20-Jun-11
I received a pile of trackables from a mate, just returned from the east, and unfortunately family commitments over the next few weeks will mean that my caching activities will be curtailed, so today I did a maintenance check on this cache and deposited a pile of trackables for my fellow cachers to distribute around the state and beyond.

We did seem to get up too early for the GPSr, it just wouldn't settle this morning - had plenty of sats this morning. We did find it though.
Nice walk in dawn's light.
Thanks, Robmc.

18-Jun-11
This walk promised us no less than 3 caches and now that it was just light a great
place to start the day's caching proper. A short walk in along the track and a small deviation to find this cache. Rob's GPS was having trouble waking up so it did a bit of a dance here as well as at the next cache.

Not an easy find with the iPhone, went back to the car and got old faithful Smile found it very quickly after that.

The closer we got to GZ the quicker i realised that we had parked a fair way away from it, so after a quick thought i left the missus to hunt him down while i brought the car around the otherside for a swift pickup. Cache found and log signed, TFTH

Found after having not much luck with other caches earlier on in the afternoon. A fairly easy find with Tomato 2, after a nice bike ride around the area. TFTC

22-Apr-11
OK, didn't find it again, so went back and checked the coords and logs - yep, it's been moved after the fire! Serves me right for waiting so long to grab it - Oh well, all part of the fun, innit!!?

20-Apr-11
Looked like a bushfire had been through, and GZ was at the base of a burned out bush with nothing to see, so I didn't search any more. Came home to see if it was still active, as I last came here in November when the bush was much...bushier. Last found only 10 days ago, so I'll just have to head back and have a closer look.

Found a secret path into the area & then the cache - grabbed one GC & left the last TB (the other TB listed - DCG Opener - is obviously missing & should be marked as such to avoid confusion). TFTC rudi63.

23-Jan-11
My last find for the day, a 3 sets of my batteries were almost dead, and the sun was setting. I didn't realise there was a new housing estate nearby where I could have parked, so I walked over from the sports complex, it was a nice walk.

I took the Cache To Eagle Geocoin, the Dal Ulmer FORT Geocoin and the BackBrakeBilly Geocoin, and left the Speeding Element Skull TB here. I didn't see the DCG Opener in the cache.

I loved the recent log entry from the WA Police Smile Nice to see them playing the game and leaving the cache 'uncompromised'.

Thanks for the cache rudi63!

Big Grin Wow what a good start to the day. We picked up Erik Gegnome nearby then headed to this cache. It appears there has been a fire here in recent times and the cache has been very lucky to have been in a safe location. We collected 4 of the trackables just in case and will move them North very soon. It would seem that 1 of the trackables is missing though as by our count there were only 5 in the bag when we left (we counted twice) TFTC SL

Took the long route bush bashing to the cache. Took The Travel Bug and left a turtle. Very well hidden. Appreciated the scenic walk - didn't know the park existed - Thanks Rudi. Will drop the travel bug off further across Australia later in the year when we start travelling. Steve-Pam

Dropped off a bag of 10 trackables, retrieved from the Baldivis Children's Forest event yesterday. Wileyclan picked them up on a caching excursion to Albany, and now it is time for them to continue there travels.

Coordinates changed from:
S 32° 23.682 E 115° 45.953

Coordinates changed to:
S 32° 23.661 E 115° 45.948

Distance from original: 130.2 feet or 39.7 meters.

Check the GZ after the log from fitzy1965. The cache was very exposed after the recent fire, contents were checked correct and the cache has been moved to a new location with better cover, about 40 metres from the orginal location.

3196 - In the West for work and time for a couple of caches...

Third of a nice run around Rockingham and region - this one is in an area that has been burnt out. The cache is very exposed now and surrounded by tape, and the last "finders" in the log were the WA Police !! The owner may wish to visit and re-hide the cache. Thanks rudi63 !

Left TB - TFTC !!

Cheers....

Enjoyed riding our bikes through the bush paths, untill it bucketed down with rain. With thunder and lightning chasing us back to shelter near the sporting complex we waited the rain out. Once it cleared we ventured back out and located the cache.

There were no pens and pencils to record the find, so we will head back there and leave another pen for future geocachers.

We didn't take anything but left a Dora neck band.

Cheers for the experience Rudie63 (even with the rain)

JCCJMA.

This was my third Did Not Look of the day.
I solved Petty Fortune last week while away at work, and as this is in the general area decided to do this too. Jumped on the bike today, as caching is a great excuse for a ride....and began a day of frustration.
I came to within 20m of GZ, but I was just a little underdressed - cycling nicks and SPF30 aren't much protection from our slithery friends, and as with Petty Fortune, GZ looked like it could be Snake Central. I'll be back, with stouter clothing!

Nice easy find for my daughter and I. Travel Bug has been removed. Took small jig saw puzzle. Left Glow in the dark pen pack.

Last of 21 caches found today. Cache found just after dusk but there was still a bit of light so didn't have much trouble finding the cache.

I didn't have my backpack with me so didn't have anything to swap.

Thanks for the cache. Now to face the music at home as I've taken too long doing these last few caches in the area.

Lots of bees at this cache, careful if you are allergic.

Took a tB.

And another cheer goes up! Second FTF in a row! Nice to revisit this area - this time with the car park chockas with lots of sporting events getting underway. Had a nice walk through the bush to the cache - a lovely big ammo box that has plenty of room for more stash, and a great supply of TBs. Sadly due to my inactivity over recent months I had none to add, but took a couple to move on.
Thanks for another hunt rudi63.

2nd to find.
We were spending the day caching in Rockingham and surrounds when we checked for any new caches at about 11am. As one was only 10kms away we thought we'd try for an FTF. One quick stop and then made a beeline to the cache only to find we had been beaten by urch by 1/2 an hour. Retrieved Taz GC and American Elephant TB. Dropped DCG opener TB and Woodsy5's World Traveller GC. Thanks for the hunt and the cache.
