We stayed at the rec reserve over night on our way to Canberra. We enjoyed our morning drive around the sleepy little town. Thanks O319 for placing and maintaining the cache for our enjoyment.
Out for another drive in the country with barb2e, picking up caches we didn't have time for the last time we were out here. TFTC Quick find
Full time Nomads, travelling around Australia since 2014. Staying a week or so in Yass, today we headed out late morning. Fantastic weather today, woo hoo!We did some more cache maintenance, replacing broken containers, or replacing wet soggy logs. It continues to surprise us how people are just about the numbers and don't take the time to update the CO on the condition of their caches. [B)] We always endeavour to leave caches that we find in great condition. (we carry a variety of cache containers and logsheets to assist with this)We had to work harder today for our smileys with coords a bit average today, some we found at 15mts away from our GZ.[^]TFTC O319
I was out for a drive after the rain and hail today. I stopped by this cache and made a quick find. With my name added to the log and everything returned as found, I continued on my way. TFTC
With Featherwaite we're on our way home from Canberra after the GeoBash Mega over Easter. On our way we set our route to take in LGAs that I have no finds in. Day 1 we made it to Wodonga and Day 2 we arrived in Terrick Terrick NP and Day 3 we were home.Unless stated this cache is in good condition.Apologies for the generic log.TFTC
Found with Team Waldron on our way back to Adelaide after attending the Capital GeoBash mega event in Canberra over the Easter weekend. After an early morning start ifrom Canberra we made our way to Wodonga for the night, finding caches along the way. Thanks for the cache O319!
After attending the GeoBash in Canberra we have a travel day to Wangaratta today. This was a little detour off the highway cache. Quick find. TFT
Exciting times over the next couple of weeks as we takeoff for the Capital GeoBash in Canberra! Its going to be a flood of Sandgropers over east, with a host of West Aussies making the trek east for the event. Im travelling with fellow Cockburn Crew members Leg5 and Barnzy12, starting in Sydney and hitting the road to Canberra, before returning back to Sydney. Honourary mention to our fellow member, Cravo10, who couldnt make it after recently introducing a new geocacher to the world the week prior. Once in Canberra, the agenda is set, well team up with a host of Western Australians to conquer caches. Collectively, were hoping to make it the biggest ever weekend for cache finding. Following the event, the journey continues back to Sydney, with a mission to clean up caches and new Local Government Areas (LGAs), ensuring no cache is left unturned in this epic geocaching adventure. Something tells me that well need a holiday after this, well, holiday. We have commenced our raid on Yass. All logs have been signed as WA to save space, abbreviation for our team of cachers from Western Australia, who are cleaning up the series together. Cheers O319! Join us in Augusta, in Western Australias South West, for WA Goes Big 2024 (GCAGV8Y) on Friday 20 to Sunday 22 September. Log your will attend now!
In Canberra for the GeoBash Mega, our WA group had planned to tackle this area north. Out and about for a full day of fun.Logs signed as WA. Apologies for generic logs today. Cache found with no issues. Cheers!
Out and about again, headed around Canberra for the MEGA. Super excited my first MEGA and heading over with 2 others from the Cockburn Crew. Today we are out with a group from Western Australia and signing the log as WA to save time and log space. This is 15185, hoping to clock over the 15,000 finds in the week in New South Wales and ACT.Thanks to O319 for the caches we found.OZMEGA2024 OZMEGA2024 OZMEGA2024 OZMEGA2024 OZMEGA2024 OZMEGA2024Head over to Australian Capital Territory for Capital GeoBash MEGA - Canberras first ever Mega Event. The official website - geobash.ozmega.com.auACT has over 4700 active caches, power trails, and over 100 Lab Adventures. Heaps of challenge caches, hikes for geocaches for all levels of skills and fitness.

For day number five attending the Canberra mega, I headed off with the WA5 (I C Nothing, meme28, geotrakka, burns345 & myself) as well as some other West Aussies (Barnzy12, Lachlan1.77 & neva2old) for a full day off caching in NSW around Yass and the surrounds.Along with the many caches we found we also signed off on a heap of challenges that I will see if I qualify for in the future. The day finished off by heading along to event HQ to join in the evening festivities.Logs today were signed WA.Thanks O319 for placing Great Southern Road - Bowning for me and others to find.I added my name to the log on 31/3/2024.This is find number 8618 for me.

A big plan was hatched in WA to spend today hitting Yass and surrounds. Living off not much sleep the teams from WA met at 5.30am with very big plans for the day. Lots of laughter and antics we have really enjoyed the variety of caches. Signing as a team - WASome logs are delayed - Apologies for that- its been hectic trying to keep up! Many thanks O319 for placing this hide for me to find and adding to my adventures.
The Cockburn Crew are on tour at the Capital Geobash in Canberra - travelling from Perth to Sydney, Canberra, Sydney and finally back to Perth.Today was day 3 and we had an absolute blast, after an earlier night last night we got up early to head to Yass and the surrounding areas to cleanup a bunch of caches inparticular whereigos and our personal favourite the challenge caches. We stopped in Yass and completed some high quality caches before venturing back to the trails. We completed a huge number of trails, challenges, whereigos, traditional, multis, earthcaches, labs, virtuals and puzzles. It really was a great day for variety. We enjoyed caching in territory we havent been before. Weve filled our boots with some rare DTs and DTTs and generally had a great time. Thanks to the COs for a great day and event. Logs signed as part of team WA/WAC (WA Crew)
Out n about with m4yb grabbing some caches. Another nice little one on the detour. Left one of my pathtag. Thanks for the hide & ?? O319
Megawat60 and I are on our way to the Capital Geobash! Another find, thanks for the opportunity!
We're nearly there, our trek to the Capital Geobash in Canberra, is just up the road and around a few corners, but a long way from our home town of Busselton, WA.It's been an awesome adventure so far, and really looking forward to the next two weeks in the NSW and ACT.It's great to be able to follow these roads less traveled, to explore the surrounds at our own pace, enjoying the countryside views, the antics of the cows in the paddocks, the horses who want to say hello with a nudge, without the hustle and bustle of suburbia.Where we wander, the places we go, the people we meet always make for an amazing adventure while we geocache.A big thanks to the COs for making our journey all the more interesting:-)TFTC
We found your cache today 18 March 2024 10:55am , while enjoying another day in our beautiful countryside. TFTC O319

On the way home to Sydney from Broken Hill. Decided to take the 'scenic Southern' route via Griffith and to visit sporadic caches along the way.TFTC
Heading home after our trip away for the winter. Stopped nearby for a few days so we could grab a few around this area. This was an easy enough find, once at GZ.Thanks for placing the cache and doing the maintenance needed, so we can find this cache.
I went to Harden today for the kite festival and thought I'd get a few caches on the way back towards Canberra. Nice quick grab in a quiet little town. TFTC
Quick find with Bogonghazy. Beware of the fat grey spider. Thanks for placing the geocache
On the way to Yass, we had only a short stop in Bowning. So we came back now to have a closer look.

TFTC. Spending some time in the sun at Jugiong Showgrounds. Went out for a drive along Red Hill Road to find some more caches. Found all that we attempted. Most were easy finds and some we had to work for. All makes for a great day caching.
Found on a trip from Adelaide to NSW and back with Freddo.
Our main target was ‘Frying Pan’ in the Chichester State Forest, near Barrington Tops north of Newcastle.
We allowed ourselves a week to travel there and back, taking a circuitous route through Victoria and NSW, camping each night and finding a range of caches of interest along the way.
Rains over the past few months meant a few detours along the way and plenty of water about, restricting access to some caches and camping areas. Many of the roads were quite chopped up with potholes and the mosquitoes were plentiful! But we had a good run with the weather, with just the odd shower, but mostly fine, warm and overcast.
Thanks O319 for the cache.

No trouble finding this cache.
We headed into the flooded eastern states for a week of geocaching fun. The mission was Frying Pan. The only December 2000 placed cache remaining in Australia. All other choices for this month are international. Traveling in style and comfort we selected the next cache on merit and forward movement. Some back tracking was required in the wettest areas. Wildlife seen included a lyre bird, king parrot and a single leech. Mozzies were a pest. Caches were found and signed. Wet logs were wet. Water does that. Numerous TOTTs were employed.
Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun.

A gloomy day so I decided to grab a buddy and we explored the roads near Binalong today. Some interesting locations and history, and a variety of cache containers. This cache was a straightforward find in the obvious spot, and isn in good condition.
Thanks, O319!

Fun find with a car full of caching colleagues - even better I wasn't driving however it was an unexpected addition to the day and for just a few short hours. Nice hide, quick find. TFTC O319.
After a short search the cache was discovered.
Another day in Yass, but with no rain predicted and little wind. Turned out to be a good day for caching with even a few bursts of sun.
We decided to again head out of town on a loop. We learned about Snakes of the World, Turtles of the World, Lizards of the World and even a few flags. This was mixed with a number of Challenge caches and trad or two that we past.
There were a few high ts we managed to get and also a few that were beyond our TOTT!
It was all capped off with a mega multi!
A big day, but quite successful.
Great to meet up with Sui along the way, a prolific and very creative hider.
Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache O319.

Found on a great day out with Turtle284 and Sui_001, who I believe have already both found this one. Awesome, I'll stay ahead of turtle for slightly longer!
Found the cache nicely tucked away. Removed all the tat that people leave in the cache. Got back in the car and it started to pour so that was great timing. Thanks.
After visiting this lovely town noticed a few cache around here decided to find them
Tankengine, Youban and I had a free day for caching, so when we saw a nice little bunch of new caches up around this area we decided to go for a drive.
We picked up way more caches than anticipated and saw some very interesting sights.

I was driving around the Yass district with Smudgeycat and stopped off here for a look around and to find the cache. We parked the car not too far from gz and then it was just a short walk across. No hint, grrr, but on approach I spotted a likely hiding place and the cache was soon spotted. Signed the log and then replaced it all as found. Also picked up the tb inside.
Then it was back to the car and onto the next place.
A fave point from me.

Number 3 of 20 finds today plus 5 AL's with no DNF's on a Canberra-Bowning-Binalong-Galong-Boorowa trip. A good day out!
Once at the GZ it was a relatively easy find. Returned to the car to fill out the log, then returned the cache to its hide. Thanks O319 for the cache. Another needed date ticked off my calendar.

A nice quick find whilst we were in the area. Sorry the log is so late. We were discussing how many times we have driven back and forth to and from Vic and NSW and hardly ever stopped in this area. Such a shame as there are some great views once you leave the highway. Thanks for the cache.
Re - visited this one with Mrwhiskers76 today. Travelling to Harden to see the grandparents for Easter. The grass was still quite wet from the dewy from this morning. Thank you! And have a great Easter !
Tricky as I have been living in this town for 20 years but am new to this game. Haha.
Out for some caching fun today with ilook4geo and decided to take aim at some on our as yet unfound list. Most were easy enough to find and all had their logs signed to record our visit. Thanks go to O319 for this cache placement.
Out for a caching run today with goingplaces2. Thanks go to each of the owners of the caches we found. Logs were signed, all caches were returned as found. Job done!

Stayed in van overnight near oval. Cache gave kids a chance to stretch legs! Cheers.
Day two of my journey of collecting caches and the original plan was to collect a few around Yass and then head to Tumut (via Gundagai) and do a lot more there, but I enjoyed the ones I started that I spent a lot more time around the former town. Had very little luck in Gundagai (it was tourist central) and had quite a few DNFs (or did not stops) but still cracked 50 for the day (all trads as I had no luck on multis today).
Quickly spotted the SPR and had the cache in hand. All good here.

Heading off to Canberra for the weekend so this will give me the chance to finish of the Wonders of the World Series.
Took the back tracks instead of the highways, much more scenic.
A nice easy find, and an interesting place to visit. lots of information about him and what went down here. We had some lunch at the Roll-on-In Cafe, very nice lunch and very friendly people here as well. Lots to do especially for the kids, bring them on down...
found it, signed it, replace it then onto the next.
