Logs
Tricky and took a while but I finally spotted it and hubby climbed over and logged it
Couldnt find this one. Was short on time, Ill have another look when Im around here next time
Look up and down rocks and even walked away and approached again spent plenty of time of time looking but no luck today
We had camped here overnight. Such a great spot. Love all the rocks. We went for a bitnof an explore. Cache was found pretty easily. May need to look at replacing the container as it may start disintegrating as plastic is quite brittle. Thanks for placing this cache here for us to find
After reading some of the other logs we looked from a different angle and spotted it. TFTC
On the way to the south we made a little visit in Meekatharra and were looking for some Geocache. This is one of them we found. Thank you for the Cache.
This was not so easy to find... but we did it.

Found on a trip to the west from South Australia.
Last night I camped at Peace Gorge, just out of Meekatharra, and wandered over to find this cache first thing this morning. Then it was off to Wiluna, then Leinster, then Sandstone to check out a few places and caches of interest.
Thanks the g_team for the cache.

Thanks the g_team for the cache.
Thankyou for the excuse to explore all the rocks and boulders. I traded a swap. It's an interesting area and great free camp too. Cache box is brittle and has a hole in it.
No idea where this cache is.. if we didn't have a 2yr old with us we'd have looked longer but am hour was long enough. And the flies were in fine form lol. Great hiding place, good job
TFTC took a while to find it, a bit further than the coordinates for us. Reminds us of Celtic stones
On my way up north and arrived this morning to meekatharra. A peaceful spot, would be nice to camp here. Tftc!
This was one of the caches we found while out exploring around Meekatharra with goingplaces2. Each log was signed with both names. Thanks for showing us a place of interest.
This seemed like a good place to camp while looking for some of the available caches around Meekatharra together with ilook4geo. There were not many people around so we wandered along to look for this cache. It was quite a scramble to reach it but the co-ords were within acceptable limits. Log was signed and all went back ion the same place. Thank you to the g_team for this cache placement.
Found with kiwinic on our annual northern holiday. Another hidden gem here in a place I wasn’t expecting. Thanks for placing this cache here and getting us off the main roads. TFTC
ReadyRex found your cache. A bit of a search but worked it out. Signed the log. TFTH
We are spending a few weeks travelling to some of Western Australia's warmer regions and grabbing a couple of the LGAs that I need.
We had to get our tyre repaired in Mekka but after a coffee at what I think is a new coffee shop we headed out for this one. It was before midday but there were already a number of caravans sset up for the night.
Luckily there wasn't anybody around the cache so It didn't take too long to locate.
This was find number 1 for the day.

My granddaughter and I tried for quite awhile to find this cache. Never mind we had fun looking and now she’s a full bottle on geocaching good luck to other finders.
Found it. TFTC the g_team. So pleased with myself here. Searcher for over my time but finally rewarded.
Nice area for camping. Headed off to the cache after packing up. Nice walk to one of the many outcrops. Thought about the comment we’d read about there being a hard way and an easy way so we split up to tackle the climb from different angles. Mrs Adinache spotted something but couldn’t reach it without circling around, but soon had the cache in her hands. TFTC
I must have spent 2 hours wandering around this mountain Rocks climbing over looking. got within 3 m and there was a huge boulder between me and the destination. so eventually gave up.
I climbed around I climbed over a claim through every rock I could find but thanks for the case anyway

Did .ore than a gentle climb but too many possibilities. Tftc anyway. Nice location.
PP1 & I are on a trip North to visit places we have never been to before, soak up the history of these old mining communities & grab a few more LGAs for a certain Challenge Cache. As a bonus we have also seen some beautiful wild flowers and some native wildlife. This place is very special. I climbed the heights and found the cache, which in itself is pretty special . TFTC The g_team have a favourite for the location
Quite difficult to locate when your phone points in one direction & the metres are counting done in another. Also did a fair bit of unnecessary climbing on dodgy knees, but eventually found it. Camped here for a couple of nights. A beautiful location with some great history. TFTC
We are heading up north to see some of the wonderful sights our great State has, the amazing scenery, the interesting history, the local characters, it's wonderful to see this part of Australia through the eyes of the local Geocachers.
We called into this hidden little gem of a spot and would have to agree with that its a great little camping spot to stop at and do some star gazing.
Though it was a little early for us to stop for the night so we enjoyed our lunch here, off the busy highway, nice and relaxing in the shade of the trees.
We found your cache tucked away neatly, and with signing duties done and dusted, we replaced the cache as found.
Thanks for sharing this interesting spot.

As Team Crackers only had a few in Meeka to grab, I headed off on my own after we had fulfilled their cache find requirements to attempt to clear out the town. This was accomplished quicker than I had thought. Out here at the Peace Gorge, we made harder work of it than we should have. I had put my hand on the hidding place a few times while we were looking but it was the eagle eyes of cracker girl that eventually spotted the container.
Thanks the g_team for placing this cache.
Thanks the g_team for placing this cache.
We pulled into this fantastic area with micaparamedic and marvelled at the magnificent scenery that also had some great but sad history.
The caching gods were against us on this one, the GPSr's kept changing position of where they thought that we should be searching and with four pairs of eyes looking it took us over half an hour to locate what turned out to be a relatively simple hide and we very happily added our names to the log.
Thanks the g_team for showing us this lovely part of Meekatharra.

Hi there the g_team.
We found your cache **"Peace Gorge"** today. (This makes our find count 22703).
We cached from Cue to Meekatharra today - and found your cache **"Peace Gorge"** at 12:45:00 PM. (This brings our total find count to 22703). We had an interesting trek around the area & found 9 caches today & DNF'd 0.
Thanks for placing the cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our nomadic wander around Australia. Thanks also for placing a large cache here. It made us feel really glad to find a large cache (with swaps) here.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found your cache around 3m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing
**Left:** Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny

I was lucky to spot it through a gap under rocks, otherwise it will take some more time to locate it probably

Found by my husband, and quite pleasant up there with the wind keeping the flies down, tftc
'LEST WE FORGET'. We found this an appropriate place to remember
our War Dead. Peace Gorge is a very pretty and peaceful spot to visit.
There was no service to attend or a Memorial to attend in Meekatharra
so we decided this would be it for us.
Found and signed the log and replaced as found.
Thanks for bringing us here on this special day

1st cache on day 4 of our miners pathway holiday. Lots of granite outcrops here.
1st cache on day 4 of our miners pathway holiday. Lots of granite outcrops here.
Ninth day of our 'loop tour' to check out the wildflowers and pick up caches along the route.
Left Sandstone early and headed to Meeka basically for a look around as neither of us had been here before and to pick up the local caches. Awesome rock formations here - great spot for an overnight stop but unfortunately we are just passing through today - hopefully another time. Geo-hubby climbed to the top of the pile and made the find due to spot on co-ords. thanks g_team

Took the road in but I'm not sure if we were on the right track.. definitely need a 4x4.... otherwise you can walk in but it would be a good distance in. We are camping at Peace Gorge... a lovely place. So I thought this cache was worthy of a trackable.. let his journey continue.
Embarking on a 17 day holiday to complete the Wool Wagon and Kingsford Smith Mail Run Pathways with a brief stop at Coral Bay in between A total of 4278km in the end
We tried to do the Pathways a few years back but one of the rivers along the way was too high to cross so we didn't do it, now finally we are on our way
Todays travel from Mt Augustus to ? (will stop somewhere before it gets dark, our second last night on the road)
Wow what a lovely area. A few set up for the night. We had a chat to some muggles who had heard of geocaching but were off to make a cuppa
We were coming here anyway because of the KSMR Pathway here so I made sure I had downloaded the cache to my gps.
A quick walk up to GZ area and naturally like all geocachers I went in the hard way. I had a good search and found nothing but I didn't want to give up as knew we wouldn't come here again so widened my search and happened to lift some rocks and bingo there it was, phew.
And naturally I found and easier way out
A bit of a workout for my dickie knees so glad it's the last cache for the day
TFTC

pug002 have to log DNF went back again this morning but still couldn't find it. I sure needed a bandaide and didn't even have one with us. TFTC anyway even though the logs we read did not prove enlightening for us. We couldn't have searched more without success
On a big round trip, heading up to my sisters in Newman and then across to Karajini Np, Tom Price and then to my Dad's in Carnarvon, to Shark bay and Monkey Mia, to Gerardton and back though Perth to Mandurah. Tftc.
Took a while to find this one. It felt like dejavu as we spent a long time yesterday caching in similar terrain at the Granites near Mount Magnet.
The information plaques here were interesting and it was good to read about the naming of this place.
Not quite the landscape we were expecting here with the word gorge in the title.
Thanks.

Day 9 of my trip from Perth, Exmouth ,port Samson , Newman to Mt Fisher ... Thanks to all the COs for placing caches along my journey ......
Well we did find it but the route we took went from being easy to painful LOL. Some of the contents were found on the ground including the spiel about what Geocaching is etc and the smiley face and a small car and shark. We thought at first that the cache had been broken but given that the previous discovery was only about a month ago I suspected not. After a little doubt arose and so a further look around we found it and put the other items back into the cache. We signed the log but didn’t take or leave anything as we hadn’t prepared very well for our first find. Thanks for the Cache
Day 4 of the Northern Adventure. And what an epic getting this cache has been! Our plan had been to grab a couple of caches and continue towards Wiluna then south to Leinster etc.
But then as can happen, plans changed, due to getting a flat tyre 20km out on the gravel Goldfields Highway. Unwilling to drive the distance without a spare, we returned to Meeka, found some lovely locals to fix the tyre and decided to stay the night in the caravan park.
Which brought us to Peace Gorge at sunset. What a grandiose place! We clambered a bit and it was megawat60 who made the find.
Thanks for this cache and bringing us here, and making us discover Peace Gorge!

Day 4 with m4yb for some country caching.
After clearing out Mount Magnet and having a very enjoyable 2 night stay at the CP.
Well what a day, m4yb has told some of the story about our travels and the puncture, but I have some interesting story to relay as well. As we were clambering up the rocks almost at GZ my phone rings and it’s my sister from London on FaveTime, the wonders of modern technology. It’s her birthday and she was still in bed with her grandkids getting her breakfast in bed. She was just blown away with being able to see the awesome landscape close to sunset. Well worth a fav just for that.
Thanks for the smily The G_team

Found on a 1 day stop over in Meeka. Took a very short walk to the GZ clambered about a bit and spotted the hide almost on a hunch. Sometime the Geocacher in me kick in but mostly it doesn't. Well that my last in Meeka. TFTC.
Continuing my trek north to miss the southern winter. Today I moved from the Big Bell ghost town to a spot just south of Kumarina. I picked up several smileys on the way. WOW, what a spot, I thought I was back in Mt. Magnet for a minute of two. THis one was a bit tough, I looked in, under, around and behind everything I could think of and was on the verge of giving it a DNF. I read through some previous logs and thought, "Oh No, Not Again". Yep, it is one of those, tough for an old bloke, but I eventually got to it at 12:15. TNLNSL TFTC g team
Day ten and eleven of Barnzy12 and Cravo10 adventure to the Northwest of WA, filling out boots with LGAs, rare DT, old caches, and good old fashioned red dirt!
Day 9 We travelled from Newman to Mount Magnet via Meekatharra, Wiluna, sandstone, cue and many a place in between to pickup a couple of harder to reach LGAs and get numbers up for the trip.
We were lucky enough to pickup four FTFs in Meekatharra that had managed to go unfound for a reasonable time so we nabbed all of them. A nice little stat to add to the list.
We made some large scale detours to Wiluna and Sandstone to pickup two more LGAs that are a little hard to pickup from our Perth homebase.
We racked up over 1000km for the day and finished up grabbing caches along the mount magnet tourist drive by torchlight to end an epic day.
Day ten saw us up at 5am to cleanup the granites series of caches, before making the 600 plus kilometre journey back to our home of Perth.
Overall it's been a huge trip with 200plus caches found, a dozen or so LGAs picked up, 6500km travelled, 11 days of non-stop caching and tourist activities, 6 FTFs, countless containers fixed, logs replaced, pathtags dropped off.
Thanks to all the COs for their caches which made the trip possible.
Nice quick find here. Thanks

Had to put my mountain goat shoes on for this one. Wow makes you wonder what has gone on in the past in this area, gave me a very spiritual feeling while in this location.
Thanks the g_team, great hide in a sweet spot.
Thanks the g_team, great hide in a sweet spot.
It's a bit of a shame that Meekatharra has a place such as this but the council doesn't appear to maintain it for tourists. That said - after setting up the caravan here I left TWO to set up the inside to do her thing and I went caching. This was a quick find and sign, though I did drop the container and had to fish it out. Thanks to the_g_team for the cache.
Finally found it. We think us oldies did a great job of pretending to be mountain goats - it took us a while but the view from the top of the boulder it was between was fantastic. I think we walked several k's in actual fact, a lot of them up and over boulders. To be honest, we think the terrain and difficulty are more than a 2 in comparison to others we have done in similar type areas. A great opportunity to get out there amongst the granite though. A lovely picnic lunch after went down very well. TFTC. Ps i had to use a one of the bandaids due to injury incurred - small scratch actually!!! I didnt have anything to replace it with so will put something in the next cache if someone could please replace this one for me... Many thanks...
We found our first cache 10 years ago today on the Canning stock-route. Since then we have cached in 15 countries around the world. We were pleased to find one in this great spot especially considering the current emphasis on WW1.
Thanks the g team.
Thanks the g team.
After the look out I did a run out to Peace Gorge, what a great place for a relax and contemplation.
Went across country from near the rubbish dump and had a good time with some creek crossing and wooded areas. After finding GZ I struggled to find the cache and as some of the rocks were moving as one clambered over them I found it too dangerous for my old bones ,and after about an hour of searching I gave up.
Thanks g team a great spot.

Followed If's footsteps to GZ and begun the hunt. After about an hour hunger got the better of us and we abandoned the search. Thanks for showing us such a beautiful place.
Here is a definite highlight of the area
So many rocks to scramble over,
so many interesting spots to stroll around
Thanks for placing the cache a goodly few hundred metres from the 'carpark',
it got me out of the car and exploring
Once I finally found the cache that is
Ooh !! Another good scramble around the rocks !! [^]
After signing the logbook,
there was nothing for it but to go exploring some more [^]

Spent an hour looking for this one yesterday with no luck. Found it within 10 minutes today. Sometimes you have to be "fresh"
What a lovely spot. We stopped for a picnic here also and the kids had lots of fun. Just as the climb was getting too much for the littlies (3yo and 4yo) we found the cache. Woohoo! Thanks for the cache

what a beautiful location and one we never would have visited if it hadn't been for Geo caching. Tftc
