No luck!!! Mum had been here before, and confirmed that it was definitely not where it was meant to be.
I really really shouldn't have done this one as by the time I had logged it, filled the rental car with petrol and returned it, the check in to my flight home had closed. The nice man at the counter did check me and my bag in but it was straight on to the plane in a slightly dishevelled manner only to find my very elegant manager waiting for the connecting plane at Christchurch! Oh well another smilie and alls well that ends well. have I learned my lesson - mmm probably not. TFTC #6161
Down South for work so made a few finds while I was here. Grass was a bit sodden. and there where some deep tracks. Thanks for the hide.
Nice and easy. Spent 3 minutes trying to screw the cap off then relived that you pull it.. Duh! TFTC
Found at our night caching trip. we admired the stars - how intense the starts are shining in this part of the world!! We have been living here for a few years now but we are still astonished by the darkness in the countryside. TFTC
Quick find before a shower arrived, but took a bit to extract as the log was stuck in the bottom.

Found it. Last find for the day and what a day we [Doully and I] had.

When the 31 days of caching came out I only had 6 caches to find within 50kms of home and it wasn't possible. But with the proliferation of caches this month I'll instead attempt 31 caches in a day. 15 of 31. Tftc
Quite a nice area. Took a bit of looking and in the end the wife spotted it!

Found it but unfortunately it had a lot of water in it and the log book was sopping wet and unusable. Drained it out and re-hid it but it needs maintenance.
Looked all around the stone and surrounding garden. Couldn't find it - maybe we're just rookies and need to try harder ;}
A night find after kids said they wanted to stay at grandma and grandad's. Found with wethreefourdices, Castlewood_Crew and CacheManChris.

Often driven by here without realising a plaque was even there. Thanks for the history.
I remember as a child collecting raspberries from just around the corner - mmm those were the days TFTC

Caching with Ghostgums, Mr Meccano, Gunnie69, kaisho53 and fourbees after attending the NZ Mega. We stopped in a firm track area then walked across the waterlogged grass to make a quick find. TFTC AdventureTharon.
Another days caching in Otago. Decided to do a few out this way this afternoon. Parked roadside and walked across very wet soggy grass and could see where vehicles had driven previously. Quick find with no muggles about. TFTC.
Day 5 on our 6 day caching trip to Dunedin for the NZ MEGA 2012 event with Gunnie69, Kaisho53, Ozibags, ghostgums and MrMeccano. Once again we hit the road reasonably early with a plan. The day started off spent around Saint Clair, St Kilda, South Dunedin, Kensington, Mosgiel, and Caversham.
Sorry about the bulk log but I am never going to catch up at this rate.
TFTC, AdventureTharon!

The group took the long way to GZ as we were not sure on access to the area. Although the path was probably a little less soaked, we had to scale the bank in order to get to the right spot...
Once there, the cache revealed itself quickly though and we were grateful to not have a long hunt in the threatening weather. Log out and a sticker added, it was tucked away and we moved on. The shorter route back to the van was chosen but we ended up sinking into the sodden grass... Hmm, I guess there were some benefits of chosen the other way in...
Found in the company of fellow Queensland hunters Kaisho53, OziBags, TheFourBees, Ghostgums and Mr Meccano.
Cheers Adventure Tharon.

Out and about caching with rosmar during the mega event. A nice quick find here. TFTC!!!
We were in Dunedin for the NZ Mega event and we were out and about finding caches in the company of Funkymunkyzone. Found a safe park at the side of the road due to the CO's warning of the soft grass. Appears others had not taken much notice of this warning. The hint made for a quick find. TFTC.

Homeward bound after the Mega, via the South Island Orienteering champs at Naseby. A quick first find of the day. TFTC.

Yeah - I could tell from a mile away that ground was soggy - I drove around the back and parked there and walked up. No need to tear the lush grass a new one by ripping it up with my tyres.
I approached from one direction, but didn't find anything from that pass. I tried a more conventional pass and found it well-hidden. It was in good condition. A beautiful little roadside area. TFTC AdventureTharon

What a cool spot for a cache. Another one to add our Mega totals.

I visited your cache as part of a week-long self indulgent Geocaching trip from Nelson to Bluff and back again. I apologise for not leaving a completely personalised log, but I do want to thank you for the time, money and effort you put into placing your caches. Without people like you who place caches, there would be nothing for the rest of us to come and find. You are fantastic

Another great find on the Emvy_Us / Waiiti20 mega tour of the Southern South Island. TFTC
We over shot the cache and had to come back to the preferred start point.
Once there the walk to the cache was safe and plesant.
I don't know what the people living here would have made of the Mega cachers coming in numbers.
SamWalkers caching with Mr Roo on the way to NZ Mega.

Found on the trip to the NZ mega with Sam walkers. Parked on the road behind and then went up the hill to gz. Once there made a quick find. Nice little garden TFTC
Nice camo on cache container. Nice to see the 75th Jubilee of hostilities in WWI remembered, and no doubt something that came out of the ill-fated Sesquicentennial celebrations in 1990. Ground very boggy this morning, especially surrounding the picnic table.

Did some of our own gardening on a wet and windy day in Dunedin.
Located this cache without too much difficulty whilst visiting for the Mega Event with Skibeagle163.
Thanks AdventureTharon. We look forward to finding many of your other hides on our visit.

On our way to Mosgiel couldn't drive by this one. Quick find. Very windy here today. NINO TFTC
Went down the wrong road - no exit and wrong side of garden. U turn, back to the main road, wrong side of road, U turn again, cache found, then our third U turn to find our temporary home. Thanks.
Recall a previous multi cache here 5 years ago, that we also enjoyed, based on the big flood.

I took the long way to the airport and was glad I did. It is so boring always going on SH1 all the time.
Cheers for the cache.

We found this sitting out in open so after signing the log we rehid with a little more care. We also paid a visit to Outram Glen where we had gone for a picnic some 55 years ago. Some very pleasant memories associated with this area..

We went in from the other way, so instead of walking across boggy grass we went scrambling up a bank. TFTC.
