Logs
Found Cache but as previous person said logs are saturated. I didnt have my Geo cashing kits with me to sound replace. Maybe next person can bring new log and plastic bag. TFTC
From the southernmost Point of the north island to Featherstone that was my way today.
Was a nice driving and I will write if there is a problem.
Thanks

I decided this morning to head out to Martinborough to collect a cache that I needed for a challenge. Miss 18 asked to come for the road trip so off we went.
Driving down SH53 from Featherston we were stopped at the intersection of Bidwills Cutting Rd heading into Martinborough. The Ruamahunga River is in flood due to the amount of rain we have had recently, so we were directed back to the road out to Kahutara, and then on to Pirinoa to loop back to Martinborough.
Naturally, we stopped for a few caches on the way.
This cache is quite close to the Ruamahunga River itself, and there is a lot of water at GZ. My socks and shoes are obviously not waterproof. The cache is safe and sound though.
A beautiful wee spot and had we had time we would have carried on and explored the scenic reserve. TFTC

I find fenced off scenic reserves a little frustrating with not much to see from the roadside. Looking at the map though perhaps there is a way in on the riverside. The cache was a quick find though. TFTC
Travelling down to Wellington via Cape Palliser for the second week of school holidays. Stayed at the Pinnacles campground last night. Back to Featherston and a quick stop and grab as we’re running out of daylight. stopped for a nice walk here. No problems finding the cache which was all fine. Thanks Skindo for the smiley.
Found after a bit of a search. Last one for the day before heading back over the hill.
We are down around Pirinoa for a week and visiting a few caches amongst other things like The pinnacles the Cape Palliser Lighthouse etc and the western side of Lake Waiararapa and we past this on our way . it was a straight forward find and was soon signed and replaced Thanks for this cache .
Posted the find before I had finished writing the log so here it is.
Over here for some r&r which always includes geocaching.
Grabbed this one on our way to Lake Ferry and Cape Palliser today.
Quick find although everything is very damp, still able to complete the log - SL and left as found. TFTC.

With the prospect of a nice long weekend available, I decided to spend a day or two over in the Wairarapa chasing archived Skindo puzzle caches and any other caches I would be passing right by including this one.
Pulling up near GZ, I have to admit to being underwhelmed by the immediate appearance of this reserve. Does anyone come here? It all looks so unkempt and unloved! Anyway, this was a straightforward park 'n' grab. The cache was found exactly as per the Hint, and encountering no issues with the cache or the contents, I was able to swiftly sign the log before replacing everything exactly as found and heading back to the car.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache, and Happy New Year to you.

Today was a stunning Wairarapa day for collecting some more caches, particularly with the new Wonders Of The World souvenirs to earn. Pretty quiet here this morning so all straight forward. TFTC
An easy find while driving around the area. Interesting place for the reserve. Glad to see that several cachers are keeping caches going in the area.
This showed up while driving past to get another cache. However a farmer was busy in nearby field. Clear to get on way back. Tftc
For some time now Mrs G had a set of solved puzzles ready to go find, mostly around Lake Wairarapa, and of course there would be a few others to collect en route to that area. Finally we got to go, taking a couple of days with an overnight stay in Greytown, so as to make the trip a bit leisurely and have time to enjoy the views as we travelled.
Today was Day 1 and we decided to drive straight to Featherston before beginning any caching so as to keep our focus on the lake area first.
The Garmin seemed a bit unsettled here, but the phone app took us to the right spot. Nearby it was interesting to see a kahikatea in flower. TFTC

Another one found, delaying our arrival at Cape Palliser. But hey, who cares when the sun is out and you’re caching!!
Another road trip to the Wairarapa, this time to pick up caches for the Mystery at the Museum. I headed out to Cape Palliser as I haven't been out this way for a few years - before I started geocaching so there's plenty for me to get.
I didn't fall in the same hole as Denomynator, but I did find the cache. All good here. TFTC

Glad not to twist my ankle on the uneven ground here. B found the cache in no time. TFTC Skindo!
Found with CP24 whilst passing through on our way to Lake Ferry.

Off on a weekend trip to Wellington area to be at a friends wedding, it would be rude of me not to get a few caches along the way
On the way to Lake Ferry for a wedding, this was a very slight detour, which allowed me to stretch the legs a little.
TFTC skindo, the cache was found in good order Signed, sealed and returned to GZ. 7 find(s) of 13 today, making this find #1841

Another nice quick find here. A tractor came out of the field opposite and pulled up to let the young son off to close the gate - one of the benefits of the school holidays! TFTC # 12,713
A great stand of original bush here. It's great that not ALL the land was cleared. TFTC .
Quick find where all good at GZ. Thanks for another smilie

Found while in Martinborough for a weekend of cycling around town on Saturday morning and then driving out to Lake Ferry in the afternoon for some sightseeing. There seems to be no entry point to get in an explore the reserve. TFTC
Pity that the cache is not actually inside the reserve As others have noted it is a very nice little place It has river views as well TFTC
I have a full day meeting in Wellington starting early on Monday morning, so I decided to take a leisurely route to it, via a two day tour of the Wairarapa. Booked me a cute little Airbnb cottage in Masterton and planned a route to an area that I have never been before. Left the Manawatu in the pre-dawn light to make the most of the day and it has been an awesome day, with springlike weather, and full of lighthouses, seals and of course, braces, powerpoles and caches.
Another quick find. On the homeward (or Airbnb) straight now and could do with a cup of tea. TFTC

the weather is not great but its good for keeping other people in doors and helping keeping the areas muggle free while we make the finds, thanks for the placement it has been another great out over this way caching.
No problem locating this - the container was visible as I approached. Signed the log and replaced the cache with a bit more natural cover

Day one of a two-day caching trip in southern Wairarapa. Last one for the day, before stopping at Corner Creek Camp for the night. Thanks skindo for the cache.
(Logging a bit late because I lost track of things for a while...) Found after a very enjoyable day autocrossing at a motorsport event at Tauherenikau on a hot, windy, Wairarapa day. Straight forward find with no puzzle to solve! TFTC.
Over in Martinborough for the weekend, and a drive to the coast. Grabbed a few caches as we passed.
TFTC skindo.

Had a great day with redsoxbean! Beaches, seals, pinnacles, and caches! Visiting from Pennsylvania, USA. TFTC ^_^
Out with Loth making our way to Cape Palliser. Logged many caches on the way and we hiked through the Putangirua Pinnacle to see the paths of the dead. We also saw seals along the beach and rocks. Tftc!!
Collecting a few caches while over in the Wairarapa.

#1462. Every once in a while there is a day of madness. Today was that day. To complete an Auckland based challenge cache (GC3QY6Q), I needed to visit 50 caches in a single calendar day. But I couldn't use any power trails. Each cache had to be at least 1 km apart. So I spent several nights planning out a route around the Wairarapa that would allow me to achieve this target plus enough spares to cover for the DNF's. I managed to get around all 50 caches (only needing to use a torch for the last one) and was home by 10pm. Apologies for this generic log. This was cache No.17 of the day. Lots of birds singing in the bush, including shining cuckoos. The cache was quickly found thanks to good coordinates. All dry inside. TFTC
Thanks for placing the cache. Log is very wet. Starting to disintegrate. Lovely day in the Wairarapa.
After being stranded at the Pinnacles due to high tide and lots of debris on the road, we had to high-tail it back to Wellington. We had just enough time for a few last caches though! Quick find. TFTC!
46. Now I just need to find the name of the nearby archived cache Nic-jay pointed out and I found and signed. That is a large hunk of timber! TFTC
Nice quick find, towards evening. After a long day on a Scout bike road over the Incline to the Wairarapa, I took the opportunity to drive around the lake for a cache grab.
TFTC!

Thank you for this wonderful cache. It was a beautiful place in an incredible country.
Another great day out with Paua. Visited some interesting places, Drove around the lakes, lunch at Lake ferry and then back through Martinborough to finish with a DNF on our way into Featherston.
Final for the day no 12 which is a big day for us especially after a busy day yesterday. Thanks for the caches, it was fun.
We take these reserves fairly much for granted but we would be much poorer without them.
#22 I have to admit to looking out for a memorial plaque or gates (or even an entrance) but I guess it is all about the trees.
First of the morning - logbook pretty soggy - I embossed my signature rather than wrote it.
On a quick dash to Cape Palliser and back. This was find number 25 for the day. Cache quickly located. Nice little bush reserve in middle of farm land. TFTC.
