Accio 09:08:29Down to Melbourne to escort my mum to hospital - giving me significant free time for a couple of days. What to do? LGA hunting my primary goal, I came here as part of a very big loop around the outside of metropolitan Melbourne. This one was not as simple as I might have imagined, but I enjoy a nice walk. Parked where suggested and trekked my way along non-existent roadways and then through the very holey fence and over to GZ where it was found quickly. Really suspect the new roads just below would be an easier/quicker option (but way less fun) - although I did notice a "thou shalt not pass sign". The walk is great - those thorns and thistles are amazing. The humidity and different weather back home n Brisbane doesn't get these weeds. Thanks for entertaining me at this location. *{Overall find #12917}*
Wow, what an interesting adventure this was.I had scoped out the map and decided to run for a short cut to GZ. Unfortunately there were too many muggles at the location I had hopped to make my attempt from, so I returned to the parking coords and began my approach. The first part was better than I expected, following animal trails and avoiding the thistles. No sign of the car along the journey. I made it through the numerous gaps in the old fencing and began the zig zag journey across to GZ. I was thankful that no nope ropes were out and about whilst I was here.I finally arrived at GZ and began the search. A little overgrown here now, I was fortunate enough to make the find and add my ink to the logbook.I reversed my path and made my way back through all the obstacles to get back to the car. By this time the digger was being operated, but the timing made it seem awfully like someone was having some fun, rather than working. Thanks for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy. ----------------------------------------------------------The Ballarat GeoTour ends on 4 March 2024! I have an unexpected day off, so I thought I’d give this one some love after 518 days without a log. The housing development is getting close, but the cache is still present at GZ, log is damp, but still able to be written on.

Started at the top, as advised, but was stopped after the alarm rook off noticing my trespassing. Got to the bottom, avoided the construction site, scrambled through grass to the top, signed the log, found the path downhill and enjoyed the view of the valley for a bit. What an experience!
While utilising my 5 km distance restriction I went for a short ride to the foot of this interesting area. Found a nice track and made the climb up rather than coming down from the top.
I can see what everybody says about the dumping ground but it’s a wonderful view from up there regardless.
I really enjoyed it.
Left one of my painted stones, sanitised everything and left feeling happy.

215 days unloved and the way nearby construction is going may be overrun soon (probably 100m before it’s overrun). TFTC!
After trying to attempt to go to listed address with my on road bike a few weeks back, I realise this would need to be a team effort. After telling Hubba of my unsuccessful attempt, we went to the new residential development site that’s in full swing, lots with no houses up for sale and construction going on nearby. After trekking up the hill and finding the cache, we took a moment to see how close the demise of this cache may be. Then back down which seemed easier for me and back to it! TFTC Phillip!
478 days unloved! This cache is only 6.1km away from my house, and has been on the to do list since I started as a cacher. However, I was always a bit unsure about the retrieval, or it was put on the backburner. However, I've become much more adventurous as a cacher recently, so here I am. I made the very sensible decision to wear my Bisley workpants and steel caps. Turns out I've lost my caching gardening gloves, I thought I had them in the bag, could have really used them. The whole walk in was prickly weeds, weird rubbish, and long snaky grass. More surprisingly was the quite amazing remnant grassland section. Some truly beautiful sections of Kangaroo Grass (Themeda triandra), Tall speargrass (Austrostipa bigeniculata), and various Wallaby Grasses (Rytidosperma species). If this area is to be developed, I hope they can leave those bits as reserves, or at least do a big seed collection for revegetating an offset for what will be lost. The view from here was beautiful, it would have been spectacular before everything was flattened for development.
The cache was well hidden, and still matches up to the hint. There's been some minor weed control here at some point, removing the larger woody weeds. Some ended up over GZ, but I moved them out of the way. In very good condition still, even after so long since placement and its last find. The development below is coming up quickly, with large swathes of planting happening. There's now a road that reaches to within 550m of the cache, and then a bush bash up the hill. However, I parked at the end of Bunnett Street as suggested, and followed the marked out roads for the upper development, which were easy to follow and stay on track.
Thank you Philipp for a fun adventure, bringing me out of my comfort zone in the safe confines of the western suburbs, and for a great cache!

Been working in the area for the new housing development. Haven't had the time to find the cache. Today, I was fortunate enough to go looking! Thanks for the cache. Hopefully it survives when they start construction in this area.
Woo Hoo. This cache's bad reputation is undeserved. I had fun doing it. Approached it on foot from Bunnett St, there is a bit of rubbish along the side of the track but I had no problem with that. The track takes you close to the cache and where the track ran out I trod loudly and cautiously, but failed to see a lizard, let alone a snake. At GZ I whipped out the gardening gloves I use for pruning thorny things and proceeded to hunt. The cache is in very good condition seeing it has been unloved for 483 days. This was fun to do. Sure, it is not as picturesque a walk as some other caches I have found, but it felt like a great adventure to me. Thanks for placing this cache here. I even took a pic to remember this one by. And I am giving it a fave because it deserved one.
I headed out there again this afternoon, someone has dumped a heap of extra garden waste at GZ. Moved what i could, but could not find the cache at the rock pile. Also the native grasses that surround GZ are super lush, slippery and potentially sheltering snakes, I saw a tiger on the way towards the area... Could it be time for the CO to visit and reassess the area? cheers~
Found with georocks101. Another fun adventure for us. A beautiful area despite the dumping and neglect, usually we pick up rubbish when we see it but there was way too much here. Tftc
Found with me matey JelenaGreenleaf. We decided to park at the end of the road as CO suggest and trekked in. It is strange that all the streets on google maps aren't actually here. So much rubbish and huge thistles ... this area really needs a good solid clean up! It's quite gross. There is also a boat as a previous finder has mentioned, and we were lucky enough to see a fox in broad daylight drinking water that was pooled in one of the ruts on the path. We looked at it and it looked at us and I whispered to JelenaGreenleaf and it must've heard and quickly bounded off. Once we got through the fence bit the area is slightly nicer but still so much rubbish here, why do people do this??
Cache found very easily, hidden well and in good nick. TFTC

I've been meaning to get this cache for ages, because I have to drive near it often when I crawl along the dreaded Ring Road. The location is as described - desolate and horrible. I drove in past the gates and along the deep-rutted track which was littered with so much dumped trash. Gosh some people are ridiculously lazy.
When I was about 250 metres from the cache and the track became huge swimming pool sized holes and my approach was cut off with spools worth of wire, I decided to leg it. Couldn't spot the rusty wreck, but there is now a boat dumped at the top of the hill about GZ. Yep, an actual boat. It has city views too...
Down to the cache, found, signed, and returned. Bizarre that this is located with water frontage and city views, yet totally undeveloped and definitely not maintained. I wonder if there was an issue with the land as was the case with other areas nearby. Anyway, back to the car where I found a shortcut, and then it was a matter of holding my breath as I dodged the giant ruts and made it out unscathed. TFTC

A week ago, we did a cache on the other side of the river and it was enjoyable. I would have to say it is a blight on the council who own this land and to the rubbish dumpers that it is in a mess. A CITO would be a great thing for this area. Even the level of artichoke thistles in the area alone without the rubbish slow how little this area is looked after. Although it wasn't a great place to visit, it is good to see these areas also to understand how well some areas are looked after compared to others.
Back to the cache - we found it easily and it was in good condition. Thanks

Took the long way to get to this cache. Was found with ease. There is alot of rubbish in the area but without that its a very nice place. Thank for bringing me here.
I parked at the end of Baldwin Ave - West of the train line. All the streets on the East side of the rail line on google earth don't exsist. I walked to GZ carefully crossing the train lines, and following an old track that passes within about 20m of GZ. Near a big tree. An easy find with good co-ords. TFTC
Finally found this one. Almost 6 months unlove. Container and content in good order. Thanks for the hide
This cache has been on my to do list for way too long so today had to come over to JAYCAR for a switch, but no luck there was determined to have a bit of luck here, and did, what a trek into site, from River Valley Bld, needed a couple rest stops on way in and out, but all good exercise for an old bloke, cache is in good condition and where it should be thanks for this one Phillip
Driving around the West this arvo, and making my way past dodgy used cars, dodgy massage centres and dodgy mechanics, I found myself at barren paddocks of North Sunshine. The gate was open so decided to take the bumpy route in. Not too muddy but enough to cake wifes car tyres with dirt. Parked within 200m and did the walk. Half expecting too see the charred remains of an Albion drug dealer along the walk, I was suprised by a quick red fox bounce in front of me. Too quick for a photo. Soon got to GZ - signed the log. Was interested to see the quarry and burnt car so made my way over - be a very cool spot for a cache there! Back to the car and off I went, flinging mud from my tyres on the way. Thanks for showing me such a strange and interesting spot out in the westside!
Bit of a trek from the parking spot! Weird spot tho and worth a wander. Would bring a bike if I did it again. TFTC
I got out of work early and made the trip to Footscray with some friends- somewhat muggles, to see another mutual friend/muggle.
We sat around at her house and caught up for a while and the 2 that I had come up with knew that we would have to get a cache or 2 before, during or after the visit.
After passionately talking about my hobby, as I do, we were all keen to go on an adventure.
I picked this cache. To claim my daily smiley [doing a month of streaking at least] and some unloved in the bargain =D
It's funny that 'getting out of the house' is more of a thing for me than staying in, but to others, it's an occasion.
We parked at the suggested parking area to do the walk in, no 4WD's in this friendship circle.
With not very appropriate footwear or even clothing, we decided to trek on.
Not much to loose.
We had a great time wandering to GZ but when we were really close, the 2 girls stayed back and the man and I went 'in for the kill'.... I'm not worried about snakes, even in my sandal type footwear, I WANT to see them, therefore am a reptile repellent. Only people who don't want to see them- do.
Made the discovery nice and easily and took in the views, via eyeballs and phone cameras.
All chatting away, it made the stroll a lot better than doing it by myself.
Even the most muggle-y one of the lot was raving about our journey and accomplishment. She loved how much I love it all.
The track wasn't much chop, lots of rubbish, some burnt computers were very interesting to look at though, melted in a way as such as a particular artist would paint.
But at the end it was scenic.
Took- Mini tow truck.
Left- Pirate treasure.
Thank you for bringing us here.
Cheers & T.F.T.C =]

Find # 4065 @ 12:10 pm. I dropped my wife and son off at highpiont to do some baby shopping, so some caching time for me. TNLN, Left my mark in the log, Easy find and enjoyed the 4 wheel driving, Thanx for placing this cache....
Finally set aside the time to find this one, today was pretty clear and warm weather in Melbourne which was ideal. Lots of rubbish around as you will have gathered by now. We took a few guesses on how to get to the cache, made a detour to look down on the car, and did a fair bit of bush bashing. Found the cache and on our way out, figured out the easiest way out was to walk away from the car for a bit.
A long time since someone visited this one so I thought I would wander in. Okay, I wanted it for the old timer challenge.
Parked near the indicated carpark and went on foot past the inevitable dumped household goods. Went on a nearly straight path towards GZ and it wasn't too bad a journey, though on the way out I found it was better to stick closer to the track after the hole in the fence.
The cache was a quick find, though it was partially exposed which made it easier. Made sure it was well covered before I left.
Thanks for the wander in Phillip. Was quite a pleasant walk once past the starting area.

Getting here is half the trick... I tried too direct a route from Dog-gone's new hide, but that led to a steep drop-off. Then I tried a less direct approach that, while fun, was a dead end. The third oblique attempt was successful enough to get me on the right track. Well, all of this helped hone my mtb and cyclocross skills, that's for sure.
Once headed in the right direction on the heavily rutted track, I noted the route I should have taken in the first place.
So, off to GZ... I got within ten metres or so on the bike, then bush-bashed the rest of the way. Only a small container in a place like this? Oh, I understood when I read the note on the log sheet.
The container has been cleared of the dangerous goods... seriously, it's way too young to smoke.
Note, back on the bike and through the gaping chasms (what is it with idiots that don't know when NOT to take their 4x4 somewhere? I hope it took hours to extricate themselves), past the scenic trash piles.
Thanks, °, for the wild ride.

This one has been a mark on the page for a long time, and I've considered it a few times, but it looked a bit out if the way. Well this Afternoon the opportunity arose and I managed to get the Hilux to with 30metres of the cache.
There are some Massive trenches in the tracks. Some people have obviously been seriously bogged too. I found a shovel next to one bog site where some-one has had to dig themselves out...Left it there. !
The cache was found soon enough. It's in good condition. Contains a cigarette and lighter. I don't smoke, so left it there.
I was impressed by the burnt out wreck that I passed on the way in...so much that I decorated it with a sign that I had found last week, and then I Ieft a cache too [ ]
I'll give this one a favourite when I have one next , because I enjoyed the trip in.
Thanks for the cache.
Cheers

Took long time to get to the place where cache is. I walked to wrong direction from the waypoint so I had to walk in bush. Thanks for the cache.
Took a while, nothing this cache and his apprentice haven't encountered before. Joe, I took your glasses hahaha hahaha. Thank you!
with my lovely company 'K' we set out.
i'd lived around the area all my life and found it always dull, but walking through this plain land i've now found beauty in my home.
the cache did take some 20 minutes to located, but weren't we excited to find it, our first ever.
we left some souvenirs, and signed the log by sewing the letters 'J-K', using grass. (warning no pen)

Don't know why but it was a cache that I wanted to get - maybe it was its name.
Bite the bullet and walked to GZ among the much loved (or otherwise) treasures of the locals. Some of whom I decided can't read the dumping sign at the end of the road. Perhaps it was written in double dutch not their language.
Anyway for those who like a challenging obstacle course I can recomend this cache. It was a bit like "We're going on a bear Hunt" .....Oh oh! mud, thistles, long grass, tall fences, green grass and some rocks with a little view thrown in at the end.
TFTC and lets hope that it is developed soon.

With the Saturday afternoon free I headed out to collect a range of cache that had been on my to do list for quite a while. With the weather being nice a warm and with plenty of driving and walking ahead of me, I was set for a great afternoon of caching.
Trying to work out how to get to the cache was the hardest part. I checked Google Earth and other maps to find the best way in before heading out today. In the end I just followed the GPS in until I reached the dirt 'tracks', if you could call them that. I nosed the Pathy along through the maze of tracks and the plethora of rubbish scattered along the way until I reached a point about 140m from GZ, but on the other side of the fence.
I saw a big gap, so left the car and went throught the gap and made my way down to GZ. After a bit of searching around, I eventually found the cache in a spot I had looked at but hadn't bothered looking at properly. A bit of fun and adventure to get here. Thanks for the hide.

I have been planning to put a smiley on this for over 12 months.
Not sure why but I knew winter would be difficult here and always have passed it.
Today was the day.
Well when they say the wastelands of Sunshine they certainly mean it.
I would say that getting to GZ was more the proverbial s&*^%@ hole!!
As I pulled into the street access just short of the "paddock", 2 fire trucks were just finishing up work on a grass fire.
An 80km/h northerly was sand blasting the car and 2 matresses went flying past.
What was I thinking.
As the trucks cruised by I'm sure they took the number plate details of the pyro observing.
Anyway they soon cleared and I gamely navigated close to gz and walked the rest of the way.
The log was signed and the smiley was for the fact that I'd finally completed this cache.
Count was no tigers or browns, 1 fox, 2 firetrucks about 8 aircraft landing.

Can't say I have even wondered what it like to drive through a rubbish dump, but I guess I now know. It hadn't rained for a while, but the track in was still very wet with some very deep muddy puddles. We came from above so we didn't see the photo scene, and I suspect my caching companion was keeping a very close lookout for snakes in the long grass to notice any long range views!
That reads a bit negative - we did see some spectacular Scotch Thistles in full bloom, and we were very pleased to see the exit point!
Thanks, Robmc.

After a relatively short hiatus from my usual Monday night caching run, I was able to start them back up again with my good friend jsmyong55 tonight. I picked him up from Melbourne University just after 5 pm and we headed out to the northwest of town to pick a few up there. There was a fair bit of walking tonight, so we didn't bag the numbers we thought we might but we certaininly had fun grabbing the ones we did.
Well this is an interesting cache location. We moved our way through hundreds of metres of dumped rubbish, found a hole in a fence and finally made a quick discovery. Co-ords were spot on. I did mention to J that I thought this area was better suited to the activities of the Mafia than a cache. But we have the smilie all the same. Thanks P.

After a long break from our usual caching runs, Trailrunning and I met up tonight to continue on another awesome night out. We did quite well tonight, seeing that many caches are quite distant from each other, not that we were racing against time anyway. Many long walks and "adventures", even being poisoned by nasty noodle shop.
Another cache which required long walk to get to. Parked as close to GZ as possible but did not dare drive in deeper. We did not want to risk a punctured tire which would have made the experience even worst. Walked halfway and Trailrunning's torch died. Thankfully I brought a torch along. Did not see the wrecked car in the dark. I gave him mine to navigate with and I used my phone's mini torch to guide myself. Even after the long walk. I guess this cache is to test who is really desperate to get this cache cleared off. TFTC

After all the logs I just read for this cache, this is a must see and definitely the next cache I'm looking for!
I had had this one on the radar for some time as a ° cache at least reasonably possible to do! I went to the recommended starting place and had to agree that anything other than a 4WD is a risk, especially if it is wet. I managed to get a couple of hundred metres closer on good ground, and then hoofed it in the rest of the way for an easy find.
However I had left the pen in the car, and there was no pen in the cache! They say necessity is the mother of invention, as subsequent finders will see. However no bodily fluids whatsoever were used - that would have been too gross!
This area is screaming for development, and it will surely happen before long. Thanks ° for the fun.

Found by Mary & David at 1535. The GeoPrado took us quite close to GZ, but involved a fair bit of mud and water. Surprised that the area hasn't been developed yet. We did like the different view of the city skyline and the Maribyrnong, but it's a great shame about the dump you have to transit to get there. Our thanks to º.
Walked in from the Burnett St end, following the various tracks. The quarry was a surprise, I also saw a fox or dog, not sure which.
In Melbourne today for work and had to do this cache. I used to live in Neu Isenburg, a small town adjacent to Offenbach. Cars registered in the area had a OF prefix on the license plates. According to my grandmother it stood for "ohne furcht", or "without fear"...a reflection on the Offenbacher driving style. I still have lots of family in Neu Isenburg, though my immediate family ended up on this side of the world!
TNLNSL, 'dankeschon' for the cache Philipp!
best wishes,
Walter

I came in via Avondale Heights as I hit a barbed wire toped cyclone fence when attempted by the WPs. It's a lazy 1.75km stroll across extremely rough ground. It would certainly be my recommendation that one borrows or even hires a 4wd to complete this one! However, contrary to previous logs, the views at GZ head off towards the horizon and are worth the effort considering how close to suburbia this cache is.
Did this one with wombat kiwi, came in through what looks like the local dump and got within 15Mtrs of GZ with the 4WD,left via Duke st end through a new estate which was much better. SLTNLN. T4TC.
Went by 4x4 with Mudrox and found quite easy but could be a long walk otherwise.
As I was getting my car serviced in St Albans, I took the opportunity to jump on the bike and grab a couple of caches that have waited way too long. Rode up Bunnett St, and kept following tracks while watching the GPS meterage get lower.
As I came over the top of the hill to view the Maribyrnong, I only had to walk about 15M off the track to GZ. How good is that?
The benefits for me included a nice longish ride on the bike with no-one about, and an energetic way to kill an hour or two instead of waiting in a mechanics workshop. I was also able to follow the river to the 2 caches, GC & GCA at Solomon's Ford, so that was another bonus.
My thanks to 'o' Phillipe, for placing the cache, and for bringing me here. SL

Not a terribly salubrious place.
I approached from the back end of Sunshine and the area immediately displayed what it was. A rubbish dump for those too lazy or cheap to call the council to pick up the hard rubbish. There is broken glass, washing machines, lots of wood with nails, just junk, rubbish and mess the whole way in.
I finally crossed through the fence (asking myself why someone would highlight this area) and came to the view. Meh. There are much better views of the area from places you can drive to.
Finally approaching GZ I found the cache. A small. With no pen. 3 pieces of inappropriately folded / sized paper. No bag. A small sistema container. A terrible disappointment for both the area and the cache.
While some will say 'why did you do it', my answer is I was hoping to find something along the way to justify doing it, but there was nothing.
Took nothing, left nothing.
This location or approach has no redeeming features at all. I'm entirely unsure of why it's here other than 'because I can'.

I have resided, more or less, in the general area most of my life and even as a kid I ventured down to the Railway Bridge that is not too far from GZ that we called 'The Quarter Mile', though I'd never ventured to this locale. This cache is certainly in a unobtrusive location amidst dry long grasses, scotch thistles, ants a plenty and lots of detritus from the suburban miasma. Views, there are some for sure, though this may depend on which way you approach - the River Valley has some fine locations. It's not a place to be after dark or leave your Car parked for too long at the end of the 'civilised' world. On the day (with Dylan 7a) we got to within 400 meters or so in his 2 WD vehicle, (a 4 WD will get you closer) though the ground was for the most part firm and dry except for a few large ponds that we long-grass whacked around. Be mindful of some of the rubbish (very suss) and wood bits with nails protruding and be wary of snakes especially approaching GZ. One of the more unusual caching routes I have experienced. Found the cache after a bit of stumbling about and was treated to a fresh log sheet with no inscriptions since coming back into play (sorry if my scrawl is bad in the log as the reading glasses were lost en-route - only a cheap $15 pair so no concerns - a plodder's moment). It is certainly wild 'urban' country for this one. Still, we had a hoot. Never saw the car wreck as we approached from a more northerly direction. Thank you to 'o' for the cache, its location, the interesting caching notes and previous logs.
Do I put the owner's lack of a reply down to ignorance or rudeness? Is my original question too difficult to understand? I am still curious as to which of the Morsix rules you had in mind when you placed this cache.
I haven't found this cache, hence my question, and you haven't answered it either. I read the desciption and some of the logs and could only determine that the area looks like a rubbish dump and some people liked the views.
From the Morsix guidelines this one possibly meets the first if one enjoys the views or the rubbish, or the second if people enjoy the challenge of strolling through long grass? When you placed it, were they the Morsix rules you were trying to adhere to?
Thanks for the quick response!

Curiosity got the better of me and I googled Morsix...
I found http://my-palm.de/geoloc/geoloc.html
Any relation to the rule?
Meanwhile, back at the cache, I cannot see how anyone could have "stumbled" onto this cache, not in the location it was in.
You would have had to have had knowledge of its existance and had deliberate intent on its demise.
Nuf said...moving on.
Good luck with its replacement.
Once the development of the area kicks in this place will really take off.
Keep on cachin'

Rode the treadly in and had a bit of trouble finding a path not totally mud-bog out.
If you want a trailer, there is one in the paddocks ready for the taking - you might need a good 4WD to get to it, and an even better one to get the trailer out.

Had a look in the area where gps and iPad were pointing but unable to find. Found what looks to be a spot that cache may have been. There was a pile of rocks at the coords.

What an ordeal! At one point in the trek / bush bash, I put my foot on what looked like a dry solid piece of ground, only to sink half way up my calf muscle into very icky mud.
But being the battler that I am, I continued on, determined to get my prize.
And oh what a prize, not the largest I've ever found but certainly the largest Ammo can I've ever seen/found.
Awesome view from GZ.

Finally after many months of debate on which way into GZ was best I took the riverside option and planned my route.
I parked in close proximity to the trail and proceeded from a small carpark on Halong drive.
Easy going to begin with but then the concrete track ended. Muddy trails greeted me.
Following a mish-mash of tracks and trails I worked my way towards GZ. then, with 130m to go, my trail options dropped to zero.
The grass here is about a metre high in places and I could not see where my feet were going.
The thought of snakes entered my head and progress slowed somewhat.
I made my way from open ground to open ground via short stints of grass and prickly weeds.
Finally arrived at GZ and looked around. Great place for a cache! You didn't have to hide it. You could have left it out in the open. No one in their right mind would venture out here for anything. Cachers must have a certain amount of insanity to do what we do.
Signed the log book and hastened back to the car. In all it took about 45 mins for the round trip.
** Please note the grass/weeds have grown and GZ is rather isolated. Take a whipper snipper or ride on mower and cut yourself a path! **

This cache should be renamed Sunshine Tip. Disgusting!!! Was a bit worried to park the car in a place where anything goes. Great location for the cache though. Nice view.
3TF from memory..? Strolled out here between jobs and found at 4pm, discovered a whole lot of bugs, re-discovered 2 aswell.. took 2 and left 1.. TFTC SL
2TF, 9.45am, 24/7/10. What an amazing location. I parked at the end of Bunnett St, near the piles of dumped Yellow Pages. I'd heard that this was a big problem this year, Sensis should be ashamed of themselves for allowing their subcontractors to do this. As I walked along what would be Penna Ave and Rankin Ave I realized this is obviously Sunshine's unofficial tip, as there were piles of builders rubbish, tyres, car parts, old vacuum cleaners, insulation, pipes and other trash. Too much for a CITO event! However the landscape improved after finding the gap in the fence, after which it was a shortish stroll to the MASSIVE cache, the biggest ammo box I've ever found. Signed the log, which had been found two days ago, then the long walk back to the car. TNLN. Many thanks to Phillip for showing me this area. Cheers!

I was out this way and the prospect of evening ringroad traffic was not appealing, so I stopped. It's quite the adventure, in failing light and after the recent rain.....the mud is greasy, in many places the grass can't be seen for the rubbish, the uneven ground is...eventful when blinded by the glare from the nearby industry. But, the view of the city is surprisingly good from the top of the hill. The cache container is impressive and I regret this time that I don't carry swaps - it deserves filling. I've been on the path across the river many times - thanks for showing me this side.
This looks like a cool area, and so unusual that the virtual is ahead of the reality. Pity it looks like I won't be able to get there until next week sometime... why do I have to be at work today ? Oh yes, to buy petrol for caching lol!!
[font=Comic Sans MS]If anyone wants to place another cache in that area feel free to do so >> the car-wreck e.g. is far enough from my cache and if you could make it a large or at least regular cache that would be great. I really don't like tiny caches *gg*

Since I spend all the money on this awesome cachebox, there is nothing much in there:
- an Australian flag banner
- a costume Marine hat
- bag with small swag
I also included heaps of travelbugs - please make sure you can help them on their further trip.
3 of them have to go abroad so any easy cache closer to the airport would be great:
