Sorry we didn't find this today , but not too surprised after many other dnfs .....
Went for a few hours caching with my sister and niece (casaba3) and one of my girls and this was one smiley not yet on either of our maps. Having just found Wai o Toki Too we sort of thought this one might be just as easy going by the description. 1/2 hour later and our daughters were getting a bit sick of us still looking. Had to settle for a DNF with much reluctance. Will have to come back another time. Thanks any way mattandjax.
Had planned on a walk in the Tahuna Torea reserve but failed at our first step when there was a no dogs allowed sign (even on leash) so decided to walk along here instead.
Had as good a search as you can in a steep muddy area whilst keeping an eye on two little ones and the dog but unfortunately we could not find the cache.
Thanks for placing the cache anyway for without the little icon on the map we would never have walked here otherwise.

Found on a mission today to turn my traditionals on my central east map into smileys. Eventually found it after searching, the first half of the hint did lead to some confusion on the way.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Looked everywhere, just couldn't see it, I thought the recent landscaping may have dealt with the cache but it seems from previous log, that someone found it despite the landscaping, will come back again if someone finds after my visit.
Found a dead rat but no cache.. appears to have had some landscaping done here
Found it! First one to find it since November. In a rectangular clip it box. Coordinates are good. Walk past the dead rat...
Had a look for this one, but had no luck. We'll check back next time we're in the area!
Second attempt at this one, still couldn't find it. Phone was pointing me all over the place but thought I'd found the right GZ, still no luck. Will try again when I have more time.
Nice find, found on ground, replaced to suit clue. Enjoying our exploration of the walk. Tftc
Fun quick find, found cache on the ground, replaced in what we assumed was the right place. TFTC
Terrain tricky. Found cache with Rediguana while in Auckland for the NZ Mega TFTC
This was the first time the team had been in the Point England area - and what a lovely day to be out this way.
The boys made use of the green-space near GZ for an impromptu 1-on-1 rubgy game (5YO won); while Mum, Dad and 2YO looked for the cache.
The GPS was pointing to a likely spot, but nothing could be found (and Dad - with 2YO on shoulders, nearly fell through a hole!). Mum took 2YO and Dad expanded the search-zone. It wasn't long before Dad came up with the cache.
We swapped TBs, hopefully someone can move the Bavarian Aussie Boy to Australia, unfortunately this is as close as we could get it.

While waiting for Junior #1's rugby game to start nearby, I took a quick drive to pick up a couple of nearby caches. As soon as I arrived I realised that I can't have been awake when I got in the car this morning as I had my shoes on, not my gumboots which would have been perfect here! The cache is in a great little spot, well away from prying eyes.
TFTC. Left Pocket Rosary TB to continue it's travels.

Came down to grab this one with bro in law and nephew but after searching likely hides we decided to move on to try a quicker find
Hi mattandjax
No luck for us on this one today unfortunately
I see UncleSam NZ has just found - so might need to look harder next time

#482 GPS refused to settle here but we narrowed gz to one of two places. After a thorough search of one to no avail, we tried the next and found the cache on the ground. Returned it to where the hint suggested it would be and continued on to the other cache nearby. Thanks for bringing us here!
This wouldn't be the first cache of the day that we took the long & hard way to the GZ. But once we were in the correct area we had the cache in hand in no time. TFTC

Today we went for a walk with the "Meetup" dogwalking group. By coincidence one of the other dogwalkers is the cacheowner haha. I left the others in the group at the last cache. Did need to find the others...did they turn left of right...I don't know. So I thought I will go for this cache and then I will see were they are. Lucky me...they went left and were luckily a bit further than this cache and on their way back again. Hmmm I need to be fast so I will retrieve the cache before they see me.
Luckily nobody was looking, so I retrieved the cache, wrote name down....No TB in the cache and went back to the group. Thanks for these 2 caches. Good spot.
It was a nice walk, loved to chat with the cacheowners and hoping to do some caching/walking again

This one took us a while. So many good places it could have been hidden. Had to resort to the clue in the end. Thanks for the cache.
Only one I couldn't find for the day. All I got was a handfull of prickles. Will try again soon.
Well we ignored the "don't use walkway sign" following the couple ahead of us. After a change to our caching plans Davycrockpot and I ended up out here and took a walk around to grab the caches in the Nature reserves out here. A lovely afternoon stroll. TFTC
2nd time lucky. Don't know why it was so difficult last time. Found with Geco72 on a Sunday afternoon. TFTC.
This one sure took some finding after completing the other cache just along the pathway. GPS was indicating on a few possible items of interest which took some time to thoroughly investigate. TFTC.
Found the cache but a bit disapointed to find no travel bug. But still very happy with our find. TFTC

Buster had a great time running around the area whilst Mr Geckoh retrieved the cache. Nice area, cache nicely hidden out of view of the houses near by. TFTC

Crossing the beer fest we tried to find the cache as possible so we cold leave the area. t4tc
Took a while as gps was all over the place! Lovely views as the tide was right in. Nice and muddy along the path today TFTC
Last one for the morning. I was starting to get hungry again!
Came along, and followed the wrong path at first. ANd then, even after I was on the right path, GPS was narrowing down on the wrong object! So I couldn't find the cache! Searched the entire thing!!
ANd then the GPS changed its mind... oh! No wonder I couldn't find it before! This time it was obvious and easy as. Yus!!
And my 6th cache for the morning... And it wasn't even 8.30am yet! Talk about being onto it!!

A quick find whilst enjoying the view. Was glad to see that my car was still there too when I walked past it to go to another nearby cache.
An easy enough find before breakfast. Barely touched hide spot and the cache popped out and tumbled down the hill. Found a golf ball as I scurried down after. Signed log and left TB Sir Lance-a-not. He's been in the Bay of Plenty too long, and needs to find his true horse and lance soon. Please help. Hopefully returned cache more securely. TFTC.

Grabbed at lunchtime.
A couple of muggles thought this was a nice area as well, and I had to wait until they were gone. The horses were grazing nearby.

Continued on from the previous one to this one. Took an age to locate this one. Coords were good but i just couldn't seem to find it. Had to text a friend to assure me i was in the right spot and keep on looking. Eventually i found it right in front of my nose. A nicely hidden cache!
Second time around and right where I thought it should have been on the previous DNF. Coords spot on and a clever hide. You gotta wonder why there aren't mansions all along the cost like the rest of Auckland. T4TC guys.
It took a bit of searching to find this one, but got it after it fell. The sound was just not natural. A bit more searching had the cache at hand. This is an interesting coastal access with some exposed sandstone to the right (looking out at the shoreline). Easily erodabable stuff compared to lava. Obviously Mt. Wellington didn't get this far even though it's a stone's throw away.

Another great little coastal spot that I would not have encounterd without a cache, TFTC
Had a good look around, but not find it. Will come back sometime in the future and have another go.
We are on our second caching holiday in New Zealand but this was not to be one of our finds. We looked everywhere at GZ but had no luck.
Searched in the setting sun for this one.. But no luck and after 15 mins we gave up. Did with agcnz on a weekend caching spree.
My Son and I went for a ride on our bikes up the road to find this one and it's sister a bit further up the track. Nice ride/walk!
Not a lot of people logged.. Look in between the thing that's chest height very cool. Put in mysterious key. Lovely sunflower seeds
I have been waiting for some time to for this cache to be maintained so I could get it off my front page of unfound caches. Decided to grab a couple of nearby caches this evening. Found GZ easily enough, put took a wee moment to work out exactly where the cache was located. First to sign replacement logbook. Dropped of a TB and a Pathtag. Cheers for the cache.
good to go with restocked new cache container. small round black container with new log book pencil and trades

GZ is trashed! the hidng place has been sawn up and muggled, leaving only a bit of root and no cache. whole place is now very overgrown, so will have to rethink the whole cache.
Well, I did find an empty beer bottle nicely tucked (and covered) where I expected to find the cache. Cheers, M@
FMZ and I were in the area for the FTF tonight so covered this one off as well....TFTC
Found with 10centcoin after a nearby FTF. Quite muddy, and quite a stretch to reach the cache, but found pretty quickly. TFTC!!!
Very squelchy underfoot on the way to GZ. Quick find once there and thankfully I made it out with most of the mud still on the track on not on me. TFTC, Biggles.
Bit of a breezyt spot today and a very muddy track but a very nice spot despit that and I enjoyed the visit.

This visit to East Auckland was supposed to happen 4 weeks ago but I was called in to work instead. I finally got here on a reasonable day weatherwise.
A nice walk along from the Fernwood cache. A bit muddy approaching the cache.
Cheers for the cache.

4891 Why Not indeed.... thanks for the smiley, cache a bit exposed, hid better, TFTC.
This is my 200th find. TFTC. Great spot. To celebrate I am on my way next to plant a cache to celebrate my double century. It will be called 'Cen-two-Rion' in honor of the cache I planted to celebrate my 100th find 'Centurion'. Awesome!!!!
Quick find. Spotted it as I started down the path lying very exposed. I tried to hide a bit better, but I dont think its going to last where it is. Thanks.
