It was a great chance to put faces to the names: "Ahh... so that's YOU!" Big Grin
My girls had a great time in the playground, and managed to avoid all the mozzies with a good dousing of repellent.
Logged a few coins & TB's in and out ...
To top off the day, I won the *FTF* rights too!
Thanks to all who came along and made it a great occasion.

Well done to those who found on unpublished cache(s). Don't assume there the puzzle caches unless they where regular containers. I will try to sort it all out on Monday when I get home. Feel free to pm me with the location on the unknown cache you found and I will tell you the gc code of it.

02-Oct-10
We had a very nice time sharing experiences with other cachers and generally having a good time. We found time to explore the bushland and find a few caches as well.

Thanks Swaggies and Coverthypnosis - it was a great day. We'll be back for your next one!

02-Oct-10
A magnificent day to say the least... My partner and I met lots of new people and put a lot of names to faces. Our Hosts (Swaggies & Swaggie2) were wonderful and made sure that everything went as smoothly as possible. I think the highlite of the day for me was meeting good friends and fellow Geocachers Pat & Jeff=bones1 who traveled all the way from the UK.
The weather couldn't have been any better and the general atmosphere was very friendly.
Thanks to all who came to this even cache today and made it possible.
We're looking forward to the next one at Strath Creek.

02-Oct-10
Attended this ace event today, lovely weather and what a fantastic park. I was a bit late in attending as I had to buy a house this morning. As you do.
Would have loved to have seen a bingy-bong or whatever the special local animals are. But they were hiding. Quite well as it happens.
Chewed the fat with many of my old friends - including 80Degrees, who kindly keep placing caches near to my home for me to FTF!
Missed 3up and TackleHead who must have been there in the morning. I was hoping for some more hair care tips from TackleHead, but I missed him - next time perhaps.
Went for a tramp around this amazing park, looking for other caches only found a couple before getting kicked out at 5pm by the Ranger lady. Gotta love a woman in uniform !
Thanks very much to The Swaggies and Coverthypnosis for organising this top experience.

02-Oct-10
Logging visiting TB's and GC's...

02-Oct-10
Thanks for a wonderful day organised so well by Swaggies and CovertHypnosis. The weather was ideal and a perfect location for the event. We attended with GeO_LIGHTLY and JindI Kid and had a great day mixing with other cachers. Our first event, and certainly not our last. Finding some caches was a bonus, but enjoying the company and location was the highlight.

02-Oct-10
Fronted up with 3up and The Empire to this wonderful park which is well worth the visit .
Spoke with some of our caching friends and then was off to explore a little more of the park and find a couple more caches .
Upon return I spoke with lemmykc who is working on a camo with his Grandfather great to see another quality camo - keep them coming .
Good to see some others that I had not yet met and more regulars were there but where was iamapom who is in desperate need of more
" hair tips " ?
However many more caches were being published this morning including " High and Icy V.2 " which was on the way home , we made a beeline for it hoping for a joint FTF which we did get !
Much effort putting in organising South East Meet-n-greet and caches being published for the event
A big thanks to The Swaggies and Coverthypnosis for bringing us to this beautiful place .

02-Oct-10
12.30pm,we had a big roundabout route to find our way to the event that was well worth it as after travelling from england then melbourne, to here where we were made so welcome by the huge amount of fellow cachers at this well organised event. lots of well thought out fun and games aswell. then we went for a long walk with madwizzard finding some caches, a big thank you to de ja vu who helped us with an answer to a cache, then later to alansee and muzza who later gave us a life saving lift back to the car park.we had a really great day thank you all and especially to the swaggies,patandjeff=bones1.

02-Oct-10
12.30pm. just dropping in a tb for some extra mileage it is "mainline man" from england, then i put it back in my pocket,patandjeff=bones1.

02-Oct-10
It was a beautiful day and an event made it even better.
I did have trouble finding the best place to get to the event as Nuvi really sent me up the garden path with directions.
This was no excuse as I know my way around this place yet my brain was slow today.
The event was great and it is always fun to catch up with other geocachers and meet other new to this addiction.
The time went quickly and a few caches were found, so all in all a great day.
Our thanks to Swaggies and Coverthypnosis for a great event.
Regards Mr.Coffee and the "the coffee van would have made a fortune today" Coffee Clan.

02-Oct-10
An ideal event.
Great venue, great weather, gracious hosts, things for all ages to do, some new caches and lots of enthusiastic cachers. Will definitely pencil it into the diary for next year - unless Essendon is in the Grand Final. Well done and thaks to Iian and Daph and Coverthypnosis.

02-Oct-10
Thanks for making our first meet and greet such a great day.

This was our 1st cache meet, as usual, quite awkward at times not knowing anyone, but was great to see and meet some faces behind the names. Looking forward to Melbourne's 1st to meet some nice folk again, plus some new faces. Unfortunately we did not have time to cache, as we were heading up to Inglewood for the weekend. Big thanks to The Swaggies and Coverthypnosis for setting up the event.
Cheers,
Andrew, Tracy & Isaac.

02-Oct-10
After 18 months of caching this was the first meet and greet event I had made it to. Had an absolute ball meeting many cachers that I'd only known about through reading logs. It was great to meet and talk to 80 degrees, the swaggies, trunksnsuch, coffee and cache, starruby and the Morris to name a few. Also to catch up with a good friend of mine Xraydelta1. Tyler, my 5yo son was with me and had fun playing on the nearby playground. Covert announced that some activites were about to begin, including flag closest to the coordinates, find the mystery cache and a raffle. Well, I must bring Tyler along to the next meet and greets as we were lucky enough to win the flag closest and the raffle. Tyler loved the raffle prize, his own head torch. Headed out and got a couple of new caches that had been placed for the event. Thanks to The Swaggies and Coverthypnosis for organising the event. Had a great time. Cheers. Marty and Tyler.

Great day, and lovely weather. Good to see all the usual suspects, and few new ones.
We scoffed our lunch, and then did a tour of most of the new caches.
Thanks for organizing the event and all the caches.
Thanks, Robmc.

02-Oct-10
I am really enjoyed myself and great to meet them. I would love to go there again if they organise again.
Lovely day for everyone today and doing with caches.
I would love to say many thanks to The Swaggies and coverthypnosis.

I had a long sleep in so I arrived a little bit later Very Happy I don't know how you made the weather play along but well done! Covert and I had some ideas about event-games which might be tested on live cachers at one point :bad:

The sun was shining, the company was good and there was a heap of new caches, you can't ask for more than that at an event. It was great to catch up with old friend as well as getting to know some new ones
Thanks to The Swaggies and Coverthypnosis for organizing a great day

02-Oct-10
What a fantastic event!!!! We came at about 11:00 and signed our name in the log book. We talked to The swaggies, Covert and many others before we went to do another close by cache. We came back, had more of a chat and got the updated co-ords to the girlie one by the Swaggies. Came back and had some lunch. Then we started our huge conversation with starruby about all things caching!! We exchanged trackacbles and talked about other caches. He kindly offered me a sausage, of which I could not refuse Smile. We then stayed for the group photo before we had to ski-daddle back home to watch the grandfinal. Thanks to The Swaggies and CovertHypnosis. for this most wonderful event and it was great to meet HEAPS of other cachers and put names to faces SmileSmileSmileSmileSmile

02-Oct-10
Hitched a ride with tacklehead and The Empire. Nice day and a great venue for an event. I enjoyed catching up those that were there before we had to head back to the West of the Yarra. I will come back and do some more caches in the Gardens. Thanks to The Swaggies and Coverthypnosis for staging the event and to all that came that made the vent. TN L TB

A lovely day for an event today. Lots of caching talk flying around and as ever great to meet cachers old and new. Pleasingly I got to meet some of the newer cachers today too. Had a great time later on with Muzza, strolling around to some of the new caches, while taxiing wounded and potentially late cachers around! Razz

Many thanks to Swaggies and Coverthypnosis for putting it all together. Big Grin

Rog and I rocked up to the event on time.

As we were standing around chatting the iPhones started buzzing.

New caches published!

Unfortunately for us we didn't have access to an iPhone. But lucky that covert came prepared with some cache sheets to hand out for those of us that weren't able to do a pocket query/have instant access.

Off Rog and I went at a quick pace to try and FTF at least one!

Anyways, it turns out we joint FTF 7 !! And one of those being an unpublished cache - we got first dibbs! YAY! Lucky us!

1.5h, 2 x snakes, 1 x echidna , 1 x small ratty looking brown creature and some 21K steps later, we returned and chatted with some cachers that turned up after we had wandered off.

All the time we were trying get hints and ideas to work out the last puzzle on the sheet... >=o| number puzzles bleh

We played some fun games!

Many thanks to The Swaggies and Coverthypnosis for hosting this event!

Made the trip across town to attend this one. It was great to meet and put faces to cachers and find a few as well. Had some long chats with many - can't go anywhere these days without finding someone you knew in the past. Looking forward to our next opportunity to participate in these great days. Thanks to The Swaggies and Coverthypnosis for the day.

Thanks to all the cachers who turned up on Grand Final day for a barby and chat at our event. We had a great time meeting you all, especially the younger ones who are the future of geocaching.
Thanks also to covert who did a great job with the fun & games and being the MC of the event. Some of us can now look forward to an afternoon of caching in our favorite local park.
We would also like to thank;
The Australian Pathtag Club, Trunksnsuch & Landsergruppe for informing us about the pathtag hobby.
Scubacrazy666 for the morning tea which went down well.
PrincessDiala for leaving the Geo Gnome behind. What do we do with this thing........ Sad. Last sighted it could be on its way to Bendigo to another cache with similar friends.
Thanks also to bones1 (Jeff & Pat) for coming all the way from the UK for our event. Big Grin
Thanks again to all the cachers who left the place clean and tidy as this is a "take in & take out" picnic area. Next year we will do the event and run a CITO event as well.
Below you will see some of the photos of the teams who attended, apologies if we missed you.
See you all again next year.

02-Oct-10
We slowly made our way to the South East Meet-n-Greet II event after a very late night/morning, one handy thing about being late was we were able to do a PQ before we left Smile Said our Hellos whilst the kids used the nearby equipment then started making our way around to find some of the nearby caches.
Many thanks to TheSwaggies and CovertHypnosis for all the work done organising today!

20-Jul-10
I get back from a caching trip to London a few days beforehand... should make it!

20-Jul-10
Might be able to come. We'll see whats happening closer to the event. Thanks

16-Jul-10
The short notice is a real problem - it means I have time to organise myself.

With the Organisers generous permission, The Aussie Pathtag Club will be in attendance in the guise of Trunksnsuch (& other committe if I can persuade them). Swaps, trades & tag-talk will be going on in one corner of the Event - all welcome to find out what those dang things are all about and to tell us where you found one hidden - we don't want to miss out on the geo-talk.

I'll also accept the kind offer of a bit of floor to put my sleeping bag on - I'll need it after we get through the Port.

16-Jul-10
We should be there assuming nothing unavoidable gets in the way. Looking forward to it.

15-Jul-10
I'm hoping to be there - just don't put out too many new caches, as I've been there at least 3 times since they opened the new Australian Garden section and I haven't managed to go inside yet - hopefully I can manage it this time Wink

13-Jul-10
Poo! That's on bug-out day for the Scouts Cuboree in Gembrook. I'll be packing up after spending a week surrounded by 3500 7-11yo Cub Scouts (therapy starts Monday!) but if I get a chance, I'll swing by. I'll be the sleep deprived cacher on his own mumbling in the corner

13-Jul-10
This day is one of my "must cache" days, so I'll be there.

(Would have been there anyway).
