This cache has had a long life, but unfortunately the container is past its use by date, and as I am consolidating my hides closer to me, I will be archiving it, thanks to all who came this way to find it in the past. RS.
found it! coordinates were a little off and the container is destroyed so we only found the waterlogged zip lock bag with the lid tftc!
A quick stop on the way home from Deaf Senior Club. Nobody around so this was a quick find. Couldn't sign log as too wet Thanks .
Hello I just got this cache about 20 minutes ago and the whole container was soaking and the log book was destroyed!
Nice find took us about 15 minutes whole container including log soaked sadly couldn't write on it TFTC
#601. Happy International Geocaching Day! Luckily this was a nice quick find for me. Container not in the best condition though. TFTC!
Took me about 30 minutes and many thoughts of, 'there are so many big gums though' turns out I was literally right on top of it.
Found while caching around the area, visiting from Maitland. TFTC

Finally it was DNF revenge but we almost had to do DNF again. We searched and searched, not seeing anything in what we thought were obvious places. Finally I saw something low and uncovered the hidden box under its camo that blended in well. The log was damp and the lid is cracking, so it might need some TLC soon. TFTC

Great hide. Also a great park which we have never been to before. Another example of why geocaching is so good . TFTC
Wow that has to be the easiest find ever. I went directly to it.
Must be excellent Coords.
The log is soaking wet as the container was not sealed correctly.
I’ll sit it the sun with it for 20 minutes as there is a cool breeze and it’s perfect for drying.
Not the cache !

It was by the first gum tree I checked. Unfortunately, I did not look hard enough, so it was also by the fifth gum tree I checked. SL. TFTC.
Took some exercise in the area this afternoon and found our way to this bit of bush. Pretty overgrown compared to some old photos. We poked around a bit until we found this well-hidden container. Some old logs indicated that there might be two containers here. We only found the plastic one which is in OK condition and very well hidden. A woman walked by with her dog and asked what we were looking for. When we told her, she offered the services of her dog who was a good digger. We declined but had a nice chat. Nice to 'see' you at the trivia last night, RS! SL TFTC Cheers... Gaztek
Hard to open. Had to use a stick and a bit of leverage to get it open after such a long time.
GPS signals weren’t the best but I found it after 10 mins. When I spotted it I thought it was a massive lizard hiding under the log! TFTC
With enough time up my sleeve this morning for a cache before work i headed out and fought my way through the traffic to the GZ.
I parked on Tomah St and waited for a gap in the cars before taking my chance and popping across Marsden Rd.
I searched high and low at the GZ in a wide area before narrowing in on the cache. It took me about 15 mins but i finally found the well camo’d container.
The container is in good condition and the log is dry.
Returning to my car i took the safe route and walked up to cross at the lights.
Thanks.

Tftc, I decided to knock over a few Detective caches to track down the jewel thief! This was one of the closest to home that I hadn't found!
Visiting family here for a couple of days and making time for some caches as well.Tftc
Stopped off after leaving the Amateur Radio NSW (HAM Radio) bi-monthly Trash & Treasure sale, at Quarry Road Dural, for this one. It had been a fun filled morning of HAM radio junk scrounging, and a nice BBQ lunch with lots of friendly chit chat, but now it was time to grab some caches while on the homeward journey. This was the 8th of 14 finds, and 3 DNFs, for the day.
Decided to access this one via the tracks through the reserve, rather than the more obvious access at Marsden Road. Parked the geomobile on Evans Road and then headed off through the reserve towards GZ.
Arrived at GZ and searched around the obvious natural structures until uncovering the hide and having the nicely camoed CIH. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found. Was wondering why one particular gum tree near GZ, a small weedy looking specimen, had it's own protective metal fence surrounding it. TFTC Rainbow Spirit.

Third time's the charm. Location was a bit misleading, but persistence and a bit of luck helped. TFTC
Found with Pink Bandit. Clue is a bit misleading... 5 metres? More like 1.5. Anyways, TFTC.
A DNF f rom last year has been erased. I'm not sure why I missed it last year although the GZ has now been narrowed by the tree care work.

A quick find while driving by. Phone or coordinates might be a bit out but clue helped identifying GZ easier . Logbook a bit damp after recent rain. Left a trinket for the next cacher. SL TFTC
Couldn’t find it but found hooch’s grave easily enough. Left itchy from all the weeds and bugs. Will have to try again at some point
Great hide. Wanted to find this one as on my way home from work. Note it is less than 5 metres from the tree way less
Find #181 9:55am. This one took a while. 35 mins of walking around trees and circles and re-checking GZ position. The many trees felled in the area was discouraging. Don't be distracted. I was relieved when I finally spotted the sneaky hide and signed the log. Ironically I had checked a spot only a couple of feet away 20 mins earlier !!! Them the breaks. TFTC
Located at 1:10pm. Thirteen months unloved! What a satisfying find before starting work. This was my third passing by to locate this one and I finally was able to get CIH! A favourite point is most definitely deserved! Cache and camouflage are intact still but the log is severely mouldy. I’ll try to put a fresh temporary log in, didn’t have any with me at this moment in time. Спасибо! תודה! L’chaim! TFTC Rainbow Spirit! Keep up the good work.
I thought I would give this long neglected cache some love but after no visits in almost 11 months it is still unfound. I will have to keep watch.
Had a muggle (neighbour) looking on from his property next to the park where the cache is. Lucky when l found it, I and the cache were out of his view. Log is very damp (didn't have a chance to air it out otherwise l would have) but could still write on log with a ballpoint pen. Replaced as found. Took nothing, left nothing. TFTC!
Master Q and I were in the area and decided to try this cache. Once at the location, I was worried the cache could be anywhere. After reading through some logs and seeing something earlier in my search, It clicked what the camo could be. I looked again and yes! Great idea for camo, loved it:)
I had also read that a previous cacher lost her ring. I said to Master Q how awesome it would be if we found it and could make her happy. We looked around for a few minutes and I was just about to leave it as the ring could be anywhere and I didn't even know which area to look for it. But then, there it was. Right in front of my feet. I couldn't believe it! That was just so awesome:) I've made contact and arrangements have been made to reunite the owner with the ring:)

Streak day 26 of trying to complete my calendar - today was another crazy day at work, though I was at least able to take my lunch break. After work came the usual Thursday night trek out to Parramatta. It's a worthwhile trek though as it means I get to have dinner with my dad. Tonight we went to another Mediterranean grill style place with delicious food. After dinner I walked dad home, relaxed for a while then figured it was late so I should head home. I was initially planning on doing a night cache that was published recently, but when I looked it up again found it was actually a bit out of my way. I decided to grab the nearby bright eyes cache since it was on my way home. Once I had finished it I noticed a lot of unfound caches nearby. I didn't have too long since it was late, but I definitely had time for one more quick one. Like those before me I was a little disconcerted by all the fallen trees where my GPS was pointing me. I tried several large guns nearby hoping for something cachelike. It was as I was moving towards another one that I slipped on wet grass. Flinging my arm out in an attempt to balance myself one of my rings got caught on my clothes or bag and flung painfully off my finger. It is a ring that is not completely sealed, so as I fell I think it opened enough to come off. I was rather upset as I have had that ring for more than 6 years and I wear it almost everywhere. I spent about 15 minutes trying to catch anything silver in my torchlight, but unfortunately I had to admit defeat. My ring was gone. :,( I was determined to try and find the cache though. So after consulting the log, photos and hint I started hunting again. In the end I spotted something a little out of place. Lifting it up I was rewarded with CIH. It was bittersweet though since it was a cache found but ring lost. I signed the log which was damp, but not as wet as the rest of the things in the cache. I made a note in there asking that if anyone finds my silver and green marble ring near the GZ that they contact me. It's not worth a lot of money, but it does have sentimental value. > I put the cache back as I had found it. When I did I was surprised to realise I had actually noted the covering but hadn't payed enough attention to it to investigate. Maybe next time my caching senses will pipe up a little louder. I was rather dejected as I walked back to my car. As I sit writing this log I can feel where my legs have been rather scratched up finding this cache. : / Although found it was disappointing over all though that's not the caches fault. TFTC.
Was in the area to pick up the water towers one, but after a fruitless search, took at walk down to this one. Not sure which big gum the hint refers to, but found the cache easily enough

Walked here after completing nearby multi - crossing the busy road. We thought that some recent turmoil near GZ might have impacted the find but we eventually discovered the container neatly tucked away a little further down the hill. Log is quite wet but felt tip pens are amazing

Found while on a trip to goulburn, thanks for bringing me here and for the cache.
Second attempt at this one and I almost gave up, but I persisted. Early in the search I saw something at GZ that did not look right, but at the same time could easily have been a materiel used below the soil surface. Funny, i still dismissed it in my mind, but my body was not listening and made the find. Cache container was full of water, but the log book was damp, but writeable. I sealed it in a new zip bag, but it really does need a day in the sun to dry out.
Pushing to make 1000 finds by next Saturday I travelled from Greystanes today to hope bag a good number. Thank to all the CO for hiding these for me to find.I was worried about this one as I approached GZ as2 large gumtree shad recent fallen and been cut up but luckily not the gum I wanted. Tftc.
Needed one today for my calendar. So I parked at the layby and headed down the path - only 360m. After walking down loads of steps on a path that looked like it was going the right way I discovered that I was no closer - so I cut my losses and back up to the car park. Nice easy walk to close to where I actually needed to be but unfortunately this area had a bit of damage done by the weekend storm and a huge gum tree had blown down across the path. I managed to get around it (hoping it wasn't the one I was looking for.) Nice quick find in the end, but about 1.5 inches of water inside the cache everything is absolutely drenched. It will need a bit of TLC. TFTC
#3001 - Impressive, simple camo just a metre from the big one. Busy road to cross. Best to use the traffic lights back up at Carlingford village. Many thanks to Rainbow Spirit for establishing and maintaining this cache.
Coords a bit shaky for me but I found the sistena version pretty quickly given the description and hint

Distance from original: 70.8 feet or 21.6 meters.

There should be two containers at GZ, one an ammo can, one a sistema, owing to me not finding the original at a cache check some time back when I couldn't find the original cache!

By Gum, which gum. Went to a few of them and read some of the past logs to gather some extra hints. Had no spare paper so I had to write to suggested co-ords on a fallen leaf. Back to the first tree that i originally stopped at, walked over it
TFTC,
Now what is the best thought you can show your better half on Valentines Day.
You wake them up at 6:15AM and are out the door by 7:00AM.
It's then a 70Km drive across to the other side of Sydney to join a group of Riley motor car Enthusiasts for Brunch. The first official Club weekend outing for the year.
After this you drive the long way home and pick up a few caches.
Found: GC1WCN1, GC2CJFG, GC4V92Y, GCPNHQ.
DNF:GC4PATA, GC61K9J
Visited a group of trackables.
This was at least 20M from GZ and was located after a long search by Nana nel.

After a search around in the long grass in thongs, backwards and forwards then read a previous log, went to the spot, thought it would have been there, but no, then I tried something else, yes that was it. Did the signing duties, thanks to Rainbow Spirit.
Long time to find as while a few people where saying new coords in their records these don't show up on the groundapeak app. Strange but the record book seemed smelly. Interesting little hide. Tftc
Coords were way off - but finally made the find. Cache contents are quite damp given how the camo has been attached to the cache lid. TFTC
#3144- We were trying to avoid the traffic that this area is so well known for, so parked in the side street at the other side of the park and followed the green mown highway up. We didn't follow the track we saw on the way back or it would have led us right to it. We, like others before us, found the co- ordinates to be about 14 m out and bikerbuddy will give some suggested ones in his log. I think we only found it because we read some logs, otherwise we may have assumed it gone. Once there, it was an easy find. Thank- our second for the day while in the area.
I DNFed this cache a long while ago. I remember ducking out from the car, hoping to make a quick find while the WaywardWoman waited with our boys. At the time I was puzzled at not finding it. Today, the mystery was solved. The WaywardWoman read over some logs and discovered that the coordinates were said to be out. So we both walked in different directions to about the distance stated, and I made an almost instantaneous find. I've attached my best estimate of GZ for future searchers. Thanks
Even with the blatantly obvious description and the clue, I still couldn't find the cache for some reason.
Last find of the morning before heading off for a weekend nearby on a Scout Leader Training Course.
Cheers

Not a great road to ride a bike along most days, but pretty quiet this morning, and the run down pennant hills road was nervewracking.
Got a bit confused, but a bit of a wander around helped. Not as spectacular as the last Rainbow Spirit cache I did, but a nice spot.
Thanks RS

I followed the search process as one of the previous finders. When I did find it, I was surprised it was where it wasconsidering the many other hiding places.

Thanks for the cache.
After finding Barking mad I had a look if I could walk up to this cache, but the only path I found was fenced off, so after a circular drive, a DNF and more circles, I parked at a nearby park. There was a little driveway near this cache, but I never would have been able the reverse out again, and the 150m walk was very welcome. Near GZ I went to one tree (man, they are BIG), then a hollow branch, then a fence then another tree and saw something unusual, a cache. After signing the log, I had a little trouble putting the lid on and I noticed the seal and container look a somewhat squarer then they should and the seal was bulging out, but the log and contents are all dry, so it must be sealing ok, for now.
Thanks for another walk and cache!
