I have parked my cachemobile and snail shell up in the McKee's Memorial Reserve, Ruby Bay. There are several toilet and shower blocks and fresh water available to campers. There is just one hiccup with the showers in that they have only cold water available. Brrrr! All this for $6/night. Very good price.
I have set myself a challenge for this year to have at least the same number of caches on each day of my calender as the number of years I have been caching.
Today the target is nine but I just might go over that number.
Cheers for the cache.

Easy find here and replaced as found, all good T F T C Sidewaze.
Today is International Geocaching Day which means a souvenir is up for grabs- yay, though I've recently gained all those pesky Mary Hyde ones so am not short of a bit of (virtual) Geo-bling. Broke the day into 3 distinct phases; Phase 1 was the event back in Blenheim, a 0700 start, flat white and gentle Geo-chat. Phase 2 was the inevitable trip over the hill, drop the girls off at the shops and dash off and grab a 'quick' 3 caches before moving them for Phase 3 - trip to Richmond Mall for them, and a trip up the Moo Tree Valley for me, culminating in a 2nd event of the day. All ion all a successful day, though the weather was not what was advertised, there was some leakage from the sky which was not all that welcome. My current 'poorly' G P S just about coped and gave up the treasure as required, it lives on (for now!)

A quick easy find the container was full of water so replaced the plastic bag log was a bit wet but OK Tftc Sidewaze
A seriously late log for this and another nearby cache. TregearP and I visited a cache that we'd had trouble with previously and this time came up gold. As we were leaving she said there was a cache nearby that we hadn't found and named it. I assured her we had, and sure enough on checking we found a promotional card for the Wellington Event New Zealand that we had left when we'd previously visited.
Apologies for the late log Sidewaze.

Catching up on a bit of reticent logging, looking for property in the area with SJT_NZ and a quick find. TFTC
I too like a nice silver birch; reminds me of the motherland and does make a change from pines.
Not having been found for a few month, this little wee fella was poking its head out from its hiding place.
So, having signed the log and grabbed the TB, I tucked him up a little better.
Thanks

Sidewaze has been particularly busy in this area. And we are grateful for it. #264
We had a big old silver birch next door to us when we lived in St Albans in Christchurch. StreetWalker absolutely loathed it. It shed all manner of debris onto our section plus where sure its roots caused the blockage of our pipes one time.
These trees are much more suited to the country side than small suburban gardens. TFTC.

#8419. When we got new neighbours I offered to help remove the silver birch. Unfortunately they liked it! Not sure if the tree is still there (we moved our 17 or 18 years ago). TFTC.

This was one of the most epic weeks ever, and definitely my most epic caching week ever.
Me and mum headed up on a holiday north to Nelson and very wider surrounds. In total during the trip, we found almost 500 caches! (470 odd I think, but final results are yet to be in! ) We covered about 3000 odd km I think too. Crazy! And had our absolute best caching day ever too at 160 found. Spend 9 days travelling, caching, and having the best time ever!!
So sorry about not so epic logs, as otherwise this would probably take me the rest of my life to log, especially with two big events to organise coming up! Eeek!!
Almost every single log we signed as 'Team Polak' to avoid needing to write out both usernames taking up space on logsheet - as well as precious caching time!! Haha.
Consec caching day # 704

For the sake of sanity we set off with sonia26642 for a crazy geocaching trip, aiming to cache until we drop. The main destination was Nelson and the ‘surrounding’ area, but then we ended up covering a few miles in three northernmost regions, plus a few in Canterbury. We were signing/stamping the log as 'Team Polak' or ‘TP’ for the two of us on this trip to save logbook space. We found a lot of different caches, city ones, road side, park side, up a hill and on an island, and we enjoyed every single one of them. It was good to be a professional thingfinder for a few days!
We had great fun and are grateful to all CO’s who placed caches for us to find, and help restore our sanity before returning to our other non-geocaching lives!!

A quick find while in the area today. No shining cuckoos today, it's getting near to the time when they need to be heading north to Asia for the winter. Signed log, TFTC
Quick find on a new year caching day in Moutere. I do like a silver birch. Thanks for the cache.
Actually found this last year but didnt appear to log it. Quiet here today. TFTC
Streaking today for a different goal and that is to achieve 30 in a day for my MGSc qualification. Mrs M in a weak moment agreed to navigate me around a pre-planned route and I would have to say without her assistance I would probably still be out there. Left home at 12:30 pm and back again at 5:00 pm with 29 under the belt and with #30 planned to be a night time FDF of The Streak #3 which is just 100m from home. Fingers crossed that doesn’t go belly up. Find #10 - a third of the way there and going well.
[maroon]Day 4 of our 5 day Easter caching roadtrip. Today we were heading from Nelson towards the Mini Trail near Motueka, going up one way and coming back the other.[/maroon]
A quick easy find. The logbook was abit discoloured from once being wet. Thanks for the cache

Today I Went for the 100 caches in 1 day. With a very early morning and just breaking even at lunch time with 50, it looked like it was going to be 12am to 12pm. But after a move out of the city they started to speed up, and i managed to grab the last at 20:30 with 106!! Thanks everyone for the caches that they have placed, from the ones that have been planed for months to the park and grabs
I think I found a few Sidewaze caches today, many thanks for your placements - always in pleasant spots. Parking here was not ideal but not around long enough for it to be much of a problem. TFTC
It's amazing how long some of these not too far off the beaten track caches can go between finds. Quick find today on a quiet road. Cache was full of water so I did my best to dry it but the drizzly day didn't help. TFTC
Found as part of a geocaching trip to and around Nelson. TFTC! Found on 28/8/2012 (but forgot to log the caches from this trip at the time!)
TFTC. A lovely grove indeed. No sight or sound of the Shining Cuckoos and my goodness you can certainly hear them when they are about.
Out for a few night caches in this area and this was our third stop. A quick find where expected, cache was wet inside but log ok. TFTC.
The birdies were all asleep on arrival at GZ. A simple find on a night caching run with Holymu. TFTC

Yep, 250ml container, at least that much water in it! Couldn't sign log. Nice trees, would burn well. TFTC
Not much room to park but no cars came past while we searched for the cache. Nice spot to sit under the trees. Thanks for the cache =)
Great drive around today hunting for geocaches. Found cache in good condition and located it quickly. SL TFTC
Last of my Christmas cache hunt. Thanks to magpiy for providing the motivation and transportation. Cheers!
We had an old fashioned Sunday drive - with a modern GPS - and this was our 6th find for the afternoon. TNLN TFTC
Out caching with Grumpy Ant.
Intrigued with the placement of this cache. Too late for the cuckoo.
