When my previous plans for today were cancelled I decided I would instead take a drive to the Sunshine Coast and attend the CITO being held on Bribie Island. To make it worth the drive I decided to look for a few key caches on the way. I need another 3 caches to complete the D/T loop in a year challenge and this cache is one of the D/Ts I needed. Thankfully it was only a short detour off my normal route to the coast. I noticed that some others had commented on how easy this cache was and that was certainly my experience today. Once I figured out how to open and close the gate, it was just a short walk in with some long grass to contend with at GZ. There have been so many geocachers here over the years that the geotrail through the grass seems to be permanent now. Thanks miloryder for placing this cache all those years ago and for your ongoing maintenance!
The plan for today with Willis007 was to sign challenge caches on the north side. This one wasnt too far from one of the challenges so we made the slight detour here. Willis007 had signed this one years ago, but being fairly old and a good D/T, it was a good one to find. I followed a geotrail through tall grass and quickly found the cache. Logbook signed. All good here. Tftc
Wow that was a battle and a half to make my way through the long grass which was well above my head. Fortunately the cache was a quick find. TFTC miloryder
We looked for this cache after quite a lot of recent rain in the area and the high terrain rating was applicable here today. To reach GZ I had to venture through long grass well taller than me and navigate over fallen logs way below on the ground which were in water. Where there is a will there is a way and GZ was reached, log signed and replaced as found. Once out and on the wet track it was good to get a smiley here. Thanks for the adventure miloryder.
My last find for the evening, I had to overshoot my hotel by 5-10 minutes to get here, but I need this DT combo for my next loop so it wasnt really even a decision that needed making, it was just happening.Arrived at GZ with very very little phone battery and in the pitch black. It set off determined to get what I needed. After choosing a path to GZ and searching briefly I had cache in hand. Fortunately this was the case as I quickly scribbled in the log, replaced and concealed the cache, turned to head back to the path and my phone died. No torch, so slow navigation was in order, once back to the safety of a clear path I was back in the car and on my way to the hotel. Thanks for placing this cache for us to find.
Was a bit surprised to find this so easily, given the d/t. Maybe it was different when it was first published? I was in and out of the reserve in about one minute. Nice spot, beautiful tree! TFTC
Picked this cache out to fill a DT hole in my grid. Thought it might be tricky based on the DT so asked Rach to go along with me. Thought we might have a tricky search or have to jump a fence to shorten the walk as we have places to be! Easy park, easy gate, easy walk (56mtrs), geotrail, right there. Onto the next one TFTC, found with Rach.
Following a nearby find, it was an easy wander to this cache. Shazzar66 and I walked towards GZ on a pleasantly grassy trail, until about three meters before the cache. Then we needed to wade through shoulder-high grass to reach GZ.
Fortunately the cache was a relatively easy find. I believe Shazzar66, who had found the cache previously, had a significantly more difficult find, as the cache was buried! Today was an easy find. Thanks for the cache, miloryder

We were over this side of town visiting family.. We needed this cache due to its difficulty ratting .. The great thing about this game is the help you get from fellow Geo's. Many thanks Dylan.
#1 and only today. Cache was eventually found with the help of some previous finders. Thanks for coming out to help locate it. It was good to meet some geo-guru's.
We headed out to chase some tree fishing caches nearby and we decided to go find this cache to turn it into a yellow smiley face along the way, we are still waiting for our pole to arrive so The Green Geckos and Muggle 65 offered us to borrow theirs, while Muggle 65 was collecting a couple of caches in this area to complete his Difficulty and Terrain Loop.
Before leaving the new geocar (Track my adventures here D78QWZ) we read the description, hint, confirmed the difficulty and terrain. We set off to walk over towards the posted GZ for the search to commence. The MummaBear and the Cubs Gang started directing the group to where we needed to go. We started our to walk towards GZ, we were discussing about where this geocache could possibly located and what we were expecting.
Thankfully after a decent search in the wrong place. We made this find MUCH harder than what it needed to be and JLK started reading previous finders logs then realised who she needed to call to being the local postie BrisLions, within minutes, Muggle 65, DFC and Princess1005 had spotted the cache, then The Green Geckos retrieved the LITTLE CHEEKY BEAUTY and we added our little ink mark to the logbook. While JLK headed back to the geocar to start writing this log.

The nice DT rating brought me here. It was well covered but it didn’t take long to find. All good here, tftc miloryder
This evening, I had not planned on venturing out, but a newly published geocache in Joyner that I solved had changed my motivation. After cooking family dinner, I took a drive out to the area, and thus I made a few stops around Joyner taking walks along paths and through scrublands, before taking the opportunity to cross North Pine River and complete *Nocturnal* Wherigo. I thought the late-night timing of my visit meant this Wherigo would be idea, hence it was a long session walking around Mungarra Reserve. A nice evening to be out, but perhaps a later evening than what I ever envisaged.
Parking off Todds Road, I found this reserve's entrance gate, and followed the tracks to this geocache. This cache did take a bit of searching around, and it was around 5-10 minutes until making this cache find. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. The D/T ratings were probably a little overrated to what I found, but I guess it makes up for all of the 1.5 difficulty caches that took me 20 minutes to find! No koalas around here tonight that I could see. Thanks miloryder for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

I am on holidays this week and decided to come out this way and pick up some smileys. This cache looked interesting and i was hoping to spot a Koala .. I didnt spot any but i found the cache. Thank you for placing this cache here for us to enjoy
After council spot burn the geocache has been checked and all good now, dry with a new log. Good luck everyone.
Area has been burnt recently with back burning. Might need to CO to come check this cache out.
We'd planned to climb Mount Coolum today, but Jack has been poorly, so after getting a few chores out of the way this morning, I headed out to pickup a few caches.
This was a nice quick find and thankfully the grass had recently been cut so was easy to reach GZ.
Thanks!!

Not today. Had a scratch around but nothing too serious. Grass was dropping seeds and making me itchy! Will try another day with long sleeves!
Waded through water and long grass with a confused GPS before noticing a slight geotrail to a koala niche. The super well hidden cache could so easily have gone undetected. I'd call this find a miracle. TFTC miloryder.
Woah the grass is long, even over my head!

#6 for the day with Peppa and Giraffe 18. Peppa went one way Giraffe the other. We lost Peppa in the tall grass but definitely heard a 'found it's. Hopefully he'll find his way out. No koalas for us today.. thanks for the cache
The geogroup and I planned a day out... Dayboro was selected as our target area... Then I hatched a plan to complete the Unique Difficulty/Terrain Challenge... So I created my first ever list, and using the app's new abilities was able to see it nice and easily on the map...
My list originally had 29 caches, but I thought the margin of error to small so I extended it along the route that we would take and increased the list to 37... Much better odds.... And that would enable us to achieve a milestone for one of the group too...
So with PirateLinda at the helm, Giraffe18 up front, 2ManyTrailers left behind at work(that was NOT part of the plan) and me navigating from the backseat we set off from the other side of the river...
This was our sixth find, and was added to the list because its D/T combination... Even having read the previous finders comments I think I chose the most difficult way in... and it wasn't until I was at GZ that I had the "ah, there's the geotrail that was mentioned" moment... I took that way out... was a little disappointed that we didn't see any koalas... and I don't think I should talk about the trouble we had with the gate... that would just be embarrassing...tftc

After cruising a CITO just up the road today I needed this to cross off a D/T on my grid the grass was almost taller than I was. ( left a geo trail to the GZ) easy find in the end thanks for the cache
Given the ratings I was expecting something a bit harder. On arrival near gz I worked out where I was heading and given the dryness of the area, the task appeared a lot easier. I was right, quick find and log signed. Log is wet though and will need replacing shortly as it is nearly full. No koalas today sadly but I can see this would be a favourite spot for them. Thanks for placing here for our enjoyment. This is find number 300 for TeamLambo. Looking forward to the next 300 and seeing where it takes us.
We arrived close to GZ and parked the car, before heading for a nice walk in. As we arrived at GZ, we looked up to see a beautiful gumtree with a koala in it. The koala was awake and looked very curiously at us as we went about our business of collecting the geocache.
Aside from finding the geocache and adding our name to the log, it was lovely to also find a koala.
Thanks
Domsky

Being an older cache with an unusual D/T rating, I was keen for a visit after Tall Timber. I noticed someone else said they found a shortcut so decided to explore.
After following the path South and West from the playground, I spotted a possible creek crossing as soon as there was a clear area allowing access to the creek. It looked a bit steep and overgrown but doable. However, after a minute or two, I decided to leave it and just follow the path to see what happened.
The path led to the road, through a gate, over the bridge, back through a gate and then along the creek behind homes, past the point I had spotted from the other side and ultimately coming out at a culdesac.
Surveying the new homes and expanse of land beyond them, I had one of those moments of contemplation of how a new suburb gets built and what impact there is on the environment.
I then had a rather lengthy walk around the block before arriving at the green space which reassured me that koalas are valued and no houses will be getting built on this side of the road (hopefully).
After jumping a fence and then figuring out the gate, my phone took me right to a gumtree which fitted the description and recent logs. I proceeded to circle it, excavate it and scrub turkey it, to no avail.
After a long, hot walk, I really didn’t want a DNF but I couldn’t find a thing.
At last, I rechecked my phone and discovered it now wanted me to move quite a few metres away... to THAT gum tree. Groan!
A huge geotrail has taken care of the long grass, and although the cache was covered, it was quickly found. Gosh.
After signing up and replacing, I made my way out and back to my selected creek crossing point, near a metal railing. With care, this proved an excellent shortcut, and I didn’t even need to jump the creek, just step over it.
So all good in the end. TFTC and long may it remain here.

Finally after 3 visits and today I just stumbled on to GZ and after a quick search I was adding my name to that much sort after cache. Replaced as found. TFTC.
This one popped up on my radar as a cache that could help fill in a hole in the DT matrix. Plus, with all the bushfires around me at the moment, I was keen to see if I could spot a koala in an area of bushland that wasn't burned out. We didn't see any today, but we didn't venture very far in.
Nice quick find today. Unsure about the terrain rating here, clearly it was more difficult in the past. TNLNSL, TFTC

Found very quickly and easily today as it was actually uncovered. Added some camo to protect it. I suspect this used to be more challenging from some of the log comments, but we were very happy to end our long day down in Brisbane with this find, so TFTC.

That took a lot longer then it should’ve. After a lengthy search everywhere I eventually found it. A little digging was required however. TFTC
Took a while to find. Distracted looking for koalas maybe.
I found a reasonably quick way from the tall timber cache to this one, and walked about for a while. Where could the cache be? A more meticulous search turned up the cache.

Having been here with no luck some time back some mates had suggested I really needed to try again. Very quick find this time. No koalas but did vary some ghastly craftier back to the car with me. Felt a crawling upon my neck so reached around and managed to crush something with ooey gooey guts !!! Tftc
Alas no koalas to be spied today. We did the walk around GZ and could spy nothing, so had to resort to reading previous logs and found a clue in one of those which certainly helped and thereafter it was a quick find.
Down from Townsville to spend Xmas with my parents on the Sunny Coast and after picking up some T5 caches on Lake Kurwongbah today thanks to the kind loan of a kayak from JACS team I turned my attention to some challenges and some interesting DT's.
I expected this to be a lot harder but it was a simple find. Great news as we could then lift our heads to watch the Koala in the tree above. Awesome.
Thanks miloryder.

The DT on this one looked interesting so headed over plus any chance to see a Koala is welcome. We had limited elevation gear but the built on monkey works well in a lot of cases. The site of GZ was soon spotted and after some looking the hide was found and our name added to the log. TFTC.
Found at 1:42 PM GAFF3.
After completing the SHCS challenge series this morning, this cache seemed to be just a walk in the park! Well we got to GZ and do you think we could find the cache? We went around and around and then after doing some excavations we finally uncovered the little blighter. We were actually at one stage thinking of replacing the cache!
No koalas to be seen, however this was a very important D/T for us as it completed out 10th D/T grid loop
Thanks miloryder.

Got through the gate with ease then saw the fight to gz! Luckily we walked around until we found a better path. Searched for a little then decided to rethink and found it
I had parked a couple of hundred metres away worried there was some form of vehicle caveat in place. In hindsight I should have parked closer to the trail entrance because it was all quiet today.
My biggest problem with this cache was getting the gate open and then closed again. I just couldn’t get the latch to come off and I felt like I was trying to undo a chastity belt that has rusted into place. I felt like there wasn’t enough slack in the chain and I like things slack.
It took some time but I finally got the technique required to keep me moving. Maybe if I had of learnt this technique earlier I would have less money-sucking kids.
The grass looked long but rounding the corner there was a nice robo-trail to the cache. I found the cache quickly but then starting rueing the thought of going back through the gate from hell. I think that gate needs it’s own field puzzle attribute. tftc

I was in the area and noticed this on my target list due to an interesting D/T for a traditional. Parked on the side of the road and apparently interrupted a domestic... "He's going to the koalas, you freaking idiot!" except she didn't say freaking... Anyway, the cache was a quick find! TFTC.
Today I wanted to knock off a few more caches from my solved puzzles list, as well as get some desired attributes for the stats hound challenge caches I have signed. I did an 11.74 km walk (thanks Garmin Vivosmart HR) to get the caches today. This was a desired D/T so I stopped here on the way. I made a very quick find. It is possibly the easiest cache of this D/T I have ever found, but i'll take it. TFTC
With the high rating for this cache we wondered what we were in for. The mowed track made the walk in easy and the actual hide was just as easy to find. Our name was soon added to the list of finders and we retreated happily knowing another smilie would be on our caching map.
Many thanks to miloryder for this cache placement, which was well worth the visit.

Whilst driving back from the Sunshine Coast thought I'd do a detour to find this one that has been in my stored list for ages. On arrival a freshly mowed track made the walk to the GZ area easy and then it was a very short bash in the tall grass to find the prize.

Damn the grass is taller than me lol. Cool spot n easy find with the geo boy. TFTC
Checked on the cache today, all is well and where it should be. Long grass. good hunting.
First stop on our way to explore the outer reaches of the Solar System for the Planetary Pursuits series via the Dino Planet with Co -pilot Chasingadventures but unfortunately we were not prepared enough for the conditions we found at GZ so we aborted search as we were also on a mission to achieve our 25 unique difficulty/terrain rating in one day.
Will be back.
Will be back.
We had had a day of caching and were wet and smelling of mud and wanted to have a shower and stay home, but there was no time for the wicked to rest as our muggle son had to play the school finals and since his school had already broken up yesterday we had to take him.
We arrived in Genesis car park and he saw a bunch of his mates walking over and he jumped straight out of the car and took off with them to play his game. In the mean time we took ourselves to Dan’s to stock up on Easter alcohol and we still had time to have a crack at this cache.
Our muggle daughter was with us and she took one look in and aborted. Mrs 4ando pulled out the gum boots and started heading in, then yelled out for Mr 4ando to come in and make a geo trail for me to follow, but not before fumigating himself as there are ticks in here and he is known to be a tick magnet. With him leading the way to the giant tree and me on his footsteps we circled around until the goods were uncovered.

While I was in the area with my gumboots on, I waded through the water and bulldozed my way through the long grass until I was in Koala Country. A bit of a sniff here and bit of a sniff there I was able to get past all the koala food and make the tricky find. Sure was a challenging little trek to GZ . I would love to bring the patrol through here.

Today is a very busy caching day for us as we attempt fangoski's 25 unique finds challenge, catch up with some of the geoart around dayboro and collecting caches for the planetary pursuit event.
Sorry about the generic logs today having a tough time remembering one cache from another after visiting so many hides today. TFTC

Needing a cache today not too far away, after work/kids school day and 1MinnieMooJnr's junk mail deliveries, I scoured the map and settled on this one. A quick stop at 7 Eleven for a cold drink each after the deliveries and we were on our way. I suggested to 1MinnieMooJnr, who has turned all teenage and doesn't do cache fun anymore, that she may wish to join me in the reserve on the chance she could see a koala or two, especially as the sun was starting to go down.
However the fact we only had to walk about 30 metres meant we weren't far in the reserve, and had arrived at GZ quickly. While I headed in for the find, 1MinnieMooJnr stayed out at the path searching the treetops for furry, grey forms. My business was done quickly, and I joined 1MinnieMooJnr to confirm whether what she had seen in the treetop was a koala.... no it was a termite mound. No koalas here today, we headed back to the car, where 1MinnieMooJnr, who had only been on the mown path, asked me what was on her finger - it was a TICK! A quick flick of the tick, out the car window and we were on our way home, to shower and make sure we didn't have any other hitch hikers on us.
Thanks for the cache miloryder.

The Bromance and assorted Bromanceketeers had organised a paddle out on Lake Kurwongbah for this morning. I decided to head out a little earlier and pick up a few caches from my To-Do list. I notice now past logs mention long grass being a concern for others but my only obstacle on the way to GZ this morning was a bit of dew on the grass, with a lovely mown path leading most of the way to GZ, and a well worn geotrail around the relevant hide. Noting the terrain rating I cast my gaze skywards wondering how I was going to make it to the first reachable branch. I then noticed that there was no tree climbing attribute and recast my gaze lower - muuuuuch lower. Didn't spot it straight away but a couple of completed laps of the tree soon had things sorted. Still confused by the generous terrain rating here, even with a bit of long grass. TFTC
Looking my daily cache but being very low on battery I said to the hubby just drive somewhere, but not too close to home, then I’ll find the closest. Little worried about the rating but we made very short work of it. Nice clean log for my name.
Today we checked this cache and think that it has been muggled, so we have now replaced the cache with a smaller container [ie plastic screw top bottle ] coloured brown. with a new log and pencil. Still in the same place so enjoy your searching for 2018.
DNF though concern for snakes may have been the cause of that will come back again
I searched and searched for this cache couldnt find thought it mightve got washed away a bit with the rain? Not sure
