What an interesting location! Fascinating to see the zig-zag diggings up close, they made so much more sense than in the tourism brochure photo. Such a shame DOC has requested its removal. Thanks heaps for bringing me here, another one for the favourites!

Was in New Plymouth for work and was just down the road from this cache site and decided that I would check this cache out on the webpage and realised that this cache was reinstated and looked like that it had returned back to it home. Decided that since I was only about 10 minutes away from GZ it was worth a quick visit. Arriving near GZ and was able to find a spot to park the car and a quick walk to the final GZ. Spotted the cache quickly in the first spot that I checked and was pretty sure it wasnt there the last time looked, the cache seemed to be a bit exposed, so tried to hide it a bit better, another great spot for a cache, thanks for bringing me back here again to this lovely historical spot and thanks for replacing the cache. "Back in New Plymouth so shot out before the forecast rain. Cache defiantly gone at Pratt's sap. Took a small pill bottle covered in green tape with log book and pencil to replace missing cache. Skull still there so clue all good. There has been some activity in the sap itself. It has been cleared of all the branches and rubbish and that now lies in the paddock."--Kev & Clare

Came back for another daytime search after checking it out last night, but still wasn't able to find it. Fairly certain it has either been muggled or lost in the grass. Cheers Gav
Had a very good hunt for this in the dark, but wasn't able to find it. Cheers Gav
After doing the cache down the road , I thought I had better come and grab this one. Arrived near GZ and parked across the road and off I went. Arrived at GZ and searched all the obvious spots and found no sign of the cache BUT after a bit more of a search I did find the skull a few metres away on the ground from the obvious tree. Not sure if the cache is there or not, may pay to check or I might be blind, this has being know to happen too!!!!!
You could make a damn good series if caches based on the Taranaki Land Wars. Thanks for bringing me out here. TFTC
Found on a beautiful evening while hearing the sound of a nearby outdoor concert. TFTC
Came through and collected the cache in a brief break in the weather and collected the info from the near by waypoint for a multi. Took a bit of hunting but got it after a while.

Interesting local history around here. Cache quickly in hand once we spotted something in an unusual spot T4TC.
Good spot bringing us close to the sap. Hard to imagine what this place was like in 1861. Thanks G-2 & Gunsmoke for the cache.
Fascinating to see such earthworks still so relatively well preserved, really enjoyed the visit.

A good hide. Thanks for bringing us here again. We had been here for a previous multi but hadn't taken the time to look around. Its an interesting place. TFTC.
Second to find, slow off the mark, got there and just caught a smell of smoke signed the logTFTC
Thought that since we are to look after this cache we'd better find out where it is! Certainly is an interesting area. Good hide. Thanks
