no luck with this one either. We were going to come back to stanthorpe to get the missed caches but with a lot of DNFs dating from September for at least 10 of them we might wait till the COs visit them and make sure they're still there Sad

DNF - I had a good look around for this one in the logical spot according to the hint and I also couldn't find it. I have been known to be cache blind in the past, but I think this one needs a visit from the cache owner please. Thanks Team Robins.

It's incredible how Geocaching shows you things in a town that you would never had known existed.
I have been on the road up to the lookout several times, yet never knew this was here.

We were unable to get to the MEGA Event earlier in the year so decided to come caching in Stanthorpe for the long weekend. This was our second day of caching.

A very unusual place to find a memorial. We would never have known it was here if not for geocaching. We had a look at the memorial itself before quickly finding the cache. TNLN TFTC.

We were rather surpised to find this rather nice memorial park located at the top of a hill with rather a steepish walk from the road. We're baby boomers so we managed OK, but what do they do on ANZAC Day? TFTC Team Robins.

Found at 11:49:00 AM, staying in Stanthorpe for a couple of days and grabbing a few caches before continuing on our way North to escape Wagga's winter. We had heard about the Apple series from fellow Wagga cachers so we decided to put Stanthorpe on our list of places to stay on our trip. We grabbed this one while doing the apple series.

Gunnie69 led us in this direction for the Earth cache nearby, & kdawg92 realised there was another here to be found! Gunnie headed back to the car (as he is a seasoned Stanthorpe cacher and has already scoured through most of the area) leaving kdawg92 and I to get ourselves confused over the hint, but still finding it relatively quickly.TFTC! Smile

After heading away from the Earth Cache nearby towards the car, I fired up the c:geo app and found that this cache was nearby so Silver Sovereign and myself decided to trek back up the hill and hunt for this cache. The hint wasn't much help, but with a few minutes of looking and locking down GZ, it was a quick find and log.

Misscheif18 and I walked up the slight hill to this one to see a young at heart 79 year old man jumping up and down on a large Granite Boulder upon having a chat with us on their way down he explained he was jumping up to show his wife that the Granite grips when dry but when wet becomes slippery because of the mose. HE also told us about the Boonoo Boonoo falls Near Tenterfied Anyways back to the cache we had an easy find and then went onto having a look around and took a few pics. Enjoyed this one. Thanks for bringing us here.

Found while attending the Mega. Most of the campers have gone but there are still a few of around.
Today we intend to finish off the apple and the elementary series. we took a small break form our plan and Mr Morris hiked up the hill to that very special view.

We had fun with caching few weeks here in Australia ( Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland and Australian Capital Territory ). Lots of geocaches and many sort of them too. We saw awesome places, weather was good all the time and people were friendly and polite. Caches were pretty similar like in our home country. Of course there were some exeptions. Nice and huge country!

I found this cache while visiting Australia from New Zealand and while staying in Stanthorpe for several days for the 2015 Mega Event. Today I joined forces with fellow kiwis Vamber and Yorkshirekiwi83 (signing our logs as "VYV" to save time and log space) for another day of caching around Stanthorpe. This was a nice quick find while driving around this morning. TFTC!

Vamber, myself and Vistra (signing as VYV) knew we had to make an early start today, we had a couple of goals, to get the 10 caches types in a day for Vamber, to finish the apple series, to attend some sessions at Mega GZ and my own private one was to get 35 caches to make the Mega itself my 7500th.

Walked up the hill and straight to the hide, so quickly retrieved. We were wondering in a town like Stanthorpe none rock gardens must be highly prized commodities. TFTC

Setting out with Alansee, to reign in some caches close to Stanthorpe, we were treated to a dry day with some periods of warm sunshine. This is one of the caches we found as we picked some more of Stan’s apples, walked beside the river, collected rubbish, followed the trail of a bushranger and waved for the camera at the Flashmob Event.

Arrived at GZ to complete a QLD MEGA lab cache. Whilst obtaining the relevant code word, discovered that there was a cache close by.

Found in good condition, signed and passed onto the next cacher.

Day three at the Mega and my mission is grab 11 different cache types in a day. Including lab caches, there are ten on offer around Stanthorpe today, as well as a virtual on top of Mt Cootha in Brisbane that I have been saving for just this occasion.

On the way down from Mt Marley where I collected the CITO, Earthcache and various puzzles, , it was time to grab a lab cache at the soldiers memorial.

Today is the 4th day of the QLD MEGA 2015 for Bristracker and I. We set out to get 10 different types of caches as well as finish off Stan's apples, lab caches and some other assorted caches. A cool memorial, and with a lab cache close by it was a must get cache. TFTC

**this is a late log** I have recently made a major upgrade to my GSAK license and found this lovely feature that automatically tells me what caches I have marked found in GSAK but never logged on geocaching.com!! Yay, Clyde, you can have my money anytime! So, I attended the Stanthorpe mega at the request of several members of the organsing team. Having been to every event designated "Mega" in Australia up to this time I almost felt an obligation to oblige. I knew I would have fun catching up with the many friends I've made Australia-wide and that caching would be done -- and done it was! These are the finds I made while in the area and I enjoyed all of them despite the rainy and a tad cold weather. I cached with Uni, Shonky, and SX as well as Moneydork throughout the weekend. Thanks to all who placed caches in the region, they were all enjoyable.

Day three at the MEGA, and T-Tech and I teamed up with Nurseyjulie. I have solved all the Stan's Apple and Elementary puzzles (with help from various friends), and they were my main targets for the weekend. Today we set out to hunt down as many of the Stan's Apple puzzles as possible today. We found Stan's Apple 5,6,7,9,10,13,14,16,18,19,20,21,22,23,24,25,26,27,28,31,33 and 34, another Puzzle, 8 Lab caches and 11 Traditional caches [^]

This is a lovely memorial. TFTC, and for bringing me to see this place, Team Robins.

Found on Day 3 of the Mega Event,
We started out signing the log book with our full names Mlroberts73 & Arielisme but the log books where getting full so we started to log as A&M we didn’t want to take up so much room with our full names..
