviour.
Logs were signed as HOAC to save room. Too busy trying to dance around the gorse but luckily the rest of the team were on to it and soon had the cache in hand

Out with Cats&Dragons on a late night - early morning cache run. Logs were signed MCCD but may have varied a bit as tiredness settled in. Thanks for placing this cache and giving us a reason to visit
Cache number 3440 and day 92 of my current streak. This one was a bit of an adventure. I parked safely on the other side of the road so walked a little to GZ. The first view was daunting but I ploughed in anyway. With no luck I backed out and once free I read the logs. Yep that is where I need to be. In for a 2nd look. Once again I backed carefully out with no cache in hand. I then contemplated the other 3 options but could not see any easy paths so decided to have a 3rd look. This time I managed a quick find. I am not sure how I missed it the other 2 times. It was where I looked. Once out and heading back to the car I was thankful to make the find and not have to brave the thorns again. Thank you for the placement.
Can kind of see why this hasn't been signed for a while. Arrive at gz and look and go omg! If the previous finders thought it was a prick a year ago they should see it now. Lol Well covered with gorse. Am I up for the challenge. Well covered today so yes I am. I make my way in. Strategically push my way through. Reach out and make a quick find. Rather than go out of the gorse and make the sign and have to go back in I stay moving as little as possible sign and return. Cache seems to be holding up ok. Been a nice trip from murapara this morning as I don't think I've even been this way before. Good luck to the next finders and make sure your well covered. Lol. Tftc
Quick stop as heading south. Had to give this one up last week as found a stray dog in the area and took him to Whakatane SPCA. Easy find as passing today. TFTC
We went for a sunday afternoon drive out this way and found it,Cache all good.TFTC
Out for a drive today to pick up a few more caches. Needed this one for the 176 degree challenge. Drove right past it as I was in a daydream about creating new caches so had to do a U-turn at a suitable spot well beyond the pylon on this narrow road. Easy find but a few blackberry thorns liked my trousers. TFTC
Another quick easy find at a pylon. TFTC

Night caching along the Rangitaiki River. Thankfully, an easy find. Had the sense to download a torch app on my iPhone, which will be quite useful for future night hunts. TFTC.
Last find of the day with DIMwits as we enjoyed a beautiful Queen's Birthday cache-day! TFTC!
From N. Ireland. On a world tour. On our way from a wonderful night spent at Lake Aniwhenua camp site, to friends in Ohope Beach. Thought we'd pick up the easy caches on the way. TFTC
Pulled over to the side of the road and found in the first spot i looked. Signed Log. TFTC
Another one that needs it's magnet checked - also down on ground. - tftc
Better get on the bike and do the loop to check them all Ruruwha.

Ahhh, the first of the nice easy clean finds on our way to Whakatane. A cop was just along the road with lights flashing on an unmarked car, just as well we had to stop for the cache, as we were going perhaps a little faster than we should. Thankyou, we avoided a ticket, and enjoyed the quick find. TFTC.

yay, 3rd FTF for the night, no worries with muggles up this neck of the woods, although had to blacken our torches a couple of times due to cars coming past, but soon located the cache and found another blank logbook!! Thanks Ruruwha, did you place these by bike or vehicle?? (we would have biked if they were published a little earlier....)
