OCW PelDroedGwin Towing the caravan with geocat Levin and geodog Peppa in the car. Keen to find this one, its an oldie and ticks off an LGA for me. A quick find then back the car (I didnt cross the fence for the nearby cache).Tftc
After seeing this one pop up on my screen and the one next to it, it became clear i needed to go for a walk in search of the containers. Kiwinic decided the walk in the scrub was a bit beyond her normal so she kept an eye on the car while i trudged off through the scrub to an easy first find. Then there was the next one to get. TFTC
On our Australian trip . After started for some days in Darwin we are on the road to Perth now .On the Road after Katherine, Edith Falls, Kunnurra, Bungles Bungle, Emma Falls, El Questro, Mitchel Falls, Manning Gorge, Galvans Gorge, Bell Gorge, Tunnel Creek and Windjana Gorge .Now again on the sealed road again. From Derby, Broome on direction to Port Hedland .Fortunately not buried but sticky gras. Eventually found with not so bad coords .TFTC# 17'173
Found this cache whilst on our two month adventure throughout central Australia and remote parts of WA.Heading to Broome, we stopped to find this 2001 cache, then walked into the confluence. Thanks to all the COs for adding to our adventure. TFTC
It was great to stop for this nice old cache. Very remote but accessible, found okay here today, tucked away but spotted quickly. Now through the fence and across to the confluence.
Found it on the way to the one further in. Borrowed the pen for a bit as I forgot to take one. All back as found. TFTC
Found with e.gregory1 on a trip from Adelaide to north-western WA via Kalgoorlie, Wiluna and Marble Bar. After camping out at Shay Gap we headed to the coast and up to our northern-most target cache before returning south towards Port Hedland, finding caches along the way. Very nice to find on of the very early caches. Thanks for the cache sungroper!
Found on a trip to Western Australia from Adelaide with FeatherWaite. We camped at Shay Gap then continued to make our way north, finding a few caches of interest along the way.The cache was quickly found in good order. However, as we often find in many of these old or more remote caches, though, there a a few online loggers whose names never made it into the logbook. We can usually work out who they are likely to be before we get there! It was good to find this old one. Thanks sungroper for the cache.
Found on my way to Broome today. Slight detour down the firebreak track ?? TFTC ??
After wandering aimlessly for a few minutes, the previous log suggesting road side of the ridge put me on the money. Great to pick up this oldie. Tftc
Travelling north to Darwin with richlink and then back south again to SA, finding geocaches along our route.
Tiptoe through the spinifex to find this cache. Thanks, sungroper2, cache in good condition.

Key music: "Out on the plains the brolgas are dancing..." On the way from Sandfire to here I witnessed this.
Good coordinates. I dropped off the TB 'Eat Sleep Cache Tag'. TFTC sungroper.

On my way to Perth via Broome with a few detours for LGAs. TFTC.
Very much in the middle of nowhere. Lots of leg scratches and flies.

Found today on trip south from Broome. Managed to follow previous foot prints into the cache which made it easier. After all, who else would walk here? TFTC
Stopped beside the highway today with ilook4geo and walked across to find this cache. It is always good to find an old one that is still active. No problem in locating it and the log was signed with two more names. The trackable was retrieved as it has been here for quite a while. Thank you to sungroper for placing this cache.
Walked over to find this one with goingplaces2. Easily found, log signed and all replaced. An old one but still going. TFTC.

Today was basically from just south of Derby then across to Broome before ending up at South Hedland.
This cache found without problems although not sure about crossing the fence to get to it. Log signed and the cache returned as it was found.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for cachers to find.

My goal is to find a cache in every shire in Australia, and I'm very fortunate that this one is just over the border in the Shire of East Pilbara, the largest shire in the country. As I hitchhiked from Broome today, I was picked up by a guy who was intrigued as soon as I told him about caching. In the dark, we made a brief stop so we could find this one. Another shire checked off. The shire of Karratha is next on my list. TFTC
Another trip back home and another caching adventure, happy to say we came up trumps here and walked away with a smiley TFTC
Had an RDO today, so decided to hire a car and venture north from Hedland to see what I could find.
This cache was one of the main reasons for this epic trip today, and after a short walk in from the highway i stumbled across the cache in quite a random spot . There may have been a tree here years ago .. who knows. There is certainly no sign of one now!
TFTC sungroper .. another of WA’s oldest 100 caches ticked off [^]

Thanks sungroper for bringing me to this location and taking the time to hide and maintain this cache. I found the cache at 09:41:00. This was my Find 18 for today out of a Total number of 50 Finds and 4 DNF for for this Caching Outing. The cache was found in Good Condition and I signed the log and returned the cache as I found it.
This find brings my total number of Finds to 5372.
We are spending a few weeks travelling to some of Western Australia's warmer regions and grabbing a couple of the LGAs that I need.
This was a good day. Another goal achieved today with a find in the East Pillbara LGA. After this one I also went on to grab the other one near here.
This was find number 2 for the day.

We made a stop by here and trekked through the bush a little way where the container was spotted with the guardian on top under cover. Log signed and replaced as found. Thanks sungroper for the cache.
Two epic caches in the middle of nowhere!!!
I had to find this one as it forms part of WA’s oldest 100 caches.

Hubby was suitably dressed for the terrain this trip and had no problem locating the container.
A short walk through the stinging grass to the box.
A quick find on the way to Broome.

Great to collect a piece of geocaching Western Australia history here.
Had three weeks holiday so decided on a massive road trip to the most northern part of the state - the Kimberley. An area we have never explored, but had always been on the to do list. We travelled through the towns of Mount Magnet, Newman, Port Hedland, Broome, Halls Creek, Kununurra, back to Broome, Karratha, Exmouth, Denham, Geraldton and back home to Perth. It certainly was a very quick trip for the distance covered, over 8,000 kilometres in total, we saw a lot in such a short space of time, but barely scratched the surface of what’s out in these parts.
We would like to thank the individual COs for hiding the caches throughout these parts, from the towns to the highways and byways. Thank you for choosing to share these locations with us and we appreciate the effort you have gone to. Thanks for the fun.

Today our tour - which began in Perth, WA , and led us thru Western, Northern and Southern Australia back to Perth, was simply driving from Port Hedland to Broome.
On the way we came to some interesting locations. Here we searched, found and logged this Tradi-Cache.
Weather was good in the morning and it should even get better during the day.
Thanks to 'sungroper' for showing us this location, for the fun we had with 'Sungroper 2' and the smiley. The search here and today didn't take too much time, fortunately.
Greetings from Germany and we hope to see you soon in the forest, prairie, desert or outback .

Found it. Nice quick find. Have retrieved TB and will move it further along its journey
Didn’t think I’d get this one as wasn’t in the mood to bush bash but it wasn’t too bad with just spinafex so donned the boots to protect my legs and did a quick walk to gz.
A nice easy find where and how it was meant to be
TFTC, happy to have a smiley for this one instead of seeing a green icon each time we’ve passed

This year i spend my holidays together with my family in Australia. We explore your beautiful country by car (Cairns to Perth) and we had a wonderful time. And because of your geocache we saw an impressive landscape, enjoy a short walk or just had a short rest. So many thanks to you for showing me your country. We love it

This cache was found today and brings our overall cache find tally to 9855. We found this as part of our 2018 Round Australia trip.
I got a bit nervous when I read the previous log on this one as this has been on my watch list as a must find for some time. I came prepared that I was going to uncover this one but I placed my GPS down and then took a look around and something caught my eye sure enough it was the cache, about 2-3 m away from where the grader left his pile. Little happy dance for me!
Thanks sungroper for the cache.

Found at 2:22:00 PM while travelling to Port Hedland. Great to find caravan accessible caches along the way.
Thanks sungroper.
Thanks sungroper.
Cursed a lot on my first attempt! Came back (on my return journey) to get the nearby "Con" cache... Walked back from there, directly onto this cache. The sticks are gone, I tried to replace one, make the spot a bit more visible.
We did a few of Sungroper's Solar Challenge caches on the Stuart highway back in 2003 when our friend vombatus was trying to explain Geocaching to us on our way back from Darwin. Since then you may say we have become addicted nearly 20,000 finds later so going across here there was no way we were going to miss another early one like this and a little trip down memory lane for the first ones we found.
The spinifex was quite friendly on the walk to gz but once there the GPSr pointed directly to the hide and we happily added our name to the log.
Many thanks sungroper, we are happy to see some of these real early caches still active.

Hope it will last long.

Day 31 on my trip from Perth to the Red Centre Experience in Alice Springs with m4yb and Max the GeoUte pulling Jonathan Swift the Jaycp camper trailer.
What an adventure it has been and great to get some caches along the route.
Now on our homeward journey via some great places and hopefully some great caches, this one has to raise the question of "why"? But it is a great come back point for the con one.

On the return leg from the Alice Springs red Centre Experience, and today megawat60 and I are on a mission!
We left our overnight camp at Eighty Mile Beach, dressed unseasonably in long pants and shoes. Parked Max the GeoUte and Jonathan the camper, and ventured into the spinifex.
This was the first find, an easy one, and I donated a new ziplock back to this golden oldie cache.
Thanks for bringing us here to this historical cache!

Found on our amazing Australian holiday. Lovely coordinates! We puzzled about them not being twice 00.000, but realized why when we saw the fence. TFTC and greetings from Switzerland .
