Decided a change would be good so headed south of the border to rustle a few southern smilies!
Byron Bay & surrounds were our target for today.
Another quick find for us today.
Tumulgum is such a lovely spot.
We have been here a few times & sampled the wares of the local.

As previous log, our gps had us in the flooded bank. Reading logs gave us clue to location. TNLN. TFTC.
Gps had me much closer to the water than i shoild have been. After a quick serach in the most logical spot we turned out the cache. Thanks!
Tumbulgum was to be our lunch stop but as it was a bit early we thought this cache should fill in the time. We first looked for it a couple of years ago but were muggled out by neighbours sitting on their balconies and another washing sheets of tin(?) and we just couldn't spot the hide. This time with luck on our side and a big neighbourhood blocking vehicle, we found the cache in 10 seconds flat. So it was a cache and an early lunch for us...great fish and chips, beautiful location. TFTC Herbz.
Out for a day of caching with Nyssaflutterby, Angela from Team DNA and barbbowman.
Our last cache for the day, before heading back to Brisbane and it's a Herbz cache. Certainly glad this is easier than some of his others
Log signed, cache replaced.

The last find for the day, and happy to sign off on a Herbz cache. What a mighty adventure our little road trip had taken us on Tunnels and bats... crazy Dukes of Hazzards rally car driving... All part of a normal geocaching adventure I'm sure. Our mighty crew of Team DNA, barbbowman, FastEd 59 and myself were needing to head for home, no more "just one more" excuses... This was it
We approached GZ and Ang found the cache quickly. We all signed the log and then replaced the cache as we had found it. A lovely location to stop for a smiley.
Thanks for the cache Herbz

On a NSW adventure with Nyssafluttery, barbbowman and FastEd59.
We had completed the two caches we had come down to grab and was left with some extra time! We decided to follow the cache trail and see how we went!
We had been saying, "Just one more" for awhile, but, looking at the time, we had to admit that we were going to be pushing it to get back to BrisVegas on time.
But, just one more cache!!! Ok, this will have to be it then!! I'm the first one out of the Rocket and around I go, racing everyone to GZ. I haven't checked the hint, I just wan't to find a cache as I have only located one out of all the group finds today!!
Round I go, thinking this could just end up being chance when I leant in to start removing leaves and wouldn't you know it.... I spotted the cache!!! YIPPIE!!!
That's TWO for me now!!!

Visiting from Newcastle, staying at Kingscliff. Finally found after 17 (or so) previous attempts, mind you that must be some tall basketball player to have his knee up there! TFTC Herbz!!
Geo Wife and I had today free so I plotted a route and some caches that would give a great day out.
We were needing to head homeward but we just had to pick up this 3 caches very close together first.
Our last for today and what a day it had been, the weather was perfect even with a light shower up the mountain and we were DNF free!!!
We spotted the probable GZ as we pulled up, it is hard to miss, but we believed the wavering GPS and went off on a wild cache chase.
Finally we saw sense and headed back to our first target and after a proper search came up with the prize.
Thanks Herbz TFTC SL The cache is very dry and in good condition, well done!!

Despite the sunday afternoon traffic, I was able to retrieve and replace without getting sprung TFTC
This was out last cache of the day as the sun has long gone and we forgot the torches. Luckily this one wasn't too bad. Today we managed 44 caches in total. We also logged our first EarthCache which just so happened to be our 500th find as well. Thanks Herbz, for placing the 514th cache we've found so far!
Had occasion to be driving past so I thought that I would drop in on this one. Muggles were few and far between and I was able to recover it without too much trouble. Area is well known for humungous floods - hope the waters don't rise too much. TFTC Herbz.
Found with the geo-crew during a mountain bike tour of Tumbulgum. There was a muggle sweeping her verandah across the road but the geo-kids searched and found it without detection. Many thanks Herbz
Dannza and I had a couple of days off work, so what better way to spend it then a caching road trip to Byron Bay. After finding Meeting of the Waters and nursing my bruised arm received while retrieving the cache, this was a welcome easy find which Dannza located as I was still suffering from shock. haha TFTC Herbz
Trip from Queensland to Coffs Harbour with Everlasting and geodog! Lovely view.. TFTC
Found while on Christmas caching holiday with Brother Colin. A delightful spot and many families were out enjoying the day.
HAPPY BOXING BAY.
Mum has recently bought a van to travel around Australia in a few months time.
So a test run was needed. [^]
So a few days were planned to head south from Brissy and travel from cache to cache.
On Xmas Day we slowly we made our way south to Byron Bay and then up to Brunswick Heads looking for a caravan park to stay for the night without success. Eventually we found space at Wooyung.
Today we plan to make our way slowly north going from cache to cache. It seems every caravan park up the coast is full so we decided to head inland, eventually finding space in Murwillumbah. Lots of caches out this way as well. [^]
I came looking for this one about a year and a half ago without success. With lots of 'found it' logs I felt positive. And yes a quick find this time.
Thanks for the cache.

Out galavanting today. Heading south to fill in an empty box in my finds by date placed box. Starting to get dark, and I am sort of heading homeward now. A dog across the road was not pleased with my presence, but his owners were busy in the garage, out of sight. A nice quick find at GZ
Decided to go on a drive in an area South of the Gold Coast today, collecting mainly drive by type caches, with 3 of the kiddies on board. Grabbed quite a few finds for the day, and one DNF, but that happens. Good weather, good time driving around. We even grabbed three of those finds at night. Thanks to all cache owner for hiding and maintaining their caches. TFTC.

I've been before and am glad to say that today this was a very easy find. Thanks Herbz as my dog always likes a good piece of grass and to sit in the shade for a while.
A nice location beside the Tweed River, especially when caching early in the morning TFTC
Early morning visit to Tumbulgum with Richmond Lad. lovely setting. Thank you Herbz.
Came to this cache a long time ago only to find that the bottom several feet of the location hiding the cache had been under water and there was no cache to be seen. Today it was a quick discovery while we were in the area. Thanks for the cache on the banks of this beautiful river Herbz. It's always a pleasure to come here. TNLNSL. [^][^]
Sadly it was a DNF for us today. We had a chat to some neighbours across the road who told us that the water had been over a metre high in their ground floor areas of their houses last weekend. The water is back in it's boundaries today however all likely hiding places for the cache were filled with heavy river silt. Using a little garden tool I had in the car we dug in a few likely spots but couldn't come up with the cache.
A quick find and last for the day as it was getting time to head home.. was looking in the wrong place for a start but widened our search and the cache was in hand.. TFTC?
Last one for the day after a trip to mount Warning. After my gps had a bit of a tantrum found this one pretty easily. Thanx herbz
TFTC,
At long last I have located this little succer.
On our way to this Nana Nel stoped at a Cache I did a couple of years ago (meeting of the waters) and signed the log.
Visited a group of trackables sharing day 306 of my personal challenge to complete 366 continuous days caching inbcluding the 29th February (something you can only do every 4th year).

Found with Wazza9 after I been to visit Meeting of the Waters, we have looked for this one before.
On the way to Surfers for Xmas, had a night in Marwillumbah to do the Lolly Bag Loop & to find a few other caches as well.
Hi Herbs good to do one of your caches again. This is a lovely spot, haven't been through here since the highway passed it many moons ago.
Thanks

One cache left in town and a Herbz one at that, it would be the height of rudeness to not find it, and we almost didn't. It was late, late evening and we had no torches for the hunt. Parked up and headed in for the hunt. It was as dark as a fig tree's roots as night so it was down to tapping away with a stick and listening for the sound of timber of cache. Well after about 5 minutes it hadn't come. I started looking further afield, and with no cache still I marked it as a rude DNF.
Back towards the car Whint noted a photo on the cache page, so with that and a quick flash of phone torch the little bugger was found. Ah, thank goodness for that. I grabbed it out and we signed the log under a distant streetlight. TFTC Herbz, glad to have grabbed this one after thinking it was not to be

Final cache for the day with Captain Terror after attending an event in Ballina where we saw the CO It was total darkness, no streetlights to give us any light at all... and of course it was on the river side so we could not use the headlights :/ We had no torch and we were not too keen to be poking about in this tree in the dark.... we looked and looked and looked some more and were about to give it up thinking we needed some sort of light so daytime might be better... my phone battery was on about 10% so I decided to use it for just a quick look and it was the first place I shone it... yay! No DNF for us today What a sweet little container this one is too
tftc, a very good day for us in NSW
