Hmm, no luck for such an easy cache. Both sides of pine investigated but I assume someone thought they had found some trash to pick up....
Recent logging suggests cache has been disturbed. Hunted in obvious places but couldn't find.
In Karamea for a couple of days caching.
Done Oparara this morning. Now time to do some of the "local" hides
Ooh. This wasn't too flash.
The side of the trunk that the cache is on is perfectly sanitary but not the other side.
Pity that I went to the "other" side first!

Nice and quiet here. Found this one on our way to the beach. It isn't really a beach day, but the views are nice as well.

After a 'could not look' at the aerodrome it was a quick find in the first place checked here. Which was lucky as people were walking towards the area down the street as we left.
Thanks.
Thanks.
On the way back from the Oparara Arch we made a side journey to pick this one up. TFTC!!!
I was fortunate enough to be able to squeeze an 11 day holiday out of two leave days!! I headed out west to find some caches, see some sights, and relax before the madness of the semester hits. The weather was unbelievably good, only a bit of a storm over Arthur's Pass on the first day, otherwise hot and sunny. I found a great variety of caches, drive by's, walks, hikes, even a power trail. Thank you to all the CO's for their great hides!!!
Checked out today and replaced log with some waterproof paper.
Please ensure it is cover with what ever is around, leaf litter etc

What a beautiful for a cache. This was an early morning cache for us and not a sole around. TFTC.
We seem to have been incredibly lucky with the weather on this trip and we have also been lucky to be at the right place at the right time to see water in the best light. This was our first cache for the day and the conditions could not have been more perfect. Thanks for bringing us here
Travelling down the west coast we had to stop for some caches Thanks for taking the time to place the cache, hopefully by the time we finish this trip we don't have anymore mishaps (so far our new fridge has died, a person crashed into us and the brakes jammed up and it took two hours to sort out with no service and only the milk tanker stopping to see if we were ok, the water pump on the camper sounds sick all in the space of 4 days)
We went for a walk after dinner to stretch our legs after the long drive from Abel Tasman park. This cache was at the end of our route, but neither of us had thought to bring a pencil. We ended up using a stick and grass to mark RC67 in the logbook. Thanks for the smiley!
A few days in the top end of the West Coast and what great days they have been – fine hot clear sunny days – birds singing in the trees – lots of walking, food, and wine, and caches of course. We’ve been here before and done some of the caches, and so, we have knocked off a few more . Thanks, weenz, for your cache today, it has added to our enjoyment on a day in our magnificent country.
Quick find. Log paper is all damp. Sorry I did not have any bags to put them in. TFTC.
Thanks to all the owners of the geocaches that we found today on our way from Westport to Hector, Karamea and back to Westport. We had a lot of fun!
TFTC and greetings from Belgium.

Nice spot plus we continued down the road to the beach and took some nice photos. The log book is full but fortunately someone has added a piece of paper from their shopping list. The log book is squashed up in the bottom of the bottle. Must be time to do a maintenance run.
Finding some caches with billiehenny around Karamea before heading back to Christchurch later in the day. TFTC

After some beach time, it was a quick park and grab for us

Hi,
I'm a young geocacher from Switzerland and found this cache during our 6 weeks in New Zealand
Please read our story for this cache in Cache.Mike's log. He also answered any needed logging requirements
Thanks for those caches! [^]

From Wesport to Karamea today, though doubtful of getting there after the windstorm. Power out in Karamea when we got there made a cosy night in the hostel. No windfall issues here! A quick find. Thanks for the hide.
Nice wee spot which I ended up visiting twice. The first to find the cache and the second to retrieve a TB that I thought I was going to put in but it didn't fit. I realised I didn't have it two caches later so luckily not too far away. The first of many caches that I followed bullertrout's trail to today. TFTC 5371
Our last day in Karamea. The weather is not good for a big hike but perfect to find caches in and round Karamea.
Easy found. Thanks CO

12973… Not a huge variety of birdlife spotted at the Lagoon today, just a few pied stilts and ducks, and a cache of course, nice spot, TFTC.
Replaced a new cache container. Its now a small pill bottle, containing only a log BYO pen.
Still in the same spot by the pine tree, has a rock in front of it.

The clue gave an obvious place to look and the stones were a giveaway, but no cache. I suspect it has been muggled. Perhaps the owner could check.
A fast find cleaning up some caches before dinner with the sunset that just seemed to last forever. Left Stella Alpina GC. 39/41 caches found today. Thanks for the cache
Found while on our way out to the beach. Thankfully the place was deserted this time as each time we had passed there had been people around. TFTC.
Found it easily but access was very difficult due to the placement of some recently pruned tree branches. TFTC.
A find at a place without connectivity so a late log. Luck had it that GZ was deserted. The cache was well tucked away but no match for Hazedarus doing the snake moves in the wet grass trying to stay dry. TFTC
We expected to have some difficulty finding this cache due to the popularity of the area with campers but none at all while we were there. There has been some substantial "pruning" done around GZ but Hazedarus wasn't going to let it beat him. No TBs in the cache. TFTC.
I know this spot so we went straight to the cache. Even had time to check for whitebait.
A quick find while stopping for an extra day in Karamea after the Heaphy Track. Dropped mosquito TB so it can hang out with the West Coast sandflies. Definitely no other TBs present!
Tried 3 times to get this one but there were always freedom campers here at the times I tried
