Logs
The view is spectacular, live in the area and have never stopped here before - loved the hide to. TFTC the clue really helped
Looked everywhere it says micro but also a painted black brown screw top 2nd time trying no still cannot find
Walked around for about 30 mins in the garden and everywhere but I couldn't find it
Finding a previous cache with the same type of hide aided me in coming back here a second time and locating successfully. Tftc
We had to come back for a second time to this one. Still trying to learn the ropes! Find 3 for our little troopers. Thanks heaps Injuryman for the guiding encouragement and assistance
Quick find after finishing off an adventure lab. Enjoying the holiday up here, thanks for the fun!
Ive been a dnf here before, not sure how I didnt find it before as Im sure Ive looked there. Glad to turn this into a yellow smiley today. TFTC
Nearly a DNF here today.First look produced nothing and GPS bouncing around.A pause and reread over clue and past logs gave the motivation to search again. This time in the right spot, a cache was found.TFTC! All good here.
We were passing by after taking care of an errand nearby and decided this looked like the perfect spot to stop and grab our find for today. Gotta keep that streak going!A favorite point just because this type of hide always tickles us.Thanks for find #5157TNLN
We had a great morning caching in the area and this is one we found with the helpful hint. All good here, log signed and replaced as found. Thanks miloryder for the cache and the ongoing maintenance. Fav for the location.
Checked this cache just now [ 1pm monday] and still in good condition and in place. bye

Apologies for the late log here (08.01.24) but I've had a busy time since getting back to the UK.Now logs give my DNF here some much needed context. Some you win... I got the local AdLab stage anyway, so it wasn't a 'wasted visit'.SP (UK) on an epic trek right around the world.
I checked this cache this morning and it looks like the council has tidied up the spiky gardens so I will place another container at the same GPS location, this weekend, but a little different,
happy hunting.
happy hunting.
I noticed something glinting in the light of my headlamp after a short search. Thanks for placing this cache miloryder
Tricky. We nearly gave up, spent close to 30 minutes looking. Recommend long pants very spiky. Good hide though.
miloryder I found your cache Petrie Lookout on 18/12/2022, 1:40 pm. This is my find 4582 and find # 5 today. Found it after a search and a read of previous logs. About 5 meters out for me. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
Today I had to take MissTT11 to scouts way up on the north side so I decided to make a day of it with her until we dropped her off and then with just Mr9.
Took a bit to find. Nearly gave up. My gps was accurate. I was put off by other comments and looking beyond gz.

This afternoon, after celebrating a one-year birthday party in the morning, I thought I would take the opportunity to visit some of the nearby northern suburbs, which included Murrumba Downs, Petrie, and Joyner. I had a few targeted geocaches on my list, and I closed out my afternoon attempting to defeat a few of the Petrie/Joyner Witches.
I previously had a DNF here on 22/05/2021, and since then, there appeared to have been a mix of quick/easy finds, and DNFs. So quite the polarising performance. Somewhat in the area today, I was keen to knock this frown off my map, so I made the detour here to admire the views once again. It still took me another 5-10 minutes of walking and looping around GZ, before eventually finding the cache. This was a very tough and illogical hide, and I do worry about damage to the plants from Geocachers. There really are nice views, and it is an appropriate location for a cache, but perhaps an alternative cache location can be selected? The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks miloryder for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

We are on a 2 month trip from Portland via the Mundi Mundi Bash to a wedding in Brisbane and then out west for QOGM in Charleville.
Day 4 of our stay in Dayboro and this afternoon we headed back to Brisbane for dinner. We had intended to spend some time in Petrie but it was too busy to enjoy driving around so we just collected a couple of caches and then kept going.
Thanks for contributing to the fun miloryder

Way to spiky for us to find today, bit of a bummer but all good! Maybe don't wear thongs for this one and be really careful.
Great find, gps is off, looking through the clumps of long blade plants and you’ll find it
Good luck… we were here for at least 30 mins, all I’ll hint better is “If you wanna play, play in the bush, watch out for the critters or the plants may bite you”
Similar to others this was close to the final spot of the heritage adventure lab. Opened the app and saw this close by. Found within 2 minutes. All is safe and dry. TFTC.
Me and my 3 friends tried to find it but we didn’t we look at the hint/ and the place where it was but it’s alright we tried
Full time nomads since 2014. Still tootling around the country trying to avoid Covid hotspots.
Back in Dakabin for a week.
Found while doing a few AL in the area.
Had to revert to a few older logs of finders to get a GZ for the tricky cache

While in the area doing an adventure in Petrie and at the last spot to complete the series, I decided to see if there were any other caches nearby. This one came up and I had my doubts I would find it since a few before had DNF. Happy to say the cache is alive and well and quickly located. Log signed and put back in place. TFTC
A lot of garden trampling and ridiculous number of spiky plants on the attack. DNF for me today.

Thanks for taking us here miloryder. Nice view. Poked everywhere, not here for us today.
I remember having a brief look for this one in the past, but with people in the play park we decided to move on. Back today, and we certainly dug up some rubbish in the area but sadly not a geocache container.
Great views from GZ, but no find for us today.
Thanks

Relogging found caches under the name Bonkersandshush to my other accountGAZKERSH.Thanks.Nice quick find while in the area thanks for the cache
Today, I joined karicka in a morning hike in the Dandy Ranges, walking past part of Lake Manchester. It was a nippy morning that got warm, with a number of steep hills walked up and down. After lunch, jesswrigley and I headed to the northern suburbs, where we stopped off at Strathpine, Leis Park, Petrie and Old Petrie Town, and completed the *The North Pine Heritage Trail* Adventure Lab. We ended up running out time exploring Old Petrie Town, so another trip to be scheduled no doubt.
We had a pretty decent search here for 10-15 minutes, and in the end, this geocache defeated us. I have to agree that this cache hide is probably not the best, as it encouraged us to walk around and damage the garden, and there were so many prickly bushes here too. It certainly doesn't feel like a difficulty of just 1.5. Perhaps an added hint will help with this one. Thanks anyway miloryder for the cache placement.

Discovered this lookout at the end of the North Pine Heritage trail adventure lab & after an extensive search around the garden cursing the spiky lomandra and bunya needles underfoot, a cache did not reveal itself.
Checked on the cache and replaced the log and new pencil, good to go. Good luck to all.
We arrived at the lookout with Hans and Linda with us (muff1) feeling that we have found a cache here once before. While we hung around trying to look innocent while a few children played on the nearby equipment. Next we heard 'where are your masks', it was the CO who had come to check on his cache. After a lovely conversation we continued on our way.
It was great to meet you.

TFTC. We were just about to start the search here when the CO turned up. We had a nice chat and then found the caches which had creeped somewhat. muff1 and us signed the log sheet and then the Co performed mice by replacing the logbook and adding a pencil. The views from here are great. Thanks for placing and the interesting chat today miloryder.
Offered a spare seat on a roadtrip with The Rats and Wilbert67 to the Dayboro Mega, jumped at the chance to accept, and together with Steeba (who flew up), we joined forces to become “the Gong Gang” over the Easter weekend. Aside from the rain and threats of last minute border restrictions, it turned into 2500km of fun, finds and adventures. Thanks to the Gang for the invite, company and shared solves/searches and all the COs for the smiley opportunities. Apologies for the generic log (unless further comments required) but we got through a LOT!!
Found this cache as part of our Easter long-weekend road trip to the Dayboro mega event. A great adventure and plenty of finds, teamed up with Wilbert, Mizmaz and steeba for this roadtrip.
Many of our logs are signed with "Gong gang" to represent all four of us who were present. Apologise for the boiler style log.
Not the best day for caching due to the weather but we still had fun slipping n sliding.
Thanks for the cache.
