Heading to Kaniva for a weekend of caching with a few Melbourne caching friends and along the way I headed up for this cemetery cache. No issues at all with the find and my name was soon in the logbook. Thanks nam234...always an interesting place to visit.
13:51Heading eastward after a week or so in SA, this is one of the caches, the GPS automatically set on a course via as many cache stops as possible. We really enjoy finding caches in cemeteries - they come with interesting history. To pause in a cemetery always gives us caring thoughts. Our thanks to 'nom234' for adding this cache to the.geo-gameboard.37891*This log composed and published using Geocaching Swiss Army Knife (GSAK).*
Very discreetly done.Another family connection! Its great that the local keeps the information in check!TFTC
What a nice, quiet spot for a final rest. Cache is in great condition, thanks for the hide.
A nice and peaceful spot here on the back roads, cache is all goodThis week I decided to head to Victoria for a few days to target finishing off the Ballarat Geotour and also find the new series in St Arnaud, anything else was a bonus. I ended up finding a little over 300 caches plus a tonne of ad labs along the way. Thanks for the cache
On way to Adelaide for square dance weekend and had to detour to find this one

Actually the owner didnt back-date the log. She just forgot to post the maintenance log at the time as she was very sick and on her way back from the hospital. Easy to jump to conclusions isnt it.
**Enabling cache.**
It would seem the 'Owner Maintenance' log dated 20/Jul/2022 was actually posted some 12 or so hours after the cache was disable by Reviewer on 07/Aug/2022 and back dated.

Hi there nom234,
It looks like this cache might need some attention, as one or more seekers have indicated there is an issue. The cache has been temporarily disabled, so as to remove it from search listings and discourage people from visiting this location until the issues/s with this cache can be addressed.
**You do need to respond in some way within 14 days, so others know you are on top of it, as well as indicating exactly what is happening with this placement - please don't let a lack of communication scuttle this listing.**
#What should you do now:-#
You have a number of choices so pick the one that applies from this handy list:-
- **Check On The Cache:-** Visit the cache and repair and/or replace or do whatever else is needed, post an [**Owner Maintenance log**](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404) indicating the cache has been checked and [**ENABLE your cache**](https://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235 ). Then sit back and wait for the logs of praise to roll in.
- **Place A Write Note Log::-** Reviewers don't have a crystal ball, so without your note on the cache page explaining that the site works are on-going, or you have been in hospital, or the area is in flood, they can't tell what is going on with the cache.
So please just post a note to the page (within 14 days) and when a Reviewer next looks at the listing, all will be fine for a little bit longer.
**Be sure to indicate the actual date that you expect to have it fixed so that everyone knows you are on top of it. If you have a long term unavailable cache (where you don't have an actual date) please ensure you visit the page and post a note every 4 to 6 weeks, so as to keep everyone up to speed.**
- **Adopt/Archive:-** If you don't plan on fixing it then you could consider passing it on to another geocacher by asking them to [**Adopt it**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=54) or alternatively, you need to [**Archive it**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=56), so it is removed from searches and someone else can have the spot. Don't forget to remove any remnants of your previously enjoyed cache too.
You might wonder what happens if you don't pick one of those. Well, if nothing happens, then a few weeks from today, when a Reviewer next looks at the cache page, it is likely that they will, unfortunately, have to de-list (Archive) on the basis that it has been abandoned.
Honestly, I'd rather you decide so please do something before then. Please don't send me an email but instead follow the information/advice posted above.
**JUST A TIP:-** Have you checked out the new Geocaching Dash Board designed to assist a Cache Owner in managing the caches they own? Have a read about it [**HERE.**](https://www.geocaching.com/blog/2020/07/welcome-to-the-cache-owner-dashboard/?newsletter=PM) You will find your very own dash board [**HERE**](https://www.geocaching.com/play/owner?utm_source=geocaching&utm_medium=blog&utm_campaign=COD).

Incorrectly reported as water penetrating the container. Container was in perfect condition but someone had placed bubble-mix containers as swaps and they were leaking into the cache. Inappropriate swaps thrown out and all other swaps replaced with new ones. Log was in perfect condition in its separate bag.
A little water has penetrated the container and everything inside is wet, with the exception of the diary which is safely in a ziplock bag.
Love a visit to some of the pioneer cemeteries. Thanks for bringing us here. We couldn't believe how many head stones carried the same surnames. Clearly big families around here.
Cache found without difficulty, thanks for the placement.

Travelling from Kaniva through to Rainbow visiting the silos. Saw this cache and had to stop. I enjoy a quiet wander around an old cemetery.
Thank you for letting me know it was there.

Found with tassie expat while driving through this great area. See what you mean about the gate, suck it in. A strange little graveyard in the middle of nowhere. I wouldn't have known about it had you not placed a cache here. Thanks.
A quick find with frmen1 as we made our way to Jeparit. We enjoy cemeteries and the adornments they often have. TFTC
Very interesting cemetery. So much history. Found the cache and signed log before rain started. TFTC.
A strange thing to be chasing, but I am currently chasing 2/2 D/T's. Very pleased to find one out here. Love visiting cemeteries also so a double smile here. One for caching and one for me. Thanks for the cache.
It is great to see the cemetery so well cared for. We seem to spend a lot of time in cemeteries both through caching and GT also does family history.
We have actually found relatives that we couldn't trace, in cemeteries that we have visited for caching.
Thank you for bringing us to another and for placing the cache.

A nice easy park and grab and a chance to stretch the legs off of the highway. Lid has no clips left on it so could use a replacement container. But contents are all still in good order.

Day 11 of our epic trek to the St Arnaud Mega via Geelong and return via wherever the caches are.
The constant was my travel companion for the entire trip, - AnyMules but we were joined by other cachers in our travels.
With the Mega event finished we continued caching around Bendigo where we were based for a few days. The GPS died and was trying to learn this app as we cached.
After a night at Horsham we are headed back over the border to be home by tonight.
A slight detour to grab a smiley. A quick find using the hint. Lots of interesting old graves here.
Thanks for putting out this cache for our enjoyment.

I have been wanting to grab this one for the last coupld of years as I drive back and forth to Victoria, but I never seem to have time to make the de-tour.....well today was the day!
Our group found this cache after we left my breakfast event in Donald.
Please note: generally we stamped the log as "Fabulous Randoms", however some logs we have written our caching names.
What a great 'long' weekend travelling to St Arnaud from Adelaide for the wonderful annual festivities. I cached with many awesome cachers including Feathertop, micaparamedic, Locus Cache, Muzza, Sharkie Fan, BushFire and of course TheDame. I also socialised with many others.....gosh I love Victoria!
Thanks so much for the cache nom234! [^]

09/10/2018 - 12.34pm - Find No. 977 - 2nd of 8 finds for the day - out & about on a damp day with Nom234. Plans were made the night before to do some 'hunting' after the start of dampness & with the promise of more to follow to make it cooler, we both prefer cooler hunting. Much perusal of maps was done to allow for roads usable after a bit of rain, not those unsealed roads that are like driving on ice after a touch of rain! All went well & no slippy roads were used in our hunt! Oh, that's right ... our very last find for the day had us travel cautiously a tiny way along a suspect road, but no slipping was allowed or happened! It was done verrrry carefully.
My driver is so helpful at her caches ... I navigate, she drives & lets me count down distance to where we need to be but parks away a fair bit so I have to do the finding part without assistance & I also get the job of checking for creatures that might have taken up residence, then she wanders across to see what swag might be left in the container & if it needs to be topped up. I suppose that's a division of labour. The weather had turned a bit drippier than it had been but didn't deter us so out I hopped into the dampness to do a bit of final location finding. Cache found safe, well & dry in it's hide although I was very cautious about retrieval as the words 'big spider' had been bandied about just beforehand, I also remember the time I was incautious & disturbed a bullant nest when I found the cache!!!! Don't want that to happen ever again, ouchy, ouch that was! Signed, photographed & returned as found. Not a muggle anywhere to be seen. We did a bit of ancestor marker checking while we were her too as I hadn't been to this location before. Thanks for the cache Nom

Thanks for the interesting location, we enjoyed reading about some of the history
Found on a three day caching wander with AussieM&M!!!! We centred our searches in the Ararat area but ventured further afield when some of our planned caches were either disabled or on very slushy dirt roads. Very cold and plenty of rain ….. although we seemed to dodge the worse of it!!! This was our first find for the trip!!! Thanks nom234!!
Our first find on a caching trip with CPwanderer. We are heading to Ararat but grabbed this along the way. I do love cemetery caches and wish I had the time to walk around here today. Maybe next time, TFTC.
Was able to reach from outside of cemetery. I love these forgotten little cemeteries with lovely old graves.
What an adventure! Owl was in Kaniva with Hawk for a band weekend, staying with the Muffs. This meant what caching that could be fitted in between engagements. Having dropped Hawk in Broughton for a practice, Owl decided to try for the nearest cache. That was serious 4WD territory, so the next nearest was targeted. How far could it be? Not that far in a straight line, but the roads didn't go in a straight line! Fortunately. the owlmobile behaved admirably on the dirt roads and the cache was found in record time. They made it back late, but still in time for an excellent dinner and concert. Phew!
It gets dry around here - I suspect that annual rainfall is not too high. Cache found easily thanks.
Heading towards The Big Desert chasing a FTF, we picked up a few caches along the way, as you do! The hide was soon spotted and we added our name to the log.
Thanks nom234 for the placement.

This weekend had been earmarked for some adventurous exploits in the Big Desert National Park with Jacko83, aiming to find a few relatively remote caches. Along the way we explored some of the smaller country towns, discovered interesting locations... and found a few caches !
After a hearty Friday night pub meal in Nhill, we were out caching again in wet and muddy conditions when we got to GZ here (we ended up caching till 1am).
Too dark to see the cemetery, but not too dark to find the cache.
Thanks, nom234.

This cache was found during a weekend adventure of caching, exploring and 4WD'ving with my two boys. We spent much of the weekend in and around the Little Desert National Park where we had an absolute ball. Today we teamed up with Jacko83 and Timmo98, meeting them just out of Dimboola before heading into the desert where our main goal for the day was to do the 'This is SA' series of puzzle caches. The weather was perfect and was nice and warm all day, with hardly a cloud in the sky. By late afternoon we had visited Broughton's Waterhole and from there Jacko83 and Timmo98 headed back east while my boys and I made our way to Kiata Campground where we were to spend the night.
A nice peaceful location here. That's pretty cool tracing your relatives back to where they are resting at the cemetery here. Cache found and log signed. Thanks nom234.

I was off on my biggest, single day, road trip. I left home at just after 7am and didn't get home until just after 11pm. I ended up with just over 670ks travelled, 29 smilies one being and event, and 3 Trig point discoveries, this included even heading interstate for 3 grabs.
There was many sights to see and even the odd fence jump for caches or photos. I think I managed to see every colour of mud that Western Victoria has on offer and I have a nice collection of it now in my drive way. I even had my pushbike on board and ended up peddling 5ks for 6 finds.
After the event in Kaniva I was now heading home, but not before a couple of Grabs that are sitting out on their own on my map.
A What seemed a long detour in the dark night. I soon came up on GZ and a quick grab made as I could reach it form the road side. WOW a cemetery and it was dark, well a quick signing and I was off, before needing the ghost busters.

Found on a kid free weekend (yay grandparents) tour of western Victoria. A nice easy find after we did a little wander of this out of the way cemetery. Geocaching has lead us to many remote cemeteries and this one is in really good condition and with what graves are missing headstones they at least have a metal stake to represent their plot. Glad to find this hide and add our name to it. TFTC Nom234. First of many of your hides we found today.

Thanks for bringing us out to this quaint cemetery. We didn't explore as the rain was coming down, but we did sit in the car and watch the lightning. Thanks for the hide.
