We found this cache but we are contacting the owner as it has been spoilt/ muggled. Please only go for this one after owner maintenance .
Awesome quick find. A lot of blackberry bushes which hindered a few finders. Well done Tia
I sent my Stringer in after this one and he went Straight to it. Thanks for another one Sidewaze. #266
Had to make a run to the 4-Square so I bagged this one on the way. Funny how you let the close ones go undiscovered. TFTC! And, as per the description, MIND THE DITCH!
we were taking my dad around for a drive to some of his old haunts on fathers day, he used to whitebait around here in the good old days. tftc
Oops! There's the ditch. A nice quick park and grab. First time down this road and what a nice road it is.

Know this place well enough - never realised that there was a hide nearby. I do now.
Thanks Sidewaze
Thanks Sidewaze

Streaking today for a different goal and that is to achieve 30 in a day for my MGSc qualification. Mrs M in a weak moment agreed to navigate me around a pre-planned route and I would have to say without her assistance I would probably still be out there. Left home at 12:30 pm and back again at 5:00 pm with 29 under the belt and with #30 planned to be a night time FDF of The Streak #3 which is just 100m from home. Fingers crossed that doesn’t go belly up. Find #3 for today. TFTC
[maroon]Day 4 of our 5 day Easter caching roadtrip. Today we were heading from Nelson towards the Mini Trail near Motueka, going up one way and coming back the other.[/maroon]
Quick easy find. I am sure people dont do the speed limit down this road. Thanks for the cache

Today I Went for the 100 caches in 1 day. With a very early morning and just breaking even at lunch time with 50, it looked like it was going to be 12am to 12pm. But after a move out of the city they started to speed up, and i managed to grab the last at 20:30 with 106!! Thanks everyone for the caches that they have placed, from the ones that have been planed for months to the park and grabs
Stopped by on Stringer Straight this afternoon and made a quick find of the cache. Pleased that there had been no rain for a while and the drain was a dry crossing. Thanks.
A short detour and we got to GZ. Hopped the ditch ok and followed the small geo trail to GZ for a quick find. We signed the log and re hid. TN LN TFTC
Tried to find this along time ago but got seriously muggled. This time I had two hitchhikers with me so introduced then to caching with this one and had the perfect trackable to drop of here. TFTC
The hint made this one easy, lucky because my phone reception was pretty bad in this area.

This cache was found as part of my epic as move down south to Christchurch from Auckland - A drive that involved around 3,000km, 350 caches, 14 days, and a bit of a detour through East Cape, Gisbourne, Napier/Hastings, some back roads in the Wairarapa, Cape Pallisier and Nelson/Tasman as well as every CANZ cache along the way that I was still missing. (Hence my excuse for the not as interesting log as I usually try to make mine.) But thanks to every awesome amazing as cacher that placed caches along these roads, you made my trip awesome, and very cache happy!
Good hint meant the hunt didn't have to be too long - the grass was very long and wet!
TFTC!!

Figured I should find a cache for Christmas. Had a DNF early this morning on my way to work so swung by to find this one on my way home. Quick find, TFTC. Now home for Xmas dinner. Merry Christmas!
Funny story I pull over to look for this one then a car pulls up to put out the open sign so I played the tourist card and start taking photos of it. Then they ask if I'm going to the show tonight. "Yup" I then hope in my van and drive away saying "I will see you later" they probably think I'm a really keen tourist now. Haha.
Found as part of a geocaching trip to and around Nelson. TFTC! Found on 27/8/2012 (but forgot to log the caches from this trip at the time!)
TFTC. No problems here today - retrieved while here on a caching mission with Flobberworm!
Not much danger here today with no other cars to be seen. A quick and find. TFTC
A quiet day caching with Holymu. This cache was just the excuse needed to stop and take in the ambiance. It makes a difference from traveling through at great speed. TFTC
First time along this road since the realignment several years ago. I could never understand the high accident rate along here, I travelled along here at least twice weekly for many years and never once saw anything close to an accident. It was also a popular whitebaiting spot for me and countless others. TFTC.
We had found this before we have woken up our tired friend sleeping in the car and before we took part in a concert (party) in the Playhouse nearby. I liked that Playhouse and the music very much. TFTC!
#6 for the day! Nearly had to pass on this, as a muggle with a camera was in the area. Luckily she walked down the road as a bus load of muggles entered the driveway. That was my chance for a speedy search, sign and hide. I hope you can read my writing! TFTC
I am back in the south island again geocaching , I am doing a road trip with this Nana and Auntie and having Good time bit disappointed that there areno swap in the small caches I have come across Thank for the Caches
I remember this straight from my youngers days, the new highway is great! Easy to find, just followed the elephant paths to it. Cheers

Didn't mind the ditch, and quickly jumped it to find the cache.
Nice one, Thanks.

This was our first cache this time in NZ! It is very near to our home and thank you for this nice place. TFTC.
The grass is deceivingly deep! Watch your step. Found after a little searching. Thanks!
Quick find.
Cache a little damp, we replaced ripped bag so hopefully will stay dry.

Very nice cabbage trees. Never been down this road before. Was rather peaceful to get off the main road. Dropped off Geo Coin. Thanks for the cache
Plenty of muggles driving pass wondering what we were doing TFTC Geokids enjoyed playing in the huge gravel hill nereby
Great drive around today hunting for geocaches. Found cache in good condition and located it quickly. SL TFTC
In a far far away time, long before earthquakes (well, about ten days before, actually), Annie & PB went geocaching in Nelson for Annie’s birthday. Some of the caches never got logged, and this was one of them. So we’re logging it now – with a, hopefully, never-to-be-repeated, repetitive log.
So, thanks for your cache, and I’m pretty sure we signed the log. We maybe even took a coin or TB on further travels, or possibly dropped one off. [?]

A nostalgic trip down the old road and a nice quick find on the way to a BBQ at Rabbit Island. TFTC.
Our map didn't show the new bypass and we were on it before we knew anything about it. Oh well, we'll just have to take the scenic route on another visit! Glad to find a cache we could work out how to get to along this route. Picked up Space Gate Geocoin not yet logged in here. SL. TFTC.
A belated log.
A forgotten road, oh the joys of the old coastal highway, that slow wandering line of cars, then one hoon with a death wish would try to pass the lot.

The second cache today where we met up with other cachers. They recommended a nearby cache but cricket calledf so we will do it next trip. 2 GPS's and the hint both lead us to GZ. TNLN TFTC
#1720 (18/30 on day 5 in Nelson). A muggle driving in to the theatre looked like she wondered what we were doing. It is indeed a peaceful spot with good estuary views. TFTC.
KM, found this one on 03 October 2010 at 12:54:00. this was our first cache today on what was meant to be an afternoon's caching to take us up to 70 finds... didn't quite pan out that way, but was great to explore this bit of the old coastal highway. I guess we used to go that way back when I was a lad and we travelled to visit cousins in Mot from Blenheim. Seeing these bends made me glad for the realigned road!
Found ok. I was a little bit worried when I noticed the logbook had a different name in it but decided it had to be it. TNLN SL TFTC
A very peacful place compared to what it used to be when it was the main road. Quick find on the way home.
very nice cache!
i just realized that there is one and i live only 500 metres away from the cache

I remember this danger spot well - the only place to pass on the old road hence all the terrible accidents. A very good example of how transit has improved the road conditions. TFTC #1493
