It was fun to do a multi with all the other caches we found. Of course this was the last one we grabbed. Reading past logs helped with locating the final. TFTC.
Walking, caching and smiling at the beach today. Enjoyed my stroll collecting all the info, with a couple of the waypoints trickier than I expected.
11 months without a find is way too long for such an excellent cache. Spectacular view at the final this morning also. Almost couldn't see final cache, but returned as found.
Much fun, thanks very much!

Went for an evening swim and just happened to notice that the manky old shower stand at Waypoint D has finally been replaced with something considerably more modern. This has necessitated a slight tweak of the description. Other waypoints checked too.
What a nice multi. Solved it last weekend but made my final search a bit to complicated, so back today and found it straight away. Tftc
Great multi. Had an awesome time on Rabbit Island with the grandparents and our mini-cacher. Couldn't find the final at first, hadn't gone deep enough. A tip from the CO sent us back to try again, and there it was. TFTC.
Last time we looked at this cache there were too many muggles around to attempt it, so we thought a nice quiet Tuesday afternoon was just the right time to get it done. Despite a few misgivings on some of the waypoints, our first attempt at the co-ordinates proved to be the correct ones and we made a nice quiet find.
Worked this out when the weather was warmer and we could still enjoy a swim but didn't get back till today - nice one! Thank you Sidewaze for another little adventure.
Somewhere along the line I miscalculated at one of the WPs which got me close, but never close enough.
Several failed attempts later, I sought the CO's confirmation and they pointed out where I might have gone wrong. I knew I was close, but I would never have found it with the numbers I had.
So, when out for a lunchtime drive today I decided to take a look at the updated location. Found it. Not in the first location, but in a far more sensible one.
There are some multi-visit caches that you are just glad to get done, but if you *are* after a nice time, you'll do far worse than several trips to Rabbit Island.

Our first multicache. Lucky we had it planned in advanced so brought along a GPS. Had a few hiccups. But eventual success thank you.
Nice one. Gathered up the info progressively, and then had a rethink about taps and showerheads, and nipped out tonight for a quick find at the final. Good one, thank you.
Worked out the likely GZ many months ago but every time we have passed since there have been too many muggles around. Today we have walked the eastern end of the island only to get back to the car 10 minutes before the gate shut so the way was clear to have a wee looksee. The spiders had moved in so mb did the finding and thankfully gk did the grab. Tftc we enjoyed this one
A caching trip to Nelson for the Seagnoid and I, G H 6 7 1 0 has a splitting........wood job to do for a friend so had to call off late yesterday. tS and I decided that caching Rabbit Island by bicycle, culminating in the event later in the day would be just the job. Due to a few big days this week I didn't get round to sorting out 2 M T Bs for us so I had to borrow one from work and t S had to use his road bike, skinny tyres and all.
A nice day weather wise with the sun shining proudly and nary a wisp of wind, almost perfect caching weather and after 6 hours cycling we'd found quite a few of Rabbit Island's caches, yay
Only one the C O sounded out the cache title did I 'get it', nice one Sidewaze. One of the lucky last few caches of the day and on the way home now. Got the coordinates as we cycled towards the event and I got W P E whilst collecting the car. the Seagnoid did the math and entered into the G P S and off we went. Upon arrival at G Z he did a cursory look before I reached and touched, and removed for a Q E F
T F T C Sidewaze. I did have a nice time thanks

[green] There is an event on at Rabbit Island, so Capperz and I thought this is a good opportunity to cache out the island. Couldn't quite do it, but got pretty close. Our start time got delayed as there was a hiccup with bicycles. I ended up having to use my road bike, skinny tyres and all. Wasn't a problem most of the way, but it sure was for some parts!
Ended up visiting most of the waypoints on the way to the event, one during the event and the final afterwards. Cache final was a nice appropriate location, given the title.
So... I spent all day on the bike. Dive a nice time? Ubit!

Great day for a cache hunt at rabbit island with the Aussie cousins. Had all 8 kids and 8 adults on the hunt. Swings had us for a while! Great hide.
With Cwnn , judithn, Hollytean and Poppy on a lovely Boxing day trip to Rabbit Island.
A bit of trouble involving, switching the coordinates between low-battery phones.
The seal at the GZ made it all worth it

For the sake of sanity we set off with sonia26642 for a crazy geocaching trip, aiming to cache until we drop. The main destination was Nelson and the ‘surrounding’ area, but then we ended up covering a few miles in three northernmost regions, plus a few in Canterbury. We were signing/stamping the log as 'Team Polak' or ‘TP’ for the two of us on this trip to save logbook space. We found a lot of different caches, city ones, road side, park side, up a hill and on an island, and we enjoyed every single one of them. It was good to be a professional thingfinder for a few days!
We had great fun and are grateful to all CO’s who placed caches for us to find, and help restore our sanity before returning to our other non-geocaching lives!!

This was one of the most epic weeks ever, and definitely my most epic caching week ever.
Me and mum headed up on a holiday north to Nelson and very wider surrounds. In total during the trip, we found almost 500 caches! (470 odd I think, but final results are yet to be in! ) We covered about 3000 odd km I think too. Crazy! And had our absolute best caching day ever too at 160 found. Spend 9 days travelling, caching, and having the best time ever!!
So sorry about not so epic logs, as otherwise this would probably take me the rest of my life to log, especially with two big events to organise coming up! Eeek!!
Almost every single log we signed as 'Team Polak' to avoid needing to write out both usernames taking up space on logsheet - as well as precious caching time!! Haha.
We did have a nice time collected this info on the way there, and then the cache on the way back
Consec caching day # 706

We visited WPs A and C together then split up, with me tasked to find D and StreetWalker B, meeting up again at WP E where we worked out the final. Hmmm, in the sea. Went over the questions again, that's when I discovered I hadn't read the question for D properly and had not included the shower heads or read the bit about being "on the stand" . We had to bike back there and double check, this time our final looked more plausible.
Decided to leave the find until later in the day. There was a muggle family very close to GZ, so I kept them distracted while StreetWalker searched. My job was easy because I discovered that I knew them, it was our neighbour's daughter and family. Good to finish with a find after a several DNFs today. TFTC.
BTW, the answer is Yes!

#8064. We used pedal power to get round all the WPs. Eventually we came up with some plausible coords, and it was a quick find on the way home at the end of day (nice hide!). TFTC.
Found on a lovely winters day out at Rabbit Island with a muggle friend. Enjoyed the walk and final hide. TFTC
Murphy's Law - When you can look somewhere twice and not find it then get help and on the third time there it is ! Thanks for this multi around rabbit island. It's a fab place and we have spent a few days walking around the woods but still have a lot to see. Thanks for bringing us to this place and for the cache.
Found with wandercat. Took some time to complete the stages as we had to double back a couple of times. Very popular place. TFTC
Found on our second day of caching on Rabbit island, travelling on our bikes. The island was very busy and every picnic spot was filled with groups celebrating Christmas. No problem collecting the clues to work out the final coordinates. GZ was a great idea...much better than say, down by the ferry to Mapua. This cache filled up the afternoon nicely. We did others as we passed by. Thanks for the fun.

In Nelson for a few days, and on grandchildren baby sitting duties. Ended up on Rabbit Island and noticed we were parked very close to GZ, so just had to do this as we departed. Info easily collected and cache quickly to hand. TFTC.

We found all the info some time ago but didn't have time to actually find the cache so decided to find it today. A quick and easy find. TFTC.
Found with the help of my trusty side kick, The Redshift. This is one of those quite satisfying caches where you can't believe it all works out IN The END. Unfortunately in our excitement to sign the log I suspect we missed a vital step in the Thinking Sidewaze series, ie, we forgot to look for a question to answer....DOH! Might have to return for another wee look....
Really liked going around collecting all the information for this cache. It was good fun thanks
Hi Brockoflower
The only question you need to answer is J for nice time? (ie didya have a nice time?) - - - Seems ya did so question answered. Cheers. Sidewaze.

I was not too sure on all the answers but decided to Keep Calm and Carry On which seemed to work out well (should remember that). Good chance to show the in-laws a different cache type and nice hide! Maybe 2 to go on this series now?! TFTC
With integersmirk and merrystinga, after a nice lunch at a winery, glad we could complete the puzzle after the little one had a feed and settled a bit. TFTC
Mummy and Daddy had a very nice lunch at seifreids with Grandad and Grandma who are visiting from Santiago. That's what they tell me - I slept right through it on daddy's chest. Afterwards we all went to the beach but I decided that I would rather be at home. We did manage to collect the info for this cache first and made a quick find before I fell asleep driving home, Grandad was very impressed by the hiding place!
Oops, sorry, I actually logged the travel bug drop-off in the wrong cache - i left it not in this one but 'who stole my ocean vista'. I'm very sorry about the mess up.

Answered the questions on the last visit to Rabbit Island months ago but ran out of time to stop and claim the prize on that day. Made sure we left time today and had it in hand very quickly TFTC
Solved on a wet Rabbit Island day but well worth it!!! Sneaky hide at final cache site!!
Great to finally get another Sidewaze Letter out of the way, a great multi completed on a cycle tour of the east of the Island.

We had collected the information from the various waypoints a couple of weeks ago but didn't have time to hunt down the cache. Today that was rectified on the way home after doing the two island caches and an unsuccessful hunt, albeit a brief one, for "Lucky Dip". Co-ords were spot on as usual so didn't take long to have cache in hand and signed log. TFTC.
Had another mission with Holymu to try and cross some of the last caches on the island off our list. We run out of time after we gathered the coords for this cache so had to leave it for our next visit. We zeroed in perfectly so the cache was soon in hand and the log signed. Thanks for making us revisit our own backyard over and over and liking it more each time.
a quick detour to the island....we met a man wearing only a strategically held towl at WP E !
Collected elements of this cache whilst knocking off some of the others, and left finding this till last. Nice little drive around the island. Lots of people out today! Cheers Gav [10336]
We got the required info as we went around some of the ohther caches in the area.
A quick find at GZ
A quick find at GZ
Mr KE collected the answers months ago but decided to leave the final for a family visit. Today was just perfect, enjoyed a wander with Ellie and the kids through the forest after finding the cache. Thanks.
A nice cache had help from some friends. The island was rather quiet and relaxed today unlike last time I was here. Thanks for the cache
Very wet today - I thought it was going to clear, but the rain just got heavier! Got there in the end, thanks for the exercise
6721 We sure did have a nice time at the beach today… brilliant sunny weather and enjoyed a great stroll along the beach. Cool views at the final, took a few photos, TFTC.
A really well worked multi, thanks.
Out on the MTB's and did the Wherigo at the same time.
Managed to avoid any back tracking.
We were totally puzzled all afternoon about the Sidewaze take on the cache name and then I read the cache description just before typing this log and the penny dropped. Major groans throughout the house
Rabbit Island is now complete (5 today) again ..... until next time.
I counted 26 smilies over the bridge. Popular spot.

We did thanks. We found the coordinates for GZ then spent more time completing 2 other caches on the island before signing the log for this one. A lovely afternoon to wander around the island. Thanks
Good multi-cache. Got all required numbers and picked up the cache when leaving the island. TFTC
Actually I had a spiffing good time having a picnic with the Famous Five. Really don't know how I missed this last time! TFTC #1974
wasn't long before we had the cache in our hands after solving the puzzles.

Off to Rabbit Island with Mrs Biggles and Lil' Stu for an event today. We went out early so we had time to do this cache before the action started. A nice tour of the island it as too with a surprise finish! TFTC, Biggles.
Nice One!!!!!!!!!!!! Great little multi on one of the world most famous geocaching islands. Did all of the ground work before the caching event and then picked up the final on the way home. GZ favorite fishing spot with the Grandkids. Really enjoying this series. Well done! Thanks
Saw this cache pop up the day after we had finished the last of the caches on the island. Just always happens this way .
Returned to the island today for the event being held later in the day so was an ideal time to take a stroll around another part of the island. had a great walk about picking up on all the co-ords then decided the drive would be quicker to the final. Nice hide here and had the cache soon in hand TFTC

Nice hide, shouldn't have any problems with this one being muggled,Found on my way home from the event.
Yes I had a great time but didn't find the cache. I had a wee tour collecting the numbers before the event but no luck where I ended up which seemed like a very likely spot. Someone else had been looking there before me too. A good reason to come back soon.
Had to be out at the island early to retrieve a cache that I couldnt have published so got out there well before the event (like 11am !!!! so we decided that we had plenty of time to collect the info for this cache which we did by walking it all - except for the final - had a short hunt around before deciding the obvious and Stretch0 had the cache in his hand enjoyed the walk round the island and a good hide at the end thanks for the cache signed log
Took note for you this time: 8:15. What an awesome cache to do on a bike! Had the place to myself this morning - not common for around here. E for Enjoyed this one. Bit worried you had your math wrong in places, but it all turned out to be flawlessly accurate! TFTC #CS#
I found a lot of caches with my Dad - Biggles - and never logged these online. Now I've got my own account, its time to set things straight. Thanks for all the fun, Flying Phoenix.
