Think this would all be more manageable as 8 discrete caches rather than as a series, so I am beginning the archiving process.
The un-archived caches will be findable until the end of Feb to give everyone who wants to a chance to find them.
Anyone who finds the remaining 5 caches can email me for the final cache's co-ords so that you can finish the series.
Thanks all for dropping by over the last year and a half

Can this cache be replaced or archived so it doesn't keep showing PQ's.
It's been disabled for months.

Hmm... That's annoying! I doubt Glyn would have missed it if it was there, so will take this one down until I can get out there and check on it. Sorry guys!
Magic! Another nicely hidden cache. Nearly missed the track entry but spotted it on my way back up the road. All good here. TFTC, Biggles.
A short stroll from the road and the cache was quickly found after the GPS settled down. Can't wait to see the Movie. TFTC.
Decided this was an appropriate time to tackle this series & so with Cabhassett & Brook Vader we set off to find the caches, starting with the one nearest home & following on from there. TFTC
Quick find. TFTC

Missy Dragon would be so proud of me going after Tom Riddles Horcrux, TFTC Left TB
NZ11. I am beginning to find interesting bushland close behind the hoses. This was a fun discovery here. Thanks.

Re-homed the slimy snail who'd decided to make this Horcrux home - signed log, and we were outta there before the circling mozzies could feast!
Ta Dah, finally at maybe the 5th attempt..but first at the new location, the cache was ours, had to wait for a few walkers to pass by but the clue and coords were spot on. just realised though we've lost all our previous horcrux clues...oh well we have this one at least. TFTC.
Last one for the day. An area not visited before. Worth another visit when next in the vicinity.
It is nice that this has been shifted to a more palatable location.
Though you do have to be quick as the mozzies arrive within a couple of minutes.
Cheers for the cache.

Well after 3 times trying at old co-ords I had given up on this series. For some unknown reason I clicked on the icon this morning and noticed co-ords changed - searched and I finally got it! A much nicer place to search! So now have two in the series.

Moving cache to a more friendly environment, hpefully that is the end of the DNFs!!

Searched for ages on this one, couldnt find it. Perhaps you could go check it out and see if its still there? big dog, angry neighbours.. cheers, others are good though!
This one has finally gone missing for real. Will do a replacement and a bit of a movement ASAP, hopefully somewhere where the neighbours will be a bit more pleasant!!
This is very close to muggles! They were at home, music playing and all. Spent nearly two hours in total trying to find this single cache as well as patting the neighbour's cat at the same time. No luck unfortunately. I even had to make up some kind of skit in front of the neighbours saying I dropped something in the bush and so I have to find it. >.< My wrist bled from being scratched by the tree around the area I was searching.
We too had a bit of a scout around, and then yikes, read the DNF logs and were just thankful to get out of there without having a neighbour getting upset with us. Perhaps will call by at a quieter time to see if we can locate the horcrux.
Got it!
DNF'd this last time but we had an idea where it might be and came back with something to help us take on the Basilisk (sword of Griffindor?) and this time we had no problems at all! We met a lovely cat at GZ (Proffessor McGonnegal perhaps?) and saw no grumpy muggles.
Cache wasn't closed properly though and was pretty wet inside so made sure it was fully closed this time.
We too worried a bit about cacher erosion here. Maybe the owner could post a comment or hint that might help reduce this? I know this will be tricky without giving too much away which is why I haven't tried to do it myself
Glad to tick this one off, only one more Horcurx to find and then it's curtains for Voldermort!

Today is my second visit to this cache and still it evades me. Since I was last here the block wall has deteriorated. I hope it wasn't caused by a cacher.
Oh dear! After dispatching Nagini with such ease, we found the basilisk protecting the diary to be quite another thing altogether! After 10 minutes of battle we were not winning and when muggles appeared we feared for their safetly so decided to retreat and rethink our approach for another day.
The neighbour came out and flew offf the handle at me. He asked "what I was doing", I said "I was minding my own buisness, some thing that he wasn't doing"
I decided to leave.
Ill be back, with a police escort.

Admittedly this was out 3rd visit, obviously 3rd time lucky. Cache was full of water but log book was dry. TFTC
Found, but thought we had nearly lost the whole thing as the lid was partly open on retrieval. Thank goodness the contents were all there. A nice hide! TFTC
DROPPED MY SD card on the pathway - changing battery in GPSr. So, not only could I not find the cache, but neither could I find my SD card with the topo maps. If anybody finds, please let me know. A total long shot of course.
Oh dear, embarrased as we are we're going to log another DNF on this one, got the neighbouring horcux without problem but this one has tested us mightily. This was actually our 4th visit (Mrs BMNZ shouts 5th from the kitchen) and we thought with new clue we must find it...alas nothing.
Back to the scene of my earlier disaster and armed with a new clue and a bit of help, FOUND IT!!!!!! Thanks.
4913 Left our invisibility cloak at home, had to call upon the wisdom of Prof. Sn8pe. It still took us awhile to retrieve, as we felt we were intruding into the realm of the Dark Forces and didn’t want to get cursed again. TFTC.
After six DNFs I decided to visit GZ. Cache is very much present still!
To make it easier I will give you another hint (see up above)
Oh and please do not attempt if muggle neighbour is in the driveway!! He seems to be rather unfriendly

Got to 0ft on the GPS and both of us looked for ages, found the first one yesterday but no luck today. Then heard 4 paws with appropriate non-friendly sounds approaching very weary of non felines and seeing previous logs retreated as unable to cast a spell.
Will try again later...

Dino Findus... Was approached by an unfriendly neighbour from the Dark Forces, who had a striking resemblance to Lucius Malfoy. He demanded to know what we were up to. We stated we were collecting samples for Professor Sprout’s Herbology lesson. This explanation obviously didn’t satisfy him and just as he was ready to cast a spell on us, the sudden appearance of a four-legged muggle and its master gave us enough time to make haste our departure. Will return with our invisibility cloak.
Cords wanted me 25m away from the path and into some-ones yard. Hint about destroying GZ was meaningless.
This was a tricky one - the clue did nothing for us. 4 eyes and 6 legs found it after a while.
TNLNSL cheers

Arrived to find the beats3707 team already searching, and it took quite a bit more searching before the cache was uncovered. Nice to meet some new cachers.

I wasnt offering my comment for debate.
That was a planned exursion working as a Team, not a random meetings of peoples at GZ 3 seconds after a cache notification.

Went twice - once by moonlight and once by torch light. I was unable to find it! Blame that on my little girls being asleep and therefore unable to help!! Will come back with the kidies in the daylight. TFTC!
This notification came out as we were at the other recently published cache. With FMZ we quickly headed in the direction of this cache and when we arrive there were no other Geocachers around. Had only just starting the search when we were joined by Kiwicouple. FMZ soon had the well hidden cache in hand and logged the joint FTF with FMZ & Kiwicouple. . Congratulations to FMZ for his 450th FTF. TFTC
Oh no! The second Horcrux cache is published and I am home alone without a vehicle, and the other half is travelling in the opposite direction to drop off a daughter. Frantic texts and some time later we are on our way. . . . skipped the first new cache of the evening and arrived at Horcrux #2. Surprised to see a torchlight search under way still, and joined in. The cache was found a short time later by FMZ celebrating a big milestone.
Joint FTF with FMZ, Rosmar and ourselves FTF # 242
Recorded the hints for the Final, and headed for . . . . . the Place that Must Not Be Named.

Got home from work, put the kiddies to bed before checking emails. arrived just as FMZ was putting the cache back in the hiding spot so handed it over for a quick sign, just missed out on a joint FTF but never mind there are still more to go...
Turned up with rosmar, and shortly afterwards joined by kiwicouple. Spotted the likely hide from the path and pondered for a moment the best way to grab it, ended up just taking the "plunge" and there is was. Nice hide! Had completed the formalities and put the cache back when I realised I still had the stash note in my hand so had to get it out again. Was just about to put it back the second time when rhodzrunner joined the party as well. Joint FTF with kiwicouple and rosmar for our 450th FTF ! TFTC!!!
I think you guys are completely Fooling yourselfs with these joint FTF's - I agree with the pud( ssshhhhh!! . One person was FTF, not the group.
