Logs
Have decided as we don't travel this way any more it is time to archive this one.
There is just a scrap of paper in the cache for the log. It looks like the original is gone. New log needed, but otherwise cache in good order.
A stop nearby was timed well with the last of the footballers leaving. Having the whole area to ourselves, we went to GZ and grabbed the info. We had to read the questions again to ensure we had the correct info with a little twist in one of them. With the info in hand, we found the location and cache. Signed, what seemed to be a temporary log and a new log is certainly needed. TFTC.

With yet another meeting out this way and it wrapping up early I made an attempt at this one even thought the weather was not playing nice. When I parked up there was a short gap in the rain and I took the chance.
Off to the start and collected the required information even though there were some local youths taking shelter in the grand stand and sounded like they were having quite a time. It is amazing how good a "professional looking" note book is as camo.
With a set of coords in hand I was off and a quick find was made. As mentioned in a previous log the log book is no longer with us and there is a scrap of paper in it's place, this was signed and hide returned.
Just as I reached the car the heavens opened up, strange how things work out.

TFTC no log in unusual container so I found some litter and wrote my name on this and put into cache. Great day and only one other person on oval practicing his bowling.
Opted for a night cache expedition as I went out at 1 AM to seek my 3rd multi on my 29-multi mission for the month of February. TFTC
Found yesterday after waiting 6 months of driving past to and from work;
Had given it a go a while ago, but no luck.
Today, back with a few hundred more caches under my belt, nice and easy!

It's taken us some time and a few adventures to finally get this one. Wrong calculations had us looking in the wrong spot, and having to redo the co-ordinates. It's been a while since we've been over this way but a trip to Highpoint meant we could finally complete the find. The cache is well camoed and in good, dry condition. Thanks for the cache 90degrees.

I didn'g the fiorst clue at all onthis one.
However with the rest found, it was time for a guessing game.
Anyhow, wasnt too ling before I locked into the co-ordinates and found myself walking to gz.
Spotted from a distance the most likely spot for thr hide and I was right!!

Got to the posted co-ords today to find a notice covering the info. We temporarily removed it and gathered the required stuff. We made the calculations and decided to drive closer to GZ although we could have easily walked. At GZ, Tomstache made the find very quickly. Thanks for bringing us here today 80degrees, the geokids liked the grandstands.
For some reason I decided to go for the Multi Month Challenge in winter, so was forced to brave to cold today. If only it had been 80 degrees Fahrenheit, it was a mere 53 F (or 12 Celsius in more conventional terms). There was a game of soccer on when I was gathering my numbers, but it seemed pretty heated so no one was paying attention to the girl in the purple coat with her back to the game. Initially counted wrong, went for the more involved count for C, but did it again and was soon at GZ. The container was the perfect colour for where it was hidden, which I quite appreciated. For future seekers, look at the hint, as I'm sure that by now you have realised that A is no longer there! Thank you 80 degrees for the hide and walk!
We tried doing this one in summer, first of all people were near the info then when we came back and had our new coords there were some boys in the way. Being in the area we thought we would give it another shot and yes third time lucky.

760th Cache Find Geodad is at work for the day so what else can we do today. Geocaching of course. So we all get ready & head out. We aren't staying too far from here. Walked to GZ, looking at description & thinking this cant be it, there is nothing for the first question on this plaque. Looking & looking, moving around the entire area until we decide to check out the hint. If only we had done that ages ago... But anyhow we kept answering the questions & came away with the find. TFTC
Trying to my multi numbers up for April, I stopped by tonight to grab this one. With a car parked at exactly WP1 I wandered over to the plaques and gathered a the info I needed. An interruption from the driver of the car, wondering what I was up to as he was a member of the club. I told him that I was gathering information from the sign and that seemed to satisfy him. With the first number missing, ( I did walk around his car once but couldn't see anything that could be CAMO) I performed a calculated guess in what it could be and wandered over to GZ where the quick find was made . Phew an easy 80deg find thanks 80d
Very quiet afternoon here no muggles outside but the boxing gym was open. They did not bother me as I got the numbers and started to walk over to the cache. Nobody in the nets either. I could see the cache sticking out of its hiding spot so I gave it a bit more cover when I left. TFTC.
Found it! Good one took us two girls a good 10 mins to work out the calculations haha
First find for this one this year. I'd done all the chores at home and had my dinner. So decided to knock off a cache or two. Had done a lot of trads recently so decided to do a multi. This was closest to home. I'm hoping to move away from the area soon so don't mind clearing out the area. There was a sport event on at the club but no one paid me any attention. Found the cache at the logical place. Tftc
Couldn't find the A clue till I read previous logs and the hint . Had the park all to myself so it was a pretty straight forward multi which are the ones I prefer . Tn left a GC fridge magnet . Thanks 80degrees .
A quick little multi whilst in the area. A took some tim till read the hint. Some bloke sleeping on geass nearby - random. Found cache easy enough tftc
Found this one today. I had previously been here but was muggled out that time and didn't find wp1. Today wp1 was an easy find despite the people nearby having a conversation. Numbers found and put into gps to see that what I got didn't really make sense. I then rechecked the numbers and realised one number was counted differently from what I had done, corrected it and then was off to find the final. The cricket players in the nets were too busy practicing to see me or what I was doing. Signed log and then tried to work out where I was going!
Thanks for the cache 80degrees.

Find 1280 at 20:41. I was out caching with Burge today and we were out to pick up some new caches all over Melbourne. All in all, I collected 17 on this run and this was my final find for the day.
We found most of the clues quite easily although we struggled to find 'A' in the dark. Thankfully a bit of logical deduction meant we didn't need it to find the cache and we soon had it in hand. Thanks for the hide, 80degrees!

Out with Pantherx on a Extended run. After arriving at the start point we quickly gathered the clues with easy and made our way to gz. It fascinates me that this little quiet ground has 2 grandstands. This back in its day must have been a focal point for the community. Gz at night was an easy grab with no muggles around. The weather shifting from glorious to freezing would have assisted. Tftc tnln sl
We tend to fail at Multis, so we were happy for an easy one. Swapped a fluff ball for a ladybug magnet. TFTC
Out for a stroll with kids in tow, nice little challenge for them to discover. TFTC.
Hard to believe there's still 80degrees caches I hadn't yet found, but lo and behold, there's one in the location my companion and I are caching. A fairly easy multi, and it had to be, as the wind had turned cold within two seconds flat so bitter rain was on its way! My companion spotted it as the rain started pelting us, we signed and sealed and got out of there fast. Cheers again 80degrees - another great container!
Today myself and ThePacMan decided to head to Melbourne to attempt as many cache types in a day as possible. We were on track to do 9 different types when we were alerted that there was a 30+ cache series published. the urge to get many FTF's was greater than the 9th last type that we needed.
This landed up being our 3rd one for the different cache types

After hosting a 9-10-11-12-13 event in Geelong this morning, I teamed up with CT_ZA and we decided to tackle as many different event types as we could in one day. The aim was 9 types. After the event, we headed to Melbourne where we did a letterbox hybrid, a multi, an earthcache, a traditional, a whereIgo, a webcam and a virtual. We completed 8, and in the end just missed the 9th type - an easy mystery cache [B)] !
We had actually done a mystery puzzle earlier in Wiliamstown, but the container was muggled and had no logbook so that didn't count. Late at night, while on our way to finish off an elusive mystery before midnight, we were alerted to a new roadside series published near the Otways. So do we finish the mystery and accomplish the rare opportunity to get 9 cache types in a day, or do we stop now and go chase some FTFs?
After a brief discussion, and with CT_ZA not yet having logged a FTF on any cache, the temptation was too good to resist! We headed to the series, and I ended the night logging 20 FTFs instead of 9 cache types in one day ! Sometimes cachers have to make tough choices ...
This multi was cache type #3 of 8 for the day. As workmen nearby cleaned up the area at WP1, we had no trouble gathering the info and making the easy find of the good camo container at GZ.
Thanks for the cache, 80degrees.

I'm curious to know what was at the initial coordinates for this one - I came across the plaque before I'd reached the spot. A little light reading done by the light of my phone and I had the location of GZ at hand... it turned out to be near where I'd started. I searched around GZ intermittently, stopping for the occasional car parking, before finding the cache. It was larger than expected, and in good nick. Thank you 80degrees for this multi.
Re Phetern's log - The answer to A unfortunatley has gone but some time ago was added into the hints - for those that don't read hints the answer is A=1

Between some retail therapy at Queen Victoria Market and a visit to relatives, we couldn't resist looking for some
Worked through the question, made an educated geoguess and came up with some co-ordinates which proved to be correct. Interested to see that the "newer" grandstand is all boarded up!
FEEDBACK TO CO: The changed circumstance since this cache was published makes it impossible to get the first piece of information (A). Whilst experienced geocachers can work out what is needed, those that are new to the activity may well struggle.
TNLN . . SL . . Thanks for the hunt 80degrees.

Found this cache during a Monday night cache run with Blacklegend, Trailrunning and Rebel Acts (TDC). With no set plan for the night we ended up traveling quite a few kilometers as we started a bit of a clean up run and by the end of the night we were chasing FTF's. A fun and successful night with a couple of tree climbs, some new areas visited and a suprising 7 FTF's.
We didn't have to contend with any muggles as we worked our way to GZ. Thanks 80degrees.

Found on a TDC run, lots of laughs and good times had while out finding caches. Thanks 80degrees for the cache.
Found on another Demolition Crew (TDC) run. As always, another great caching adventure, with many caches found, including 2 x tree climbs for the night and a visit to many different locations. The highlight of the run, 7 x FTF's. Not a bad effort.

Suscoe's 7th find of the day.
Arrived at the first Wpt to find a young couple a bit busy in the back seat of the ford.
So in Suscoe's best ignoring acting we gathered the info (well most of it and took a guess about the other bit).
A nice walk to GZ showed us an interesting cache container.
Well done to 80 degrees for showing us this place.

I decided to divert from my path to take a chance at this multi, knowing previous finders were unable to find the first answer.
I too had no idea what should have been at the coordinates because there's nothing there now. It didn't affect my final results too much.. just a variable, and the other answers were collected without dramas.
It turned out that I picked the missing number first go, as the find was made quickly with coords leading me straight there. I loved the cache container.. hadn't seen one before. Thanks for the smiley on this one.

I started this one about a year and a bit ago.. I messed up a few numbers and found myself looking alot further away than I needed to.. on a more recent trip I re-calculated the same coords again... this time, however after a phone a friend and whilst on the phone to the CO.. I sniffed around the area whilst Mrs. 80 looked up the details.. I beat her to the cache.. Thanks though for the chat and excuse to be wondering aimlessly around the park with the other muggles nearby.. A quiet grab and sign was made with the muggles none the wiser.. Thanks for the cache..
Popped over after street orienteering at nearby Coulson Reserve with drjim7 and when we got here saw BernieH had just arrived. He had also been at orienteering. The information giving the answer to A seems to be missing but we were able to deduce it and all three of us were soon signing the log. The container is reminiscent of some in my kitchen drawer. TFTC.
Out caching after work on the way to orienteering in the west.
Dropped in before orienteering to gather the clues. Returned after with JosieY and DrJim7 to solve and seek the prize. Reasonably quick find.

Today, my caching buddy SedgwickDave and I were headed for Brimbank Park to find the 26 GCA Caches that had been placed there. It started as a rainy morning but ended up as a beautiful sunny day. but first thing is first, find a few caches on the way. Also, as is also a self imposed requirement for our caching runs is to find at least three different cache types. We managed five today... Trad, Multi, Puzzle, Earth and Letterbox.
This one was our final cache for the day as well as our 5th cache type. We were a bit confused at the start and searched for some time but couldnt find "A" we pressed on anyway, gathering the other information needed, then doing the maths used common sense to work out what "A" should be. we cot it correct the first go and a nice cache container was found not too far away.
Thanks to 80degrees for the Cache. TNLN.

Was out with Ahomburg today doing the GCA "Pet Rock" power trail at Brimbank park and on the drive back we need to find a multi for today's run stats and for our 3 type rule requirement but in fact foudn 5. This one we were passing by on the way home so made it an ideal one to attempt. Arrived at the start and couldn't find the answer for A. Actually not sure what 'CAMO' means. So leaving this number we collected the other answers and seeing how A was used we made the logical guess for its value and Bingo cache in hand shortly afterwards. A nice short multi and an interesting bit of history here too. I do not often come over to this part of Melbourne so thanks for bringing me here. A fun multi. [^] TFTC 80 degrees

Number 1 of 4 on my cycle along the Maribyrnong River today. The info for A took me a while to determine but I got there in the end. Was swooped a couple of times by the magpie but by having a helmet and glasses on it didn't worry me too much. The nicely camo'ed contained was then duly found - good job 80degrees and thanks.
A quiet walk in the Saturday morning drizzle - no muggles , no magpies. I enjoyed the contrast between the old and the new plaques but initially muddled the number of councillors. An enjoyable cache and an interesting container. Thanks and cheers!
Our first multi-cache for the day, which is very lazy of us, because it is now technically dusk. B1 had try to do this cache without B2 and had some difficulty. (B2 will have to confiscate technology!) After a short walk, and using subterfuge to distract muggle mum and kids (a lost toy), cache was found by both B1 and B2. Signed log and went to find our last two caches for the day. We were very impressed with colour ordination. Thanks 80degrees
The starting co-ordinates put me right where I needed to be, I just had to take a step before I noticed the amusing camo. After that I made my way to the next WP, gathered my info and plonked down nearby to work out GZ and plug into the GPS. I meandered off and my counting proved to be correct, as I found the cache. I liked the camo, I have never seen a container like this before. Thanks 80degrees for the cache.
Did some shopping at Highpoint and wandered down to find this one. Some kids were running about at WP1 but nobody took any interest in me looking around.
Walking around with a clipboard must have looked suspicious to one helpful muggle who noticed me near camo. Once I had assured him I was Ok and not from the council he went back to watching the match on the oval.
Took the short walk to discover the interesting container and on my return walk to the car was nearly flattened by the teams as they ran off towards the rooms for half time.

I've got fond memories of this place from the 60s, when it was Tracey's Speedway. Thanks for bringing me here.
Nearly had to log this a DNF due to the swooping Magpies near WP1 - be warned cachers! However, once the plodder's hat was put on and the plod stick waved about my head as a 'defence measure' I could decipher the clues needed and fled the mad Magpies to find the cache. A most impressive cache I must add too once found, despite someone dumping rotting bananas atop the cache. The plod stick came in handy again. I much enjoyed the grandstands at WP1 - a couple of little gems - and I will come back to watch some local Cricket in a few weeks on the basis of what I saw with this cache - a beaut' location.

As usual I had planned a night of caching with my good buddy jsmyong55. We had quite a number on the list, and I never thought we would get through them all. We did and then some! The final tally for the night has not yet been realised as there are both Geocaching Australia.com and Geocaching.com caches in the mix, but we both know we both grabbed over 50 caches each. To get jsmoyong55 over the line we detoured from a direct route to his home to get a few more. It was the first time for both of us to get over 50 so we were both pretty pleased with our efforts. This cache was one of those we grabbed. After collecting the clues we drove (I know lazy us, but we were getting tired) to near GZ and soon had the cache in hand. Thanks 80degrees.
Out on a legendary cache run with caching buddy Trailrunning. For the first time, we actually completed the whole list and added a few more on the way home to meet the 50-find cache mark. Started early at 5.45pm all the way till 2am before we went home tired, but happy. 2 DNF's along the way but an awesome run all the same.
Trailrunning gathered one half of the clues while I gathered the rest. We worked out the calculations and drove to GZ which was just in walking distance. TFTC

After nearly a month break from caching, while we re-plastered the kitchen, today I was back and not only hiding a new cache and re-enabling one of my other ones, but also finding caches! This cache was my third of 15 for the day and my first stop after dropping off my own shiny new cache. There seemed to be some junior sport about to start on the oval as I arrived and I was doubtful of my stealthy abilities to pick the cache up. It turned out they were slow to start and I was easily able to make the find in the end. I really liked the container, although one end did seem to be a little damp, the log itself is dry. Thanks for the cache 80degrees, up to you usual tricky standard!
at 1130. The maths had been collected and calculations done a month or so ago, on one of my frequent GENEBAT days, it's taken until today to collect the attractively watertight cache and to sign the lovely, dry, log.

I was a bit surprised that the first clue was on what appeared to be a moveable object. On closer inspection it didn't look like it had moved in a long time, so I guess there's little chance of it moving in the future. Grabbed the other answers nearby, then headed to my calculated GZ for a quick find. Thanks for the cache.

Found today with Bushfire at 9:50am. The goal was to get a many different types of caches as possible, and this was 6. It was an early morning start and now on our way to Bendigo for an event cache. We arrived at the plaque where we gathered enought information to get us to GZ for a quick find with no-one about. Nice spot with a couple of guys running up and down the pavilion steps for training, thanks 80degrees.
A very early start today to try and establish a new record for Bushfire & Shane.Thompson in the number of different types of caches found in one day. Our aim was eight different types which we achieved after traveling approximately 555 Km. At lunch time we arrived at Laanecoorie and was chatting to the organizers of this very well run event and C@H was there and then he told us that they had bettered us as they found ten different types of caches and only traveled 580 Km in one day. Well we were very happy and had a terrific day’s caching and that was our aim.
We arrived here and gathered the required numbers and wandered off to GZ and the different type of contained was located at 09.50am. Great that is the first multi found today and the fifth different type of cache. Log was signed and then it was off to try to locate a Mailbox cache. Now these are very hard to find are there are so few of them around, there are only four that I have not found within 250km of Geelong.
Thanks to 80Degrees for placing this cache.

Really enjoyed this little multi, with a sneaky maths problem to boot.
Got the required answers, and found that GZ was back where I'd parked the car about 5M away.
Nice container too, watertight, and camoed.
Thanks 80degrees, TNLNSL

We enjoyed watching the guy on the oval practising his martial arts - but only when we were looking. Had wondered whether these containers would be any good for caching. A nice little spot - TFTC
We had our lunch in the grandstand, as the ground was empty when we arrived. We should have grabbed the cache first, as a few people settled in. We out waited a couple, and then did the cache.
I was wondering what the CAMO was - now I know. (Just noticed it taking the esky back to the car)
A quick calculation, and a pleasant walk, and the cache was in hand.
Thanks, Robmc.

Found quickly on a bike ride next to the river. Took party popper, left keyring. TFTC
5.00pm
Found by Roma and Max.
A game of cricket was being played on the oval and even though their teams very enthusiastic supporters were clustered around our data gathering zone they were far more interested in their teams efforts than our presence!
Once again good numbers made for an easy find
Thanks once more,
from Romax.

Filling in some time after work before attending an appointment. This was 3rd for the night and not surprised to find a piece of machinery. Gathered the clue quickly and then set off. Not a sole round tonight so retrieving the cache was no problem. Loved the container, I wish I have bought some of my TB's along tonight, as I know they would be safe
Nice easy find.
Thanks for the cache 80 degrees

Found by the chicken part of Team Ladava while the better half braved the Highpoint crowds for some last minute Christmas shopping. No. 2 grandchild has broken his arm so inspiration was needed as the original present was no longer suitable.
No one around today so the information was easily gathered and the stroll made to the calculated GZ. My calculations had me a few metres away and reluctantly feeling around an area with some unsavoury rubbish nearby but a step back and the prize was clearly visible nearby.

Only one cricketer had turned up when we got there. Nearly had us stumped on the first clue! Interesting that this location had been previously been a speedway. Easy find at GZ as the container had been exposed. One side is a bit soggy, but the log is safe and dry. TFTC
Got to GZ as the cricketers were warming up and was glad that the info hadn't moved at all. I then proceeded to punch in the wrong figures and wondered why my GZ made no sense. The correction did however and was just far enough away from those flannelled fools. Thanks 80degrees.
Found 9.00am
We enjoyed gathering the information to calculate GZ, it was then a short walk to locate the cache.

The first cache of the day after hiding a couple of Gnomes for the GeGnome Project.
No problems gathering the clues and then it was a stroll across the still wet grass to GZ where the nicely done cammo containter was found.
Took nothing, left nothing.
Thanks 80degrees for this cache experience here today.

This is one of those parks with old pavillions that you see in passing from the road and pique your interest, but you never get around to investigating further. My curiosity about this area has at last been satisfied! I do like old Grandstands, and I look at foundation stones and plaques etc. and wonder at the celebration that must have accompanied their unveiling, What was it like back in 1935 at the unveiling and what were the Councillors like? The cache was found quickly (after some difficultly spotting the first waypoint!) and I really liked the look of the container. Unfortunately it isn't completely waterproof, so I did dry it out with the towel I had on hand. Signed the log, picked up the TB, TNLN. TFTC.
Found for 2nd of our night run me and nmacd. Swaps were wet, dropped off travel bug
Found it @ approx. 12:55
Found under the watchful eye of a council worker that seemed to be inspecting the closed grandstand.
A nice easy find on a great melbourne day.
Love the container as well.

I have never seen this small oval before so it was a pleasure to vist late morning today.
I did not take into account the swooping magpies and due to them I did not have the courage to find 'A'
I did however find the rest of the info while ducking in and out of the shelter of the stairwell.
I took a guess at 'A'
A good one as it turned out, obviously
I have not seen this type of cache container either.
Thanks 80degrees

Thanks for a nice cache - and an interesting container too. Made assumptions about where WP1 was to start with, but soon fixed that and set off for the search. Took a little while, but eventually found it - great job on the camouflage.
While traveling to a nearby dance (which the owner of this cache was also attending) decided to leave early and do a few caches on the way.
Parked my car at the top of the hill and walked down. Initially walked to the plaque thinking I know where WP1 will be, but wrong, looked a the GPS and went to the real WP1.
Finding the cache was also a bit hard because I was at the wrong bush. Looked for a while before expanding my search and finding the GPS liked another location.
Congratulations on your first Multi it was fun.

Rather nice little multi, I played on this ground many years ago.
I drove round to gz and was soon signing the log.

We had no idea what a 'CAMO' was, that was interesting.
