On our [trip around the world](http://www.hoppundweg.piekar.de/) we came to Australia as well. We started in Tasmania, rented a campervan in Melbourne and went up the Eastcoast to Cairns. Then we drove all the way to the Red Centre. We finished in Darwin. We searched many caches and found almost every cache we searched for Wink. Thanks to all the owners of these caches. Now, 2 years later, we recognized, we will never be able to log every cache seperately... So: Sorry for this standard logtext and thanks for one of the caches, which accompanied us on our journey.

This one was right near our resort. We went for a wander in the drizzle rain for a quick find. We found the log on the ground so we fixed it up best we could.

22-Jan-15
I made my mum (who is the anti cacher) walk in here in the rain and sand (2 more things she dislikes). The cache was spotted by Geokid Madison but the cap was missing. We found the log on the ground. We searched for the cap but couldn't find it so i plugged the cache with a little pinecone to keep the log safe. It will need attention asap!

This very cute cache container stood out a little from the rest of the environment so a quick find was made.
As previously mentioned the log sheet is saturated. We carefully removed it from the container but made no attempt to unroll it, instead we wrapped another temp. log sheet around it, but this will be also be affected by the dampness. Thanks for the cache - we really like containers that are a bit different.

Visiting Tasmania for a few days for a conference and to catch up with family, and of course to get a good dose of a caching fix, too. What an appropriate cache for me to find, given that I am visiting my 'adoptive mum' who has decided to make seven mile beach her permanent home for a few months Wink We had a great walk on the beach, a good heart to heart, and some local apples. Great camo, but the log is beyond signing or even pulling out if one wants to avoid damage... TFTC!!

A nice quick find on the way back from Mt Wellington to the resort.
Log is saturated, made some marks on it that barely resemble our signature.
Time for some owner maintenance here.

Find #414

A two day trip to Tassie for some work meetings presents a great opportunity to do some caching. I had done my preparation so as soon as the work day finished I was off east of the Derwent for an evening of caching. Tougher than I imagined in the dark and with intermittent map service on the phone but great fun. I managed to park close to this so just a short walk down towards the beach. I found the likely area but it still took some effort to get my hands on the cache. This was well disguised and more luck than judgement that my torch rested on the right spot. TNLNSL. Thanks for the cache trojanknight. The log was a bit wet in this one but I could still sign. I was finding it tough in this area so I decided to head over to Howrah on the other side of the peninsula to try a few more.

Making our way along the beach from the other nearby cache, Kaisho53, Ghostgums and I were taking in a little "nature" and playing with the sea sponge along the way. As you do... [^]

With a good approach angle on GZ, the hiding spot became obvious as we moved in and I immediately spotted the cleverly crafted container... Nice to see a little effort put into your caches, great work... Big Grin

I added our names to the log, tucked everything back, then we moved on.

Cheers trojanknight.

29-Jul-14
We wandered around to GZ again by the nice beach, that sure would be great during in the summer months! Perhaps not on an overcast winters day! Cool

Gunnie69 spotted the neat container as we approached GZ. Logbook was singed and we were off!

As we drove to the next cache, Gunnie69 realised he didn't have his GPSr any longer, so we had to drive back so he could retrieve it from GZ. Hmm interesting he didn't mention that in his log! Wink

Found on Day 1, which saw Gunnie69 and myself fly down from Brisbane to meet up with Kaisho53 for a few days of caching around Hobart. The plan was to tackle caches around the airport and our accommodation at Seven Mile Beach, and a few in the CBD where we went to celebrate our first night in town. Cool

Thanks trojanknight for the cache! Big Grin

The cache appears to be in need of owner intervention.

I am temporarily disabling it, to give the owner an opportunity to check on the cache, and take whatever action is necessary.

Please respond to this situation in a timely manner (i.e., within 28 days) to prevent the cache from being archived for non-responsiveness.

If you require more time please be sure to post a note (not an email) explaining the situation and how much more time you require.

For ongoing issues please ensure you visit the page and post a note every 28 days to keep everyone up to date or the cache will be treated as an abandoned cache and archived without further notice.

Reading through previous logs maybe this one should be archived.
All that is left of cache is a plastic bag sitting under a piece of wood, with a log inside that was kindly donated by another cacher.

#511 for us, found while on a visit to Tassie to support juc_jr#2 as he competes in the Surf Lifesaving Southern States Challenge.

We're not staying with the team, so after arriving about 9:30am, we had a free day while they settled in and did some training. What better thing to do than head out and do some caches and sample a few of the local food treats !

A nice walk in spite of a cool onshore breeze, with a few muggles enjoying the water, or basking in the sun. Another nice quick find and as with other finders, a suprising lack of container. Unfortunately someone has decided the area was a good place to leave some soiled disposable nappies, which didn't improve the area at all. You have to wonder about some people.

Log signed and on our way to the next one. I continued my stroll down the beach while Mrs Juc went hunting for food and we met up at the boat ramp.

Thanks for the cache here today trojanknight !

On holiday from Queensland visiting my home town of Hobart. I was on my way to Seven Mile Beach to do a nice walk and decided to stop on the way and grab this cache. I found it with no difficulty, but I note that it is only a bag containing a log book... some maintenance wouldn't go astray. Cheers for the cache Smile

27-Jul-13
Found the log I'll bring a container next time

13-Jul-13
The container was not found only the log which was on the ground. It has been temporarily hidden away, see our Found log entry with a photo.

13-Jul-13
Found the log on the ground beside a cut down pine, but no sign of the container. We didn’t have a spare one but put the log in a plastic bag and placed it under a quite large log chip beside the stump (see photo). TFTC trojanknight

It was a most pleasant day with lots of sun out Seven Mile way and we did a circuit from the south east corner to the end of the airport and back through pine plantations. Originally it was thought that the caches at Five Mile Beach might be included, but once back at the car we decided we had expended enough energy already for the day.

I had commitments next week in Hobart, So it was a quick and easy decision to head across early for sightseeing and caching long weekend.. So it was all planned.. I started at Hobart Airport early on Saturday and was loosely en route to the International Geocaching Day event (GC3RMH6) in Hobart. I later headed as far south as South Tasmania 1 (GC408). I had a blast taking in not only the caches but also the sights and sounds. My apologies to the cache owners for my very generic logs, Lots of caches were awesome, however all deserve more than this boring paragraph that I'm devoting.. I picked out lots of drive bys, however also slowed down for the odd multi or puzzle (solved in the field). Thanks to all cache owners for the wonderful caches, great locations and views and all the effort that has gone into the hides. I have taken a bunch of photos and will upload them in the coming week or so.. Back home now I'm slowly catching up on the logging.. I am looking forward to another tip back accross the straight to collect a whole lot of caches that I overlooked. Finds mostly fit into the #2800 - #2900 range.. Thanks for the cache.

Found on my first day of caching in Tassie. I looked at this and even touched it, then kept snooping around. Eventually I went back to where I started, and had a chuckle, as I have a cache camo'd exactly the same home in Ballarat, and yet I missed this on the first pass. Log was signed and replaced. Many thanks to trojanknight for the cache.

With a nice walk along the beach i called in and grabbed this one, its was in plain sight so after i had signed the log i rehid it under the attached item.

Thanks for the cache
