In town and while here quickly solved the QR bit and wandered off to GZ.
There we found a sort of bush but all of 6in high so not really a bush, we searched and nothing found. We then found the object referenced in the hint but nothing bush like surrounds that. Very aware we were overlooked and didn't want to look too suspicious for too long.
It would appear the area has changed and possibly the cache has gone

Finally made it out here to grab the challenge caches. In the area with Minion 1 to visit Minion 2. Took a tour around the backroads to grab some others and we came across the Shetland pony club taking them out in pony drawn carts. A lovely day to be driving and caching.
Like the others found the GZ had a hunt and found a mint tin with rotten paper but not sure if right - put chicken scratching on corner.

Nice riddle. The coors of the final were 25m off. At GZ, no bush was visible, so please accept my kind of photolog.

Solved this a week or two ago in anticipation of a road trip to Dunedin. On the drive back north was getting very drowsy so pulled into Timaru for a wake up cache. Absolutely no-one around so was able to quickly search all the likely candidates. TFTC.
Day 1 of our 6-Day End of the Year caching trip to Dunedin. After check-in we went out to see how many we could get before it got too dark. We had DNFed this on a previous trip 3yrs ago so wanted another go at it. Glad to say this DNF was quickly ex-sponged tonight. The garden has been cleared of all trees and now only small bushes remain - that probably made it a whole lot easier Thanks for placing the cache and adding to our smilies today. Happy Caching
Nice wee mystery my first one. Got me a gps for Christmas so what a way to work off Christmas lunch. Thanks for the find
Day 7 [final day] of our geocaching holiday down south for the Oamaru Geofest 2017. Heading north now, back home to the Bay of Plenty.
Solved in preparation for my geofest trip. Was in the first place I looked however it was another couple of looks before I actually got a hand on it. TFTC The-Organist

A quick find reasonably early in the morning. It was a quick solve last night.
Last cache of the night walking back into town was late so no one around. Tftc
Found a mystery. Don't normally do them but stuck in Timaru because motorhome broke down. Tftc
There were a few guys working in the yard... pretty sure I knew where it was... so... next time!
out with Red Roaming as we start to explore NZ, and I am loving this country, so far. We are in Timaru today and catching up with a puzzle I'd solved in the UK prior to our visit. But we'd left the clue back in the car so resolved it on the spot to get the hint, then I quickly found it. MTFTC and the puzzle. we are trying to do a puzzle a day for 10 days to complete a challenge cache in the North island which needs a puzzle cache on 10 consecutive days!
Cache soon found by DD having solved it again at gz to remind us of the hint. Many thanks
Travelling around the world with Dartmoor Deliverer to help her celebrate taking early retirement!
NB Dont forget our Devon UK Mega 2017 this August in the beautiful East Devon area of our county. UK Megas are over one week full of events and geocaching - a wonderful way to enjoy our county!

Solved this puzzle at home and. We found the cache. Thanks for the puzzles and the caches.. Greetings from Switzerland.
Was in the South Island on some R&R with Mrs Yeetrees on our 4th day now staying in Waimate to do some house keeping and chores, and of course pick up a few caches.
Decided that I would get up early before going to Timaru to pick up some supplies that I needed before heading back when I was required to do some cleaning and go out and pick up a few caches, this was the last cache that I had on my list that I wanted to do today.
After doing some shopping for supplies at the local Mega, which wasnt too far from GZ I was about to go and get some fuel for the car so checked my GPS and noted that there was a puzzle cache that was not too far away from where I was that I had solved quite a while ago.
As it was still quite early in the morning I thought that this was going to be my best opportunity at finding this cache without be muggled, I hope and the weather was not the best as it was sort of drizzling.
Arriving near GZ, I noted that there was a car park across the road so I went further up the road and turned around and parked across the road from GZ and waited for a muggle vehicle to leave GZ before I got out of the car. After a short walk to GZ the weather wasnt the best but it was okay as it was keeping the muggles abbey.
Arriving at GZ I decided to read the hint and after a quick think, I was able to track down the cache in the first spot that I looked, signed and replaced as found. Thanks for placing this puzzle cache here and for bringing me to this spot, glad to be able to get another solved puzzle off my list, TFTC TNLNSL (11857). Now time to get some fuel and head back to Waimate for some work.
Day # 6 in New Zealand on a geocaching holiday-trip covering Thailand, Australia and finally my beloved NZ .
I had so much looked forward to return to this beautiful country, and now I'm here again - awesome!
Today's tour took me from beautiful Cromwell via Omarama, Otematata am Kurow to beautiful Timaru.
I passed along some great lakes [^] that showed stunning views , inviting for a photo-stop or for a little rest . And - best of all! - the sun was shining all day today [^].
Along the road there were quite a few treasures waiting to be discovered
Cool QR-mystery . At GZ it took me a while to spot this nicely hidden, cute box !
But finally my eyes got positive contact and this resulted in the cool find . Gotcha!
Hey - Otago and Canterbury - you have awesome caches [^] [:X]!
A big thanks to all Owners involved [:X] [:X] for hiding and maintaining. [^]
Cheers from Germany

I have been planning this trip for a while now as I had some airpoints due to expire and wanted to go somewhere for Wellington Anniversary Weekend. So I've made it a 4 day weekend and come down from Palmerston North for a caching road trip. I have two goals for this weekend, to get two 2500 caches before 23 January as that is when I took up caching last year and to get caches on as many minutes as possible that will hopefully qualify me for a challenge cache in the Manawatu. Day 1 is Christchurch to Oamaru.
Solved this puzzle a number of months ago in anticipation of this trip. The coast was cleared at the final location when I arrived but the gps was bouncing me around a bit so it took several minutes for me to locate the cache. Just as I was signing it, the local inhabitants arrived back at work and were giving me funny looks, so I quickly rehid cache and scampered. Tftc

My mission is my first 3 day tramp on Stewart Island. The Seagnoid has Xmas off so we are off on an epic adventure with Zara around the South Island. The Seagnoid is navigator and scribe, Zara and I have teamed up and Im cache logger. Day 6 - Wednesday - Ashburton to Tekapo today.
Thanks to the Seagnoid for his puzzle solving capabilities. Quick grab and tag here. TFTC Cheers

TaybeeDragon and I are off for a three day walk on Stewart Island. But we have a camper, so once you add in getting there and back, it's a three week trip. Day 6: Ashburton to Tekapo.
I thought I was really clever when I made a puzzle cache called QR. Practically identical to this one. Of course, 6 months later, I realised QR codes have been around for a while, so my idea was probably not that original. I placed my cache in 2012 - yours is a whole two years earlier! I was young and naive in those days.
Dropped in an emerald.

I have been looking at this cache for a long time and today was the day (again) to see about grabbing it. at GZ there had been a bit of gardening and with no cars on the road... a quick retrieve was had. Cheers for this cache.
Stealth is certainly the word here but after a quick search the deed was done and the log signed found with team_macdonald TFTC
Had tried this one about a year ago but it was hailing and didn't spend much time trying to find it. Abit of time to spare today and some stealthy moves by Rayzr2 and had it in hand. So good to finally get this one off the to do list. Tftc found with Rayzr2
Quick find. A little interest from a member of staff walking across the yard but he had better things to do so fortunately didn't come and ask what I was doing. Good to get another for my consecutive daily total. Tftc!
Went back a second time for a really good look and this time found it pretty quickly.
Found with TwoSharpe on our way home to CHCH. We almost gave up but widened the search and finally found the cache. Thanks for the fun.
Easy solve but man o lord, took a thorough search to find. It is there though! Tftc
this one has been bugging me for a while I have made several half hearted attempts to find it but due to its location always felt like I was being watched so had no luck previously , but being the school holidays it was the perfect time to have another go . stealth was the order of the day as the to young boys headed in for a look and it wasn't long before we had the cache in hand . getting this from a wheelchair would be very tricky so its more of a T1.5 glad to finally tick this of cache in good order tftc
Found with Chosen1978, Mrs Hazzer and Kiwigeoswami as team PEGS on our way to CHCH Mega. Required cache to complete a puzzle challenge. got a few strange looks from muggles as we searched for container.
This Cache was found on our Christchurch Mega Road Trip from the Deep South. Granville86a and I had this puzzle cache on our radar to complete a Puzzle Challenge. After a quick hunt and a grin from a passing muggle the cache was in hand and find was logged. A fabulous time was had exploring and discovering caches. All in all, a fun road trip with Granville86a, Mrs Hazzer and KiwiGeoswami, we signed the log as a Team under the name P.E.G.S to save both time and logsheet spaces. Thank you for the cache!
Took a few minutes to find as think there's been growth since the hint was written. Not off to find lunch! Tftc
worked out code a while ago. On a homeward trip dad a go at it. I think the main tree the larger one is gone. Found sytema container amoung smallish bushes on ground. Saw that it had not been logged for a while. TFTC
We stopped to find one of only a few puzzles I managed to solve before we left home and couldnt find anything obvious. Hunger won out and we went in search of food instead.
We strongly assume, this one has been muggled. Found the tube, yet it is empty. No found for almost 3 months seems to be a further proof. We'd appreciate, could you check, dear owner. Thank you!
Ok, so this one was a bit tricky for us. We started off just doing it from the co-ords given as we hadn't downloaded the cache description. Then realised there was nowhere to hide it at the given coords, although the security camera footage above the door should be interesting for the boys in blue. Back to the car to get some 3G, download a QR reader and then we were in business. The cache was a quick find, disturbed a local feline who was sleeping in the bushes. TFTC
We are staying at Rakaia Gorge this week, and we decided to spend a day travelling south so we could complete 2 Auckland challenge caches. For the 'So Far Away Challenge' we needed to find 10 caches that are 1000km or more from home. And for our Full Geocaching Licence we needed to find 50 caches in a day that are at least 1km apart. We have also been wanting to visit Moeraki Boulders (which also happens to be 1001 kms from home), so we had to time our trip around the tides. The 8.30am low tide meant we had to leave very early to travel 220kms from Rakaia Gorge to Moeraki , then find at least 10 caches further south before caching our way back north.
We had a very enjoyable day exploring further south than we have travelled before, clocking up close to 500kms, finding 69 caches along the way, and achieving both the challenge cache goals we had set.
We made a quick solve of the puzzle and a quick find of the cache.
Thanks for your part in helping make our day so much fun.

Great to cross this one off!! I'd had it on the list since it was brand new, and I used a camera, transferred it to the laptop and then found a solver. (Of course it is so easy nowadays) Took ages so we were determined to find it today. A quick find and a pleasant one. Thank you.
A quick solve while we had dinner on the way back home. And then a post-dinner stroll to GZ. Thanks.
Had a weekend in Timaru, so did a bit of caching in around the town. Found on the way home after dinner. Was all quiet at GZ so decided to look, after a few dnfs. Today was all good, and I do not need to stop there again. Thanks for the hide.
At last I've got around to getting a phone and to doing this.. quick find thanks!
I had solved this one a couple of years ago so headed for it on a walk this evening while staying in Timaru. A quick find in the first place I put my hand - signed log, TFTC
A little help from The-Organist on this one after my original QR reader was only revealing part of the message and I was unaware this was the case.
Make sure you have a good QR reader on your PDA for this one.

Headed out with Sharkiefan for an epic 2 days of super crazy caching in Oamaru! Needed to get a caching fix since within Chch I'm only going for one a day to be able to continue my streak as long as possible! We found a total of 78 caches! Hehe
Solved by sharkiefan prior to us coming here, we stopped by for the find today as we were passing through. Had to get it since we had solved it!! Find was nice and easy, and location was deserted... - as I can imagine it gets pretty busy and intense at times!! Hopefully not too often though! haha.
Then back into the car and onwards!

Heading south to Dunedin and stopped in here on the way. This was the only one I got while in town today.
#4260. Not time for much caching in Timaru, so delved in to the unsolved puzzle cache file, and found this one. Quick find. TFTC.
Just time for one Timaru cache as we were driving north from the Mega, and this was it. Quiet at GZ, so was a quick in and out.
Thanks for the puzzle and the cache.

478 and 6/55 for the day
After visiting the nearby Heavy Metal with the GeoJuMP team, we then headed here and as some had solved and found already, we were dropped off while they found a park. A quiet seat and the deed was done. While I was sitting there I saw a car with Aussie flags drive past. Back in the car we were musing whether they were caching when we see a couple walking our way looking down at their hands.... in that typical geocaching single-minded stride... Yep, our Aussies were cachers and we knew exactly where they were heading. It turned out that we played tag with them for the next hour after meeting them further down the road at a later find.

Found on the trip to the NZ mega with Sam walkers. Had worked out this one back at home and wanted to get as many puzzles as I could on the trip. Had even done a google street view so knew where to look straight away TFTC
Mr Roo had given me a list of puzzles to work on prior to the mega, this was one of them.
Mr Roo had jumped from the car and made the find before the SamWalkers duo could say "Where are we having dinner".

Have tried for this a couple of times but always during the week and too muggly. A Sunday morning is a good time to do this cache
Another to add to the solved pile, ready for our trip to the Mega in October Thanks
