Looks like this one's definitely gone... shame, as we enjoyed bringing people here to show them the views! Ah well, hopefully someone else will be able to make use of the location and continue to bring people here. Thanks to everyone who visited
Pretty certain cache has gone. Bushes have had a good cut back, and clear out.
Thanks for showing me the view though.
Thanks for showing me the view though.
Unable to locate this cache. Spent sometime looking but came up empty handed. Thanks anyway some great views
Thanks for another hide. This one is well exposed in its current location; perhaps the bushes have been trimmed.
Found with Chosen1978 on Mega Trip Great views of the islands and beaches. Awesome
Day 2 of my trip to Auckland for the Mega event. Today I decided to head north to the Whangaparoa Peninsula to take in some of the views and then to explore the Dairy Flat area to look for some smiles before finishing off the day with some Fish and Chips. The day did not quite start out as intended, so I ended up going straight up the motorway.
After Silverdale, I headed farther along the peninsula to look for some views. Taking the CO's advice, I walked along the right to get to the park. After a quick scurrry along the fence the cache was spotted. It's not all that well concealed but maybe nobody stops here to enjoy the views.

Had a quick look around gz, but couldn't see anything. A couple of muggles turned up with a blanket and plonked themselves right in the middle of the reserve. We'll come back another day and do all 5 of them
Coords were a bit off for us but after widening our search we finally grabbed this one. TFTC
The GPS gave us a bad steer on this so we spent alot of time searching in the wrong place. Luckily Krackup re read the clue and quickly located the cache. Great views!
Was so clear today. We could see all the islands, it was such an awesome sight.
Cache was located quickly and we admired the nearby houses while filling in the log.

My sister and I got really excited about this geocaching thing, so we got straight to it and started on our first one which was very close to where we live (walking distance). Took us about 15min until we found it and we were both really excited. We will continue doing many more.
Great views at the end of a great day, thanks for putting this together for us to enjoy

Another nice quick find while up in auckland with cats&Dragons. We were trying to collect as many caches as possible to clear out this area. TFTC

Found by Lizzie10 and Roger of the Collie Crew over from the UK. visiting ChrisnDust.Luckily no juggles about,a glorious day so we sat anyway and enjoyed the beautiful views.Another nice easy find.TFTC.
In NZ for my mother in law's 90th birthday on the weekend. We had gone to Snow Planet with the wife's eldest son and family. We decided to introduce Mom to Geocaching on the way home.
Fortunately I had loaded a few caches into thee gismo, this was the eighth to call in on, heading home to Whangaparaoa Penisula.
After success at Living on the Edge, drove to this one, found the seat to let the gismo settle, had a look around, walked up, reached in and grabed it.
Paper work done, left a path tag of mine for the CO or the next finder, replaced the cache.
TFTC and the series, back next year for the rest. 2newkiwis

My fifth (and final) find in this outstanding WCW series. This one was fairly easy to find (unlike WCW #2). Again, nice camo and great sea views. Thank you so much for a very pleasant afternoon spent walking along the Whangaparaoa coastal walkway and finding all of the caches in this series.
Lots of islands, never realised there were so many, and a great spot to view them from.

A nice end to the series, was a nice quick find with a great view overlooking the water. TFTC and the series as a whole!
Last day in Auckland before the family starts heading home from our holiday. Early morning expedition out to get a few more caches. Started at this end as it was closer and worked backwards towards the first cache in the series. No problems finding cache but it was all damp inside. Took back to the car to clean up/dry out and put in a temp log sheet. Returning to GZ, one of the neighbours was looking out the window so played tourist with the camera until they moved away allowing the cache to go back to its hide. TFTC

Anyone planning to do this cache in the near future... if you could replace the log for us we'd be grateful, we have moved away from the area so not easy for us to replace it, but we'd like to keep this series going... many thanks in advance to anyone who may be able to help.
WOnderful views. We did took a while to look where the barier islands where. Thanks for this walk
[ At 14:00 NZST, very pleasant in the sun trying to dry the cache's contents. Relatively easy to find BUT contents and log very wet, unable to effectively dry contents. 1 item badly rusted and paper sodden. Nice view and TFTC ]
Great views out over the island, Hedge a bit high to see view when sitting on the seat. Had to watch lady having lunch by window near by,
First cache of the day, and took a little to get our cacher eyes tuned in. Cheers Gav [8169]
NZ11. Despite it raining cats and dogs and the grass being more like a wet sponge it came to hand quick enough. Thanks.

Nice place to notch up # 350. But had to be quick because the area was surrounded by in-your-face midges. Stopped long enough to glance at the view. Fab place. TFTC.
Found with Biggles while caching in the area. Another nice spot early in the morning. the neighbours were enjoying their breakfast so much they didn't even pay us any attention as we took in the view and sneakily found the cache. TFTC
Found on day 2 of a 3 day Auckland cache raid with Kiwi Explorer. A more relaxing day all round in which we ONLY found 68 caches. Looks like we were doing these in the wrong order this morning. Oh well a count down is as good as a count up. Great views from here too. TFTC, Biggles.
Not a bad view for a very grey day. Slightly pressed for time, so must return to find the remaining caches in this series.

Great lookout spot. Too hazy today to identify many of the islands. Soon spotted the cache though - thanks!

Our last cache of the day, what a superb spot views are stunning. Off to Auz in a couple of days so time to say good bye to the cache's in NZ until we visit again. TFTC
6356 Nice spot... brilliant clear skies meant we could almost see all ten islands, TFTC
Out caching with the Storeytellas on Waitangi day. As the tide was out we decided to walk right round the coastline but it quickly became apparent that we couldn't get to the caches from here! After a lovely walk though with fabulous views (and some scary little rockfalls coming down off the cliffs) we decided to drive back round to the cache, Fastastic views from GZ and a nice quick find once we had the right elevation.

Wow that is quite some view...pudding isl was just visible even without bino's TFTC
11.55am - I think we were mean't to start at #1 in series but had no problems finding this one so thought we would go back to front. TFTC
hadnt loaded the cache onto the garmin so we took the ipad out for a geocaching whirl and though we got to 1m and obvious places, search as we could nothing could be found, had a real good luck but either the new technology wasnt holding its own or the cache is on holiday. thanks for bringing us to a really great view anyway and the house up the road was very surprising!
Popped round to give it a bit of a clean after the last logger advised us it needed some tlc, but we found it surprisingly dry, so not much maintenance required. Rescued the TB though as it was a little squashed inside..
found it it ws petty wet in side , relocated a travel bug but it needs to move on fairly quickly as there was a lot of moisture in cache and now not much room
#673 A monster day caching in TWS land. 6/19. Did some of WCW last weekend, returned today to finish it off. Lovely Views, quick find. SL. TFTC.
my daughter and i have had a look about for the others in the area and my girl spotted this one within 5 min of being at the park.
she was over the moon, so that's 1 each we have grabbed the fridays crystal and will relocate it soon, left behind a time piece

met some other crazy cachers. Thought we would try and find the rest of the 5 caches. Looks like it might be a nice walk to the other 3
Wasn't in my most logical place, only found a wasps nest there, empty thankfully. Once it wasn't there it just had to be ....
Cache was half full off water, gave it its 10 minutes in the sun, but contents damp, log ok.

The hardest part was geting to GZ without sinking over ankle level in mud-the ground is saturated-nice hide -tftc
No trouble to find on a wet windy afternoon. Took a couple of little toys for jnr fish and left a couple by way of swaps. TFTC.
I had a little bit of time to kill, so I thought I'd do a few of these caches. The tide was full so I looked for the ones that weren't tide dependant. Thanks.
I used to know these streets fairly well, but it has been a loooooong time... and wasn't listening to the Chief navigator of the day well enough, so missed the turn for WCW #1, so we started here instead and did the series in reverse Twas a great way to spend a beautiful day & enjoy the views on the Peninsula. A quick easy find. TFTC!

Beautiful views from this spot today. Thanks for this series ...it has been an enjoyable day out.
Decided to have a trip to Whangaparoa Peninsular to get a few more smilie faces on the map. Did the WCW series in reverse order today so this was number 1 for us. Great series and the views were fantastic on a lovely sunny Sunday morning. TFTC
Beautiful views here today, the islands easy to identify. Geocoin dropped off. TFTC
Have been here before to admire the view. Very pretty on a sunny day like today. neighbour was busy in the kitchen so waited patiently to make the grab. TFTC
Great place for a cache and the last one in the series for us today. Yes we did find all the others but one of them took a bit longer than the others. TFTC
Was still trying to find a pen in the car when one of the smaller Seldomseens had the cache in hand already, great view thanks...
Great views from up here. Initially looking in the wrong place. Looked at the cache description which set me right. TFTC
A bit hazy to find all the islands. Great view. Watch out for the neighbours - that have the same view. TFTC
2375 FTF Yup, the out of towners got these two nailed!! Shame we can't hang around for the next two listings but thank you very much 2newkiwis for making our weekend trip so enjoyable. Hope to be back in your corner of the world in sometime soon so will have to claim the rest then. Keep up the great work - TFTCs
