Thanks to Jimmymaff for this interesting multi cache. This one took us two visits and we were pleased that we were finally able to sign the log.A bit drizzly today.

26-May-24
Log a soggy mess so walked back to car, got a new log and added to cache. I was very unsure I had right area and not convinced I accessed cache location the best way. Loved learning about Harold Parsons. The journey to find cache has taken quite some time. Well set out multi Jimmymaff Thanks for the adventure Regardskbucky

GT37 had found this cache on a previous visit so she was adamant that we would enter the area from a different direction than she had. The cache was found with no problems and we were on our way. Thanks for placing the cache for all to find.

See previous note for this epic journey so far that started back on 6/09 when there was much cursing. The cursing continued at the final as a few branches snapped under my feet. I wasn't sure if I would be able to reach. But there was a will (after the epic journey i wasn'tgiving in) I found a way. The read smer on the log would be mine as the container is not waterproof and the log is wet.

Im 3/4 of the way through finding this cache. I didn't realise this cache would take me on a journey covering well over 30km. WP1 calculations done no issues. WP2 surprisingly found the info in the first place I stuck my hand. WP3 was on my journey home. I misread the info thinking this was the finale, so l had wrongly subtracted 9 from the south grr. Wondered around aimlessly before going back to the original information, which had GZ at a more reasonable spot. It still took some searching to find the next set of co-ordinates sigh......okay the finale will have to wait as heading to it was not along my path home.

16-Jul-23
We weren't able to complete this one without a PAF. Not sure that we took the correct route to this one as we had a LOT of muggles around. We passed them and approached GZ from a different angle, found, signed and replaced the cache and got out of there. Thanks for the cache.

16-Jul-23
Headed out east this weekend to visit some friends. So obviously a bit of caching to be done before and after.

We had the first bit of info in hand, and headed to wp2 where we struggled to find anything. Resorted to a paf who gave us what we needed to reach gz. A short while later, we were at gz and signing the logbook.

Thanks for bringing us here by placing this cache, Jimmymaff

Out with My good friends Ski Pair for another Gippsland caching adventure, today we concentrated our efforts in the Sale area before heading home via Mafra.

This is one of the caches found today.

Thanks Jimmymaff for the cache.

After dutifully working our way through the waypoints we arrived at GZ but a thorough search turned up nothing. As we were dejectedly driving away Rebel decided to re-read the description and found a vital piece of information at the end. With this in hand and coords recalculated we returned to the area and made the find.

Our grandchildren have all gone back home and we have completed a number of appointments and tasks we had to do so it was time to do some caching.
We contacted our good mate Rebel Acts and it was decided we should journey to Sale and tackle the caches we have not yet found there. Sadly there were 4 still offline after the recent floods, but there were still plenty to keep us occupied. A Virtual, some multis and a range of traditionals with some bike riding thrown in.
The weather was great and there was the usual banter and fun to make a day well spent.
All caches signed as RASP (Rebel Acts & SKI Pair)

Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache Jimmymaff.

Find #10820

Found while travelling with sharkiefan, on an extended long weekend.

After having so much fun finding the waypoints for this one in the dark and being so proud that we did. (As we spent quite some time at each one). We were a little disapointed to find nothing at GZ on the first night. After a 2nd look the next day and spending quite some time here, still nothing was.
We were so guttered..... after a message to CO for a hint or clue. We still came up empty.... oh my. This was such a memorable cache for the weekend. The fact we had found all waypoints and giggled after finding them as the time it took on each one.
We were determined to locate the final. Last check today before leaving town and still 0.

But a big thanks to Jimmymaff as he checked and confirmed that the hide has bern removed by other means and has happily allowed us to log a find. Smile
A big thanks Jimmymaff, first off for all your challenging caches around Sale and second, allowing us to log this one a true memorable find of our weekend.

Lodging my Found it log with CO permission. Cheers Jimmymaff!.

FUF009 and I did this cache at night time and hunted for the cache at GZ daily until we left.

Parts of this multi were hidden so well that you would not believe there was something there until you saw them.

The sense of achievement in getting through this is massive. Both FUF009 and I had such fun combined with complete and utter frustration looking for these clues. Finding one gave us such a buzz. We even did a high five after finding the final coords.
A little premature as it turned out.

Its a relief to know that GZ was missing and we werent just cache blind

Thanks Jimmymaff for the adventure.
How rewarding to sign off on this one.

GZ has been taken down. Will find new hide asap

I am so gutted not to have found this one. It is now my nemesis cache.
I had logged a DNF a few years ago (2015) after failing to find WP2. This time I was with caching buddy FUF009 and we got all the way through to finding GZ which was in a pleasingly familiar area to us.
We hunted everywhere but being where is it, it was sometimes a bit open to scrutiny from nearby tenants.
FUF009 is certain a tree is missing and thats where it should have been.
I, myself, just dont know, seeing as we've DNFd quite a few Jimmymaff caches in and around the area this weekend.
Sigh. I have to say that what we did find at the waypoints were challenging to find and getting to GZ was so rewarding. Not finding it is like a slug in the guts.
I will watch this with interest until I come back or it gets archived.

19-Feb-21
Checked the waypoints on a ride today. Both in good condition.

Sitting at my computer during these Covid lockdowns, I am trying to catch up on a few logs that I haven't sent in yet.

Over the years, geocaching has taken me on many adventures, including interesting destinations all over my home continent of Australia and many overseas as well. It has also introduced me to a diverse group of like-minded caching tragics, many of whom I now call close friends.

Today, I was lucky enough to be out and about searching for caches, something I do on almost a daily basis. This was one cache that was targeted and found.

Sorry for the late log, something I am notorious for. Thank you for adding to the adventure that is geocaching.

Thanks Jimmymaff for the cache.

Made it to all the waypoints but thought I made a big mistake for calculating the final GZ. Thanks for sharing this interesting story, grabbed the TB coin thingy, signed and replaced...TFTC

23-Jun-19
Decided to give this a go after my brother JHandGB found it after a few DNFs. Found all the multi points fairly quickly, an interesting piece of history I didn’t know about.

15-Jun-19
TFTC. Despite previous DNF we decided to go for it. 1st WP was in hands very quickly. Off to the 2nd WP. Took a while here but eventually the geogirlfriend found what we needed. Now off to GZ. Cache was in hand quickly and log was signed. Log was damp and a bit mouldy so this may need replacing. This one gets a favourite from me thanks Jimmymaff

02-Feb-19
I was robmc on this one so my log mirrors his. Ground to a halt at the second waypoint unfortunately.

02-Feb-19
We picked up the first bit of information on the deadly treadlies yesterday, but were a bit short of time for the next waypoint.
This afternoon we grabbed the geomobile and set off.
We found the first waypoint quickly and set off for the second.
This is when it all fell into a heap!
A reasonable spot to hide a micro here, but no waypoint could we find.
Annoying to do the drive for no cache.
Thank, Robmc.

Day 4 of our annual caching blitz holiday. Decided to duck out early and try to complete this one before moving on. CO gave slight hint for WP2 which had got us stumped yesterday. Sadly even with the hint we had no luck and have had to leave the area with no smiley. Oh well I'm sure it will be waiting for us next visit.

A multi such as this one interested us as we have family living in Bairnsdale and make fairly regular trips to the area. We completed the course over a number of visits - no record breaking ride!

Thanks 'Jimmymaff' for this multi placement.

Found with Mezza74. Had the final coordinates for this one for quite a while (over a year I later found out) and with a little time to kill in Sale I took the opportunity to finally attempt this cache. Initially the GPS had me at one location but soon the coordinates settled and I quickly had the cache in hand. Now for the bigger issue - where for tea?

Thanks Jimmymaff

27-Mar-18
Found with dgeo. Once the GPS settled down spotted the likely hide from a distance.

Thanks Jimmymaff

05-Feb-18
We had determined the coordinates based on the question some weeks ago and today we had a chance to investigate further. This led us on a longer drive than we had expected although we did guess were we might finish up! Thanks this piece of history and the challenge.

15-Jan-18
Yay!! After many km's doing this one, we finally signed the log book today. Great story, nice park and a pretty good multi.

Thanks for this placement and the WP's to go with it. Glad to get the smiley on this one.

What a great story and adventure. Thanks for taking me on this ride!

11-Sep-17
This one has been years in the making, what with gathering the initial coords so long ago I can hardly remember, then trying for the find when there were works going on that shut down the whole lead up to gz. So today was the day, I was here, I had time, I was ready. Aaaand I had no coords with me! So I wander the area, knowing I was in the right spot before phoning a friend for the coords and finding, upon entering them, that i was 10m away and the hiding spot was clearly in sight! D'oh!!!!! Glad to finally tick it off. Thanks for the journey and the cache!

In Sale collecting information for a different cache we decided that we had time to try our luck on this one as we really enjoyed the information on the cache page for this one when it was first published and had already had the first set of co-ords for quite awhile. We headed from point to point and admit we did have to phone a friend at one stage and were soon back on the hunt. The next step was to find the best was to gz. Once there the cache was located right where the GPSr was pointing and our name was happily added to the log.
Many thanks Jimmymaff, now after 4.5 hours in the area and two cache finds it's time to head home.

14-Aug-16
After getting the first set of coord, i was scratching my head thinking surely this can't be right. Then once i reread the description, it made perfect sense. At the first way point, i missed a heart beat due to a big huntsman. Found the container roughly were I expected it to be once I the gist of the cache. Great day for a drive too, TFTC

Amazing cache. Thanks for setting up this wonderful journey. And found out an awesome story about a local hero!

15-May-16
Such a clever designed cache! Found the first two and then waited for a beautiful day to finish this one off. TFTC

23-Apr-16
A fun trip. The mint tin at the first waypoint resembled a ball of cotton candy, it was that covered in spider webs. I got to GZ just as the sun was setting, so phone to the rescue with a little lighting. Took toy solider, left pink smiley magnet. TFTC

08-Apr-16
Started this one the other day and did the first 2 stages. Found GZ on a further visit back to sale

28-Dec-15
Kato Potato, bear-cacher and I started this cache months ago, then bear-cacher and I completed the remaining steps weeks ago but today was the first chance I've had to actually get back to the gz to put my name on the log. I had a little spare time after completing my work in Sale and was baby-and-toddler-free so off I drove, parked in the shade and set off. I actually jogged for a bit of it, just to see if I can after having the geo-baby, and yes, nothing fell apart. A quick spotting of a likely camo at gz and the cache was in hand - tftc Jimmymaff, a clever illustration of Parson's Playground with some challenging waypoints.

Wow. What a multi. The GeoFamily really enjoyed all aspects of this cache. Thanks. Silkyie

25-Sep-15
Finally found this one. This was done over a few months as first way point went missing and then we did it in stages after that. Great trip around, typical Jimmymaff style hides. Great cache to finish off Sale. Glad to finally put a smiley on this one. TFTC.

Checked the hide today. Made it a bit more obvious. Happy Hunting

Checked on a couple of WPs. One had gone walkabout t(where do they go?) so replaced that. The other is a lot easier to see now.

Finally I can put a smiley face to this one! After taking my time doing the waypoints and a couple of visits to GZ I finally managed to sign the logbook. On the plus side the GPS reading was spot on, the history and the tour made a very enjoyable cache to do. TNLN Thanks for replacing the cache Jimmymaff, another cache living up to your standard Smile

Placed a small container at GZ today. Area had a bit of disturbance recently and cache seemed to be mia.
Nice easy find now. Happy Hunting

Jimmymaff- were your ears burning tonight? You are the bain of my geocaching life! Love love love your caches, but always know I will have to come back if I leave it too late in the day to go on a jimmymaff hunt. Anyhoo. We were convinced we had it tonight and I sent grasshopper in for a closer look, but came up empty handed. The neighbours were getting a bit annoyed by the noise of their poor dogs. The dogs were trying to warn them that strangers were in the area, but they were being told to shush! So I told them good dogies! Will have to come back to this one at some stage. Life wouldn't be right if I didn't have a jimmymaff cache on the go...

09-Nov-14
I did all the waypoints over a period of time and got the coordinates for GZ but a couple of searches have drawn a blank Sad anyway thought I would log a DNF while I wait to see if any others can find it

I'm just not game enough to go into gz's long grass without my gaiters. Yet another for Winter or with protective equipment. Thx for the history lesson

Found on our "Making Memories" Tour of Mainland Australia.

Today we explored Sale and surrounding areas using geocaching as our guide.

This was an epic multi that took us on a bigger tour than anticipated. TFTC

28-Dec-13
I first started this cache a long time ago.
but i got stuck on on the second stage.

a little hint (some sign language) from another cacher.

At the 3'rd stage i found 2 set of cords, one in a tin & one on a tree.
I tried the wrong set first, in the end i found GZ

# 5490 Found after a much cooler morning trip around the area.
Another great multi done and was much more than I was expecting that's for sure.
I had a hitch at the final point, so had to contact the CO for assistance.
Thankfully he was extremely obliging and helped me out, so I could get back to GZ and
log it before we leave town. Some light rain held up the final hunt for a while, but it cleared.
Nice and quiet and no muggles around while I was here.
TN LN SL Thanks for the Cache and the friendly helpline Jimmymaff,

I should have realized that it wasn't going to be a quick Jimmymaff Multi; I should have read the logs before I started this Multi.

I was in Sale today and was about to head home when I thought to myself, "Self you've got 5 mins why not knock this one over!" shouldn't have listened. Off to WP1, easy, grabbed the required info and did the sums. Punched it into TOM TOM and thought that can’t be right so I redid the sums and came up with the same answer. So off I headed, thinking why you would want to ride an Indian down this road way back then. Arrived at WP2, Thought I knew where it was and of course I was wrong. So loaded the Co-ords into the GPSr and it took me straight to where it was hidden. (It's a good hide) Punched the info into TOM TOM and was not surprised as to where it was taking me. (A Jimmymaff Multi) Arrived near to WP3, trudged through the long grass as I made my way to WP3 it was a quick search and the info was found. It was dejavu as I read the information. I put the info into TOM TOM and headed off on the last leg to GZ. I stopped on the way to do greynomds cache (but that’s another adventure). I arrived near GZ and started on my way. As I approached GZ there was evidence of someone had made this home. I was a bit weary of entering as I was not sure if anyone was still around. After doing a bit of surveillance I realized the coast was clear. I moved in and started the search. The GPSr was not much good with all the greenery about so I took a punt (Where would I hide it) I looked in about a dozen places when I saw something, I took a closer look and it was the cache. (I was surprised the local inhabitants had not spotted it, but maybe they had other things to think about)

This 5 minute multi took me about 50 minutes all up

I signed the log and retrieved the TB "World Tour by Pedal" to move along as it's been here too long.
The TB "Bucyrus Buckle" was not in the cache

It was interesting to read and learn about an unknown identity and his exploits. I will pass this info onto some friends I know, who think would be interested.

Enjoyed the information on Harold and the trip around the block but couldn't find the cache.

Found by Mary & David at 1515. Loved it all. We enjoyed a great tour - so near yet so far! Missed it on the first pass, then had a proper look. We wondered what happened to the horse? Hope you have this story in mind when you're out on your bike. Dropped off "World Tour by pedal" geocoin. Our thanks again to Jimmymaff.

Late logging our visit...
This one took forever.. not just because of all the drive time! It was raining, my GPS battery died and we had to attach it to my laptop. Looked rather strange wandering around in the rain trying to juggle a laptop, gps and umbrella at all of these locations! And the darn thing wouldn't lock on a location so it had us going around in circles... within the circle Smile

Wow this is the longest but shortest cache I have found if you know what I mean???

Well you will once you do the cache.

It was a great opportunity to pick up a few more caches of yours Jimmymaff and also take a look at the Maffra car museum.

I was going to go for a walk with Geotot and Geobaby yesterday to do find this cache as we live fairly close to the first waypoint. Once I had the information from the first waypoint in hand, I worked out the co-ords for the second waypoint, punched them into my GPSr and realised that I wasn't going to be able to walk to the next waypoint, so turned around and went home.

Today I took the kids and Mr Roast_Chicken with me to find the other waypoints. We got to the second waypoint and took way longer than expected to find it. It was only as I was about to give up that I happened to spot what looked like a cache by chance. By this stage the kids and Mr Roast_Chicken were getting restless (every time I take Mr Roast_Chicken out with me to find caches, I struggle to find them, so I haven't been able to sell him on the idea that it's a fun activity yet), so we went back home to drop them off and I continued by myself. Of course, I happened to find the third waypoint in a couple of minutes, didn't I? With the GZ co-ords in hand, off I went (via 2 other caches) to find the cache. My GPSr was trying to get me lost (or at least I thought it was), but once I got myself sorted, I found the cache very easily. TFTC. Smile

By the way, the contact covering the paper with the co-ords at the third waypoint is not watertight and the ink has run a bit. It is still readable, but I thought it may need to be looked at before it gets worse.

Quite a bit of a drive but worth it.

13-Jan-11
The new GPS is a great improvement to the phone based one and put us right into the correct spot, second time lucky!

Lived in Sale for 35 years and did not know of this park or of Harold Parsons. So was a good history lesson. First 3 piece of puzzle were easy finds however the actual cache took some locating. GPS was bouncing and we found it hard to get a constant reading. Once found we had to fight the mosies.

16-Dec-10
Made it all the way around no problems, got to the final point and couldnt get a GPS reading any more accurate than 10 mtr radius, our exploits were starting to attract attention from the locals so time to leave, will try again soon!

31-Oct-10
This was our second attempt at this one. This time without any problems. The weather turned really foul and we got drenched.
However, the caching got done and then we went home for hot soup and crumpets. We were nearly 'sprung ' by the neighbour next to the cache who thought we looked lost. However after some smooth talking everything was OK. Thanks again jimmymaff for another great cache. Wink

24-Oct-10
Took a couple of tries to get this one completed. Children playing in the garden near WP3 made searching near impossible, and a muggle gardening took a deal of interest when we arrived at at the final WP.
In disgust we went away and came back later, when the cache was finally unearthed and signed. Proves that a lovely Sunday arvo is not the best time to cache.
Enjoyed the history and the trip Jim. TNLN TFTC

Nice drive around the block to do this multi. Approx 50mins from start to finish and we had this one in hand.

This certainly was a multi - over two days! We headed out after work Monday and ended up with the last coords for GZ but due to time had to head home. First thing the next day we were at GZ - took a bit of searching with no joy. A bit uncomfortable as we had parked in a residential area and may have attracted the look from a local NHW rep.... We decided to abort before being 'detained' and slipped away. An hour later, thinking the coast would be clear, we returned. This time when we parked (in a different spot to before) we got that de ja vu feeling and legged it to GZ. We covertly slipped past a muggle whilst she was hanging washing and we were at GZ. A quick search and we had the cache in hand! A FTF too, phew! TFTH Jimmymaff - if we'd been on a solo we could have done this one in one day! TNLN.
