On a day trip "Round the Loop" from Featherston to Palmerston North and back home to unlock adventure labs and make a dent in the Wheel of Challenges.Unfortunately these logs are going to be pretty generic. But in any case, all good here and TFTC.Fought blackberry and thistles to get the cache. Found a scrap inside to sign.Find #5570
31 December 2022 16:34 TFTC Skindo for placing this cache, number 12161 for me.
Day 3 of the holiday trip. Boys are cycling between Pahiatua and Waipukerau today, while I act as support crew and cache where I can.
Another unfound Skindo cache? How could I resist? Dodged the traffic to cross the road, and startled a Peacock sitting on the wall! The cache was quickly found and in good condition for its age.

With Gap (of Fap and Gap)... Roaming around the wide open spaces of the Manawatu this weekend. We’ve had the caching brakes on for far too long, and it’s a weekend to cut loose.
We found ourselves chasing down an Adventure Lab and its stages brought us across the ranges and into Woodville. We knew exactly what this meant… It’s time for some skindo shopping! We didn’t know what to expect here, but found the scene as described. A quick dig around and the cache was discovered in place too - A bit damp… Queue the evil laugh. Thanks skindo and TFTC.

with being a long weekend we decided on another trip to the Manawatu.
we based ourselves in Ashurst. with lots of caches around the general area.
main idea was to complete the 20/20 series which we had all the solves for now, plus anything else.
we checked ourselves into local pub, arriving just with enough time to have a couple of beers.
plan today head up thr valley one side back down the other.
caches all in fairly good order.
thanks to the owners for the placements.

QT is still there! Though barely managed a BFG on the log. Would not have noticed the yacht without a cache pointing it out. Cute indeed, thanks skindo!
After a visit at Cape Palliser we drove to Woodville and on that way we found some caches.
The cache container is still there!!

Found this one today while going from Lower Hutt to Hastings. Quick find but took ages to remove from its hide. Do I get an extra terrain star for pickles nearby? Signed log today.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
Logged together with Tarkal and Linnkal on our vacation trip to New Zeeland. Between looking at the great views and experience the typical NZ "things" we will mange to find some caches . This was one of them. The cache was quick to find on good description on our way after eaten some delishious cheesecakes.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
We don't exactly understand all the text on the buildings but are sure that someone is angry...
The cache was a quick find. Regards, paroja from the Netherlands.

Quickly spotted the cache, in the company of geomum, however retrieving was another story as there were thorny ranks in front of it... I kept hurting my hand, but wasn't going to give up. Success in the end. TFTC
cords spot on strait to it my number three of the six planed for today managed to hit my head on the overhead poll three times while retrieving and placing cache. trade made TFTC skindo.
After attending the event cache for 7SofA I thought it'd be rude to not at least grab one more Skindo cache.
Log book very damp and hard to sign, but just managed to get my name on. TFTC.

Quick dash in the rain to get this one. Luckily there was no one around and no goats to be seen
On a mission to find 50 caches in one day all at least 1 km apart. Left Hastings in the morning and collected the required 50 by the time we had reached Masteron. Mission achieved. Thanks for placing this cache and enabling us to complete our mission.
Smelt pretty bad at GZ. Loved the sailing boat and the signs. Part of the mission with Team Welsh to get 50 caches 1 Km apart. t4tc
Found while Gazzah giving instructions to tourist looking for the wind farm. TFTC
Hmmm, strange place, tftc!

Visiting Palmerston North for 'Yesterday's Treasures' on Saturday, so today, while friends went hunting for more treasures in Woodville, I went hunting for my treasures. Found this one on the way back after having lunch in Woodville with my friends. TFTC.
4:04:00 PM. Home for a week to catch up with the family. Out for a look around Palmy and catch up on a few caches. They have certainly sprung up in the last last 3 years since we were last back. A trip to Napier and back back today to show the better half a bit more of the country. Interesting spot. Kept watching our backs. TFTCSL
Swapped for a wooden toy truck. Odd spot for a boat...? Getting windy again. Tftc think this might be number 200 for us?
Over in the Hawkes Bay for Art Deco weekend. Found this one on the drive home. Had to wrestle with the local for this one. TFTC
A napot így ideje, hogy vizsgálja meg a Wairarapa újra. Talált ezt a cache. Köszönöm a geoláda. Kiváló!
Today we found many nice caches, betveen Carterton-Taupo.

Heading from Wairoa to Wellington via Cape Palliser. Took a small detour to attempt this one again. Foiled last time by a large goat which did a good job of stopping me getting to the cache. A quick find today. TFTC.

Didn't find it a year ago, but it was exactly where it should have been this time. Always interesting to see the changes occurring to this place. I see a new flag has arrived.
Last find for 2013. I skipped (figuratively speaking) over the road and quickly grabbed this cache while the kids were amused by the lambs.

The persistent protester. Me think he doth protest too much. But a familiar site to me.
We were puzzled by what it is that is tethered in the vicinity. Poor sod, a goat has been 'roped' into protesting too - or maybe that is a mascot for the crew in training. It is all very weird around here.
Cache in order; log signed, cache safely re-hidden, just as found.
TFTC found with team cacher Sweet P too
From here on in the day just kept getting better and better!
The Turtle strikes again!

I always look forward to seeing him out in his custom made multi storey sign writing van knowing there about to be a new poke at someone or something.

Something tells me that the nearby property owner is not a fan of authority?
Cache quickly located. Thanks for the cache.

First cache of the day. Was over here to see the christmas parade so thought we would pick up a few caches on the way.
After a quick stop to feed and water the troops, and a visit to Oosh, we were off again and this was the first one after a (very) late lunch. TFTC
After arriving at North Island we did a stop at this site.

Nice easy find. Coin still there because I'm new and was unsure what to do, however have read all the rules and instructions now so next time I will know what to do.
Quick stop in the metropolis that is before heading back into the countryside
Quick find. Last one of 15 skindo's this morning, which is my 137th skindo cache. Thanks skindo for all these caches.
Found nice and easily
A quick Park and Grab on the way through.

Our 2nd of the day. We walked along the road to this cache and it was a quick and easy find. Hope this boat does well in the america's cup. Just need someone to check the rudder. TFTC.
GPS not tracking properly this morning for some reason so after a couple of DNFs, the GPS barely needed here - the signature signs and flags clearly indicating the boundaries between friendly and hostile territory.
Nice quick find, thanks skindo.
Nice quick find, thanks skindo.
89th find for The Great Scouts Australia Geocaching Competition 2013. Found with sunhalo, TFTC skindo. What's with the boat! The site gives me an 'Under a Killing Moon' kind of vibe, might need to hire Tex Murphy to solve the mystery... For these reasons, favourite point awarded!
Found by a very pleased Jr Cacher #4. Love the description and the friendly goat.
Have to log a DNF as well, but worth a stop and wonder about the boat TFTH and surprises you come across along the road.
Team NZ have left Woodsville and have taken this cache with them because it isn't here anymore, but they did leave the goat.
Stopped but didn't get a chance to search. GZ was well defended by possibly the largest goat I have ever seen.

DNF at 5:37:26 AM. Wow - some of those slogans could be slanderous! Maybe they found people loitering around their place, got suspicious that they were being watched and went to investigate what was going on and found the cache? Anyway - we couldn't find it.

Like other logs have commented, looks like someone here has an issue with bureaucracy.
We looked high, we looked low, we looked in, we looked out, but today there was no way we could work this one out! Couldn't help but wonder if the big group from South Australia (14/10/12) got spotted and it's been removed as a suspect spy device . Resorted to the hint but still no luck. For whatever reason it didn't want to show itself to us today.
Thanks for the hunt anyway skindo .

Wow, someone is a bit upset with the local council, I reckon whatever they were doing with the site they were forced to close it. The cache was found in short order and we were back on the third leg of our Napier to Upper Hutt journey. The NorthIsland has been a pleasure to tour. Cheers!
Have noticed this before as we have passed by. Quick find, but hoped the property owner wasn't about to come out. There was a lot of banging noise as I was signed the log, only to look up and find a goat watching me (it had been hiding in its "shed" to keep dry from the persistent rain, but must have heard me). TFTC
It's so dark, we can't go sailing. But we can pick up a cache and a GC. Greetings from Australia, TFTC
Greetings from Australia. Found on a great holiday/cache hunt with J+J.au. This trip we intend to only travel about the North island but we will revisit NZ and travel in the South island aswell. We really enjoy the sights in NZ and caching shows us things out of the norm aswell. SL..TFTC
Perfect weather for sailing back home, but promised a trip south with the kids, so figured best get this cache so could feel like I almost got to go sailing
