It could be that maybe Wilson finally got off the island. Search and Rescue are checking local shipping for any sightings...

Didn't find it, looked everywhere around the "island" avoiding the spider webs. This is gone, needs fixing or archive.
Wilson was our very first cache find, and this morning we walked along for the last time as we are about to move away from this area. Sadly, though it seems that Wilson is no more. We had a good search in the undergrowth and around some of the other trees on the 'island' but to no avail no signs of a geocache having been there... Wilson's gone...
On a walk along the Two Creeks track we stopped to look for this cache. This little island must be mostly under water a fair bit I reckon. I had GZ in a spot that looks to be dry but we could find no sign of the cache sadly.
I'm sure I came in the long way around, but totally loved the magical island with its large palm trees. Found the cache in the open after walking straight passed it. Logged and out of there just as the rain started and the sound of young muggles were getting closer. TFTC TNLN
Yep, it's a genuine ammo container! We actually found it just sitting on the ground at GZ, but fortunately that area doesn't attract much passing traffic. (A bit of rubbish around, however.) Contents were perfectly dry. Swapped some items including GSPVX's tool. Cya Wilson!
Stopped by whilst exercising the GSPVX team.
Ticked up TB's and left small pocket tool.

12:45pm. Walking along the track we thought that the "gum boots" were needed for the creek.
Decided to follow the path round and then realised that we were looking at the wrong "creek".
Tide was coming in but still quite dry.
Left Sponge Bobwa.

Great to find such an old cache (placed not long after the Geocaching movement was born). Lovely area but very curious about all the Canary Island Date palms growing along the creek. Were they planted there or have the birds spread seeds about?
I had to keep walking from Two Creeks as this cache was only a few hundred meters on. A little tricking crossing the creek even on low tide, eventually got a soggy foot none the less , thought I had seen that geo coin before "Yin til Aarhus" I had left it in Kayak Haven only a few days ago. TFTC
Love to get to a nice old ammo box. Nice and dry even though there was some rain in the past week, so must have got lucky. Left Yin til Aarhus geocoin. TFTC
came on a very humid day after a big storm the night before. had to walk through knee high water to get to the container which was very well hidden

We walked down the track, crossed the bridge, came back a little, scrambled down to the south side of the creek, NO, that won't do.
So back we went to the correct side, and with all the rain we had overnight, we had a magic walk under the curtains of water, to finally get to the cache.
Thanks for the chance to see a spot I had never known existed.

I have been wanting to do this cache for quite a while but whenever I was nearby, I never had my GPS on me. Finally found the cache after approching from the wrong direction & trying to bushbash my way in the right direction (not a wise decision).
By the time I arrived, it was starting to feel like an epic adventure. Had to sit down & regain some perspective.
Great cache in a great locale & I loved the concept.

This was an excellent cache. We'd walked around from Echo Point along the very well constructed and maintained Two Creeks track which we had to ourselves on this quite warm & muggy day, doing a couple of other caches along the way. On finding the cache we took it a short distance away to a rocky point at a creek junction where we spent some time having lunch, doing the log duties and perusing all the old log entries (my hasn't this cache been here a while). It was a lovely spot and there was a delightul and welcome breeze coming off the waterway to cool us down. We took the opportunity to take our shoes off and soak our feet in the refreshing creekwater. Interesting to note how many muggles have found this one over the years. We left a couple of swaps but took nowt. The mtn-man Reviewer "coin" is still here but no sign of either the Canada coin or the Old Woody TB. The A Adrift TB was actually retrieved from Two Creeks. We left the Boonie TB. Lovely walk to a great cache - shouldn't be missed if you're in the area.
Great Cache!!! Awesome fun looking for it. Came on bikes down the big dirt track!

A very nice day for a Kayak trip. Easy way to get close to GZ. Not much in the cache. The co ords were spot on. Thank You
A good walk in after doing Two Creeks cache. Thought I would take a short cut as my GPS said it was only 40 metres away.
Whoops, I made a slight miscalculation and didn't feel like swimming although the rain clouds were on their way. A quick scout around and I found a way round my problem and I was soon sitting down with a nice large ammo tin. I haven't seen one this big for a long time.
Hearing voices on the track I quickly made the necessary swaps and filled in the log and headed back to the main track.
All of this and I didn't even get my feet wet.
Thanks MRG for a great Sunday walk.

There were muggles everywhere around here today. With a landcare group up in the trees (weeding etc) and boats on the water in some sort of event / training.
Any way after a bit of a walk the cache was soon in hand.
TFTC
ps forgot to note that while logging in there was an entry from a muggle who had spotted a cacher "stashing" some thing in the bush so she had come back to see what it was and was happy to sign the log. maybe a new found cacher in our midst

Great spot for a cache. Walked in circles for a while due to bad GPS signal, but after it decided to find the right coordinates, they were spot on. TFTC. Shongololos
A beautiful day for caching, but we were short of time. an old muggle suggested that there may have been a bridge up ahead, but the option of fording the creek seemed to easy (at the time that was!). Why does water always look shallower than it really is? Once on the island an easy find - and a very well maintaiuned cache, so thank you very much for this. TNLN.
Thanks to a bit of bark - we kept our feet dry ... then thank to the big feet of one of our party stepping on the box ... we found it in seconds. Dropped off Texus Holdem (sorry lost the number), picked up Elf.
Another part of this great walk. Found cache easily and it's in good condition. Swapped over some TB's and signed log, nearly got sprung coming up the banks by a dog walker. We had a chat and went our separate ways. Thanks for bringing me here. Cheers
With a clear, blue sky, warm morning, and two caches to hunt, we couldn't have asked for a more pleasant Saturday! We don't know this area, so checked Google Earth to see if there was an entry point to both caches. S33 46.136 E151 11.563 (Carlyle Rd. in front of a playground) turned out to be the perfect choice, and both caches were accessed easily. We really enjoyed walking along this beautiful, scenic track, and the variety of bird song added to our delight - we even heard male Whipbirds calling and females answering. We saw the occasional walker (some with dogs), joggers and bicyclists, but for the most part we had the track to ourselves. We did cross paths with one interesting older gentlemen twice, the first time on our way to the cache "Two Creeks", and again on our way to "Wilson". He stopped to chat the second time, and mentioned a Stag Horn growing on a tree nearby. After he disappeared down the track, we easily walked through the narrow strip of mangroves (it was damp, but we didn't even get mud on the bottom of our shoes). The coords were spot on! Nice ammo can, and we were surprised to find a plastic cache within. Took nothing, left a new log book, and signed it. We thought we'd look for the Stag Horn on the way back; and sure enough, there it was just off the track. It was as surprising as the healthy stand of Palms (Date?) along this track! Thank you for sharing this lovely area, nice walking track, and of course for the cache MRG!

Visited cache to drop off replacement log book - thanks to Pip & Robbie for leaving a notebook for log. Wilson is now all fixed up and back in business. The ammo box should keep contents dry in this damp area.
Also dropped off German Geo coin. BJF

For reasons unknown I had left doing this for ages. Very odd seeing it’s only a couple of kilometres from home. As I passed Tryon oval on my way to the start of the track there were stacks runners warming up. I couldn't believe I timed this with the start of "The Great NOSH Footrace", from Lindfield to Seaforth. The route for this race passes right by the Cache and there are usually a couple of hundred entries. I pushed on regardless and as I was taking a shortcut I managed to beat the first of the runners to the Cache by seconds.
The log is a bit damp still but useable ... just, nice spot, just a bit crowded today.

We first found this cache a few years ago by accident. Were walking there again recently and remembered about geocaching. We've now joined up and have since found others in this area. Guess we'll have to buy a GPS now then. GSPVX

Popped in as walking by. Cache very exposed. replaced some of the camoflague. Log unusable. Very wet. No TBs in sight.
Nice Hide after finding the other one close by. What a great place for a morning stroll. The log is very wet. Someone should look at this cache. TFTC
Found this one with Mattkk. Came by canoe. Very muddy landing at low tide. Lots of crabs about. Nice location. Picnicked accross the water in the national park.
Found this one with my brother who was visiting from Canada. Arrived by sea. Lots of mud!! Great location with a walking path close by.
we actually found it today (4th) see note below about damp log book. plenty of walkers along the well kept path. TFTC
tide was low and cache was found, however the moisture has got in and both the pens and log are wet. TFTC TNLN
My gizmo says that I was within 90' of GZ, but the monster high tide(as described by a local who happened to be passing by) prevented my from beginning the search....I'm not familiar with the term, gumboots, but if they are anything like high-waders, I needed them....Ah well, I did find 4 of 5 for the long day of walking the area. tv
Great locaton, I've been running and riding this track for years and never knew this cache was here . Signed log, left a glow stick, took nothing, re-hid the cahce. Was very early in the morning but still needed to wait for some walkers to leave the area.
(Log book was very wet, first page I wrote on fell apart but was able to find a semi-dry page further on to write on. Replaced the split zip lock bag, that will stop the book getting wetter but is not going to help it to dry. Log book probably needs a dose of hair dryer or a day in the sun. Can't see how water manged to get into that container though).
thanks for a great cache MMcl

We set out to find two quick caches this afternoon on my RDO Monday for September, this was our first and all went quite well as we found the cache without delay, Nice little

no swaps today but we did drop off a coin. Thanks for bringing us here Cheers

... following on from our success with the Two Creeks cache, the Fab Fit and Forty girls quickly found Wilson - but wondered about the name?! Thanks for providing the cache, well maintained although it was on the ground and we thought that at high tide it might float around, so left it in a slightly elevated position (same gps location).
found it after a lovely picnic on the point. spotted from about ten metres away and adjusted so it would be harder for the next cacher.

Put the hide back together a little better. Now requires a bit of effort to spot rather than spotting it 10m away!

We had a quick look at this on a couple of weeks ago when we did the nearby "two creeks" cache to plan our attack.
A dead-low tide late this afternoon provided the opportunity. No gumboots were necessary, and once you were down to water level, it was an easy walk into the cache location. Being aware of previous logs, we kept a sharp look-out for pirates, but with none to be seen, we had the whole island to ourselves (and 100,000,000 spiders).
The container was exposed and in plain view as we approached - it's a bit better hidden now. The lid is cracked and the container needs replacing. Not having a spare container we placed the whole thing in a zip-lock bag for protection. The cache site looks high and dry from tides but rain will definately be a problem. The double-bagged logbook is nice and dry but some swaps have been damaged.
Could the next finder (or the cache owner) please bring a new cache container (about 15 x 15 x 10cm sistima) or a large zip-lock bag.

Second find on the two creeks track. Local knowledge assisted a quick find. Cache was elevated to avoid the peroidic inundation, it wasn't exactly well hidden, but it is a bit off the beaten track so wouldn't be spotted by passers by.
Saw a stingray and some fish swimming in the creek searching for a meal on the high tide.

Chose the wrong path to approach the cache. Realised my error and found the correct path to the cache. Easily found, but like past finders, the container needs replacing ASAP. I placed a silica gel in the bag with the log book.
Nice find without the notes needed. Cache was nice and dry, although from it's current location I can't believe it hasn't floated away in high waters. Should it be tethered in some way?

Had not intended to do this today, but at 20m to go I thought I would have a look. You can look right at this cache from the track and not know its there, clever hide, as already stated lid has perished with the UVlight, though inside is remarkably dry. TNLN
A fun walk and search with the kids and good excuse to try out our new GPS receiver.
A nice walk into this cache, unfortunately as I joined the last path, all my Sats disappeared! I walked to the end of the path and sat in the sun while the GPS struggles to find itself again.
When it was ready I headed back.
I see what you mean about the island. Fortunately to day was a dry foot day.
Thanks, Robmc.

Found it after a nice walk from Roseville Chase. Took a small reflector, shaped as a hand, and left an hourglass in a green box.
Practicing orienteering. Used the geocache as the target. Difficult track straight down from end Wellington Rd, seems to have been deliberately blocked. Return via slightly longer route, where track in better condition. Cache in need of new container. Walked past on Two creeks track lots of times but never ventured on to the island before. Thanks for the hunt. Cheers Shnappstix
A nice little walk.
We were following a family with 2 dogs and one of the dogs kept running back to us, whilst we were trying to slow down so we could then look for the cache, was very funny, but they moved on in the end.
Yep - the lid is cracked, but the cache was upside down and suprisingly dry inside, but who knows for how long though...
Left 1 army man, took nothing.

Took me a while to find a way in that I could negotiate without trampling the legions of soldier crabs garding the cache. Managed to take the hardest way there before finding the easy way out, as per Geocaching tradition.
Cache lid still very cracked. Still needs a replacement container. Perhaps someone could help MRG out? Otherwise, great to see such an old cache still up and running. Thanks MRG.

Found on second attempt. Tried this one a couple of weeks ago but had my datum setting wrong on the GPS and ended up searching in an area nowhere near the actual cache. After three such failures I knew something was wrong and after finally working it out, we set off again and found the cache without too many problems. Josh swapped some toy skittles for a badge and I grabed the Kiwi Cacher TB. Lovely location!
Found around 11.15am

First cache find in Australia! Parked at the top of one set of steps and walked down to the path round the creek with my sister-in-law and her dog. We left the path where to find the cache only to find we were on the wrong side of the creek. So it was back to the path to cross the bridge to get to the correct side. Once there the cache as easy to find as it was a little exposed. Signed the log, TNLN and covered the cache to make it less visible.
Aaaaarrrrgh me hearties, the treasure on this here island be plundered good and proper. The tides were kind & the winds were fair, for the 5 year old aboard our party to spot these goodies from afar.
Took the moster truck TB & left a train.

After an aborted attempt at this previously, I consulted the maps to find a way in. Easy to get to, if you know how! Everything seemed to be in good condition, so I signed the log and left the Monster truck TB. Then I adjusted the camouflage.

DAK and I gave this our best shot, but we were unable to get close enough to start searching. We tried approaches from two sides, but in the dark, we were unable to find the correct path in. Eventually we decided that it would be better give it a away for today, and attempt the remaining two caches on our list. In hindsight, it may not have been such a great idea, as we were only able to attempt one of them, and we failed on this one as well.
Thanks for showing us the area and for the cache, despite not being able to get close enough to it.

First of two DNFs for the night in company with fellow Victorian cacher, Muzza. Actually, it wasn't a case of not finding the cache, but not being able to find a way into where the cache was hidden! We entered from Carlyle Rd, and walked along one side of the water, and got to within 23m of the cache, but with water between us and it. From what we could see in the dark, the cache seemed to be in a grassed area. We tried a different approach on the other side of the water, but our altitude was way too high, and the way down to the water was thick bush. After spending about an hour in the hunt we had to admit that we didn't have the requisite local knowledge (or the boat required) to find the way in. We gave it away at 2100. We were to experience the same frustration while looking for an HQ panel van.
Wonderful walk through bird song filled bushland, with a lovely view over the water.
Quaint wooden bridges crossing shady creeks and mossy green boulders. Dripping, ochre-red overhangs and hundred-year-old stone seats. Mangroves and glassworts.
The pile of sticks gave the cache away. It's quite dry. Took nothing, left nothing.
Fabulous cache, one of the best I've ever done. Thanks MRG.

Decided to have a day of kayak caching and this one was first on the list. We cannot believe that this one has not been muggled as it seemed so obvious. A nice cache to start the day. TNLN.
Lovely Sunday afternoon stroll. We joined the track on the northern side of the Bridge which probably wasn't the best choice. It was a bit swampy underfoot at the cache site so had a picnic lunch on the rocks. No volleyball there. Lady still watching over treasure.
I took a less conventional way to find this cache. Came in from the end of Wellington rd. Walked through a retirement village and bush-bashed my way down the hill behind it. A few minor hiccups trying to find my way down a rather hefty cliff, but perserverance paid off and found my way down to the main path. GPS locn pretty much spot on. My first cache found, so was quite excited...
Took the two boys for a run in the car
To a geocache that was not far
A quick one I would have to say
There was not a lot left in this day
Thought I’d be smart and head straight to the stash
The other side of the deep creek lay the geocache
Slipping sliding with two kids in tow
Around the long way we had to go
Through the bushes and trees we ruffed
Found the cache all buggered and stuffed
Placed a snake and pirate eye patch
The glow light the kids did snatch
In the cache I also left Miss Monarch
Ran to the car before it got dark
Nice quick afternoon walk around the river, the creek had some water going after today's rain. Good spot, thanks MRG.
I was left holding the boat as the "we don't want to get our feet wet" gang jumped ashore and raced off. A great spot for a cache. TNlN Thanks Wiz

After doning our caching pirate outfits, we assumed the position aboard the HMAS Oyster Cruncher and headed off, at a medium pace toward the first of 5 caches by water. The tides were good, and we had an easy time of it.
As dave said i was being slack and just coasting along not finding any yet today I decided to do something about it. I found the cache easily enough, no basketball, but an unhappy tennis ball who now has a face and guards the cache.
Who is the person in the photo frame?
No swaps this time around and back aboard the HMAS Oyster Cruncher for more plundering in other places.

OK. Number 9 for the day and it was time to hit the water. With 4 of us in my little boat, we were only travelling at 11kph. We landed within a few steps of the cache, did the biz and were gone. TNLN. Thanks MRG.
WILSON!!!!! WILSON!!!!! We're over here. Thanks to Swag Agg for providing the means of transport to get to this cache. A quick landing and the cache was ours. No basketballs here, just a tennis ball. TNLN
Good track around to the cache, was lucky it was low tide and didn't get wet crossing to the island. TN but left a 4x4 Jeep travel bug for Wilson to do some bush bashing for a while
MRG saw Jeep TB pop up in our cache, was close by so went on evening bush bash to pick it up and do cache check.
Was chasing a couple of the Jeep TB's when caching in Alaska last year - great to see one in Australia. Will place next weekend.

The pairing of Muddy Diver and Dernel is succesful once more. Owing to a limited amount of time by non geo wives, we didnt hang around to take in the local park which looked delightful. Much to dissapointment of muggle Steve who is toitering on the brink of becoming a non muggle!
Took a direct route through what looked like a path and found a cultivated garden of a certain desireable "weed" garden. Nice spot for lunch!
TNLNSL Cache is in good condition but fairly overloaded.
Thanks for the cache.

Second find of the day...
Cache container is chock o block..!
Nice walk also with a couple of wrong turns here and there.
Signed the log as TNLNSL, repositioned the cache after Muddy Diver signed it as well, only to discover i had not replaced the purple beads!!
So took the beads to free up some cache space..
Dernel

Well after taking a few wrong turns to find the track we went in search of Wilson.
We then took a few wrong turns on the tracks and ended up on the wrong side of the river, but we eventually found the elusive wilson.
He still seems happy living alone on his island.
We took some balloons and left a purple necklace.
Once again we had fun.

Two things made this cache difficult.
1. taking the wrong path.
2. trying to get all the stuff back in and the lid back on
Nice walk in though

What a fun cache. Took me a while to find it, had a good laugh when I did. This is a great AND practicle hiding spot.
Opened the balloons and took a handful cause i thought they were water ballons.. oh well, can decorate the house

Did this one with Dad(CrowMage) and friends. Poured down with rain just as we made it back to the cars.
Gave in to popular demand by GeoKiddies and went in search of Wilson this afternoon. As usual once I get them to GZ the GeoKiddies do the rest. Manage to get back to the vehicles just before the heavens opened up.
